Refugee Families in Uganda Need the Word of God

South Sudan has over 150,000 child refugees who have gone to Uganda, and World Vision is saying that the crisis that the children have faced has left lasting effects on them.

However, The World View spoke to William Levi, director of Operation Nehemiah Missions in South Sudan, who said that he is advocating that pastors, not secular psychologists, speak to the children and their families.

“I would like to advocate the role of the pastors who are ministering there in the camps to minister to the Word of God to these young people or to minister to the families who are impacted by this war. And if this organization really cares about the future of these children because they are talking about the impact of the war on the generation to come, they need to talk about the impact of the Scripture and the Bible in the lives of these young people who are being affected by this war.”

Levi said that when they were in Sudan this year, he asked the pastors from several different tribes how they should reach out to these displaced young people.

“They said, ‘Just get us radios.’ You have a radio station. We want to hear the gospel. That’s all there is to it.”

Romans 10:14 asks, “And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Charlie Gard’s Parents Request That He Be Allowed to Pass Away at Home

Charlie Gard’s parents have a final request for their 11-month-old son: the chance to take him home to die, according to Life News.

Based on new evidence, the couple said Charlie’s condition has deteriorated too much and there is no longer any hope of the experimental treatment working.

When his life support is scheduled to be removed at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital is not yet known.

Charlie’s mother Connie told the Royal Court of Justice in London that “Charlie was left to lie and deteriorate. We wanted Charlie to have the chance … [there] was never false hope, as confirmed by many experts. Now we’ll never know… We should have been trusted as parents.”

British Secretary of State for Education Says the Church Should Officiate Homosexual Weddings

The church must “keep up” with the modern world by presiding over homosexual faux weddings, said the Secretary of State for Education Justine Greening, reports The Telegraph.

Currently, Church of England priests are legally not allowed to marry homosexual couples in church or bless their fake marriages.

Senator John McCain Blasts Media and Tribal Politics

After Senator John McCain’s doctors removed a blood clot above his left eye and diagnosed him with an aggressive brain cancer, the 80-year-old Republican from Arizona returned to the Senate chamber yesterday to cast a crucial vote to allow debate to proceed as Republicans seek to repeal ObamaCare, reports The Washington Post.

But then, like an angry prophet, Sen. McCain condemned the tribal politics besetting the nation.

“Stop listening to the bombastic loudmouths on the radio, television and the internet. They don’t want anything done for the public good. Our incapacity is their livelihood….I will not vote for this bill as it is today. It’s a shell of a bill right now. We all know that.”

Attorney General Jeff Sessions Could Be Replaced by Senator Ted Cruz

If Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigns or is fired by President Donald Trump, he could be replaced by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, according to The Washington Post.

Last week, Trump told The New York Times he never would have appointed Sessions had he known he would have recused himself from the Russia investigation. And on Monday, Trump tweeted that the “beleaguered” Sessions should be looking at possible crimes by Hillary Clinton, including her own ties to Russia.

Late Monday night, though, Cruz himself weighed in, stressing that he was not interested in the job.

Prominent evangelicals have spoken out in defense of President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor Jared Kushner, an orthodox Jew, as he faced questioning from a United States Senate committee over his contacts with Russian officials on Monday, describing him as one of the most valued confidantes Christian leaders have inside the White House, reports The Christian Post.

The Christian Post reports that Johnnie Moore, former vice president at Liberty University, said, “All of us that know [Jared Kushner] would say that there isn’t a person that we know with greater integrity, nor a person who is more kind and more thoughtful.”

When he started eating at Salt Lick Taco Bar, he noticed a man dining next to him who stood up from his table with a look of desperate fear on his face. After a nearby woman gave the man the Heimlich maneuver to no avail, Freeman took over and on the second attempt was able to successfully dislodge a piece of brisket from Marcus Ryan’s throat.

The football star tweeted a picture of the two together with the comment, “WOW Mom would be proud.”

Charlie Gard’s Mother Says He Is Not and Was Not Brain Dead

According to Charlie Gard’s mother’s full statement to Justice Nicholas Francis, she made 5 powerful arguments including the fact that Charlie is not “brain dead.” Indeed he “still responds to us, even now.”

The reason why Charlie did not receive treatment was because of the hospital’s assertion that “Charlie was found to have ‘irreversible brain damage’ and treatment was considered as ‘futile’.  [However], renowned pediatric neurologists Dr. Hirano and Dr. Bertini have now reviewed Charlie’s MRI’s and EEG’s which were performed in January and April respectively, and they have confirmed that these MRI’s and EEG’s showed NO actual evidence of irreversible brain damage.”

Charlie’s mother posited that back in January “Charlie’s muscles were in pretty good shape …although obviously weaker than a child of similar age, and his brain scan was that of a relatively normal child of his age. He may well have had some disabilities later on in life but his quality of life could have been improved greatly.”

Archeologists Find What May Be Remains of Tabernacle Sacrifices

At the site of Shiloh, an ancient city on the West Bank, archaeologists are hunting for evidence of the tabernacle that once housed the Ark of the Covenant, reports Fox News.

According to Joshua 18:1, the tabernacle was located at Shiloh in 1400 B.C. for about 350 years.

Associates for Biblical Research recently completed four weeks of excavation during which they unearthed a huge amount of animal bones which is likely related to animal sacrifices at the sacred site.

Dr. Scott Stripling, director of excavations from The Bible Seminary in Houston, Texas, said, “The Bible specifies which animals are sacrificial animals and it also says that they are young animals.  If the bones match the animals of the Biblical sacrificial system and the type and age specified, then we may be looking at evidence that the tabernacle sat nearby.”

But she sought sanctuary in Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Church, refusing to leave her children, all of whom are U.S. citizens and two of whom are in college, according to ABC News Friday.

Joel Osteen Objects to Accusations of Promoting “Prosperity Gospel”

Joel Osteen, senior pastor of the 40,000-member Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, has hit back at those who accuse him of promoting the “prosperity gospel” in a recent Denver Post article, claiming he simply focuses on “helping” people and “being a blessing” to those around him.

In addition, during a 2013 interview with the Christian Post, Osteen further explained why he doesn’t like to be grouped in with televangelists who promote the prosperity gospel: “I get grouped into the prosperity gospel and I never think it’s fair… I think prosperity, and I’ve said it 1,000 times, it’s being healthy, it’s having children, it’s having peace of mind. Money is part of it; and yes, I believe God wants us to excel.”

Washington State Pregnancy Clinic Forced to Say They Are Not a Health Care Facility

Within the last year, Care Net of Puget Sound, Washington —a licensed medical provider which offers free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and STD screenings — has contributed over $6 million worth of services at zero cost to taxpayers.

But starting this Thursday, under compulsion of an unelected panel of the King County Board of Health, they will be forced to post a false statement in their waiting rooms and online that says, “This facility is not a health care facility” in 48-point font.

Kim Triller, Care Net’s director said, “What it gets down to is, ‘Well, you’re no longer considered a health care facility unless you provide or refer for abortion.”

And that’s the World View in Five Minutes.

What kind of worldview do your children get? The vast majority of teens from Christian families are abandoning a biblical worldview, according to the Barna Group. Sadly, many parents do not realize that the curriculum they have chosen for their children actually conveys the wrong worldview of history, science, life’s purpose, and truth. Pass on the faith to your children with a distinctively Christian education.
