Iranians arrested 115 Christians last year
Open Doors reports that Iranian officials arrested 115 Christians last year.
Christians had to pay about $1.2 million in bail fees.
Dr. David Landrum with Open Doors said, “Simply going to a house church is treated as a threat to national security. Christians—particularly converts from Islam—continued to be targeted for their faith. This repression stops Christians in Iran from living a normal life, free from fear.”
Iran is number 8 on the list of the top 50 countries which victimize Christians the most.
500 UK churches say: We are “Hong Kong ready”
Tens of thousands of Hong Kong residents are fleeing to the United Kingdom from Communist China’s oppression.
Already, 500 U.K. churches have signed up to be “Hong Kong ready” through a new initiative called UKHK.
The church initiative will help those migrating from Hong Kong and coincides with the Chinese New Year.
Release International reports the freedoms Hong Kong inherited from Britain are all gone now after China’s takeover last year.
Biden wants to force Christians to promote sexual perversion
U.S. President Joe Biden made it a top priority to pass the misnamed “Equality Act” during his first 100 days in office.
Alliance Defending Freedom has detailed how the bill is a deliberate attempt to force people to promote messages and celebrate events that violate their religious beliefs.
ADF said the bill would threaten churches, religious nonprofits, adoption agencies, creative professionals, and other businesses that oppose sexually perverted lifestyles.
Tennessee: Father of pre-born baby should be able to stop abortion
Republican lawmakers in Tennessee have introduced a bill that would allow the father of an unborn baby to prevent the mother from getting an abortion.
The bill states, “A person may petition a court, with jurisdiction over domestic relations matters, to request an injunction to prohibit a woman who is pregnant with the person’s unborn child from obtaining an abortion.”
Republican Senator Mark Pody, the bill sponsor, told Fox 17 News that fathers should be involved in the decision to raise a child.
PODY: “In this case, we’re saying that we want that father, who is just as much a parent, as that mother is — it took two of them to create this human being. And we believe they should have that opportunity to raise that child.”
62% of U.S. adults want a third party
A Gallup poll found a record number of Americans say the country needs a third political party.
Sixty-two percent of U.S. adults agreed that the Republican and Democratic parties do such a poor job representing the American people that a third party is needed.
The poll also found 50% of Americans identify as independents, the highest Gallup has on record.
Hallmark Channel hails homosexuality
Hallmark Channel announced it is making it a big priority this year to feature more characters who live sexually perverted lifestyles.
Blue’s Clues pushes pride in perversion
Similarly, Nickelodeon’s “Blue’s Clues”, a children’s show for toddlers, released an alphabet video celebrating such lifestyles. Listen to the beginning of the ABC song.
SINGERS: “Blue wants to sing a song with you. Get ready and get set. To sing a song about all 26 letters of the alphabet. Let’s sing. The Alphabet, bet, bet. The Alphabet, bet, bet. ‘A’ is Amazing, ‘B’ is so Brave.”
And now here is the section featuring the letter ‘P’ which stands for Pride featuring none other than rainbow-colored decorations, urging children to have “pride” in perversion.
SINGERS: “’M’ is so Magical. ‘N’ is a nice Neighbor nearby. ‘O’ is Outstanding, one of a kind. And ‘P’ is full of Pride.”
James 4:6 says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Children with mental health emergencies up due to COVID lockdowns
Hospitals are experiencing a big increase in the number of mental health emergencies among children during coronavirus lockdowns.
Clark County, Nevada reopened schools last month after student suicides doubled last year.
And the City of San Francisco is now suing its own school district to reopen schools after children suicides reached record highs there as well.
U.S. COVID cases down 40%
Last week, average daily new coronavirus cases in America dropped below 100,000 for the first time since last November.
New cases are trending downward by 40% over the last two weeks. And new coronavirus deaths are trending downward by 4%over the last two weeks.
Professor studies complex communication of whales
And finally, Professor Michael Bronstein at the Imperial College in London, England is utilizing artificial intelligence to decipher animal communications.
He leads a translation initiative that aims specifically at decoding the complex communication of whale songs.
In 2019, Bronstein’s team announced they had made thousands of whale recordings and were even able to predict which calls whales would use. However, they don’t know yet what the calls mean.
Amazingly, whales are known to communicate with each other over thousands of miles of ocean.
Genesis 1:21 says, “And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind . . . and God saw that it was good.”
