4,136 Christians Killed for Their Faith in Top 50 Worst Countries
Open Doors has released their 2019 persecution report. The conclusion? One in nine Christians worldwide experience high levels of persecution. 4,136 Christians were killed for faith-related reasons in the 50 worst countries last year. And 2,625 Christians were detained without trial, arrested, sentenced and imprisoned.
Overall, Open Doors calculates a 14% rise in persecution, year over year, from 2017. The three worst countries in the world for persecution of Christians are North Korea, Afghanistan, and Somalia.
In seven out of the worst nine nations in the world, the persecution is attributed to Islamic Oppression.
Planned Parenthood Killed 333,000 American Babies Last Year
333,000 babies killed. That’s the essence of Planned Parenthood’s 2018 annual report just released. And that represents a 4% increase in the murder of children over the previous year.
The organization took in $1.66 billion dollars, an 18% increase in revenue, year over year. $563 million of that income comes from taxpayer funding provided by Republican leadership in Congress.
The Lord warns us in Exodus 22:22-24, “You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry; and My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword.”
Texas Defunded the Murder Giant
Good news, though, for Planned Parenthood defunding in the State of Texas.
The Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against a lower court injunction which had put a halt to an attempt on the part of the State of Texas to block Planned Parenthood funding, reports LifeSiteNews.
The Fifth Circuit ruled that the lower court should have lent “greater weight” to state investigations which had determined that Planned Parenthood staff were medically and ethically unqualified.
India’s Military Stands Against Homosexuality, Adultery
A battle has formed in India between secularism and the old Christian law order from the colonial days.
The India Supreme Court decriminalized homosexuality and adultery last year, but now India’s army head has announced that neither crime will be allowed in the armed forces.
General Bipin Rawat told a press conference last week, “In the army, it is not acceptable.”
Both homosexuality and adultery are punishable offenses in the military code, requiring up to ten years in prison.
Restaurant Fined $7,000 for Preventing Transgender from Entering Wrong Bathroom
The Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar in Washington, D.C. has been fined $7,000 for disallowing a man dressed up as a woman from entering a women’s restroom, reports CBN.
The Attorney General’s office of Human Rights slapped the restaurant with a fine, and the restaurant fired the employees who tried to do the right thing. Plus, the restaurant must post a sign that reads: “All individuals are allowed to use the restroom that corresponds to their gender identity or expression.”
Lady Gaga: Pence Is “Worst Representation of What it Means to Be a Christian”
Over the weekend, pop star Lady Gaga called herself a Christian woman at a concert in Las Vegas while using the most foul possible language to describe the president of the United States.
She went on to criticize Vice President Mike Pence’s wife, Karen, who volunteers at a Christian school that will not endorse sodomy. She said that the Vice President was the “worst representation of what it means to be a Christian.”
“And to Mike Pence, who thinks it’s acceptable that his wife work at a school that bans LGBTQ people – wrong! (applause) You said you should not discriminate against Christianity – you are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian.”
Super Bowl Tickets Only $8,000 Apiece
Super Bowl 53 is scheduled for Sunday, February 3rd at 6:30 pm Eastern Time.
American churches will be relieved that their morning services will not be interrupted as traditionally experienced.
The Los Angeles Rams will be playing the New England Patriots in this year’s competition for the championship. Both teams won their playoffs by a surprising providence. The Rams took the win over New Orleans with Greg Zuerlein’s 57-yard field goal in the extra period.
And Patriots quarterback Tom Brady took the ball across the field for a last ditch touchdown play in an extra period to beat the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 37-31.
By the way, you will need to get a second mortgage on your home if you’re planning to go to the Superbowl. The average price for a seat at the Super Bowl this year on TicketIQ is $8,000!
But Ecclesiastes 2:22-26 asks the question, “What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with which they labor under the sun? All their days their work is grief and pain; … To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.”
Food Stamps Running Out
And finally, the government shutdown hits Day 31 today.
CNN reports that the US federal courts will run out of operating cash this Friday, and the last food stamps payments to cover February’s outlays happened over the last weekend.

Impact of U.S. Troop Withdrawal from Syria
The balance of powers is shifting in Syria with the US pull out.
Iranian forces have taken up firing missiles on opposition forces in Syria. And during the last two nights, Israel has been sending medium-range missiles into the Golam Heights targeting Iranian military interests.
Israel admits to having sent “thousands of strikes” into Syria and the Golam Heights in recent months, according to a report from The UK Guardian.
