Several People Injured and 44 Arrested in Charlotte Riots

Several police officers and civilians were injured in riots in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday evening. 44 people were arrested, and thanks be to God no lives were lost. CNN points out a marked difference between the Tulsa shooting and the Charlotte shooting. While there were riots, looting, and blood in the street earlier this week in Charlotte, CNN said, “Tulsa was praying.” Pictures of Tulsa churches show praying crowds, whites and blacks hugging each other, and lifting up prayers to God for His mercy.

The media has also noted that the Charlotte homosexual pride event set attendance records several weeks ago, with 130,000 people participating. And it was the Charlotte, North Carolina City Council that passed the now infamous Transgender Ordinance in February this year.

Romans 13:13 says, But “Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy.”

Federal Judge Upholds North Carolina Religious Exemption from Issuing Homosexual Marriage Licenses

Last year, the North Carolina legislature approved a bill that allowed local magistrates to refuse homosexual marriage licenses based on their religious beliefs. Homosexuals were still offended by this religious exemption and appealed. . . however this week, a federal judge upheld the law and dismissed the case.

Drunken Muslims Attack Several Pakistani Christians in Their Own Homes

Several Pakistani Christians were beaten up in their own homes, by a mob of drunken Muslims this week. The attack happened after the Christians asked the men to be quieter in the street near their homes. The men left and returned with more people to assault the Christians; seven were injured and are now in the hospital.

Wilson Chowdhry of the British Pakistani Christian Association told The World View that it is pretty rare for Pakistani Christians to receive any justice because of the Muslim bias.  

“We’ve been very fortunate on two occasions in recent weeks. For the majority of cases that we challenge, very rarely have any justice at all. In fact, it’s very difficult to actually get the initial investigation with local police. However, we do now have a relationship with the Pakistani government, and are able to use that as a tool to leave a better response.”

Christians in Nigeria Increasingly Targeted by Boko Haram

Attacks on Christians are on the rise again in Nigeria, Africa after eight Christians were killed on Sunday. The World View spoke to William Stark of International Christian Concern about the attacks. He said that Christians feel particularly vulnerable.

“You don’t have to be necessarily on the front lines to be in the crosshairs of Boko Haram, unfortunately, in Nigeria. There’s a number of Christian communities who have been victimized historically by Boko Haram. The communities in and around the Chibok area, which is where this most recent attack happened, have been affected by Boko Haram before, and need protection of some sort.”

Prime Minister of Japan Warns U.S. Should Take North Korea’s Threat Seriously

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe warns that the U.S. should take North Korea’s nuclear threats seriously. According to CNN, Prime Minister Abe testified that several of the missile launches from North Korea this year have come within 200 nautical miles of Japan.

Christians Respond With the Gospel to Opening of Satanic Temple in Salem, Massachusetts

Christians are responding to the opening of a Satanic Temple in Salem, Massachusetts with the gospel​. Arthur Savage, the pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, told the Christian Post that, “Salem is definitely a place of spiritual warfare, and a place where it’s important for Christians to gather to pray and to be in unity, and to preach Christ.”

Revelation 20 says, “The devil that deceived [the nations] was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone. . . and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”  

Village Leader in Southeast Asia Returns to Life After Prayers from Missionaries

One dead man in Southeast Asia came back to life after several missionaries prayed, according to the International Mission Board. It was the village leader, and apparently the man’s breath returned to him after the missionaries prayed over him. The villagers are now burning their idols and embracing the gospel of Christ.   

Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Four-Year-Old Boy Jumps on Sleeping Granddad and Saves His Life

A four-year-old boy is being credited with saving his grandfather’s life. Dave Berrier, age 48, had a heart attack while sleeping until his grandson, Lyric, started jumping on him. He drove to the hospital and discovered that he had undergone a massive heart attack. The doctors told Fox News that the four-year-old “actually saved his granddad’s life!”

Pastor Jeffress Says Admitting Thousands of Muslim Refugees to the U.S. is Insanity

Texas Pastor Robert Jeffress says President Obama’s plan to admit 110,000 more refugees to the U.S. is “insanity.” He mentioned, in an interview with Fox Business, that most of the refugees coming into the U.S. are Muslims and not Christians. Pastor Jeffress asked why the U.S. would show compassion to refugees if they hadn’t shown very much concern for those affected by terror attacks within the U.S.
