16 Years Ago Muslim Terrorists Attacked the US
Sixteen years ago today, Muslim terrorists attacked the twin towers of the World Trade Center. The co-anchors of New York Good Day were already talking about the hijacked 767 commercial jet airplane which had crashed into the north tower at 8:45 a.m.
“It appeared to bank sharply and smash directly, perhaps purposefully, into … Woaa. Oh my goodness, there’s another one. Oh my goodness, there’s another one. This seems to be on purpose. Oh my goodness. Is that a plane? Now it’s obvious I think that there is a second plane that just crashed into the World Trade Center. I think we have a terrorist act of proportions that we cannot begin to imagine at this juncture.”
The time was 9:03 a.m. And the south tower had just been hit by a second hijacked airplane.
Hurricane Irma Makes Landfall A Second Time in Florida
Hurricane Irma made its second landfall in Florida yesterday afternoon as it continues to move over southwest Florida and toward Tampa Bay, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Just before 4 p.m., the storm made landfall on Marco Island, about seven hours after Irma hit the Florida Keys.
Forecasters warned that if the surge occurs at high tide, areas in Tampa Bay — from Ana Maria Island to Clearwater Beach, could be hit by a storm surge as high as 15 feet, reports the Tampa Bay Times.
Trump Administration Is in Favor of Colorado Cake Baker Jack Phillips
The Supreme Court will soon hear the case of Jack Phillips, the owner of Colorado-based Masterpiece Cakeshop, who refused to make a cake for a homosexual wedding. And now, to its credit, the Trump administration has come out in support of Phillips, reports Christian Headlines.
In fact, the U.S. Justice Department has urged the Supreme Court to side with Phillips, saying, “Forcing Phillips to create expression for and participate in a ceremony that violates his sincerely held religious beliefs invades his First Amendment rights.”
While Phillips was willing to make cakes for homosexuals, he drew the line at celebrating a homosexual faux marriage with a wedding cake since God created man to marry a woman.
Actor Kirk Cameron Shares Thoughts From Scripture on Two Hurricanes
Kirk Cameron, the Christian star known for the TV show Growing Pains and the movie FireProof, recorded a short video from the Orlando, Florida airport with his take on both the approaching Hurricane Irma and the recent Hurricane Harvey.
“How should we look at two giant hurricanes coming back to back like this? Do we write them off as coincidence? Do we write it off as a statistical anomaly? Wow! Who would’ve thought? Is it just Mother Nature in a bad mood?”
He dismisses all of those explanations. Instead he quotes from Job 37: 11-13
“God saturates clouds with moisture; He scatters his lightning through them. At His direction, they swirl around over the face of the whole earth to do whatever he commands them. He brings the clouds to punish people, or to water His earth and demonstrate His faithful love.”
Cameron offered his insights into Hurricane Harvey and Irma.
“This is a spectacular display of God’s immense power. There’s a purpose. We may not always understand what that purpose is, but we know it’s not random. We know that weather is sent to cause us to respond to God in humility, awe and repentance. … God is the Lord of the wind and the waves. What this should be doing for all of us is causing us to remember that it’s God who supplies our life, breath and everything else, so that you and I would reach out to Him.”
His video has been viewed more than 240,000 times.
New York High Court Rules Against Assisted Suicide
Last Thursday, the New York State Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court unanimously refused to legalize assisted suicide in its 5-0 ruling, reports World Magazine.
Assisted suicide is the practice where a doctor prescribes lethal drugs that a patient then self-administers at a time of his or her choosing. In New York, assisting in a suicide is a felony.
Pro-lifers and disability advocates have successfully fought the legislative push for the practice in New York so far. Failing in the legislature, New York assisted suicide advocates, have pursued their cause in courts. That’s how the practice became legal in Canada.
32 People Died in Earthquake in Mexico
At least 32 people were killed after a massive 8.1-magnitude earthquake hit Mexico on Thursday, causing cracks in buildings and triggering a small tsunami, reports CNBC.
Australia Proceeds with Homosexual ‘Faux’ Marriage Vote
Australia’s High Court ruled last Thursday that a national postal vote to gauge public opinion on legalizing homosexual faux marriage could proceed as planned as the ballots are set to be mailed tomorrow, reports Christian Headlines.
In the first television ad against homosexual faux marriage, the Australian-based Coalition for Marriage featured mothers concerned about the ramifications if Australians do not vote no.
“School told my son he could wear a dress next year if he felt like it. … Kids under seven are being asked to roleplay being in a same sex relationship. … You can say no.”
Sadly, a majority support legalizing homosexual faux marriage.
9 Women’s Colleges Accept Men Identifying As Women
Nine women’s colleges now accept men who identify as women, reports Christian Headlines.
Spelman College, an historically black university for women in Atlanta, became the latest, announcing last Tuesday it would no longer consider gender during the application and admissions process.
Anti-Missionary Law Affects Primarily Russian Christians
Ever since a new Russian law passed in July 2016 which bans proselytizing, preaching, and praying outside recognized religious institutions, the government has filed 186 cases since enforcement began, with roughly half the charges against Christians, reports Christian Headlines.
Punishments ranged from fines and confiscation of materials to orders for deportation.
New Mexico Congressman Asks for Investigation Into Abortion Mill
Congressman Steve Pearce, a Republican from New Mexico, sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions seeking an investigation and prosecution of the University of New Mexico and its partner, Southwestern Women’s Options, the largest full-term abortion facility in the U.S., reports Life News.
Pearce was especially troubled about the February 4, 2017, death of Keisha Atkins from a botched late-term abortion she received at Southwestern Women’s Options.

Woman With Cancer Sacrifices Her Life to Save Her Unborn Baby
A terminally ill Michigan woman named Carrie DeKlyen, who sacrificed her life to save her unborn baby’s life, gave birth to her baby girl, Life Lynn, last Wednesday, reports Life News.
DeKlyen was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor in April. Not long after that, she and her husband, Nick, discovered that they were pregnant with their sixth child.
WOOD-TV reports Carrie refused to participate in a clinical trial that could have prolonged her life because doctors said she would have had to abort her unborn baby.
DeKlyen, 37, suffered a massive stroke earlier this summer and has not regained consciousness. She gave birth at 24 weeks and 5 days gestation while in a coma.
Her sister-in-law, Sonya Nelson said, “We are now just trying to keep Carrie comfortable and keeping it in God’s hands. We are so proud of Carrie. She laid down her life for her child while refusing treatment for (herself). Her rewards are going to be great.”
The family is asking people to pray for Carrie and baby Life Lynn. Nelson also set up a GoFundMe page where people can donate to help with the large family’s expenses.
Doctors Give Up On Christian Apologist Nabeel Qureshi
Cancer-stricken Christian apologist and author Nabeel Qureshi has asked for prayers that God would perform a miracle.
“The doctors have pretty much given up on treating me. They think my body is in its final stages of life. They have suggested palliative care. That’s what we’re doing; we are just doing comfort measures. For example, right now, the doctors have decided no more calories for me for a few days, and if that means that bad things happen, then bad things happen.”
The 34-year-old author of “Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus“, who first announced his stage 4 cancer diagnosis last August, didn’t pull any punches.
“It’s looking pretty grim. I could really use your prayers. If we want the Lord to come through and do a miracle, it needs to happen in the next few days.”
In a blog post announcing his cancer diagnosis, Qureshi shared how his Christian faith has comforted him.
“I am so thankful that I am a child of the Father, redeemed by the Son, and sealed in the Spirit. No, in the midst of the storm, I do not have to worry about my salvation, and for that I praise you, God.”
New Charles Dickens Film About ‘What Inspired ‘The Christmas Carol.’
Coming to the theaters Friday, November 22nd, The Man Who Invented Christmas, depicts the true life story about what inspired Charles Dickens to write one of the most cherished novels of all time, “A Christmas Carol.”

Stranger Provides A Mailbox For a Blind Woman So She Won’t Get Hit By a Car
And finally, a blind woman named Lynda Tennette in Henrico, Virginia has been worried for years that one day she would get hit by a car on the busy roadway where she has to go into the street to open her mailbox, reports CBS6
But thanks to a Good Samaritan named Wesley Benton, owner of Benton Home Improvement, her problem is solved. With his own money, he installed a mailbox with access in the back so that she no longer has to step into the busy road.
Benton shared what motivated him after seeing the initial news report.
“In 1959, my great-grandmother was hit by a car taking her mail across the street.”
Tennette was surprised and grateful.
“I’m just shocked. Can I give you a hug for doing this for me? Thank you so much. Thank you.”
