2 Churches Bombed in Northern Egypt

Two churches in Northern Egypt were bombed yesterday, Palm Sunday, reported Middle East Concern. At least 43 people died, and over 100 more were injured. The first bomb went off at St. George’s Coptic Orthodox church in Tanta, killing 26 people.

Later in the morning, a suicide bomber was blocked before detonating his bomb outside St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Alexandria, killing six people and injuring 33. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Please pray that these suffering churches and families would look to Christ in these terrible circumstances.

The Apostle Paul asks, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? … No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:35, 37)

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson Discusses U.S. Policy Towards Syria

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson joined ABC’s George Stephanopoulos to discuss the evolving U.S. policy towards Syria on yesterday’s edition of “This Week.” Tillerson reiterated that the Trump administration is not seeking regime change in Syria and its “military posture” towards the Assad regime remains unchanged after Thursday’s missile strikes.

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS:  “Right now, the Syrian people have no way to remove Assad. That’s going to take greater pressure from the United States, from the international coalition, perhaps military pressure.”

TILLERSON:  “Well ultimately it could, George, but we’ve seen what that looks like when you undertake a violent regime change in Libya and the situation in Libya continues to be very chaotic and I would argue that the life of the Libyan people has — is not all that well off today.  So I think we have to learn the lessons of the past and learn the lessons of what went wrong in Libya when you choose that pathway of regime change. …”

STEPHANOPOULOS: “So it sounds like from what you’re saying right now, there is no real change in the United States’ military stance towards Syria from what it was last week.”

TILLERSON: That’s correct, George. This strike — I think the president was very clear in his message to the American people — that this strike was related solely to the most recent horrific use of chemical weapons against women, children, and as the president said, even small babies.”

Target Says That Bathroom Policy Was a ‘Mistake.’

Target put up a statement on their website Saturday, expressing regrets about their transgender bathroom policy, according to Alliance Defending Freedom.

Target CEO Brian Cornell said, “Target didn’t adequately assess the risk, and the ensuing backlash was self-inflicted.” Mr. Cornell indicated his frustration over how the company policy was publicized.

Since nearly 1,500,000 Christians have signed on to the American Family Association’s boycott of Target, the company’s stock has dropped by a whopping 35 percent.

Study On What Makes ‘Stable Families’ Comes Out

What makes for family stability?

Today, about one in five U.S. children are born to cohabiting couples.  But a recent study by the Social Trends Institute and the Institute for Family Studies found that marriage makes for much better family stability for kids over cohabitation, regardless of geography or education.

“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.” (Hebrews 13:4)

Donnelly recently attended a homeschool conference in St. Petersburg where he found “genuine optimism for the future.”
