Despite Communist Restrictions, Vietnamese Church Grows
The church in Vietnam has grown ten-fold since 1975 despite Communist restrictions as the evangelical population has increased from 160,000 to 1.57 million, according to Operation World.
While Christians have been experiencing more freedom in the cities, much of the persecution happens in remote provinces among ethnic minorities. Authorities have imprisoned and tortured pastors, confiscated Christian property, and broken up church meetings.
Jesus declared in Matthew 16:18, “I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Western Allies Accuse Russia
International leaders from the United States, France, and Germany joined the UK this week in accusing Russia of utilizing a nerve agent to attack a former Russian spy this month in Southern England.
Britain Prime Minister Theresa May announced Wednesday that 23 Russian diplomats would be expelled from the country after the nerve agent attack. Russia has denied involvement.
Dr. King’s Niece: We’re All “One Blood”
As we approach the April 4th 50th anniversary of the earthly departure of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., The World View spoke with Alveda King, his niece, about the need for us to seek after the biblical truths which he taught.
“My uncle, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, ‘We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.’
“He and my father, Rev. A.D. King, fought for civil rights. Today, in the political arena, and even from the womb to the tomb – the little babies in the womb all the way to the sick, the elderly, the poor – we must resolve our differences, not fight as, what we call, liberals and conservatives, Republicans and Democrats, and Tea Party and independents. We must come together and solve our differences reasonably as if we really can be brothers and sisters.”
Alveda King pointed to a Scripture that encapsulated Dr. King’s vision.
“The Bible says in Acts 17:26, God created all people of ‘one blood’, and if we’re ‘one blood’, that means we’re not separate races. And we should not be dividing on political parties. We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.”
Mississippi Town Caves, Allows Sodomite Parade
Sadly, the city of Starkville, Mississippi gave permission for its first parade to celebrate homosexuality last week after initially having the courage to deny the permit.
In response, a resident named Randy Vaughan paid $200 to rent a billboard and display Isaiah 3:9, but Lamar Advertising refused to rent the billboard to him without any explanation.
The verse reads, “The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.”
Will Disney Give Frozen’s Elsa a Girlfriend?
Disney’s highest-grossing animated film Frozen has a sequel coming out next year.
And viewers are now wondering if the movie’s princess, Elsa, will have a girlfriend in the sequel. In reference to Elsa’s sexuality, the film’s co-director Jennifer Lee mischievously said, “We’ll see where we go.”
Over 10,000 people have signed a petition hosted by LifeSiteNews urging Disney not to depict Elsa in a sexually perverted lifestyle.
Students Walkout for Gun Control
Thousands of students across the U.S. walked out of class this week for 17 minutes calling for gun control after the tragic Parkland, Florida school shooting a month ago that claimed the lives of 17 people.
Meanwhile, a Christian school in Virginia honored the victims with prayer. Instead of walking out of classes, students went to different parts of the Greenbrier Christian Academy campus to pray for 17 minutes for God’s healing on our land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Pakistan’s Trumped Up Charges of Blasphemy

Trump’s Pro-Life Stand vs. Obamacare’s Abortion-Pill Mandate
A federal district court ruled Monday that several states, led by Massachusetts, cannot sue the Trump administration over recent rules that provide religious freedom exemptions for pro-life groups from Obamacare’s abortion-pill mandate.
Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Gregory Baylor, who is defending the pro-life groups, stated, “The HHS rules follow the Constitution, federal law, and legal precedents to protect freedom of religion and conscience.”
