Nigerian Muslims have killed 2,500 Christians in 2023

In the first six months of 2023, Fulani Muslim militants, and other allied jihadist groups, slaughtered 2,500 Christians in Nigeria.

The data came from a report published by the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law, a Nigerian investigative firm focusing on human rights issues.

International Christian Concern is urging the U.S. State Department to add Nigeria to the list of Countries of Particular Concern. Unfortunately, despite the recommendation from the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, the apparently blind State Department did not place Nigeria on that list which would have held it diplomatically accountable for its sins.

Please pray that these Muslim militants in Nigeria would become convicted of their sin. Pray that God would send these terrorists nightmares over the next week that will get their attention and they will tremble before Almighty God for their deadly violence. Pray that they would repent and turn to Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Pray for accountability. Amos 5:24 says, “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an everflowing stream.”

Also, please send a polite email to the Nigerian embassy in Washington, D.C., pleading with them to do what they can to protect the Nigerian Christians.  Send your one to two-sentence email to info@NigeriaEmbassyUSA.org

Hunter Biden pleads not guilty

Hunter Biden’s plea deal hit a roadblock during an unexpectedly contentious federal court hearing Wednesday as prosecutors and Biden’s attorneys initially disagreed about the scope of the agreement and the judge then balked at approving the deal. Tensions grew after a prosecutor said the federal investigation into the president’s son is ongoing, reports Politico.

After pressing both sides for details about the plea deal, U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika, a Trump appointee, adjourned the hearing so that the two sides could refine and clarify the agreement — under which Biden had planned to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax offenses and likely avoid punishment on a felony gun charge.

At the end of the tumultuous three-hour hearing, Biden instead wound up pleading not guilty to all three charges, and the judge postponed further proceedings, likely for a month or more.

Chase Bank closes accounts of Dr. Mercola, a COVID shot critic

Dr. Joseph Mercola, the author of The Truth About COVID-19: Exposing The Great Reset, Lockdowns, Vaccine Passports, and the New Normal had his business bank account shut down by Chase Bank, reports Florida’s Voice.

In addition, he tweeted, Chase shut down “the accounts of my CEO and CFO, as well as their family members (including spouse and child). They’ve refused to provide any reason for doing so, the oldest account has been active for 18 years.”

Mercola Market CEO Steven Rye concluded that Chase closed the accounts because Dr. Mercola, who sells vitamins and supplements, exposed the likelihood that the COVID virus “was engineered in a laboratory funded by the NIH.”

Amalia Legaspi, the CFO of Mercola Market, explained that her joint checking account with her husband, who has dementia and is bedridden in the Philippines, was closed. She uses the account to send money for his medical needs. And she was told she is not allowed to open another bank account in his name.

According to Dr. Mercola, Chase Bank’s decision to close multiple accounts, is the latest in a series of attempts to shut him up because he disagrees with the government’s status quo narrative.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson said, “If you want to know what’s True, look for what speech is being Punished.”

Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor died at 56

(audio excerpt of “Nothing Compares 2 U”)

That’s Sinéad O’Connor, singing “Nothing Compares 2 U”, originally written by Prince.

The troubled Irish singer, known for her stirring voice and outspoken views, died in her home on Wednesday in Southeast London at the age of 56, reports Reuters. The circumstances of her death were unclear.

Brash and direct, she was known for her shaved head, pained expression, and shapeless wardrobe which was a direct challenge to Biblical femininity.

Long before the U.S. Catholic Church or the Irish Catholic Church recognized the pervasiveness of sexual abuse at the hands of clergy, O’Connor famously ripped up her late mother’s picture of Pope John Paul II on NBC’s Saturday Night Live in 1992.

Listen to the audio of that defining moment, including the sound of the rips of the Pope’s photo.

O’CONNOR: “We have confidence in the victory of good over evil.”

She suffered abuse at the hands of her own mother and possibly at the hands of Catholic leaders at a Magdalene asylum where she had been sent for 18 months after she had been caught shoplifting at the age of 15.

O’Connor was married and divorced four times and had four children, one of whom, Shane, committed suicide at the age of 17 in January 2022, reported The Guardian.

On an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show broadcast on October 4 2007, O’Connor disclosed that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder four years earlier, and had attempted suicide on her 33rd birthday, December 8, 1999.

In October 2018, O’Connor converted to Islam, calling it “the natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian’s journey.” The ceremony was conducted in Ireland by Sunni Islamic theologian Shaykh Umar Al-Qadri. O’Connor also changed her name to Shuhada’ Davitt.

Hebrews 9:27 says, “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.”

How a 10-year-old boy was inspired to write his pastor

On July 24th, I spoke to Isaac, a 10-year-old boy in Lexington Park, Maryland. He gave $20 of his weed whacking money to The Worldview.

One soundbite that I didn’t have time to share that day was what he said about a story we had just featured about how lonely pastors are today. He decided to act on my proposed action step.

Listen.

ISAAC: “Today, I heard about the lonely pastors, that they need a lot of encouragement. So, I’m gonna write a letter to them or draw a picture.”

McMANUS: “That’s wonderful. What is your pastor’s name?”

ISAAC: “Pastor Damon Young.”

McMANUS: “What do you think you’re going to say to Pastor Young?”

ISAAC: “Thank you for the, for all the hard work you do. And for all the prea … the wonderful preaching you do every week. And [do] not grow weary of doing good for, in due season, we shall reap if we don’t lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9)

McMANUS: “Great! That will encourage him. I know he will love getting that.”
