Nigerian Muslims killed 42 Christians in 11 villages

Nigerian Muslim gunmen, wielding AK-47s and machetes, killed 42 Christians and burned dozens of houses near Mangu in Nigeria’s Plateau State, reports International Christian Concern.

The attackers – suspected to be Fulani Muslim militants – raided at least 11 villages from midnight to dawn early Tuesday, May 16th in Nigeria’s north-central region about 55 miles from the capital, Jos.

Plateau State Governor-elect Caleb Mutfwang condemned the Fulani militants and called on the federal government to do more to help secure the state.  He described the attacks as “ethnic cleansing.”

Radical Islamic Fulani militias have targeted the mostly Christian farming communities. More than 50,000 Christians have been killed and millions displaced over the past 20 years.

Revelation 6:9-10 says, “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, ‘How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until You judge the inhabitants of the Earth and avenge our blood?’”

Canadian teen arrested for handing out Bibles on public sidewalk

On May 17th, Canadian law enforcement officers in Alberta, Canada arrested 16-year-old Josh Alexander for handing out Bibles on a public sidewalk after an altercation broke out between him, his supporters, and a group of pro-transgender hecklers, reports Faithwire.com.

In a tweet that has been read by 3.4 million people, he wrote that he “was handcuffed and put in a paddy wagon for offering students Bibles on a public sidewalk in Calgary.  I was released and told if I returned I would be arrested and charged. I continued handing out Bibles. For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.”

What a powerful reference to Paul’s declaration in Romans 1:16. He said, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

In a follow-up tweet, Alexander wrote, “I will not yield to the pressure of the woke mob or corrupt state. We will continue to spread the truth in love.”

Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada, condemned law enforcement officers for their apparent double standard.

He tweeted, “If you burn a church in this country, the police won’t devote any resources to catching you. If you hand out Bibles on the sidewalk, however — or hold a rally to defend fundamental rights in a time of hysteria — you will be arrested and fined immediately. We’re a sick society.”

Durham Report: FBI, DOJ failed to practice ‘Strict Fidelity to the Law’ in Trump-Russia Investigation

In his newly-released report, Special Counsel John Durham concludes that the FBI merely failed to practice “strict fidelity to the law” in its launch and handling of the Crossfire Hurricane surveillance and investigation seeking to prove former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia, reports Media Research Center TV.

Rather than state outright that FBI and Justice Department operatives broke the law, Durham resorted to a euphemism implying that they simply weren’t faithful to the law.

DeSantis bans puberty blockers and transgender surgeries for minors

On Wednesday, Florida Republican governor and likely presidential candidate Ron DeSantis officially banned mutilating transgender surgeries and drugs for minors as part of a broad legislative package to protect the state’s kids from transgender ideology, reports LifeSiteNews.com.

DeSANTIS: “You have a movement amongst, I would say, rogue elements of the medical establishment to do things that is basically the mutilation of minors. I mean, they’re trying to do sex change operations on minors, giving them things like puberty blockers and doing things that are irreversible to them.”

Planned Parenthood immediately started canceling their transgender appointments after the bill was signed as the organization assesses the law’s implications.

In addition, DeSantis signed bills which:

  • protect students from having to declare their pronouns in school.
  • prohibit classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in Pre-K through 8th
  • protect children from sexually explicit performances, including Drag Queen shows, in all venues.
  • ensure that Florida’s bathrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms are safe places for women.

DeSantis said, “Florida is proud to lead the way in standing up for our children.  As the world goes mad, Florida represents a refuge of sanity and a citadel of normalcy.”

C.S. Lewis’ transformation from atheist to Christian captured on film

And finally, have you ever heard someone say, “You were born to do this?” It’s a proclamation that perfectly applies to award-winning actor Max McLean, reports The Christian Post.

McLean was, without a doubt, born to portray C.S. Lewis.

Possessing the look, the voice, and even the mannerisms of the legendary literary icon, McLean is brilliant in the Christian film, “The Most Reluctant Convert,” that was recently released on the Pure Flix Streaming platform.

The seasoned veteran of many theatrical productions domestically and abroad plays an elder C.S. Lewis. McLean looks back on the Mere Christianity author’s remarkable journey from hard-boiled atheist to the most renowned Christian writer of the 20th Century.

McLean believes Lewis’ contributions to literature and culture transcend and no one literary work defines him.

The actor said, “He had an unusual ability to translate what was in his mind into magnificent prose and speech. He’s one of the great English writers of all time. He is not just limited to the 20th century. … He wakes up certain parts of your brain that are often dormant.”
