Many Syrian Refugees Fleeing to Turkey Convert to Christianity
Millions of refugees have fled to Turkey especially from Syria. Turkey is a Muslim majority nation, but many of the refugees have turned to Christ. They are treated as infidels, so many keep their Christianity a secret. The World View spoke to Amie Cotton of Christian Aid Mission about the situation of Christian converts in Turkey.
“There are a lot of Muslims there. And so there is a fear; many Syrian refugees are coming from a Muslim background, and so for them to acknowledge their faith in Jesus Christ, and to see Him more than just… you know He’s taught in Islam, that Jesus is a prophet, like Mohammed, but Mohammed is greater, in the Islamic religion. And so, for them to see the love of Christ, for them to see people that are reaching out to them unselfishly and serving in the name of Jesus, they are curious.”

Latin America music star Juan Luis Morera Luna, better known as Wisin, and his wife Yomaira recently gave testimony to their choice for life. According to Life Site News, their daughter Victoria was diagnosed with Trisomy 13 before birth. Doctors often recommend abortion, unfortunately, in the case of this rare genetic condition, and many parents choose to murder their children. Wisin and his wife rejected the advice to murder. Yomaira said, “Don’t abort your babies, even when doctors recommend it. Doctors try to convince you that abortion is right, but that’s not the path God wants us to choose, because we are not the ones to decide the life and death of a human being, even our own children.
