Police in Tucson, Arizona threatened a Christian man with arrest if he continued to speak about Jesus at a public outdoor event, according to a Fox News report. A video shows the police informing David Hoffman he could not be on the street talking to people about Jesus in an unamplified “normal voice.”  To hear his interaction with police click on the link in our transcript at www.theworldview.com Acts 5 Speaks to this: “But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” 

A big win for religious liberty!. . .  Lifewise Academy is an organization that provides optional, privately funded, off-campus Bible education to public school students during school hours. A Washington State school district was requiring students to keep any Bibles received from LifeWise sealed in envelopes in their backpacks. Lifewise sued, and now . . . a settlement has been reached. The Everett School District Board of Directors must undergo religious liberty training, make changes to district policies governing religious activities, issue a public written apology on the district’s website visible for six months, and pay $275,000 in attorney’s fees.

The next few weeks will determine the future of the world — especially in the Western Hemisphere. The Brazilian runoff election is scheduled for this Sunday. Yesterday’s debate caught the Brazilian current president Lula threatening his challenger, the more conservative, Flavio Bolsonaro with arrest if he is elected. Bolsonaro rebuked the socialist “in the Name of Jesus,” and reminded him that quote “Only the Lord is God!” 

Alberta Historic Vote To Separate From Canada

Alberta’s separation vote is happening right now. . . Voters in the Canadian province will make the first decision on whether to separate from Canada, and the results should be out today. And the United States his heading for its mid terms elections in just two weeks from today. The betting odds are 90% that the democrats will capture the House, and roughly 60% that they will take the Senate. But all will play out according to God’s purposes, 100%.

The average Producer Price Index inflation rate for Trump’s first 21 months in office ran at 4.3%. . . up from 2.9% under Biden’s last 21 months in office. September’s PPI came in at 6.3% The consumer price index is running at 3.7%, up from 3% last year at this time.

Violence In France Continues

France is experiencing its worst riots in a very long time. Over the weekend, violent groups have set fires, looted businesses, and attacked public buildings in Paris and other cities. Approximately 2,400 people were arrested, and nearly 1,000 police officers were injured. President Emmanuel Macron condemned the violence, while his government blamed radical-left groups and opportunistic criminals for much of the destruction. Almost 10,000 people have been arrested in these riots over the last 2 months. This exceeds the fallout from riots occurring in 2023 and 2005.

Political Split in America Has Never Been Deepening

With the rise of the left, comes the rise of the right as well. The conservative party Le Pens has grown in support from roughly 10% to 30% of the popular vote since 2005. Fox News Digital has identified 54 far left, socialist, communist, Marxist, revolutionary organizations in France and elsewhere across Europe that are organizing the riots and working to destabilize society.  The news outlet also reports that an international coalition of 28 communist and socialist youth and organizations are organizing more riots in at least 12 countries across Europe.

Summit Proposed Concerning Russian/Ukranian Conflict

Now, Russia’s president Vladimir Putin has proposed a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping and United States President Donald Trump regarding the Ukraine War.  The meeting would exclude current Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Attacks between the two countries have continued this year, with Ukraine targeting Russian oil refineries in recent weeks.

Illinois Democrat Governor JB Pritzker, is attacking his Republican opponent for his faith. 

The GOP nominee, Darren Bailey, is a former state Senator and a Christian who founded a Christian school.

The New American reported, “Pritzker’s campaign has published press releases attacking Bailey for his and his school’s theological stances. On October 14, for example, the campaign mocked Bailey because his school upholds biblical positions on the family, including that a husband ‘leads the family’ — as opposed to the radical social agenda taught in government schools. 

Bailey responded that he wanted “to talk about high property taxes [and] high utility costs,” saying the attack was a “perfect example of JB Pritzker being successful by diverting the message.” 

David Smith of the Illinois Family Institute wrote that “The hypocrisy is staggering coming from JB Pritzker, who repealed parental notification of abortion, expanded taxpayer funding for abortion, & legalized assisted suicide.” 

An Unique Family Reunion For A Young Pilot

GoodNewsNetwork reports a truly unique family reunion.   A young Dutch pilot, Zoe, flew a commercial jet alongside her father, Michel, as captain for the first time!   The unique family’s work shift came as a surprise, but that’s not the only surprise Zoe’s mother, Marjan, served as stewardess on the same flight.  None of the three initially realized their schedules would put them on the same flight. 

Zoë grew up watching her father head off to work in his pilot’s uniform, jetting off to far-flung destinations around the world, and it inspired her own love of aviation. 

Zoe said it “felt amazing” to finally share the experience of flying with both her parents. 

Zoë attended the KLM Flight Academy after being accepted at just 17. She went on to say, “After two years, I graduated and have been so lucky to be able to fly with my dad five times now and once with my mom.”

More than 500 million Christians face restricted access to the Bible

Persecution.org reports that The Bible Access Initiative, a collaboration of several ministries, has found that more than 500 million Christians live in nations where access to God’s Word is restricted.

Additionally, the research team discovered that more than 125 million believers live in places where they cannot access Scripture in any format.

The research team identified persecution, poverty, illiteracy, political restrictions, and lack of internet access as some of the main barriers to Bible access for multitudes of Christians.

We echo the request from one International Christian Concern staffer who requests quote, “Please continue to pray for, and support initiatives and projects that increase the supply and availability of God’s precious Word for believers around the world.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 reminds us that, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 

Euthanasia cases in Belgium doubled in last five years

In the country of Belgium, Euthanasia cases have more than doubled in the last five years! ChristianToday.com reported about these new figures.  

By law, Belgium’s Federal Commission for the Control and Evaluation of Euthanasia must publish a report every two years documenting instances of assisted dying.

Their most recent data reveals a dramatic surge in assisted deaths, climbing from 2,445 occurrences in 2020—which accounted for 1.9 percent of total national mortality—to 4,487 cases in 2025. This reflects a substantial spike from the 3,991 recorded in 2024 alone.

Since Belgium's original legal authorization of doctor-assisted death in 2002, when merely 235 individuals ended their lives this way, overall deaths from this practice have surpassed 42,000.

Proponents pushing to permit assisted suicide across Great Britain frequently insist that such provisions would remain strictly limited to individuals suffering from terminal conditions.

Yet the evidence out of Belgium demonstrates that numerous citizens opt for state-sanctioned death despite absent terminal diagnoses. Approximately 25 percent of last year’s assisted dying cases—totaling 1,117 individuals—involved patients whose natural life expectancy was not imminent.

This category has expanded remarkably, more than tripling from the 311 non-terminal instances documented back in 2020.

Job 12:10 states that, “In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.” 

Anthropic announces plans for a Public Benefit Fund

On Sunday, AI company Anthropic announced plans to set aside 5 percent of its shares for a new “Anthropic Public Benefit Fund,” subject to stockholder approval, to support public interest initiatives. Including the new fund, roughly 20 percent of Anthropic’s shares would be dedicated to public purposes, with a 5 percent stake being worth about $48 billion dollars and the commitment potentially increasing as valuation grows. While no specific groups or nonprofits have been named, The Anthropic Public Benefit Fund will support nonprofit donations, direct distributions to specific populations and worker impact efforts.  Anthropic did promise that none of the money from this fund would be used for political lobbying or contributions.

More details emerging from the shooting in Bend, Oregon

The investigation into the shooting in Bend, Oregon on Thursday October 15th continues and more details are being revealed. The shooter was John Griffin Jr III, using a pump action shotgun purchased by Griffin’s mother in August. Oregon law prohibits minors from possessing firearms. Kaylub Giamanco, a 36-year-old carpenter and father, heard the gunfire while driving home and pursued the gunman into the school and killed him. Oregon Governor Tina Kotek credited Giamanco.

KOTEK: “And to the community member, who heroically intervened to stop further loss of life, your actions carry a heavy emotional burden, and I just want you to know my thoughts are with you as well.”

Police Chief Mike Krantz said the investigation into the motive will take time. No charges have been announced at this time.  

Largest private conservation project in the U.S. hits major milestone

As autumn descends upon the Great Plains of North America, the largest private land conservation project in the country is ringing in an inspirational milestone.

The resident herd of relatively free-roaming bison now numbers 4 digits for the first time since the organization’s founding more than 20 years ago.

American Prairie is a conservation nonprofit. The group is quite simply attempting to stitch together the largest contiguously-wild stretch of North American Prairie in the country for the purpose of conservation and recreation.

Stitching together grasslands, water features, ranchland, rolling hills, and woodland, the goal is ultimately to protect, and in some cases rewild, 3.2 million acres.

Yet in the over 20 years that American Prairie has been working, they’ve expanded their reserve to such an extent that if it were declared a National Park, it would rank among the nation’s 10 largest across the lower 48 states.

Myanmar military bombs church, sets another on fire

The Myanmar military sent two junta jet fighters on bombing runs which destroyed a Presbyterian church in Mindat, Chin State at 2:30pm on October 9th, reports Christian Solidarity Worldwide. While no civilian casualties were reported, the church building sustained catastrophic structural destruction.

Then, at 3:30pm on October 12th, soldiers from Myanmar military’s 33rd and 88th Light Infantry Divisions set the Htingnan Kachin Baptist Church on fire.  It is located in Banmaw, Kachin State.

These are the latest deliberate attacks on Christian places of worship in Myanmar’s Christian regions.

The destruction of churches serves as a direct retaliatory tactic against the Chin and Kachin revolutionary armed resistance movements, punishing civilian populations belonging to these Christian-majority ethnic groups. In these regions, churches function not only as sacred places of worship, but also as vital community sanctuaries, emergency shelters for displaced civilians, schools, and humanitarian distribution hubs.

Send a polite, 4-sentence note to the Myanmar Ambassador to America, Aung Lynn, urging him to ask the military leaders to stop bombing churches.  Address it to the Myanmar Embassy, 2300 S Street NW, Washington, DC 20008.

Is Democratic Rep. Omar guilty of immigration fraud & inflating net worth?

Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota is the target of at least two federal investigations related to possible immigration fraud and inflation of her net worth by tens of millions of dollars in House disclosure forms, reports the New York Post.

D.C. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro confirmed Tuesday on Fox News’ “America Reports” that “there are several investigations going on” related to the Minnesota Democrat, adding that potential civil or criminal immigration violations as well as Omar’s claim of being worth up to $30 million were also under scrutiny.

Sources familiar with the cases disclosed that the Minnesota US Attorney’s Office was leading the probe into alleged immigration fraud, possibly involving false statements about Omar’s birth date, while Pirro’s office in D.C. was taking on the inquiry into the finances of Omar and her husband, Tim Mynett.

Concealing material facts or willfully misrepresenting information on immigration papers could lead to the congresswoman’s denaturalization. It’s unclear whether those alleged crimes occurred on paperwork originally compiled by her father or on subsequent forms such as a passport renewal.

Todd Spodek, a federal criminal defense lawyer, said, “The Constitution requires seven years of citizenship to serve in the House. Denaturalization can operate retroactively, but how that would affect an already-seated member of Congress is largely untested. A criminal conviction alone does not automatically remove a member from office.”

In 2024, Congresswoman Omar astoundingly claimed that she and her husband’s joint assets were valued between $5 million and $30 million, only to file disclosures one year later, claiming between $20,000 and $125,000.

The previously high-valued assets were largely attributable to income reported from her husband’s wine and venture capital businesses, which recorded a meager $200 to $1,000 just last year.

When Vice President J.D. Vance was asked about the Omar investigation on the airport tarmac, he made this comment.

VANCE: “We try to run our Department of Justice in a fair and honest way. We try to let the law follow the facts rather than creating facts just to prosecute people we don't like. And, because of that, I think the president and I largely try to stay out of Department of Justice investigations and other prosecutions. 

“I do know that there are some serious allegations against [Congresswoman] Ilhan Omar. We're going to look into those. And again, if there's a real case there, we're going to follow the facts. If there's not a real case there, then we won't.”

And then, appearing on Fox News on October 14th, Vance expressed his incredulity at Congresswoman Omar’s disdain for America.

VANCE: “We have very rarely had a person in Congress who seems to have such disdain and such rage at the country that gave her a better life. Now, that's not a crime, but we're going to see whether she did commit a crime. If she did, we're obviously going to follow the law.”

Execution by firing squad will not be livestreamed

On October 15th, President Donald Trump said the United States will not livestream the December 3rd execution at Fort Hood of the former Army psychologist who was convicted of fatally shooting 13 people at a military base in 2009, reports News Nation,

On Truth Social, President Trump wrote that former U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan “will die, as scheduled, by firing squad, but this event will not be streamed. That said, the execution may be viewed in person by the immediate families of the victims, if they so choose.”

In 2009, Hasan opened fire at the Fort Hood base in Texas. He was found guilty in 2013 of 45 counts of premeditated murder and attempted premeditated murder, dismissed from the Army, and given the death penalty.

Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in His own image.”

Earlier this month, War Secretary Pete Hegseth and the Pentagon announced that Hasan’s execution would be livestreamed for public viewing. However, the decision was met with pushback from politicians on both sides of the aisle, faith leaders, legal experts and human rights groups.

Anniversary of martyrdom of two English reformers

And finally, today is the anniversary of the martyrdom of two English Reformers.

Their names were Hugh Latimer and Nicholas Ridley. Both were bishops in the Church of England. Ridley was born in 1502, becoming a great scholar and renouncing Roman Catholic doctrine. Latimer was born earlier in 1485. He became a great Reformation preacher, also rejecting Catholic traditions. His preaching brought Protestant teachings effectively to the middle and lower classes.

However, a Catholic queen came to power in England in 1553. She was known as “Bloody Mary” for her deadly persecution of Protestants. After her ascension to power, Latimer and Ridley were tried for their beliefs and tragically burned at the stake on October 16, 1555 – 471 years ago.

As they faced death together, Latimer told his friend, “Be of good comfort, Master Ridley, and play the man; we shall this day light such a candle, by God’s grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out.”

In Romans 8:36-37, the Apostle Paul wrote, “As it is written: ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.’ Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

24 Christians arrested in Nepal

Authorities in Nepal raided a Christian college and arrested 24 Christians last week.

The Christians are from South Korea. They were participating in a religious program at Nepal New Covenant College. It is the latest incident of Christian persecution in the Hindu-majority country. Nepal has a small but fast-growing population of Christians. 

Dipesh Shrestha with the National Christian Federation Nepal told UCA News, “The state is treating every Christian, both local and foreign, as a criminal for sharing, meeting, or talking about their faith.”

In Matthew 10:22, Jesus said, “You will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”

Protestant Churches growing in Chile

Protestant churches are growing in the South American country of Chile.

Government records show 82 religious organizations registered with the state from June to August of this year. That means almost one Protestant church is established every day in the historically Roman Catholic country. 

Protestants in Chile are also gaining attention in public life. Evangelical Focus noted, “Election campaigns . . . seek dialogue with pastors and evangelical churches, whose . . . commitment to causes such as the defense of life, the family and religious freedom are recognized.”

New UK Evangelicals affirm Resurrection, doubt Biblical inerrancy

Ligonier Ministries released a report on the state of theology in the United Kingdom.

Almost a third of Evangelicals in the U.K. are newcomers to church. The report said, “From a UK perspective, this is noteworthy because it aligns with anecdotal reports from numerous pastors and churches of increased attendance among younger adults, particularly younger men.”

These new Evangelicals affirm core Christian doctrines like the Trinity and the bodily resurrection of Jesus. However, many new Evangelicals also affirmed that God accepts the worship of all religions and that the Bible is not literally true. 

Hebrews 13:8-9 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace.”

Greenland will provide America with new energy source

The United States is looking to Greenland for more energy resources.

President Donald Trump said massive oil, gas, and mineral exploration is getting ready to begin in the region. This comes after the United States and Denmark agreed to an increased American military presence in Greenland last month.

Greenland’s government acknowledged exploration efforts by U.S. companies but pushed back on the idea that they were “massive.”

Trump revealed more debanking of conservatives

The Trump administration called out major banks for religious discrimination in a new report.

The report reviewed nearly 100,000 complaints from 2020 to 2025. They involve financial institutions like JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, and Wells Fargo. These banks denied services to Christian, pro-life, and conservative organizations after the Biden administration labeled them as “hate groups.” 

Mark Paoletta is the Acting Director of the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He said, “It is appalling that these banks targeted American consumers for their political, social, or religious beliefs that did not align with the Biden Administration or its leftist allies.”

Cost of U.S. goods and services increases

The cost of goods and services in the U.S. continued to increase last month.

A report from the Labor Department found that the Consumer Price Index increased 3.7 percent compared to September 2025.

Gasoline accounted for over half of the rise in prices. 

Florida hurricane left hundreds of thousands without power

And finally, Hurricane Isaias made landfall in the Florida Panhandle as a Category 2 storm last Friday. 

The hurricane brought flooding, destructive winds, and tornadoes to parts of the Southeast. At least six storm-related deaths were reported as of yesterday. Hundreds of thousands of people are without power.

Cuban Communists arrest pastor over prayer event

Communist officials in Cuba arrested a Protestant pastor last month for planning a prayer event. 

Pastor Maikel Pupo Velázquez leads the unregistered Sacred Blessing Word of Fire Church. He was detained last year for delivering medicine to the families of political prisoners. He is now in prison himself for trying to organize a public prayer event, reports The Christian Post.

Anna Lee Stangl with Christian Solidarity Worldwide said, “We demand the immediate release of Maikel Pupo Velázquez. … There is no rational justification for the decision … to detain him for simply encouraging others of his faith to pray for Cuba.”

Pope Leo has lung cancer

Pope Leo XIV has been diagnosed with lung cancer following a surgical procedure at Rome’s Gemelli University Hospital, reports One America News.

During the operation, surgeons successfully removed the lower lobe of the 71-year-old pontiff’s right lung. However, postoperative laboratory evaluations also confirmed the presence of lung adenocarcinoma, a malignant diagnosis that preoperative tests had previously suspected.

160 million people installed the YouVersion Bible app in 2026

The YouVersion Bible app  continues to see growth around the world.

YouVersion added over 160 million new installs across its family of apps in 2026. And daily usage reached a record 18.5 million people. 

Zimbabwe saw the most growth in daily Bible usage this year followed by Pakistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Nigeria, and Kenya. 

Terms like “anxiety” and “hope” were among the most searched in the app. And the most-searched term was “Psalm 91.”

Verse two of that chapter says, “I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.’”

Trump lifts sanctions on Russian diesel exports

The United States is lifting sanctions on Russian diesel exports. 

The U.S. had been sanctioning energy exports from the country since the Russo-Ukrainian War began in 2022. Now, Russia has agreed to supply millions of tons of diesel fuel to the American and global marketplace in the coming months. 

President Donald Trump hopes this will bring prices down. Listen to his comments to reporters.

TRUMP: “I think you heard about the oil deal with Russia. That is a big deal. That is massive amounts of oil coming into our country, and I want to thank [Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin, to be honest with you. We have massive amounts of oil coming into our country, and it's diesel, which is what we want.”

Trump’s FDA will address Abortion Kill Pill next March

The Trump administration is sadly pushing off its review of abortion drugs.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration allowed abortion pills to be distributed through the mail under the Biden administration, reports LifeNews.com. Louisiana sued the FDA over still allowing this. Last week, the FDA filed an update in the case, saying it will not complete its abortion pill safety study until March 2027.

Erin Hawley with Alliance Defending Freedom said, “That will be too late for nearly 90,000 unborn babies who will die between now and then by illegally obtained abortion drugs in states like Louisiana that have taken great care to protect babies and mothers from the harms of abortion.” 

Fewer Americans think college is important

Fewer Americans now put a big priority on college education.

A new survey from Gallup found that 31 percent of U.S. adults think college is very important. That’s down from 70 percent in 2013. Meanwhile, the percentage of Americans who think college is fairly important or not too important has been steadily growing.  

At the same time, college costs have skyrocketed. The average cost of college tuition and fees rose over 80 percent in the last two decades. 

Protestant pastors preach longer sermons

And finally, Protestant pastors are preaching longer sermons, and most churchgoers support it.

A Lifeway Research study found that 80 percent of pastors say their sermons are less than 40 minutes. But a growing share are preaching over 40 minutes and even over 60 minutes.

Most churchgoers are fine with the current length of their pastors’ sermons. But a growing share now prefer longer sermons. 

Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research, said, “While much of the individual video content Americans consume today takes less than a minute to watch, the majority of churchgoers prefer sermons of at least a half hour.”

In John 8:31-32, Jesus said, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Nigerian Muslims killed 12 Christians

Truth Nigeria reports that Fulani Muslim jihadists killed 12 Christians, including a 4-year-old child, in two separate attacks in Benue State, Nigeria late last week.

The assailants reportedly moved from house to house, shouting Allahu Akbar, which means the Muslim god is greater, while attacking residents with machetes. Meanwhile, across Nigeria’s Adamawa State, Boko Haram Muslim jihadists were conducting genocide, burning villages, and destroying churches.

One woman, who witnessed the carnage, told Truth Nigeria: “Neither women nor children are spared. They kill the men and kidnap the women for sex slavery. Our only offense is that we are Christians. They came in the night and killed dozens of Christians on October 1st and now even on following days.” Clearly, the need for your prayers right now for the saints in Nigeria is urgent. In the words of Habakkuk 1:2, “O LORD, how long shall I cry for help, and You will not hear? Or cry to You ‘Violence!’ and You will not save?” Canada has lost 68,000 jobs

The Canadian economy continues to slump, as the country marked 68,000 lost jobs in the month of September. This is the second straight month in which the country has lost jobs, despite economist predictions of gains in both August and September.

The unemployment rate in Canada now sits at 6.5 percent, and labor force participation is at its lowest rate in nearly 30 years.

Following the news, conservative leader Pierre Poilievre stated, “We will unblock resources, scrap taxes on fuel and reinvestments here at home, remove red tape, and make Canada the best place in the world to hire and boost pay.”

Jair Bolsonaro leads socialist in Brazil’s run-off election

The more “right” candidate for Brazil’s presidency is leading in the polls by six points, as the nation heads into a run-off election scheduled for October 25th. 

The AtlasIntel/Bloomberg Poll puts Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, ahead of the incumbent socialist candidate, Lula da Silva.

Mortgage rates hit 7.5 percent

Here in the United States, 30-year mortgage rates hit 7.5 percent over the weekend.

Rates were this high about 27 years ago.

Fewer Americans believe in Virgin Birth, Hell or God

Only 49 percent of Americans believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, according to a recent report from the American Bible Society’s “State of the Bible.”  That’s down from 66 percent in 2017.

Other big take-aways from the report:

• only 44 percent of Gen Zers believe in Hell, down from 57 percent for the Gen Xers.
• 74 percent of women believe in God, compared to 62 percent of men.

In 1980, the Gallup poll reported that 90 percent of Americans believed in God. 

Psalm 36:1-2 explains it this way. “Concerning the transgression of the wicked: there is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flatters himself in his own eyes.”

3 GOP states to Supreme Court: Stop abortion “shield” laws

The civil war on the Abortion Kill Pill is heating up between the states.

Alabama, Arkansas, and Louisiana are heading to the U.S. Supreme Court  to challenge the abortion “shield laws” enacted by certain Democratic-controlled states, reports ABC News. These shield laws protect abortion providers in three Democratic states that ship the Abortion Kill Pill over state lines.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is deliberating over whether to impose more regulation on mifepristone and the kill-pill-by-mail program because of safety issues. That decision should be out in March of next year. America delays termination of Temporary Protected Status The United States government is holding off on its plan to terminate Temporary Protected Status for El Salvadoran immigrants. 

The New American put the decision in contrast with Trump’s decisions on immigration from other countries. The magazine reported, “So far in Trump’s second term, his administration has terminated or is attempting to terminate Temporary Protected Status designations for 13 countries — Afghanistan, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen — affecting more than one million migrants.”

Temporary Protected Status remains in effect for four countries, namely El Salvador, Lebanon, Sudan, and Ukraine. 

The chaos in government schools

U.S. public schools are still failing.

Recent results for 15-year-old students issued by the Programme for International Student Assessment indicate a 24-point drop in math skills since 2009, and a 14-point drop in reading skills since 2018. But the big issue now is concerning student behavior.

The EdWeek Research Center surveyed 5,800 teachers and found that 35 percent of teachers report a lot worse student behavior this year over last year. Plus, 64 percent of teachers are saying student behavior had worsened over all. This has made the job for teachers “almost impossible,” according to the report. 

One sentence summarized the problem this way: “Kicking. Yelling. Throwing school supplies across the room. Physical violence.”

Chaos in the classroom. That is reportedly an everyday occurrence for American government schools.

Former Iowa City Councilman prays: “Hail Satan!”

And finally, this from Ottumwa, Iowa, with a population of 25,000, where a former city council member, Matt Dalbey, led off the council meeting on October 6th with a Satanic prayer. 

DALBEY: “Let us pray, dear Dark Father. Let us stand now unbowed and unfettered by arcane doctrines born of fearful minds in darkened times. Let us embrace the Luciferian impulse to eat of the tree of knowledge, and dissipate our blissful and comforting delusions of old.

“Let us demand that individuals be judged for their concrete actions, not their fealty to arbitrary social norms and illusory categorizations. Let us reason our solutions with agnosticism in all things, holding fast only to that which is demonstrably true.

“Let us stand firm against any and all arbitrary authority that threatens the personal sovereignty of one or all. That which will not bend must break, and that which can be destroyed by truth should never be spared its demise. It is done. Hail Satan!”

This prayer to Satan comes after the Ottumwa, Iowa City Council issued a new “diversity” policy. It said, “This policy is intended to acknowledge and express the City Council's respect for the diversity of both organized and unorganized religious denominations, as well as other faiths, belief systems, or the lack thereof.”

Thankfully, after the Pledge of Allegiance, Pastor Rick Bick of New Life Center objected, reports the Washington Stand. Outraged by the prayer to Satan, Pastor Bick eschewed proper decorum, walked up to the same podium where the Satanic prayer had just occurred, and demanded that the city council reverse that curse. Sadly, Councilwoman Cara Galloway interrupted him.

PASTOR BICK: “Let's just reverse that curse that was just put on our city. That ending with ‘Hail, Satan’ and ‘Hail, Dark God.’ That's not welcome here.”

COUNCILWOMAN CARA GALLOWAY: “Mayor.”

MAYOR BENJAMIN FOOTE: “Yeah.”

COUNCILWOMAN GALLOWAY: “This should be done at the end.”

PASTOR BICK: “It needs to be done now. Okay?  That was a curse put on our city when you said, 'Hail Satan' and 'O Dark God.’  Most of you know that, and we need to just stop and reverse it.”

According to the Christian Post, Ottumwa Iowa Mayor Benjamin Foote, a Bible-believing Christian, said he was “shocked” by the invocation to Satan. In response to Pastor Bick’s request, Mayor Foote said this.

MAYOR FOOTE: “I'm going to invite us into a 30-second time of prayer. Or time of silence. A time of silence.”

COUNCILWOMAN GALLOWAY: “No, I, we are at the consent agenda. I'm sorry, but it's time to move forward.”

MAYOR FOOTE: “So, as mayor of the city of Ottumwa, as mayor of the city of Ottumwa, and the one running the meeting, I'm going to ask right now that we do a moment of silence to reflect on whatever it is we need to reflect on at this time, and then we will move to the consent agenda. So, with that, we'll go into a moment of silence.”

In a subsequent interview with The Christian Post, Mayor Foote said, “I am a born-again Christian, a prayer warrior, and place all my faith in Jesus Christ. Personally, I of course do not believe or condone worship to Satan or any other god, but to the one true God Almighty. … My prayer is that this will be used by God to awaken the Church in Ottumwa and we will fight against the evil that is constantly trying to destroy us.”

Indeed, Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Councilman Bill Hoffman Jr. confirmed that the invocation was approved under city policy but said the mayor and council members “are not aware of the content beforehand.” The entire policy is now under review.

Imprisoned Chinese Pastor Wang Yi has advanced liver cancer

The Chinese Communists imprisoned Early Rain Covenant Church Pastor Wang Yi in southwestern China. Today, he may be suffering from advanced liver cancer, reports ChinaAid.

Yi has been imprisoned since December 2018. He was sentenced in December 2019 to nine years in prison on trumped up Communist charges of “inciting subversion of state power” and “illegal business operations.” He is currently held at the Jintang Prison.

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom currently lists Wang as a religious prisoner of conscience and has recorded reports of medical neglect in his case.

Since October 2021, when his wife was allowed her first meeting with Yi in three years of imprisonment, meaningful family access since then has remained severely restricted.

ChinaAid Founder and President Rev. Bob Fu called for immediate access to Wang. He said, “The world is watching. Pastor Wang Yi must not be allowed to die behind prison walls in secrecy. His family deserves to see him, to know his true medical condition, and to be involved in decisions concerning his treatment.”

Leviticus 19:32, says, “You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God."

Wang is approaching the final portion of his nine-year sentence, which is expected to conclude in 2027.

Iran-backed Houthis fire missile at Saudi Arabian airport

The international airport in Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, was attacked on Saturday by a missile which struck terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights, wounding many people, reports the Associated Press. 

Earlier in the week, in this new front in the Iran war, the Houthis, a terrorist group backed by Iran, claimed attacks on the airport that killed three Saudis, including a pilot.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he was evaluating whether the United States should join Saudi Arabia with strikes against the Tehran-backed Houthi rebels in neighboring Yemen.

Four killed by Hurricane Isaias in Florida

Four people were killed on October 9th after deadly Hurricane Isaias hit the southeast “like a freight train” as the Category 2 storm’s 105 mile-per-hour winds blew through Destin, Florida, at around 9:30 p.m. ET. Localized gusts reached 116 miles per hour.

Three people died from downed trees, while another was killed by fumes from a generator. At least five others have been hospitalized.

8 killed in Pennsylvania home by gunman

On the same day, man-made tragedy struck Erie, Pennsylvania.

On October 9th, eight people were shot dead including two young children and a woman who was eight months pregnant, reports Fox News.

Plus, the suspected shooter, a 45-year-old man who was related to the victims, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The motive of the gunman is as yet unknown.

Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah said, “It was horrific. It was the worst scene I have ever experienced," reports ABC News.

And Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro said, “My heart breaks for this family. Lori and I are praying for their loved ones and the entire Erie community.”

Justice Alito upset with Obergefell which legalized “gay” marriage

A new collection of remarks by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito highlights the conservative jurist’s conviction that the forced redefinition of marriage, to include homosexual couples, marked “perhaps the decisive point in our nation’s turn against religious liberty,” reports LifeSiteNews.com.

In his new book entitled So Ordered: An Originalist’s View of the Constitution, the Court, and Our Country, ABC News noted that he addressed the Obergefell v. Hodges ruling. This was the 2015 case in which the nation’s highest court forced all 50 states to recognize faux homosexual marriages. Alito was among the dissenters, along with Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Clarence Thomas.

In a 2018 speech, the Catholic justice, appointed by former President George W. Bush, said, “My worry [is] that equating the expression of certain views with bigotry — or, if you like, with dignitary harm — would drive believers out of public life.”

Then, in a 2022 speech, Alito argued his fears have since been vindicated.

Citing various attempts to force private businesses to serve homosexual so-called “weddings” or where Christian groups were denied religious exemptions to health and employment mandates pertaining to homosexuality, he said, “Quite suddenly, religious liberty has become controversial. What we see in these and other cases is a refusal to live in peace with those who violate the new moral code.”

In 2021, Alito noted that Americans opposed to homosexual faux marriage found themselves “so beaten down that they were ‘a people who shunned the light of day.’ They were ‘found in corners, and alleys, and cellars, and the housetops, or in the recesses of the country.’”

Sadly, Justice Alito said he thinks overturning Obergefell is unlikely.

ABC stressed that the religious parties ultimately prevailed in “nearly all” of the cases Alito cites, but that has not slowed the persistence of such challenges. For example, Colorado baker Jack Phillips, a Christian, won a 2018 Supreme Court case over his right to refuse to create homosexual “wedding” cakes, yet was dragged back to court years later over demands to create a “transgender” cake.

Even if the Supreme Court reversed Obergefell, recognition of homosexual faux marriage would still be mandatory nationwide, thanks to former President Joe Biden signing the so-called “Respect for Marriage Act,” which codified Obergefell in 2023.

Thirty-two states still have duly enacted bans on homosexual faux marriage. Unfortunately, those bans have been blocked from enforcement since Obergefell.

Kentucky abortions dropped from 4,441 to just 5 annually

And finally, ready for some good news?

Kentucky has seriously protected unborn babies from abortion.

Back in 2022, Kentucky abortionists killed 4,441 babies in the womb. By contrast, in 2025, just five brick-and-mortar abortions were reported in Kentucky by the state’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services, reports LifeNews.com.

After Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 24, 2022, the state prohibited abortion from conception on the very same day. The law was then blocked on June 30, but went back into effect later that summer on August 1 and has remained in effect since.

The state’s life-at-conception law only allows abortion in cases where a continued pregnancy would threaten the life and/or physical health of the mother. All 5 brick-and-mortar abortions reported by the state were performed because of these exceptions.

Due to Kentucky’s law prohibiting elective abortions, no abortions were performed at Planned Parenthood abortion mills in Kentucky or independent abortion mills. All five abortions were performed at hospitals. 

In Psalm 139:13-14, David told God, "For You formed my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well."

South Korea’s troubled election and Christian persecution

Something stinks in South Korea.

After the suspicious election of Lee Myung as South Korea’s new president on June 3, 2025 in which there was a drastic shortage of paper ballots, which some have claimed mounts to election fraud, there has been ample evidence of growing hostility to Christianity.

For example, South Korean authorities detained six Americans on June 27, 2025 after they attempted to send 1,600 plastic bottles containing miniature Bibles into North Korea by sea, reported International Christian Concern. The Americans were investigated because they allegedly violated the law on disaster management when they reportedly threw the bottles, which also included USB sticks, money, and rice, into the sea, hoping North Koreans would eventually find them washed up on their shore.

Then, South Korean Pastor Son Hyun-bo of Segero Church in Busan was arrested on September 8, 2025 for interviewing a Christian School Superintendent candidate, Jeong Seung-yoon, during a church service and uploading a video of the conversation to social media.  The Christian was running against a South Korean government candidate who supported sexual perversion in the school curriculum.  For that, Pastor Hyun-bo was jailed for 145 days, without conviction, as he underscored the need for Christians to vote their Biblical convictions.

In a CBN report, the South Korean pastor expressed alarm at what the government is doing.

HYUN-BO: “When the left-wing government came into power, freedom of religion is being suppressed. There is an amendment to the civil code that has been proposed that states: ‘If there are religious speech or beliefs related to politics, the government will be granted the power to disband or dissolve the church and revoke the permit of the church.’

“Investigations and inspections can be conducted without warrant, and assets and properties of the church can be transferred to the government.”

2 Timothy 3:12 says, “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”

Plus, since June 2026, Morse Tan, the former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large during President Trump’s first term, is being detained in South Korea by Lee Myung’s administration, unable to return home to the States.  Tan is scheduled to face trial in South Korea on October 16th.

He is being detained because, while on American soil, he claimed that there was election fraud in the June 3, 2025 South Korean presidential election.  Parenthetically, Tan has a young family and is dean of the Liberty University Law School in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Sam Brownback, who served as Ambassador-at-Large for Religious Freedom, has urged President Donald Trump to intervene on behalf of Morse Tan, reports Metro Voice News.

Write a polite, 4-sentence note to the South Korean Ambassador to America, Kang Kyung-wha, asking that she urge President Lee Myung to release Morse Tan and stop persecuting South Korean Christians. Send it to the South Korean Embassy, 2450 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20008.

Increased GOP voter registration might save the midterm election

The political pundits seem to believe that the Republicans are doomed going into the November 3rd election and likely to lose both the House and the Senate.

And it’s easy to see why: Between the deeply polarizing Iran War, an economy that’s still struggling to find its footing, and whatever toxic fallout remains from the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, conservatives are about as split as they’ve ever been over the last decade. Only it may not be the slam dunk that Democrats are hoping for, reports the Western Journal.

Much of the polling, such as that from RealClear Polling, still demonstrably favors the blue party in the midterm election. If you’re a GOP voter, there is still ample reason to get out and vote.

But according to CNN’s data guru, Harry Enten, the GOP can hang their hats on at least one thing: voter registration.

ENTEN: “You can see in the key swing states that we normally look at in presidential elections that the Republicans are gaining versus where they were eight years ago during Trump's first midterm election.

“Take a look here: GOP gains in party registration margin versus Election Day 2018. In Arizona, the Republican margin versus a Democrat: Republicans are up four points. How about Nevada? Republicans up five points. How about North Carolina? Republicans up eight points. How about the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? Republicans up seven points.

“So, when you take a look at how people are registering, this is not polling data, compared to where we were eight years ago, Republicans are doing considerably better in what are the swing states at least normally in presidential elections.”

Compare that to their Democratic counterparts, who have seen zero gains in those four states since 2024.

Christian TV preacher Jim Bakker died at 86

And finally,

JIM BAKKER: “Hello. Welcome to Heritage USA. It's nice to have you here.”

That was the introduction to The PTL Club back in 1986, hosted by Jim Bakker and his wife Tammy Faye. After debuting in 1974, it became the highest rated religious show in the country.

On October 5th, Jim Bakker died at the age of 86.

While hosting the Christian television show and founding Heritage USA, a Christian-themed waterpark in Fort Mill, South Carolina, he fell from grace.

In March 1987, Bakker resigned from the PTL ministry over a cover-up of $279,000 of hush money to church secretary Jessica Hahn for an alleged rape.

Plus, Bakker and his PTL associates sold $1,000 "lifetime memberships", entitling buyers to an annual three-night stay at a luxury hotel at Heritage USA, reported the New York Times. According to the prosecution at Bakker's fraud trial, tens of thousands of memberships were sold but only one 500-room hotel was ever finished, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. Bakker sold "exclusive partnerships" which exceeded capacity, raising more than twice the money needed to build the hotel. Much of the money paid Heritage USA's operating expenses, and Bakker allegedly kept $3.4 million.

1 Timothy 3:1-3 says, “Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.”

Convicted of fraud and conspiracy in 1989, he served nearly five years in prison before being paroled in 1994.

According to the Christian Post, Rev. Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, posted a statement on X, saying he was “saddened” by Bakker's death.

Graham wrote, “Jim was responsible for giving Samaritan’s Purse our first major television exposure, and I will be forever grateful for his support and help. He showcased many ministries on his program and introduced numerous preachers of the Gospel to a much broader audience.”

Harold Hunter, chairman of the board of regents at Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary in Evansville, Indiana, took to Facebook to respond to Bakker's death.

Hunter wrote, “To me, the major reason for the fall of Jim Bakker is prevalent in the fall of many ministries and churches. His Board of Directors was packed with celebrity preachers, evangelists, etc., who were very experienced in their various callings but woefully lacking in good business organizational skills and solid financial acumen.”

And Pastor Jeremiah Johnson of The Altar Church wrote on Facebook, “As I’ve read headlines describing [Jim Bakker] primarily by his disgrace, my heart has been grieved. Accountability matters. Sin has consequences. Repentance does not rewrite history. But neither should failure erase redemption.”

Johnson added, “After prison, Jim rebuilt his life and eventually returned to Christian television and ministry. I knew him in those later years. I encountered a man who had been through the fire, carried the scars of his story, and was still preaching Jesus.”

3-year anniversary of Hamas’ attack on Israel

Yesterday marked three years since Hamas Muslim terrorists attacked Israel.

Hamas launched the attack from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel on October 7, 2023. The Islamic militants killed about 1,200 people and took over 250 hostages. Over 80 of the hostages did not survive. The last living hostages were returned last October after 843 days of captivity. 

Since the attack, Israel has carried out bombardments and ground operations in Gaza. At least 74,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed in the conflict. 

Israeli air strike killed 2 Palestinian Christians

An Israeli air strike struck an apartment building in Gaza City on Saturday, killing two Palestinian Christian women.

The women had served at a shelter affiliated with Holy Family Catholic Church. It’s the only Catholic parish in Gaza. 

The leader of the parish stated, “We have had 62 deaths: 62 Catholic and Orthodox Christians who have died in this war. Of those 62 people, 25 have died violent deaths from bombardments or army snipers, and the majority died where they had taken refuge here, at Holy Family Church.”

American churches fight for free speech in pulpit

Here in the United States, churches and Christian organizations are fighting for free speech in the pulpit.

The National Religious Broadcasters, Intercessors for America, and two Texas churches are challenging the Johnson Amendment. While he was a U.S. Democratic senator from Texas, Lyndon B. Johnson introduced the provision in 1954 before he became president. The law prohibits 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, including houses of worship, from endorsing or opposing political candidates. 

Troy Miller with the National Religious Broadcasters spoke to CBN News about the case.

MILLER: “This was the original intent of separation of church and state -- that the government was not going to interfere with religious conscience, with the will of pastors and church leadership. And so we think this law, this amendment that [Senator Lyndon] Johnson put in place, quite honestly, to silence churches and other 501(c)3 opposition that he had during his Senate campaign, we think it needs to go.”

Psalm 119:46 says, “I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.”

U.S. trade deficit surged to $105 billion

The U.S. trade deficit surged in August to $105.6 billion.

That’s up from $79.8 billion in November 2024 before President Donald Trump began his second term.

Christopher Rupkey, chief economist at FWDBONDS, told Reuters, “Trade tariffs have done nothing to reduce America's reliance on the import of foreign-produced goods. The cost of American labor is simply too high to produce goods here cheap enough for consumers to even think about purchasing.”

100th city to ban abortion

Snyder, Texas recently became the 100th city in the U.S. to ban abortion.

Officials unanimously adopted a Sanctuary City for the Unborn  ordinance on Monday.

Mayor Pro-Tem Sarah Jamison said, “I was proud to cast my vote in support of this ordinance and of Snyder becoming the 100th city in the nation to take this stand. As council members, we have a responsibility to act within the authority given to our city and to consider lawful safeguards that protect the most vulnerable among us.”

Young Evangelicals more conservative than religious peers

Young Evangelicals are more religious and conservative than young people in other religious traditions.

This is based on analysis of Pew Research data recently published by Professor Ryan Burge with Washington University.

The analysis found that 49 percent of Gen Z Evangelicals attend church weekly. That number fell to 22 percent among Mainline Protestant youths. And it was only 20 percent among Catholic young people.

Similarly, young Evangelicals were more conservative. Forty-six percent identified as politically conservative compared to 28 percent of Mainline youth, and 17 percent of Catholic youth. 

Prison Fellowship celebrates 50 years of ministry

And finally, this year marks 50 years of ministry by Prison Fellowship.

Charles “Chuck” Colson founded the organization in 1976 to serve people affected by incarceration.

Colson himself had been incarcerated for Watergate-related charges during President Richard Nixon’s administration. Colson experienced a mid-life conversion to Christianity which led to his work in prison ministry, captured in his page-turning books Born Again and Life Sentence.

The U.S. Senate passed a resolution last month, honoring the impact of Prison Fellowship. 

Heather Rice-Minus, the President of Prison Fellowship, said, “What began with Chuck Colson’s transformation became a movement of individuals who believe no one is beyond God’s reach.”

In Luke 15:10, Jesus said, “There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Murders of Nigerians Christians leads to curfew

Officials in Nigeria imposed a curfew after more Christians were killed last month.

Pastor Samuel Nandi was killed on his way to church on Sunday, September 20. This occurred in the country’s central Plateau State. In addition, Gunfire and attacks were reported across the region during the week leading up to the pastor’s death. International Christian Concern documents at least 27 Christians were killed in the attacks. 

The government responded by imposing a dusk-to-dawn curfew in parts of the state until security agencies could bring stability. Nigeria is ranked 7th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most dangerous countries to be a Christian. 

Christian radio station reaches believers in N Korea, China, Russia

Far East Broadcasting Company-Korea is celebrating 70 years of Christian radio ministry, reports Christian Daily Korea.

The network is based in South Korea. It reaches underground believers across North Korea, China, Russia, and Mongolia. For example, North Korean Christians secretly listen to sermons and hymns on radios with “blankets pulled over their heads.” 

Far East Broadcasting Company-Korea first aired on December 23, 1956 from Incheon, South Korea. Now, it operates 15 radio stations and 14 relay stations across the country.  

G7 countries tap oil reserves to lower gas prices

The United States and its allies are tapping into their oil and fuel reserves to combat soaring gas prices.

Member countries in the Group of Seven made the announcement on Friday. Those nations include Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. 

G7 countries agreed to release 100 million barrels of diesel and crude oil reserves over the next four months. Oil prices started to fall after the decision. 

War Secretary Hegseth announced Office of Religious Affairs

Here in the United States, War Secretary Pete Hegseth gave his “State of the Force” address last Wednesday. 

Hegseth announced the creation of the Office of Religious Affairs. The office will support the spiritual health of military personnel.

HEGSETH: “Our national motto is, after all, ‘In God We Trust.’ Today we reaffirm that trust. We're placing spiritual health at the same level as physical health. Our department is, you might say, putting on the full armor of God, because while we wage physical war, we all know the real battle is spiritual. God is good, evil is not, and America's military must understand the difference.”

Hegseth quoted Psalm 33:12 in the address. That verse says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”

Treasury Dept. saved $175 million by cutting off the dead

Fox News reports the U.S. Treasury Department saved millions of taxpayer dollars during the fiscal year 2026.

The department blocked $175 million in federal payments that would have gone to deceased recipients. This is part of the Trump administration’s effort to screen for improper payments. 

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated, “In the past year alone, Treasury built and deployed new safeguards that verified more than $3.7 trillion in federal payments and increased Do Not Pay access from 4 percent of programs to 99 percent, ensuring agencies have access to the data they need.”

Pro-life pregnancy center moves into former Planned Parenthood

And finally, a pro-life pregnancy center in Gainesville, Florida is celebrating its expansion into a former Planned Parenthood building. 

SIRA, the faith-based pregnancy center, operated next to the abortion facility. The Planned Parenthood location closed in June. And SIRA purchased the property last month, reports Main Street Daily News. 

Executive Director Kathy Gratto said, “God always has a plan. We have hopes and desires and missions and goals. We pray, and we wait, and in the waiting, our faith grows, and God continues to reveal Himself. And as you can see, He’s still the God of miracles.”

Psalm 37:34 says, “Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.”

Bible severely restricted in 39 countries

The Bible is restricted in countries affecting 500 million Christians today, because of government controls, extremist violence, and family and community pressure.

Printing and distribution of the Bible is prohibited or severely restricted in 39 countries.

According to the Bible Access Initiative, importing Bibles faces this level of restriction in 38 countries, storing it in 37 countries, and personal ownership of the Bible in 34 countries.

In particular, Islamic countries, communist countries, as well as India and Myanmar, severely restrict access to Bibles.

William Tyndale martyred for translating Bible into English

Four hundred and ninety years ago, on October 6th 1536, English officials murdered English reformer William Tyndale. Tyndale translated and published the first mass-produced copy of the New Testament in the English language.

When a cleric commented that the common person should not have access to the Bible, Tyndale responded: “If God spare my life, ere many years pass, I will cause a boy that driveth the plow shall know more of the Scripture than thou dost.” 

Before Tyndale’s execution, his last words were: “Lord, open the King of England’s eyes.”

He was then strangled and burned at the stake.

There are an estimated one billion English Bibles in the world today — as well as another 7 billion Bibles printed in at least 1,860 languages. Remarkably, some portion of the Bible is now available in 4,190 languages. 

Hebrews 4:12 reminds us that, “the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Bolsonaro leads after first Brazil election Brazil’s national election over the weekend signaled a definite move to the right for that country.

The previous president’s son, Flávio Bolsonaro, received 47 percent to Lula de Silva's 45 percent,  Also, conservative parties have cumulatively captured 60 percent of the national senate seats. That’s the best performance for the right wing in forty years. 

Because neither candidate received over 50% of the vote, a run-off election will be scheduled for October.

Trump’s shuttering of USAID might have helped Bolsonaro perform well

President Donald Trump’s shuttering of the U.S. Agency for International Development, cutting off its funding, may have had a contributing influence on South American elections.

For example, USAID funded leftist programs in Brazil to the tune of $138 million over a 4-year period, reports Time Magazine. That’s about three times what Brazilian presidential candidates spend on their campaigns every four years.

In recent years, more South American countries are moving to the right.

• Ecuador re-elected Daniel Noboa in 2025.
• Bolivia and Chile moved right in 2025.
• Colombia and Peru elected right-of-center presidents in 2026.
• And Flávio Bolsonaro, who is heavily supported by the evangelical population in Brazil, has promised to issue a declaration that Brazil “belongs to Jesus Christ.”

Spain’s election animated by housing costs Spain is heading for another national election after hundreds of thousands of citizens protested in fifty Spanish cities over the weekend. Their concern is housing costs, reports The Guardian.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has called for the election of a new government by the end of November, reports the Associated Press.

America needs more nurses and home health care aides The US Bureau of Labor Statistics is projecting a market increase of 847,000 home health and personal care aides by 2035. In addition, the bureau noted a need for 200,000 registered nurses, and 138,000 nurse practitioners.  The medical field will enjoy the greatest increase in job growth, by a significant percentage. But the biggest news in employment is this from WolfsStreet.com.  U.S. governments at all levels have shed 17,000 jobs in August -- mostly at local governments. And private-sector employers added 46,000 jobs.

Former Speaker of the House died in disgrace

Former Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives Dennis Hastert is dead at 84.

Hastert claimed a Christian conversion experience as a teenager in his autobiography and regarded Christian faith as part of the formation of his character. He attended the evangelical Wheaton College and sat on the board of Wheaton’s Center for Economics, Government, and Public Policy.

Hastert served 15 months in prison before he died, for financial irregularities relating to hush money payments, reported CNN.

Plus, he admitted in court that he had previously abused an unspecified number of boys. Galatians 6:7-8 speaks truth to these things. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

Trump doubles down on $5,000 checks if GOP wins midterms

President Donald Trump is defending his decision to promise all Americans $5,000 checks if the Republican Party wins the midterm elections on November 3rd.

In a video posted on Truth Social, Trump seemingly backed up his claim of a massive payout to voters.

TRUMP: “Our country is doing so well under Republican leadership that only I can make you this promise. If Republicans win the House of Representatives and the Senate, I'm going to give all adult citizens in the United States of America $5,000.

“And Republicans can do it, and Democrats can't, because we're taking in massive amounts of money through tariffs and record-setting economic success. But Democrat policies won't allow this to happen.

“In fact, the opposite is going to take place. They're going to raise your taxes, and they're going to destroy our country and certainly destroy our economy. It'll be a 1929 disaster if they get in.”

Serious legal questions remain with the President’s promise.

Florida officials sue Pfizer over COVID shots

The state of Florida is suing vaccine manufacturing giant Pfizer, naming Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla in the suit. 

Florida Republican Attorney General James Uthmeier wrote on X, “Weeks ago we learned [that Dr. Anthony] Fauci and the biomedical state knew the COVID jabs were dangerous, but hid it from us. While that investigation continues, today we sued Pfizer for deceptively marketing the products as safe—making billions—while pregnant women were miscarrying their babies and teenagers were having heart attacks.”

Pfizer reportedly took in more than $80 billion from vaccine sales, and nearly quadrupled the price from $30 a dose to a range of $110 to $130 in 2023.

Canadian Life Chain’s message: “Abortion Kills Children”

And finally, thousands of Canadians gathered for the 36th annual Life Chain this past weekend, an event that peacefully protests abortion through prayer and public sign holding, reports LifeSiteNews.com.

The signs say: “Abortion Kills Children”, “Adoption: The Loving Option” and “Abortion Hurts Women.”

According to Josie Luetke of the Life Chain Canada committee, “The Canadian pro-life movement silently but boldly confronts our pro-death culture with the pro-life message through Life Chain. The mainstream media may studiously ignore this message, but we’ve bypassed them, bringing the truth directly to our neighbors passing by.”

Chinese pastor detained for “organizing illegal religious activities”

Pastor An Yankui was at his home when Chinese Communist officials arrested him at 10:30 a.m. on September 29th for an investigation on suspicion of “organizing illegal religious activities,” reports International Christian Concern. 

Yankui is the pastor of Taiyuan Xuncheng Reformed Church, an unregistered Protestant church, and has a history of arrests for the same allegation of “organizing illegal religious activities.” In 2020, authorities detained him for 15 days and fined him. Since then, authorities have arrested him several additional times for various reasons.

Authorities have also conducted multiple arrests and raids on the Taiyuan church throughout the years — one raid recently happened during an October 2025 worship service when the Communists arrested 11 churchgoers. 

Write a polite, 4-sentence note to the Chinese Ambassador to America, Xie Feng, urging him to release Pastor An Yankui for simply practicing his Christian faith. Send it to: the Chinese Embassy, 3505 International Place NW, Washington, DC 20008.

Netherlands euthanized 2-year-old child

Netherlands officials just killed a 2-year-old child. It’s the first case of euthanasia on a child under 12 in accordance with a new law drafted in 2024.

Euthanasia is allowable on minor children in this heathen country, where 58% of the people call themselves non-religious, when leftist doctors determine that the child is suffering unbearably with no prospect of improvement, and for whom doctors conclude there is no reasonable alternative to ending their suffering.

The child, whose gender and name have not been released, was born prematurely at 26 weeks of gestation, suffered brain damage, and was diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy and infantile epileptic spasms syndrome. It is also likely the that the child's vision was impaired.

Sadly, the parents asked for the state to kill their child.

Some medical experts asserted that “reasonable alternative solutions existed, such as palliative options and pharmacological alternatives that could potentially lead to better seizure control.”

But the parents refused palliative care, and sought another opinion to be freed from the responsibility of caring for their special needs toddler.

Talarico’s heretical pastor: He’s lying about true beliefs to get elected

James Talarico, the Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate from Texas, famously made this heretical claim about God.

TALARICO: “God is both masculine and feminine, and everything in between. God is non-binary.”

Not surprisingly, his home church, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas, passes out The Inclusive Bible that changes any reference to God the Father or Jesus the Son to more politically correct terms.

Rev. Babs Miller, a self-proclaimed lesbian at St. Andrews, was captured in an undercover video, claiming that while Talarico has walked that claim back, he still believes it.

UNDERCOVER REPORTER: “People are attacking [James] Talarico for saying that God is non-binary.”

REV. MILLER: “Duh!”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER: “Yeah, that’s literally what He is!”

REV. MILLER: “Yeah.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “He [Talarico] went on Fox News and, like, walked that back. Did you, did you see that?”

REV. MILLER: “Yeah. He's getting some advice that I don't think he should be following.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “Yeah, because that's why, that's frankly, for one, something that attracted me to this church was like …”

REV. MILLER: “and I can guarantee you that once he, [Talarico], gets elected, he'll change his tune back to where he was.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “Okay, but he has to kind of play this game.”

REV. MILLER: “Yes, that's, that's what his campaign has convinced him of is that the Democratic Party is backing off on their stances on trans and all of this. And so, his staff is encouraging him to kind of do the same thing.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “Mmm.”

REV. MILLER: “I think it's bad advice personally, but if it helps him win, okay.”

Democrat James Talarico vs. Republican Ken Paxton on transgender surgeries for minors

This is all highly relevant because Democrat James Talarico was one of 56 Texas legislators who voted against Senate Bill 14 which prohibited puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and mutilating “gender-transition” surgeries for children. The final vote was 87 for and 56 against.

By contrast, Republican Ken Paxton, the Texas Attorney General, who is running for U.S. Senate against Talarico:

• issued an official Attorney General Opinion, KP-0401, which concluded that hat puberty blockers and mutilating surgeries on minors constituted “child abuse” under Texas law. 
• urged the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate cases involving so-called “gender-transition” procedures as potential child abuse.
• sued the Biden administration, stopping their attempts to force woke gender policy on Texans.
• defended Senate Bill 14 in court, which banned puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and mutilating surgeries for minors, The Texas Supreme Court ultimately allowed it to remain in effect. 
• sued a North Texas doctor, alleging the doctor had provided prohibited cross-sex hormones to 21 minors in violation of Senate Bill 14.
• issued an opinion stating that Texas parents have rights to their children's school health information, including anything to do with transgender issues, and that schools could face legal consequences for withholding requested information from parents. 

James Talarico’s pastor rejects the atonement of Christ

The heresy of James Talarico’s spiritual leaders does not end there.  

Rev. Babs Miller [of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas] dismisses the orthodox Christian doctrine of Christ’s substitutionary atonement for our sins on the cross.

REV. MILLER: “Jesus was put on that cross not to save us.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “Yes.”

REV. MILLER: “Jesus was put on that cross because Rome hated Him.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “Mmm.”

REV. MILLER: “and they thought He was a threat to their domination of that area.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “Yeah.”

REV. MILLER: “and so they killed Him.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “Yeah, so he was kind of more as a  …”

REV. MILLER: “He didn’t die to save [us from] our sins.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “So, He died more as a kind of a social justice warrior in some sense.”

REV. MILLER: “Yes. So, that makes a whole lot more sense to me than to say that some God would kill His Son for us. That doesn't make sense.”

UNDERCOVER REPORTER:  “Never made sense.”

REV. MILLER: “How does that make up for all the things I can do? No, it doesn't.”

1 Peter 3:18 declares, “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.”

Talarico’s Republican opponent for the U.S. Senate seat in Texas is Ken Paxton.

Rep. Henry Hyde honored for opposition to tax-funded abortions

Republican Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey honored the legacy of the late GOP Congressman Henry Hyde of Illinois who spoke up for the unborn.

Congressman Smith wrote, “Fifty years ago — on September 30th, 1976 — Congress first enacted an amendment offered by Rep. Henry Hyde to protect federal Medicaid funds from being used to subsidize killing unborn children by abortion.

“Beginning in 1981, I had the honor of serving alongside Henry Hyde in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was a brilliant, one-of-a-kind lawmaker — who, to this day, remains the great defender of unborn children and their mothers.”

When he proposed the amendment in 1976, Rep. Hyde said, “An innocent, defenseless human life, in a caring and humane society, deserves better than to be flushed down a toilet or burned in an incinerator. The promise of America is that life is not just for the privileged, the planned, or the perfect.”

Indeed, Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

New York teen raised money to educate 10 kids in Ghana, Africa

And finally, 18-year-old Max Owobu from Bronx, New York is raising money to sponsor school children in Ghana, Africa, where his father was raised, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org.

At age 15, when he visited Ghana, Max said, “I was seeing kids my age working, just selling things on the street or in shops, working along with the family to try and get by rather than going to school to get an education so they could better their lives for the future.”

He decided to devote his own weekly allowance to pay for Matthew, a child in Ghana, to go to school.

Not long after that, Max founded the Yenko Foundation, a 501(c)3 group that has raised the money to sponsor 10 children -- at $1,000 each -- to attend Calvary Methodist school which covers their tuition, uniforms, transportation, and school meals.

In Matthew 25:40, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me."

Algeria Muslims have forced Christians into an internal exile

Following Algeria, Africa’s closure of nearly all Evangelical churches in waves of repression that began in 2017, Christians have been forced underground in what they describe as an internal exile, reports Morning Star News.

Christians in the 99-percent Muslim country gather discreetly in homes, garages or under olive trees, isolating many who are deprived of regular spiritual guidance. Some turn to the internet and social media, where heresies proliferate, thus fostering internal divisions, the spread of false teaching, and the rise of conflicts.

Despite such challenges, some Christians express gratitude to God, viewing this period as a spiritual cleansing to build stronger and more mature churches.

One Christian leader said, “We celebrate Holy Communion and baptisms privately, and dedicate significant resources to charitable aid, in accordance with Biblical commandments.”

He added, “The situation is undeniably difficult because we are deprived of fellowship. But God’s work must not stop. We desperately lack Bibles and Christian books, as customs officials systematically confiscate them even when friends bring them from the West.”

Galatians 6:9 states, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

The number of Christians in Algeria is estimated at about 150,000 people which is 0.3 percent of the total population of 48 million.

Algeria ranked 20th on Open Doors’ 2026 World Watch List of the 50 countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian.

Attempted plane crash thwarted by heroic pilot

On September 30th, a co-pilot stabbed his captain and attempted to crash a flight bound for Israel from the United Arab Emirates that was carrying 174 people. Passengers, most of them Israelis, feared for their lives as the FlyDubai aircraft dropped from 33,000 feet to 17,000 feet in a matter of two minutes, reports the Associated Press.

Amazingly, according to The Guardian, the wounded pilot, Smit Machchhar from India, was lying on the floor of the FlyDubai flight deck, covered in blood, when he managed to click the release to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew to gain entry, overpower his attacker, an Omani national, and save 174 passengers onboard.

Dr Shota Musaev, a dentist, was among those who ran to the cockpit. He told CNN they found the attacker on the floor on top of the pilot, stabbing him. Describing the heroic pilot, the dentist said, “He was covered in cuts – his head, his hands – they were practically sliced open, almost severed in two. … He had lost a lot of blood and was in bad shape.”

Providentially, some of the passengers were pilots, who gained control of the aircraft, which they landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia an hour later on Wednesday.

It’s still unclear what motivated the attack, which came just days before the anniversary of Hamas’ October 7, 2023 attack on Israel that triggered conflict across the Middle East. It has rekindled anxieties about airline security and focused attention on risks associated with flight crews.

Aviation experts said they were surprised, frankly, that the plane did not crash after a descent so extreme that most of the rudder was ripped off the tail.

After landing, Saudi authorities arrested the co-pilot.

Homeland Security expert described incident as terrorist attack on Israel

Appearing on CNN, former Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Juliette Kayyem offered this analysis.

KAYYEM: “This is the biggest vulnerability in airline safety since 9/11. We have secured the cockpits; almost impossible to penetrate. But there are two people in there, and if one of them has a nefarious intent, it is almost impossible to stop that.

“One has to begin with the potential that this was targeted against Israeli passengers specifically. Given the flight plan, this was a co-pilot who intended on crashing the plane. Given who was in the plane, intelligence agencies will be starting with the premise that this was a terror incident.”

Trump announced 1 million getting $500 ObamaCare rebate checks

Here in the United States, President Donald Trump made a surprise announcement which will delight one million Americans, reports USA Today.

TRUMP: “Our administration has discovered that under Sleepy Joe Biden, American households buying health insurance through the Obamacare exchange -- which is a disaster, and the www.healthcare.gov -- were massively overcharged.

“To put it mildly, they were forced to pay excessive fees totaling at least $500 million. The last administration knew about this and they studied it, but they kept the money. They just kept it. They never let anyone know.

“Our administration is doing the right thing and giving the money back to the people who were wrongly ripped off. Nearly one million hardworking Americans in 30 states will soon be getting refunds of $500 each, with a check sent to their home address.

“In many cases, these refunds will cover the entire spike in your insurance caused by Democrats who solely work to protect big insurance companies. The big insurance companies own the Democrats. The rebates are going out in just a few weeks.”

12-year-old girl gathers 30,326 diapers for needy families

And finally, most 12-year-olds are pretty self-absorbed. But Sloan Petty in Phoenix, Arizona is pretty selfless.

Amazingly, she just completed her sixth annual Sloan’s Diaper Drive, providing 30,326 diapers to needy families through Nourish Phoenix, a local food and clothing bank. Her goal was 22,500 diapers. So, she exceeded her goal by nearly 8,000 diapers, reports GoodNewsNetwork.org.

It all started when she was seven, and noticed that Nourish Phoenix had run completely out of diapers, which she discovered was one of their top requested items.  That’s when she decided to invite her friends and family to donate diapers. That first year, she gathered 7,000 diapers.

SLOAN: “If we have the ability to give people something that they might not have or need, it's really important to do that.”

Indeed, 1 John 3:17 says, “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need, but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?"

Not surprisingly, Sloan Petty’s mom is super proud.

MOM: “My little girl. She has such a big heart. She just loves helping and giving back.”

This year, before they delivered the 30,000 diapers by UHaul, the Petty Family could barely move in their own house, which was stuffed to the gills with diapers.

SLOAN: “We had so many diapers; you could barely walk around our house.”

 At Nourish Phoenix, families can find food, clothing, hygiene products, and job assistance. For many of them, diapers can quickly become one of the biggest expenses in the household.

SLOAN: “I just feel like diapers are such an overlooked thing.”

4,216 Nigerian Christians killed since January 1st

Equipping the Persecuted released a report this month, documenting the ongoing slaughter of Christians in Nigeria, Africa. 

Over 4,216 Christians were killed in the West African nation between January 1 and September 8 of this year. Most of the violence against Christian farming communities appears to be religiously motivated. It’s largely carried out through Islamic militant networks.

Violence has also displaced over five million Christians and destroyed over 600 Christian communities. Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Nigeria. 

1 Corinthians 12:26 says, “If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.”

Euthanasia deaths surging in Victoria, Australia

Euthanasia deaths are surging in the Australian state of Victoria.

A government report found there were 512 deaths by euthanasia and assisted suicide over the last year. That’s up from 389 deaths the previous year.

A total of 2,188 people have died this way since the state of Victoria started allowing it in 2019.

United States completed withdrawal from Iraq

The United States completed its military withdrawal from Iraq yesterday.

TRUMP: “Well, we don't think we need the military there anymore. It's a very big operation. What we do have is the oil companies are all going in now, and they're doing partnerships with Iraq, and they're getting along very well. The relationship is a whole big relationship where we don't need the military there. We're there to help them. We're there to protect them, if need be.”

The U.S. invaded Iraq in 2003, deposed Saddam Hussein, and occupied the country until 2011.  American forces returned in 2014 to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS. The U.S. military, along with Iraqi forces, defeated ISIS in 2017. 

Over 4,400 Americans died in Iraq since 2003. And an estimated 200,000 Iraqi civilians were killed during the same period. 

U.S. economy did better than expected

The U.S. economy grew better than expected during the second quarter of this year.

The Gross Domestic Product increased at an annual rate of 2.2 percent from April to June, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. 

Economists had only expected 1.5 percent growth in the GDP.

Judge allows cross to remain in Los Angeles

A federal appeals court recently protected religious symbols in Los Angeles from being removed.

Since 1929, a 10-foot-tall wooden cross has stood in the historic heart of Los Angeles. A local resident sued to remove the cross and keep the city from putting up a nativity each year.

The Ninth Circuit court of Appeals rejected this effort on Monday.

High school students less likely to be perverted

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released their Youth Risk Survey. 

The study found students from 9th to 12th grade are less likely to identify as homosexual or bisexual than they were two years ago. 

Jean Twenge, a psychology professor at San Diego State University, said, “That really does look like a free fall. The decline appears to be driven almost entirely by girls.”

Young men most likely to attend church more

A new survey from Barna Research found that one in three young adults say they’re attending church more often than a year ago.

Young men are among the most likely to say their attendance has increased. 

Prayer is the top reason young people give for attending church followed by worshipping Jesus with other people, experiencing joy in Jesus, and understanding what the Bible has to say. 

Psalm 122:1 says, “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the LORD.’”

George Whitefield preached 18,000 times to 10 million people in person

And finally, this week is the anniversary of the death of George Whitefield.

The English preacher was born in 1714 in Gloucester. After attending college at Oxford, he would become an itinerate preacher across Britain and the American colonies. His preaching was an important part of the religious revival known as the First Great Awakening.

He often preached outside to thousands, reaching many who never attended church. It’s believed he preached at least 18,000 times and reached about ten million listeners. 

By the age of 55, he continued to preach despite poor health. He gave his last sermon in a field in Exeter, New Hampshire. He died the next day on September 30, 1770.

In Acts 20:24, the Apostle Paul said, “I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the Gospel of the grace of God.”

Christian social worker penalized for Biblical views

A social worker in the United Kingdom appeared in court on Monday to defend his religious freedom.

As a Christian, Felix Ngole has expressed his Biblical views of marriage and sexuality. This cost him a job. Touchstone Leeds, a mental health charity, withdrew an offer of employment after it learned of his views. Ngole is challenging the decision in court as discrimination. 

He said, “I am determined to pursue this appeal and seek a clear and lasting precedent for Christian freedom.” 

In Luke 6:22-23, Jesus said, “Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed, your reward is great in Heaven.”

Only 40 percent of French believe in God

The European Centre for Law and Justice released a report on religion in France.

The study found only four in 10 French people say they believe in God today, down from two-thirds in 1947. 

The historically Roman Catholic country is seeing a collapse of Catholicism. Only 46 percent of French people identify as Catholic. And just five percent attend Catholic Mass, down from 35 percent in 1960. 

Even as France secularizes, Evangelical Protestants are a growing share of the population. It’s estimated that a new evangelical church opens every ten days.

Man gets 6 years for taking explosive devices to Mass

Here in the United States, a New Jersey man was sentenced to nearly six years in prison on Monday for taking explosives to a church.

Louis Geri was arrested outside the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington, D.C. last year. He had over 100 homemade explosive devices. 

The cathedral was hosting the annual “Red Mass” that day. Supreme Court Justices and government officials have historically attended the service. However, on that day, no justices were present because of security concerns, noted the National Catholic Reporter.

The Red Mass dates back many centuries and gets its name from the color of the liturgical vestments worn by the celebrants and the color of fire, a symbol of the Holy Spirit.

The mentally-ill man also carried a nine-page list of written demands, which included requests for hundreds of thousands of dollars, an expatriation flight to Japan, and that the Supreme Court remove Arizona from the United States and declare it a “foreign enemy.”

Trump rolled back fuel efficiency requirements on cars

The Trump administration rolled back fuel efficiency requirements for car manufacturers on Monday.

Under the Biden administration, companies had to make cars two percent more fuel efficient every year. The Trump administration changed this to one percent more efficient every year. This would make new cars less expensive. 

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said, “Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, we have finally ended the illegal mandate that forced automakers to produce more expensive electric vehicles that American families didn’t want.”

Federal Reserve raised interest rates

The Federal Reserve raised interest rates earlier this month for the first time in over three years.

The Fed increased its benchmark interest rate by a quarter percentage point to a range of 3.75 to 4 percent. This will likely mean higher borrowing costs for credit cards and mortgages.  

The Fed stated, “Inflation remains elevated. Today's policy action will support a timelier return to the Committee's 2 percent goal.” The annual inflation rate was 3.4 percent last month. 

22-year-old homeschool graduate denied from being Fremont firefighter

And finally, Andrew Coates served as a volunteer firefighter at Fremont Fire Department over the past two years. He applied for a full-time position. But the city denied the application because his diploma came from a homeschool program. 

Nebraska’s Republican Governor Jim Pillen condemned the city’s action. He said, “We should be encouraging young leaders like Coates, not turning them away. My administration will be investigating ways to remedy this situation.”

Coates appeared on Washington Watch with Tony Perkins heard on 800 radio stations last week. He said he’s received support from lots of homeschoolers.

COATES: “The support has honestly been overwhelming. We've received support from homeschoolers, firefighters, churches, organizations just all over the world. I've actually been receiving letters in the mail from homeschool families that just want to stand and support us. It's really just overwhelming support.”

He also asked for prayer in his case.

COATES: “Be in prayer for us. Pray for a few things. Wisdom during this time that we would just be seeking God first. Clarity to be able to continue. Humility in the way we handle things. Courage as we continue to stand against this.”

In Joshua 1:9, God said, “Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Chinese communists shut down churches while Jin ping in America

While Chinese President Xi Jinping was visiting the United States, Communist police were still arresting pastors and shutting down churches in China.

Pastors and church workers from Jiaquan Church in Beijing have been arrested in raids occurring over the last week.  This follows another mass arrest of more members of the Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengdu in southwestern China.

Send a polite, 4-sentence letter to the Chinese Ambassador to America, Xie Feng, urging him to tell the Communist party officials to stop arresting pastors and shutting down churches. Send it to the Chinese Embassy, 3505 International Place NW, Washington, DC 20008.

Supreme Court continues to affirm parental rights Over the past year, parental rights advocates are winning cases at the U.S. Supreme Court.

By law, the state of California was requiring school officials to conceal information concerning children’s gender transitioning behavior from their parents.  Thankfully, the high court struct down the law earlier in the year. 

In a separate ruling last June, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down another Maryland law that prohibited parents from opting their kids out of homosexual/transgender indoctrination classes, reported CBS News.

Writing the majority opinion, Justice Samuel Alito argued on the basis of religious rights. He wrote, “A government burdens the religious exercise of parents when it requires them to submit their children to instruction that poses ‘a very real threat of undermining’ the religious beliefs and practices that the parents wish to instill.”

Ebola virus killed 4,000 people in Congo

The World Health Organization reports 8,000 cases of Ebola in the latest outbreak in Congo, Africa — and now, almost 4,000 deaths.

This is the worst outbreak of this deadly disease since 2013. 

Mortgage rates at 7.5% The U.S. 30-year mortgage rate hit 7.5% yesterday, reports Mortgage News Daily. 

That’s the highest rate since December 2000. 

Trump criticized United Nations

President Donald Trump took to the stage at the United Nations General Assembly in New York last week, heavily criticizing the organization, but also praising it in some aspects as well.

Trump stated, “There is no human right to illegal immigration, but there is a right to remain a sovereign nation.”

He added that the United States “totally rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme to control artificial intelligence.” 

The president also said, “The United Nations has great, great potential” and he encouraged the U.S. Ambassador to the UN “to implement the most sweeping UN reforms in history.”

Canadian doctors kill more people than American murderers do

Canada now kills more people by "assisted suicide" than the United States does by homicide.

United States Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah detailed this fact in a now viral post on X, stating, “State-administered death is now more common in Canada than gun homicide is in the U.S.  That didn’t happen by accident.”

He also said, “The intersection of assisted suicide and socialized medicine results in state-led horrors, treating the young, old, infirm, and distressed as disposable people. We must never allow this barbarity to spread in America.”

Jeremiah 8:3 gives a stark warning. The Lord of hosts said, “Then death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of those who remain of this evil family, who remain in all the places where I have driven them.”

Gen Z more religious than older generations

A new update from the Harris Report revealed that Gen Z is more religious than older generations.

Per the report, “Gen Z is not abandoning faith, they are the generation most likely to identify as religious. Gen Z is not just identifying with faith, they are actively practicing it. For Gen Z, spirituality is one way to build agency in an uncertain future.”

However, many in Gen Z continue to observe harmful religious practices, and dabble with the occult and manifestations. 

Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Planned Parenthood gave Joe Biden their baby killing award

And finally, abortion giant Planned Parenthood handed out its 2026 Sonia Schorr Sloan Service Award to former President Joe Biden, one of the biggest supporters of abortion in United States history, reported LifeNews.

Biden recalled his historic murderous work. Referring to Sonny Sloan, the late president of Delaware’s Planned Parenthood, Biden said this.

BIDEN: “In the wake of the Dobbs decision, as president, I tried to do what I knew Sonny would have been on the phone telling me to do. We took action. We signed executive orders to protect access to reproductive health care, including emergency medical care.”

Muslims killed Nigerian pastor, wounded his son, and killed 12 others

Armed Muslims killed a pastor and a believer on their way to worship God on Sunday morning in Plateau State, Nigeria, reports International Christian Concern. The pastor’s son is in critical condition. 

This was not an isolated attack.

Just hours earlier, five laborers in the region were shot on their way to work. Gunmen also terrorized several surrounding communities, ultimately killing 13 people. 

These murders reflect the heightened outbreaks against Christians and Christian-majority areas in the country.  According to TruthNigeria, this past week, 41 people were reportedly killed, and at least 100 were kidnapped.

In Revelation 6:9-10, it says, “When [Jesus] opened the fifth seal, [John the disciple] saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the Word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, ‘How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until You judge the inhabitants of the Earth and avenge our blood?’”

Argentinian President: The United Nations is “useless”

In a gutsy appearance before the United Nations, Argentinian President Javier Milei said, "[The United Nations] has become a useless organization whose only purpose is to sustain a caste of fatally arrogant parasites masquerading as well-intentioned bureaucrats.”

Incoming Democrat Rep. arrested in anti-Israel protest

Dozens of New York Democratic politicians, including incoming Democratic Socialist Congresswoman Darializa Chevalier, were among those arrested on September 24th for ignoring police orders during an anti-Israel protest of 250 people, reports The Western Journal.

Chevalier is a socialist ally of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani who is expected to be in Congress come January. She was protesting the speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the United Nations General Assembly whom she called a “war criminal.”

She said, “As the Democratic nominee for New York’s 13th Congressional District, I refuse to allow a war criminal to roam the streets of our city unchallenged. I refuse to play host to a man who has overseen the slaughter or injury of more than 64,000 children in Gaza with American taxpayer dollars.”

While Chevalier has not yet won the election, a very deep blue New York 13th District practically guarantees a victory.

The politician arrested for disrespecting the rule of law has previously tweeted about abolishing police, prisons, and borders, and has explicitly called for the government to seize private property. 

In one now deleted September 2021 post, Chevalier wrote, “A world without borders—just like a world without prisons or police—is possible, necessary, and the only moral way forward.”

Media commentator: We are not spin doctors for Democrats

Appearing on PBS’ NewsHour, David Brooks of The Atlantic surprised his leftist media colleagues by asserting that too many in the mainstream media have become too cozy with Democrat politicians from whom they should distance themselves.

BROOKS: “Starting in 2015, we, in the mainstream media, learned that, if you bash Donald Trump, the clicks go up, the ratings go up. It became the business model. We play it straight. We do our job, but it's become the business model. “We get to go to dinners, sometimes off-the-record dinners, between journalists, columnists, and politicians. It used to be, when you were at a dinner, an off-the-record dinner with the Democratic politician, there was distance between the journalists and the Democrats, because they're politicians. Our job is to keep some distance.

“In my view, at many places and in many of the dinners I have been to, there's no distance anymore. And that is a problem for the media. And that is our problem. We have got to re-establish some distance from the Democratic Party.

“These are people we cover. They're not people we root for. They're not people we're spin doctors for. They're people we cover.”

Supreme Court allows Trump to verify only U.S. citizens vote

In a 6-3 decision on September 25th, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration to resume its expanded voter citizenship verification program, which lets states use Social Security records to check voters' citizenship to ensure that noncitizens do not illegally vote in the upcoming November 3rd election, reports CBS News.

That decision paused a lower court order by U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan in June that claimed that the voter verification system somehow violated federal privacy laws. Not surprisingly, Judge Sooknanan was a Biden appointee.

Leftist Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Jackson dissented.

New Jersey Lt. Gov. resigned over sexual harassment complaint

On September 25th, New Jersey Democratic Governor Mikie Sherrill announced that Democratic Lt. Governor Dale Caldwell resigned from his position amid allegations in an ethics report that claimed he violated state sexual harassment policies, reports The Epoch Times.

A 61-page report, conducted by a law firm commissioned by the governor’s office, found that Caldwell made an advance toward a female staffer’s friend and allegedly made a crude remark to the staffer. The staffer also attempted “to distance herself from him and to avoid travel with him when possible.”

Kind gesture of pizza delivery driver richly rewarded

And finally, when a Domino’s store in Boise, Idaho ran out of Diet Coke, the 68-year-old delivery driver, Dan Simpson, took it upon himself this past March to make a special trip to a nearby grocery store and personally pay for a 2-liter soda for the customer to accompany the pepperoni pizza, reports The New York Post.

When the surprised customer heard about what happened, he offered to reimburse Dan.  Simpson refused, saying that they had tipped him well and he just wanted to make sure that their order was right.

SIMPSON: “We were out of Diet Cokes.”

WILSON: “Okay.”

SIMPSON:  “I stopped at the store, though.”

WILSON: “Oh, you did not have to do that.”

SIMPSON:  “That's okay.”

WILSON: “Did you really?”

SIMPSON: “Yeah, that's all right.”

Brian Wilson, the man who placed the order, explained to Channel 2 News, why Dan’s act of kindness meant so much to him and his wife.

WILSON: “Our situation is unique in the fact that my wife and I are both visually impaired. We share the same retinal disease. Hers is more progressed than mine.

“So, she doesn't unfortunately drive at all. I do still have daytime ability to drive, but at night, when you got those Diet Coke cravings, you can't just run up to the store, right? It's not as easy for us as it would be for someone else who is sighted completely.”

Galatians 5:22 lists the fruit of the Spirit to include “love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

According to the now viral video captured by the Ring camera, and seen by millions of people, the couple, who were dazzled by Simpson’s helpfulness, created a social media donation page which raised enough money to help the pizza delivery man to retire.

SIMPSON: “I checked my bank account, and there was $163,000. What a retirement gift that was!”

Simpson was especially grateful because he had been juggling a full-time job in addition to delivering pizza at night for the past 13 years.

In an interview with KTVB-TV, Simpson shared that he had previously abused alcohol, but had learned his lesson.

SIMPSON: “I got in a lot of trouble with drinking and drugs, and I've been clean and sober now for well, this September, I think will be 24 years. I did go to prison twice for DUIs, and when I got out, I said, ‘That's it!’ I knew I'd never drink again. I was just finally done. Ever since I stepped out of prison, I've basically worked two jobs and worked hard and tried to do the right thing.”

Remarkably, he plans to continue to deliver pizza on the weekends, so he doesn’t get bored in retirement.

Sudanese officials take away church property

In Sudan, Africa, a 97% Muslim country, the battle for the soul of the church is not only fought with guns. It’s also fought with court papers, administrative orders, and calculated division, reports International Christian Concern.

For years, successive authorities in Khartoum, the capital, have pressured church leaders to comply, and then moved to seize control of church properties.

One church now at the center of this struggle is the Sudanese Church of Christ, Marzouq Branch, established in 1982.

The Sudanese government is now moving to sell or transfer control of the property.  

The pastor said, “When a church that has stood since 1982 is suddenly told it no longer belongs to the people who prayed and sacrificed for it, the wound goes deeper than the loss of a building. It tells every believer that even the house of God is not safe.” 

Isaiah 10:1 says, “Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees.”

Write a polite, 4-sentence note to the Sudanese Ambassador to America,  Mohamed Idris, asking him to urge the Sudanese government to stop illegally seizing church properties. Send it to 2210 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20008.

Voters may be unhappy with Trump, but know Democrats are worse

Appearing on CNN, Republican political strategist and commentator Scott Jennings argued that voters can be unhappy with President Donald Trump without believing Democrats are the better alternative.

JENNINGS: “It's going to be possible for people to have some problems with the current administration or have some issue with the way things are going, and still vote for the party in power, because they don't want to vote for the other party.

“Because the other party in the election might be proven to have worse ideas, or to have been judged to have put us in this hole in the first place. That's really the case that the Republicans are going to wind up making.”

Judge restores CNN, MS NOW and Politico access to White House

On September 18, President Donald Trump had announced that he was banning CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House premises over their publishing sensitive or classified information. The White House said such behavior presented risks to national security.

On September 24, federal Judge Timothy Kelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued a temporary restraining order against the government ban, reinstating access for all three media outlets, reports The Epoch Times.

North Carolina church baptizes 458 people in a single day

In Acts 2:38, we are commanded to “repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.”

Well, on Sunday, September 13th, 458 people did just that in one day at Biltmore Church, a multisite church in Fletcher, North Carolina, as part of its annual Outdoor Baptism event, reports The Christian Post.

Biltmore Pastor Devin Goins and the pastoral team baptized them in a nearby lake. He explained, “In the days before Outdoor Baptism, anyone interested was personally contacted by our staff to confirm that they knew Christ personally as their Savior and were ready to take this next step of obedience as a Christ-follower.”

Overall, Pastor Goins said that seeing so many people get baptized creates "an opportunity to celebrate and praise God for being at work in our midst.”

Sri Lanka sentenced 15 men for bombing churches

Sri Lanka’s High Court sentenced 15 men to life in prison on Tuesday for bombing churches.

In this island country off the coast of India in the Indian Ocean, the men participated in the bombings of three churches on Easter Sunday in 2019. Religiously speaking, nearly 70 percent of the 22 million Sri Lankans are Buddhist, 12 percent are Hindu, 11 percent are Muslim, and 7 percent are Christian. 

The terrorist group, Islamic State, inspired the attacks which killed over 250 people.

The Catholic Church welcomed the convictions. However, leaders are also calling for an investigation into alleged political involvement behind the bombings.

South Korea to greenlight Abortion Kill Pill for mothers

LifeSiteNews reports that South Korea is set to allow deadly abortion drugs into the country. The government made the announcement last week.

Mothers will be able to get Abortion Kill Pills up to nine weeks of their pregnancies by early 2027.

South Korea decriminalized abortion in 2019. It delayed legislation on abortion pills due to push back from Christian groups. 

United Nations trying to criminalize pro-life & pro-family positions

The United Nations General Assembly meeting opened in New York City on Tuesday. 

Leaders from around the world gathered to discuss issues like the U.S.-Iran war, the Russia-Ukraine war, and Artificial Intelligence.

In the midst of the foolishness at the United Nations, U.S. President Donald Trump stood tall for common sense and condemned transgenderism at the U.N. meeting.

Dept of Justice gets two hospitals to stop transgender operations

In related news, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that two hospital systems have agreed to end transgender operations.

New York University Langone Hospitals and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center will no longer offer transgender drugs and surgeries to children. 

Attorney General Todd Blanche said, “Today’s resolutions send a clear message: Hospitals that target children in these practices and then fraudulently obtain payment for the procedures will be held to account!”

Over 40 hospital systems have ended transgender operations since President Trump began his second term last year.

28 percent of churchgoers say Biblical truth becomes obsolete

LifeWay Research released a new survey on what churchgoers believe about the Bible.

Most Protestant churchgoers in the U.S. are confident in their ability to understand the Bible and explain it to others.

However, most churchgoers also believe that the truth of God’s Word can mean different things to different people. And a growing number share doubt or reject Biblical truths. 

Specifically, 28 percent said some Biblical truths become obsolete as culture changes, up from 24 percent in 2019. Among churchgoers under the age of 30, 54 percent believe that Biblical truths become obsolete as culture changes

But Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Microchip maker joins trillion-dollar club

Another U.S. company joined the trillion-dollar club.

Advanced Micro Devices, or AMD, surpassed one trillion dollars in market capitalization on Monday. The computer chip maker has profited from the growth of Artificial Intelligence computing. 

It’s now the fourth chipmaker in the United States to reach a trillion dollar valuation. The others are Nvidia, Broadcom, and Micron.  

Researchers discovered new species of wild cat

And finally, researchers discovered a new species of wild cat for the first time in a century. 

It’s known as the Tilcayo tiger cat. The feline is spotted and smaller than most house cats. It’s been living at a wildlife sanctuary in Bolivia, South America for years. Locals knew about it, but scientists had not identified it as a unique species until now. 

Jonas Lescroart with the University of Antwerp said, “Even in groups that are very well studied, like the cat family, apparently there’s still a diversity that is hidden.”

Indeed, God continues to surprise us with His creation. In Psalm 50:10-11, God says, “For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are Mine.”

Christians call for release of Syrian former mayor

A persecution watchdog group is calling for the release of a Christian in Syria. 

Suleiman Khalil used to be the mayor of the historic Christian town of Sadad. Syrian authorities arrested him last year. He’s been in prison without charges for 19 months.

GHAZAL: “He was abducted from his home and thrown in prison, without access to counsel, limited access to family medical care. This event is not unique. This is happening all across Syria in many different ways, but it sends a message to Christians that you are not welcome in Syria. You are not Syrians. Canadian officials euthanized 83-year Christian great-grandmother

Law enforcement officials in Canada are now investigating the killing of a Christian great-grandmother.

Eighty-three-year-old Brigitte Stegemann was euthanized on July 10. This happened against her will and against the will of her family.

Her granddaughter Brigette Kranendonk said, “I truly believe that one nurse really saw us as an obstacle. We were getting in the way of her doing [euthanasia] on my grandmother. I think she really, truly believes that [euthanasia] is the best for people, and shame on me for trying to stop that.”

Proverbs 12:10 says, “The tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.”

Will European Union add Canada?

The European Union is exploring ways to add Canada as an associate member, reports the Epoch Times. 

European Union Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen told Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, “I would like to work with you on opening the door for Canada to be the first associate member of the European Union.”

Von der Leyen continued, “Our cultural, historical, and personal links run deep in the fabric of our societies and thanks to the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement our trade and goods has grown by 75 percent in less than a decade.” 

Carney responded on X, “With President von der Leyen and [European Parliament] President [Roberta] Metsola, we focused on what comes next: a closer partnership that strengthens our mutual sovereignty in order to create more opportunities and prosperity for our people.” 

However, the idea has received pushback from conservatives in Canada. 

Trump’s Greenland deal allows America’s military presence

The United States is establishing a larger military presence on Greenland.

President Donald Trump signed an agreement with the leaders of Greenland and Denmark on Tuesday. 

The agreement does not make Greenland a territory of the U.S. But it does allow the U.S. military to use the region for its missile defense shield.

TRUMP: “We will have the complete ability to do what is necessary to defend the American continent and also Europe and other places. No U.S. adversary will ever be permitted to establish a military presence in Greenland anymore or make sensitive investments there without our express written approval.

“We will immediately begin the process of developing a large military presence in the appropriate locations. We'll be building two very major military bases.”

How Christians are reaching the deaf

And finally, Christian ministries are reaching the deaf and hard-of-hearing with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Myanmar military killed third pastor

The Myanmar military junta has killed a third pastor, reports International Christian Concern.

Pastor Tuang was returning to Lamzang after conducting religious activities in a nearby village. Bullets reportedly struck his chest, abdomen, and thigh. This appears to be the continuation of targeted attacks on Baptist pastors in the Chin State.

Since the 2021 coup, the military has damaged or destroyed 340 churches and buildings owned by Christians.

Ukraine knocked out 30% of Russia’s oil refining industry Ukraine is crippling Russia’s oil industry in a more recent series of drone attacks in the ongoing war.  Another oil-refinery was hit over the weekend. 

The International Energy Association estimates that 30% of Russia’s oil refining industry has been knocked out in recent attacks.

America punishes countries who purchase Russian oil President Donald Trump signed the Lindsay Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 which Congress recently passed.

The bill authorizes up to 100% tariffs on U.S. imports from countries purchasing Russian oil and gas.  Specifically, China and India are the major buyers of Russian oil. 

Oil and gas make up about one-eighth of the Russian economy, and contribute one-quarter of the federal revenues for the country.

Not surprisingly, the Russian Gross Domestic Product has been hit badly in 2025 and 2026 — with a 0.5% GDP growth expected this year, down from 4.5% in previous years.

Putin’s party won election after banning anti-war party The preliminary results of the Russian parliamentary elections held over the weekend are in. No surprise here. Vladimir Putin’s party received 57% of the vote. That’s up from 50% in 2021.

That comes after the anti-war party was banned from the election, and anti-Kremlin figures were imprisoned, exiled, barred, or otherwise disappeared. All the remaining major parties broadly support Putin's government and the war.

Condo prices are falling Condo prices have been dropping steadily in U.S. major markets since real estate peaked in 2022. 

Adjusted for inflation, Florida and California cities have seen a 30-42% drop in condo prices since 2022. Denver, Colorado condo prices have dipped 28%.

U.S. deficit hit $2 trillion

The U.S. federal deficit year to date hit $2 trillion at the end of August. The Congressional Budget Office is estimating a $2.1 trillion deficit for the year.

That would amount to an 18% bump on the deficit over last fiscal year, and a 34% increase in deficit spending over President Biden’s first year.

Right now, according to the U.S. Debt Clock, America is burdened with a staggering $40 trillion debt.

Meryl Streep will portray Aslan in new Narnia movie

Now, Narnia is going woke.

Turns out, the latest movie production of C.S. Lewis’ Narnia tale, Magician’s Nephew, will feature Aslan, the character who portrays Christ, as a female voice. Actress Meryl Streep is Aslan this time around, and Christians are not happy.

Commentator Isabel Brown called this “a slap in the face to the genius of Lewis, but also a deliberate mockery of Christianity that is 100% intentional. So deeply disappointing.”

Another online comment noted, “Had they actually read Narnia, and The Last Battle specifically, they would know that dressing [a donkey] up in a lion skinsuit does not end well.

The director for this latest Narnia film, Greta Gerwig, is best known for directing the Barbie movie — an explicit diatribe on feminism. Let’s keep in mind Galatians 6:7. It says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Supreme Court rejected Trump’s mail-in ballot accountability

The Trump administration continues to battle with the Supreme Court over mail-in ballots, as the high court rejected Trump’s executive order that would have added verification codes to ballots received through the mail.

The President responded on Truth Social. He wrote, “Republicans just got another bad decision from the United States Supreme Court, one that the Court System took forever to give, and then blamed it, in part, on no time left to implement a solution to our totally CORRUPT and out of control Mail-In voting ‘disaster,’ which is a laughing stock all over the World.”

And now, the FBI  is assigning “election crisis coordinators” for all 56 field offices,” according to FBI Director Kash Patel.  

New York Times poll puts Democrats 8 points ahead of Republicans

Speaking of the November 3rd election, early voting has already begun in certain states across America.  The midterm elections will determine the balance of the U.S. House and Senate, both of which currently enjoy a Republican majority.

A New York Times/Siena poll, conducted between September 8th-13th, puts Democrats eight points ahead of Republicans.

Several Senate races have become especially tight and remain in the spotlight, with conservatives seeking to keep Texas red and supporting Republican Ken Paxton over Democrat James Talarico. 

Democrats are also looking at flipping a Senate seat in Maine. 

Anniversary of Martin Luther’s translation of German New Testament

And finally, yesterday marked the 504th anniversary of the first printing of Martin Luther’s translation of the German New Testament. That’s right, back in 1522, Luther finished one of his most precious life works. 

Referencing this monumental feat, church historian Philip Schaff wrote, “The most important and useful work of [Luther’s] whole life, is the translation of the New Testament, by which he brought the teaching and example of Christ and the Apostles to the mind and heart of the Germans in life-like reproduction. It was a republication of the Gospel. He made the Bible the people's book in church, school, and house.”

Chinese Communists arrest 11 from Early Rain Covenant Church

As the elders of the 500-member Early Rain Covenant Church met quietly on September 10th at a local teahouse to discuss church matters, Chinese Communist authorities were already on to them, reports International Christian Concern.

Around 3:00 p.m., police entered the teahouse, interrupted the meeting, and arrested 11 of the elders.

Early Rain has a nearly 10-year history of being harassed, monitored, and pressured by the Chinese Communist Party.

Most of the elders are in their 70s. He Futao, age 73, has notable health conditions. He recently underwent surgery to remove a lung infected by cancer.

Police told church members and relatives that they were doing “an investigation into a cult.” At midnight the following day, an ambulance arrived. They speculated that one of the elders needed emergency medical assistance. 

By 10 a.m. on Saturday, police had finally released nine people. However, Elder Wu Wuqing and Shen Xiaqing are still being held and are accused of “illegally organizing proselytizing activities.” They were fined and sentenced to 10 days of detention.

The Early Rain Covenant Church members in China are boldly living out Romans 1:16 which says, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”

Write a polite, 4-sentence note to the Chinese Ambassador to America, Xie Feng, urging him to tell Chinese President Xi Jinping to stop harassing the Early Rain Covenant Church members. Send it to the Chinese Embassy, 3505 International Place NW, Washington, DC 20008.

Kellyanne Conway: It's not who they will vote for but whether they will vote

In an interview with former Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, Fox News host Martha MacCallum cited a New York Times story about how the November 3rd election is shaping up, reports RealClearPolitics.com.

MACCALLUM: “Let’s go to this headline from earlier today. ‘Less than seven weeks before the midterm elections, the political environment has deteriorated so badly for Republicans that the battlefield now extends deep into states and districts that Mr. Trump carried three times, often by double digits.’ “When you look at where the money's going, where the president's going to spend his time, what does it tell you about the challenge here?”

CONWAY: “So, there are a few challenges here. Obviously, 92% of the midterms, the party in power loses seats. A 73% loss of Senate seats. So that's a historical trend. I think if anybody can defy political gravity in some of these places and spaces, it's President Trump and his team. …

“The non-college educated voters right now favor Republicans over Democrats by 16 points. Why is that relevant? That's the heart of the Trump coalition. But for them, Martha, they are feeling some economic grievance and uncertainty and pressure.

“For them, the question is not for whom to vote; it's whether they're going to bother at all. And that's the big question here.

“I think if the president and his money goes to turnout mechanisms, he's basically saying, ‘I'm the big turnout mechanism. I will go to 35 places in 30 states.’ I think sometimes it's more important than money. …

“I was waiting for the Democrats to tell the press they were expanding the map. And that tells you that they're not satisfied with the 21 truly toss-up seats going their way.”

Senator Hawley urges Congress to outlaw chemical abortions

Last Wednesday, Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri announced that 50,000 Americans from across the country signed a new, 4-page “Declaration for Life” within hours of its public release that calls on Americans “to stand for life” and for Congress ‘”to ban the chemical abortion drug mifepristone,” reports The Washington Stand.

He added, “We think this declaration, written by pastors, is calling on spiritual leaders and everyday Christians across America to stand for life and to confront the scourge of chemical abortion. It is so critical on this the 250th anniversary of America.”

Earlier this year, Senator Hawley introduced Senate Bill 4066, the Safeguarding Women from Chemical Abortion Act that would outlaw chemical abortions.

[On the House side of the Capitol, the same legislation was introduced as House Resolution 7902 by Republican Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger of Tennessee. The Senate bill has seven co-sponsors, all Republicans, while the House bill has 11 co-sponsors, also all GOPers.]

Sadly, neither the Senate nor the House proposal has been advanced to committee hearings, as Republican leaders focus on other issues.

Americans fail the Constitution pop quiz

Last Thursday, September 17th, was Constitution Day, an annual federal observance. The day commemorates the September 17, 1787, signing of the U.S. Constitution by 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia.

According to the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania,  which conducted a Constitution Day Civics Survey, over 35% of U.S. adults cannot name all three branches of the U.S. government, reports The Daily Citizen.  If you’re listening to the newscast with your family right now, pause it and see which of your younger children can correctly identify the three branches of government.   If they said, the three branches are legislative, executive and judicial, give them a high five.

The survey also found Americans’ knowledge of their First Amendment rights is sorely lacking. The Amendment contains five enumerated rights, including:

• The right to free speech
• The right to freely exercise religion
• The right to peaceably assemble
• The right to freedom of the press
• The right to petition the government for redress of grievances.

While 73% of Americans can name freedom of speech as a right guaranteed by the First Amendment, only 43% can name freedom of religion, an embarrassing 31% can identify freedom of assembly, a paltry 29% can name freedom of the press, and a pathetic 12% can name the right to petition the government.

Worse yet, 24% of American adults cannot name one of them.

Seattle City Council voted to protect polygamy and infidelity

And finally, on September 15, the Seattle City Council, in a unanimous vote, removed the legal reality of male and female in city statute. Plus, the leaders gave legal recognition and protections to a whole host of very unhealthy sexual and gender identities, reported KUOW.

Glenn Stanton, the director of Global Family Formation Studies at Focus on the Family, said, “They even backtracked on the lie that sexual orientation rests on ‘just being born that way.’ And Seattle’s City Council had to do all this because the gender and sexual revolution keeps moving its own goal posts.”

The fools who call themselves wise said this vote “updates the existing protected class of ‘sexual orientation’” by removing any “reference to the male and female gender binary.”

Stanton insists that this claim of being non-binary is a “fictitious ideological construct which does not exist in nature. Every cell in the human body is sexed. That sex is either male or female.”

Worse yet, Seattle now recognizes “‘pansexuality’ as a sexual orientation subject to civil rights protections.” Pansexuality is also a made-up term, created to cover over the embarrassment that “bisexuality” rests on the dreaded “gender binary.” 

The Focus on the Family expert asserted, “The creation of pansexuality was needed because gender theory now incoherently holds that anyone can be any of the 20, 68, 72, 81, or 87 sexualities” that exist in the minds of different leftists. Being bi- is now the flat-earther of gender theory and the Seattle City Council is just trying to keep up with the moving goal posts.

In Matthew 19:4, Jesus asked, “Have you not read that God who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female’?”

Ugandan Muslim father tried to burn Christian daughters alive

At around midnight on September 6, Amina and Shamila, two newly converted Christian sisters, were inside their home in Kasese District in the country of Uganda, Africa when their house was set on fire, reports International Christian Concern.

The arsonist was their Muslim father, Muhamud. He had doused the house with gas, then set it alight while the girls slept inside. He had told them he would act to fulfill Islamic law since they had rejected Islam when they recently converted to Christianity on August 26.

The girls awoke to the smell of gas and the sight of flames surrounding them. Amina said, “We saw flames of fire consuming our house. We now started looking for Plan B to escape death.” 

The girls barely escaped in time. 

Shamila added, “We knew that our lives were in danger. We removed the bricks and escaped through the hole. Thank God that He gave us a way to get out alive.”  

The girls survived the fire which destroyed almost everything they owned.

Amina said, “We are happy to say that the fire consumed our shelter, but did not consume our faith and hope in Jesus Christ.”

Indeed, 1 Peter 1:3 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

Rising gas/food prices are "killing" Trump and Republicans

Appearing on Fox News, Brit Hume, their Chief Political Analyst, explained to Bret Baier that the November 3rd election is not looking good for President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

HUME: “The Fed is concerned about the same thing that our polling today, that came out today, suggests the American public is concerned about. That's the issue that helped elect Donald Trump. And I'm talking about inflation right now.

“Question has been raised: Has the Trump administration made the economy better or worse? Fully 63% say it's made it worse, and that is 11 points higher, 11 percentage points higher than the number of people who thought that last year. That is not a number that the president can be very content with, and if you look at what people are saying about what is a major problem for their family: 62% said grocery prices, 61% said gasoline prices. Those are both things that are up.

“The president was elected in the hope, I believe, that inflation could be brought under control, and to some extent on many products it has. But when it comes to gasoline, a reflection of the Iran war, and groceries, which have continued to go up, the problem is worse.

“And it's certainly plaguing the president and driving down his approval rating. When a president's approval rating is down, particularly in a midterm election, it is very hard on his party.”

House ensures data centers cover their own energy costs

On September 16, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a measure put forward by Republicans that would provide a federal blueprint to ensure that data centers pay for their use of local energy grids, reports The Epoch Times.

It was adopted in a 417–3 vote.

The legislation would impose new requirements on artificial intelligence data centers.  Typically, they draw huge amounts of electricity from local power grids, straining supplies and leading to utility bill shocks for households across the nation.

Estimates indicate that data centers use about 4 percent of the U.S. electric grid.

According to Electric Choice, the energy used to power these facilities, which draw roughly 176 terawatts of electricity per year, could otherwise be used to power 16 million homes.

Hollywood refused to honor Chuck Norris at Emmys

Hollywood is facing a Texas-sized backlash after television legend Chuck Norris was conspicuously left out of the Emmy Awards’ televised “In Memoriam” tribute, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes.

Norris, the conservative Christian action star who became a television icon playing Cordell Walker on CBS’s “Walker, Texas Ranger,” died in March at the age of 86. Yet his name and image were nowhere to be found during Monday night’s tribute.

Breitbart’s John Nolte suggested that politics may have been behind the snub, calling Norris a “conservative TV icon” and arguing the omission amounted to blacklisting.

Academy chairman Cris Abrego said before the broadcast that an unusually large number of prominent television figures had died and it was “not feasible” to include everyone in the televised segment. But for Norris fans, leaving out the man who dominated Saturday-night television for nearly a decade was one roundhouse kick too many.

Single mothers are getting older

Single moms are getting older.

According to the Institute for Family Studies,  “Births to unmarried mothers are stereotypically thought of as occurring to young women. This is still true — but increasingly less so. In recent years, the age profile of unmarried mothers has changed due to shifting birth rates. Birth rates to young, unmarried women are declining, while birth rates to unmarried women over 35 are increasing.

“The birth rate to unmarried women, ages 15 to 44, declined by 19% in the decade between 2014 and 2024.

“Meanwhile, the unmarried birth rate for women over 35 is increasing — by 15% between 2014 and 2024.

“At the same time, the unmarried birth rate for women over 40 increased by 40%. Notably, 2024 was the first year where the birth rate to unmarried women ages 40-44 was higher than the birth rate to unmarried teens.”

Court upholds Indiana’s ban on ‘horrific’ ‘trans’ surgeries for kids

Last Friday, a federal court sided with Indiana in upholding a state law prohibiting ‘horrific’ ‘trans’ surgeries from being conducted on children, reports the Federalist.

Indiana Republican Attorney General Todd Rokita said, “We have won this critical fight against radicals who would otherwise impose this horrific practice on our kids for ideological and financial reasons. My office will keep standing between our children and those who would sacrifice their health, innocence, and well-being on the altar of woke gender ideology.’”

Head of Texas Libertarian Party is a polygamist

And finally, you probably have never heard of Andrew Amelang, the Chairman of the Texas Libertarian Party. He is also a proud polygamist, reports The Daily Citizen.

Worse yet, he also holds a key leadership position in an organization called Biblical Families. The website claims that “plural marriage” is Biblical. Full stop.

Any Christian worth his salt knows well that the presence of a particular act, like polygamy, rape or incest in the Bible, does not mean that God endorses it. By no means!  The Bible holds up a mirror to the sinfulness of man and thus his need for a Savior.

Genesis 2:24 could not be more clear. "Therefore, shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”  The verse does not say he will cleave unto his multiple wives.

Russia fining Christians who help with Bible distribution

Russia is cracking down on foreign religious organizations. 

One of the groups is Mission Eurasia. The U.S.-based ministry works across post-Soviet Eurasia, equipping Christian leaders, distributing Bibles, and planting churches. Those who cooperate with the group in Russia have been convicted and fined. 

Sergey Rakhuba, the president of Mission Eurasia, told Christianity Daily, “Governments can close an organization’s office. They can prohibit a foreign organization. They can confiscate books. … But it is much harder to stop the Gospel when it is already in the hearts and hands of thousands of local believers.”

In Isaiah 55:11, God said, “So My word that goes forth from My mouth … shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

2,634 Germans baptized in last 4 years

Evangelical churches are experiencing growth in Germany.

The Federation of Free Evangelical Churches in Germany reported 2,634 baptisms over the last four years. That’s up 76 percent from the previous four years. 

Meanwhile, mainline Protestants and Roman Catholics continue to decline in Germany.  

Christian mother allowed to adopt despite believing only 2 genders

Here in the United States, a Christian mother in Oregon is free to adopt in accordance with her beliefs.

Jessica Bates described her case. She said, “As a widowed mom of five, I was surprised to feel God nudging me to adopt. I never dreamt it would lead to a years-long lawsuit when Oregon excluded me just because of my religious convictions about gender.” 

Alliance Defending Freedom announced she finally won the legal battle on Monday. She is now free to adopt without violating her Christian beliefs that God created only two genders – male and female. (Genesis 1:27)

More American mothers killing their unborn babies

Abortions continue to increase in the United States.

Analysis by the Charlotte Lozier Institute found there were 1,129,020 reported abortions in America last year. That’s up 1.8 percent from 2024. 

Plus, an estimated 393,700 babies were murdered in the womb during the first four months of this year. At that rate, abortions are set to keep rising in 2026.  

Trump champions deregulation of fossil fuel power plants

The Trump administration repealed most greenhouse gas requirements on U.S. power plants on Monday.

The regulations from the Obama and Biden administrations limited carbon emissions from fossil fuel power plants. 

Listen to comments from Lee Zeldin, the administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. 

ZELDIN: “Under the Obama and Biden administrations, the EPA went to war, targeting coal and natural gas. Many Americans remember the message being sent that our coal workers should just learn to code.

“It's a different day under President Trump. Today, we are cutting the red tape to deliver the largest power sector deregulatory action ever saving 310 billion dollars for American families. We are also proposing to rescind all remaining greenhouse gas emission standards for power plants, all of them.

“If finalized as proposed, energy producers will be given certainty for the future, empowering them to unleash the full potential of American energy and provide it at an affordable price for American families.”

Average American spent $800 more on gas

Americans have spent an extra $100 billion on fuel this year.

Brown University estimated how much more gasoline and diesel has cost due to the Iran war. The figure comes out to over $800 per U.S. household in higher fuel costs. 

Barna: 85% of voters likely to vote on November 3rd

Arizona Christian University released a new study from Dr. George Barna ahead of the midterm elections in November. 

The study found that 85 percent of voters will likely vote in primary and general elections. These are often high-profile state and federal elections. However, only 55 percent will likely vote in down-ballot races. These are more local elections.

Dr. Barna noted, “School board, city council, judgeships, city and county executives -- these are common examples of the thousands of seats across the country that often directly affect the lives of citizens more than the high-profile, big-money, high visibility seats.”

Tennessee Governor proclaims day of prayer, humility, & fasting

And finally, Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee proclaimed September 18 as a day of prayer, humility, and fasting. 

The proclamation stated, “We acknowledge God's sovereignty and the need for God's grace over our state and our nation . . . We seek forgiveness for our many transgressions so that our hearts and our minds may be renewed . . . Scripture tells us that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, [Proverbs 9:10] and the Lord gives wisdom freely to those who ask for it.”

Indeed, James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

Algerian police arrested 12 Christians in worship service

Police in Algeria, Africa arrested 12 Christians at a worship service earlier this month.

Authorities accused them of conducting unauthorized, non-Muslim religious services. Under the country’s laws, such unauthorized worship could be punished with heavy fines and long prison sentences. Over 50 Christians in Algeria have faced prosecution in similar cases in recent years.

Morning Star News noted, “These cases … all attest to the persistence of a policy aimed at criminalizing the Christian faith and its structures within the country.”

Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Algeria. Hebrews 13:3 says, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.”

5.5 million Christians identify as Evangelical in United Kingdom

The Evangelical Alliance UK released a survey on evangelicalism across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. 

The survey recognized Evangelicals based on four ideas:

• devotion to the Bible as God's Word
• the centrality of the cross of Christ
• the belief that people must repent and turn to Christ, and
• the expression of the Gospel in evangelism and charitable work 

People who hold evangelical beliefs and identify as Evangelical number 5.5 million in the United Kingdom. They make up about eight percent of the population. Evangelicals are now the majority among practicing Christians in the country. They are also young with over 40 percent under the age of 35.

U.S. military announced space weapons

On Monday, the U.S. military announced for the first time it has weapons in space. 

Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink said, “The United States now has in-orbit, space-controlled weapons capable of defending the joint force against hostile adversary action.”

He said the weapons use both traditional explosives as well as electronic warfare. They also have integrations with artificial intelligence. 

EPA announced chemical abortion drugs in water

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency launched a new study last week about pollutants in drinking water.

The study will trace and track over 1,400 substances. These include mifepristone and misoprostol which are used in chemical abortions.

Kristan Hawkins with Students for Life of America said, “For almost a year now, Students for Life spearheaded a grassroots campaign calling for water testing, as the deregulation of chemical abortion pills . . . means that abortion water pollution exists nationwide.”

Women are told to take the Abortion Kill Pills and flush everything directly into our water supply. About 700,000 chemical abortions each year send long-lasting abortion drugs and human remains into America’s wastewater systems. Mifepristone blocks progesterone, thus starving the baby. This drug has long-lasting metabolites that remain in the water because the water treatment plants are generally not capable of filtering out these chemicals. In addition to these chemicals, the water systems were never designed for the resulting 30-40 tons of human remains which becomes hazardous medical waste! By contrast, hospitals and abortion mills are not allowed to flush medical waste down the drain for good reason.

Women more satisfied with U.S. church than men

The American Bible Society released the latest chapter of its “State of Bible: USA 2026” report. 

The survey found that only 49 percent of self-identifying Christians attend church monthly or more. Of those who attend regularly, most said they were satisfied with how their churches are ministering to them.

Across generations, women tended to express greater satisfaction with their church than men. Young men in particular expressed the lowest satisfaction with their church.

Ephesians 4:11-12 says of the church: “And He Himself gave some [to be] apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

Man who won U.S. Open didn’t realize he won at first

And finally, the U.S. Open Tennis Championships Men’s Final was played in New York on Sunday, with eight-seeded American Ben Shelton facing top seeded Alexander Zverev from Germany. 

The United States had not had a man win the U.S. Open since 2003, a 23-year drought. Shelton, who had already upset the two-seed in his way to the finals, was looking for his first major title.

But, the Americans will have to wait another year, as Zverev came through to win the match in four sets: 6-3, 7-6, 5-7, and 6-2.

The best part? According to Yahoo Sports, Zverev did not realize he had actually won at first (video)!

Sexually perverse activists threatened outspoken Australian pastor

LGBTQ activists attacked a pastor’s home last week in Sydney, Australia, reports MyChristianDaily.com.

Four people, two wearing hoods, cut the electricity to the home and then threatened to kill the pastor, his wife, and their newborn baby. They knew each member of the family by name. Other relatives were also mentioned by the assailants.

The pastor, Andrew Sedra, is known for his public opposition to abortion and the homosexual/transgender agenda in Australia.

In a message on her Instagram account, Millicent Sedra said, “We thank God for His continual protection as we boldly preach the Word of the Lord.” She included what appears to be a home video of the event on the post. 

Pakistani Christian teen stands up to Muslim mob

Here’s a story of a young 17-year-old boy who stood up against a mob of Muslim bullies who were harassing a Pakistani Christian girl.  

Ikhlaq Masih was severely beaten unconscious with iron rods which required his hospitalization.

Stand up to bullies and be prepared to pay the cost. That’s real courage for every young man listening today.  

Isaiah 1:17 speaks of this.  “Learn to do good; Seek justice. Rebuke the oppressor. Defend the fatherless. Plead for the widow.”

Turkey arrested 162 connected to homosexuality The nation of Turkey has announced 162 arrests involving 22 associations and businesses that promote homosexual and transgender material, which they find harmful to children, reports CNN.

The groups reportedly have also “received large sums of funds from public institutions and foreign organizations abroad” to promote homosexuality in Turkey.  This is part of a broader pro-family campaign to contain the promotion of homosexuality in Turkey, and salvage the birth rates.

Turkey President Recep Erdogan has publicly stated his commitment to improving the nation’s birth rate — now hovering around 1.5 which is identical to America’s low birth rate.

British Parliament kills assisted suicide bill

By a very close vote count of 286 to 270, British members of Parliament managed to kill an assisted suicide bill last Friday.  Both the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Church opposed the bill, reports the BBC.

Alithea William of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children called this a huge relief. In her words; “Parliament has stepped back from the very brink in rejecting this bill which would have put vulnerable people at incredible risk.” 

Global trade down

Global trade continues to suffer as the war in the Middle East drags on. 

The Strait of Hormuz has been all but closed since March of this year, and with it, inflation has risen and global trade growth has been cut in half.

According to the World Bank, global growth is set to fall to only 2.5% for 2026. By way of comparison, the Gross World Product growth rate has averaged around 3.7% per year over the last decade or so.

Plus, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development is projecting above 4% inflation in the United States this year alone.

U.S. treasury yields are highest ever

In economic news, long-term U.S. treasury yields are the highest they’ve been since the early 2000s, reports CNBC.

And the 30-year mortgage rate hit 7.12%. That’s where it was around 2001 — some 25 years ago before the big dip in borrowing rates took place in the American economy. 

Gas diesel prices skyrocket

Gas and diesel prices are up. 

The current average for just one gallon of diesel is a whopping $6.23, while a gallon of gas sits at an average of $4.31.

Newly-unveiled Charlie Kirk statue vandalized

A newly unveiled statue of slain activist Charlie Kirk was vandalized outside of the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. 

In a statement, Turning Point USA noted, “We will restore the statue and replace the signs, but we are also reviewing the footage of the incident and are working with law enforcement to identify who did this and hold them accountable.” 

Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow, added, “They thought a bullet would silence my husband’s voice but it only made it louder. They think spray paint can obscure his legacy, but it will only spread it further. Every attempt to tear down what Charlie built makes us root deeper and work even harder.”

LifeSiteNews.com reported that she also said, “And if you think crossing out the name of Jesus Christ will silence Christians, history has already proved you wrong. We know what it costs to stand firm for Christ and we will stand anyway. God will not be mocked.” (Galatian 6:7)

Kirk’s murder reignited an ongoing debate about the link between rhetoric and violence in politics, with many blaming assassin Tyler Robinson’s actions in part on years of Democrat officeholders and left-wing activists not merely disagreeing with conservatives about issues such as transgenderism, but classifying disagreement as hateful and oppressive. 

Kirk was killed at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. The 8-foot bronze statue was put up on September 10, 2026 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his murder.

U.S. Airman shot down over Iran grateful to God

And finally, that Air Force colonel, whose F-15E Strike Eagle was shot down over Iran in the early weeks of the war, was interviewed by Norah O'Donnell on CBS’s  60 Minutes about his ordeal.  

Known by the call sign “Bravo,” he was the Weapons Systems Officer and landed five miles away from the pilot.

O’DONNELL: “So, your seat was damaged by Iranian fire, and yet you still were able to eject safely.”

BRAVO: “I was.”

O’DONNELL: “Did your parachute deploy?”

BRAVO: “My parachute was damaged in the initial attack. At one point, when I looked up and saw, “No parachute,” it was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen. So, I paused right then and I prayed, ‘Lord, Your will be done. But, if I'm getting through this, I need help.”

O’DONNELL: “While you're in the air.”

BRAVO: “Yeah.”

O’DONNELL: “Is that almost like free falling, or how would you describe that?”

BRAVO: “Free falling is a good way to put it.”

O’DONNELL: "So, how fast do you think you were going when you hit the ground?”

BRAVO: “Professionals, based on my description and the injuries that I had, the professionals think I hit the ground going somewhere between 70 and 100 miles an hour.”

O’DONNELL: “How did you survive that?”

BRAVO: “A modern-day miracle. I believe that it's a testament to God's provision in my life to bring me through that moment in a way that -- didn't prevent injuries -- but prevented any catastrophic injuries that would have affected my ability to survive. I'm grateful -- eternally -- for knowing that He was there with me.”

Psalm 34:17 says, “When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”

Former Muslim beaten badly by three Ugandan Muslim sons

A 52-year-old Christian in eastern Uganda was recovering from injuries after his Muslim sons attacked him for leaving Islam, reports Morning Star News.

Kibirige Abumusa returned home on August 9 after an extended stay in Jinja City, where he had put his faith in Jesus Christ on June 1 at an open-air evangelistic event after which he stayed for discipleship.

Immediately after Abumusa’s conversion, a Muslim imam in Jinja City told his son Budallah.  Upon his father’s return, Budallah questioned his father about abandoning Islam, calling him an infidel, and told him that he did not deserve to live because of his decision to leave Islam. Budallah struck Abumusa with a stick, and his four other sons joined in beating him.

By the time neighbors arrived, Abumusa was weak, bleeding from the nose and had wounds on his hands, legs, and back. Islam teaches that killing a former Muslim earns the killer paradise.

Muslims make up just 12 percent of Uganda’s population.

In Matthew 16:24, Jesus said, “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.”

Detroit pastor declares: “Satan, you will not steal our country!”

Appearing at the GOP Midterm Convention in Dallas, Texas last week, Lorenzo Sewell, a black Detroit, Michigan pastor of the 180 Church, delivered a benediction which was well received.

SEWELL: “I would like to preach a message entitled ‘Enough is enough.’ How many know that we are saying today: ‘Not today, Satan’?

“You will not steal our country. You will not have our children. You will not have our families. Enough is enough. I know I got somebody in this room that believes in the King of Glory, the One who is strong and mighty, the One who is mighty in battle.  He's got the only name given among men whereby we must be saved, and that's the name of Jesus. Come on now. If you believe in that name, put your hands together and give your great God great glory.

“Devil, you won't have the land where my fathers died. Devil, you won't have the land of the Pilgrim's pride. From every mountainside, we believe that freedom will ring. If you believe where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Come on, Texas, put your hands together, and give our great God great glory. (applause)

“Before I take my seat, let me just ask you one question: ‘Are you proud to be an American?’

CROWD: “Yes!”

SEWELL: “For at least I know that I'm free, and I thank God for the men and the women that died, that gave that right to me. And I'm gonna stand up and fight, fight, fight for the soul of a nation. If that’s you, put your hands together and give your God great glory.” (applause)

Psalm 96:8 says, "Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name.”

While Lorenzo Sewell was in high school, his father went to prison for murder, and his younger brother was hit by a car and killed. That’s when Sewell became heavily involved in drugs, drug dealing, and the gang life, ultimately becoming a gang leader.

During his senior year of high school, while under the influence of drugs and alcohol in Daytona Beach, Florida, Sewell was kicked out of a resort. On his way out, the security guard told Sewell that he would pray for him. On April 18, 1999, Sewell attended his grandmother's church, and had a "Damascus Road" experience that turned his life around.

No wonder, after his dramatic conversion, he chose to name his church the 180 Church.

Rep. Brandon Gill: Mid-term election is mainstream vs. extreme

Appearing at the GOP Midterm Convention in Dallas on September 10th, Republican Congressman Brandon Gill of Texas explained what is at stake in the upcoming November 3rd election.

GILL: “This election is very clear. It's the mainstream versus the extreme, because there's another political movement in our country right now that doesn't believe that America is or ever was great. (audience boos)

“They sometimes call themselves socialists. Some even call themselves communists. But most of them simply go by Democrats. They're the ones who will tell you that your love for America is nothing but bigotry, that our heritage is rooted in white supremacy, and that your Christian faith is patriarchal and needs to be dismantled.”

Trump promised $5,000 'dividend' for Americans if GOP wins midterms

President Donald Trump opened his remarks at the GOP Midterm Convention in Dallas with this comment.

TRUMP: “The Democrats are getting nervous. They said, ‘If we did a midterm convention, nobody would show up.’ This place is packed.”

He made news for promising a financially irresponsible giveaway if Republicans retain the House and the Senate, reported CNBC News.

TRUMP: “If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for $5,000. Very much like a successful company will do a cash distribution to its shareholders, or like last year when I gave our great members of the military $1,776.”

If the Republicans retain the House and the Senate, and President Trump makes good on that promised Treasury giveaway, it would add a whopping $1.3 trillion directly to the national debt, which already sits at $40 trillion.

Sen. Fetterman will switch parties post election if GOP lose Senate

And finally, appearing on "The Journal Editorial Report" on Fox News, Democratic strategist and pollster Doug Schoen explained what needs to happen for the Democrats to win the U.S. Senate.

SCHOEN: “If Trump stays below 40 [percent], and the election is a referendum on him, that will work to the Democrats' advantage because the Democrats need a ‘wave election’ for them to win the Senate. If it isn't a ‘wave election,’ I don't think they do.”

There are six states where the race for the U.S. Senate is a toss-up including Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Ohio and Texas.  For Democrats to take back the Senate, they need to pick up four of those six senate seats.

Paul Gigot, the Fox host, asked why Democrats are going after Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, a defender of Israel and who defended Trump at the Midterm Convention, reports RealClearPolitics.com.

GIGOT:  “So, let's talk about Fetterman. Why are Democrats going after Fetterman?” SCHOEN: “Because they are scared of two things. One, Fetterman attacking them. Second, Fetterman leaving them. And the third, Fetterman represents a brand of politics that I support, which is moderate, Democratic incrementalism and strong support for Israel and a strong American foreign policy. That is now off the table for my party. The world of Bill Clinton and the Democratic Leadership Council is gone.”

The Democratic Leadership Council was a centrist group that was active from 1985 to 2011. It argued that the United States Democratic Party should shift away from the leftward turn it had taken since the late 1960s. One of its main purposes was to win back white, middle-class voters with ideas that addressed their concerns. The Democratic Leadership Council hailed the election and re-election of Bill Clinton as proof of their worldview. GIGOT: “Are you saying that it is now impossible for somebody to be vocally pro-Israel in the Democratic Party in a prominent role?” SCHOEN: “In an unabashed way, I'm saying yes. Look at Chuck Schumer. He has been far more outspoken about change in Jerusalem than in Tehran.”

Then, Paul Gigot asked about Fetterman’s long-term prospect in the Democratic Party which elicited a fascinating response from Doug Schoen.

GIGOT:  “Briefly, can Fetterman win a Democratic primary in 2028?” SCHOEN:  “No, he cannot. He knows that. Democrats know that. That's why I think him going to do that cameo at the convention is a “crossing the Rubicon” for him, meaning that even if the Democrats win by one seat, my prediction would be [Fetterman] changes parties.”

Nigerian Muslims killed 11 in Adamawa State

On September 7, suspected Boko Haram Muslim terrorists murdered at least 11 people in Zaranga Village located in the Adamawa State in Nigeria, reports International Christian Concern.

The attackers entered the community before dawn, shooting residents and setting houses ablaze.

One heartbroken man said, “My wife and two of my family members were killed during the early morning invasion of my village.”

No doubt Amos 5:24 is the prayer to God of Nigerian Christians today. “Let justice roll down like waters.”

Cubans are pushed to breaking point as crises take toll

Sweltering nights. Water and power shortages. Dwindling fuel and crumbling homes. Limited public transportation and weak cellphone signals.

The psychological toll of daily life in Cuba is pushing many to their breaking point on this island of nearly 10 million people, with no relief in sight as a U.S. energy embargo persists and longtime economic and financial troubles deepen, reports The Associated Press.

Dr. Yomeidis Riverón said. “Before there was hope. Right now, what people have lost is exactly that.”

Cuba’s crises worsened after U.S. President Donald Trump announced in late January that he would impose tariffs on any country that sells or provides oil to the Caribbean country. Longtime U.S. sanctions also have taken their toll.

According to Communist Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Parilla, from March 2025 to the end of February, “the U.S. policy of economic strangulation” amounted to more than $8 billion, a record figure.

Island-wide blackouts have increased this year, and daily outages now surpass 24 hours. As a result, water is often scarce, and small protests have erupted, despite the fear of being detained, as anger and frustration boil over.

The situation has worsened to a point that the U.S. Embassy recently issued two public health alerts about “the degradation of the water and energy infrastructure. ... Recent cases have included E. coli, norovirus, Shigella, and other gastrointestinal pathogens.”

U.S. missionary to Cuba gives first account of the despair and hope

Colleen Thoreson, a U.S. missionary to Cuba who serves with her husband Steve, has seen both the despair and the hope in Cuba.

She said, “In Camagüey, [a city of 300,000,] the Cubans there are eating cats now and killing their horses for meat.”

She added, “Forty percent of the pregnancies in Cuba end in abortion. Our team spends a lot of time in the big maternity hospital. Every month we continue to make a dent in that overall number of abortions. The majority of the pregnant women get born again before giving birth.”

Her team, comprised primarily of Cuban believers, led 4,000 people to Christ in the hospitals alone last month.

Luke 15:10 says, “There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

First moments of the 9/11 Muslim terrorist attacks

Twenty-five years ago today, at 8:46 a.m. on September 11, 2001, Dick Oliver, a reporter for Good Day New York on WNYW-TV, uttered these shocking words on live television as he talked to the anchor, Jim Ryan.

OLIVER: “Jim, just a few moments ago, something, believed to be a plane, crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. I just saw flames inside. You can see the smoke coming out of the, of the tower. We have no idea of what it was. It was a tremendous boom just a few moments ago. You can hear around me emergency vehicles heading towards the scene. Now, this could have been an aircraft or it could have been something internal. It appears to be something coming from the outside due to the nature of the opening on about 100th floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center.”

Minutes later, Dick Oliver observed this.

OLIVER: “Now, the smoke coming out of the opening appears to be black smoke. This would indicate things that are burning inside. We have no idea of what happened. But we did hear what sounded like, sounded like an aircraft, and then, a tremendous boom. Now, I don’t know whether we can confirm that that was an aircraft or not.”

And then, for the first time, Fox 5 anchor Jim Ryan cited the 1993 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

RYAN: “One’s memory has to go back to another terrorist attack — we would hope it is not this time, but if it were a plane that crashed into the side of the building — you would imagine that there would be something on the ground that would be visible. So…”

OLIVER:  “That’s true, Jim. I cannot see the ground from here. You recall back in, I believe, it was 1945 when a U.S. Air Force plane crashed into the, about the 80th floor of the Empire State Building during a foggy night. The skies here, as you can see, are perfectly clear. So, I’m starting to lean to the idea that perhaps, whatever happened here, came from the inside of the World Trade Center.”

RYAN: “Something has either crashed into the World Trade Center. (Pause) Ah. If it. (Pause) We’re, we’re, I’m just told that Metro traffic is reporting that it was indeed a plane crash. If that’s the case, ‘Where’s the plane?’ I would ask. I don’t see it in that live picture there. One’s thoughts, obviously, go back to a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center that created havoc there back in the early 90s.”

On September 11, 2001, 19 Muslim terrorists hijacked four airplanes, two of which they flew into the World Trade Center towers. A third plane hit the Pentagon, which headquarters the Department of War, and the fourth, United Airlines Flight 93, which was likely destined to take out the Capitol, was downed in Pennsylvania by brave Americans who fought back.

According to an audio recording, Todd Beamer famously said, “Are you guys ready? Let’s roll!” before he helped storm the cockpit where the Muslim terrorists had hijacked the plane.

All told, 2,996 Americans perished along with all 19 Muslim al-Qaeda terrorists.

Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

Court ruling for GOP-favorable Missouri map will help retain House

And finally, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order on September 8th against Missouri officials from using 2022 congressional maps for the midterm elections instead of the new Republican-favorable map used during the 2026 primary, reports The Daily Wire.

The judge said using the old map would disenfranchise primary voters who had already cast their ballots in the primary. 

Eastern District of Missouri Chief Judge Stephen Clark, a Trump appointee,  wrote, “Disenfranchising voters across the state and denying them their constitutional right to have their primary votes counted significantly harm the public interest. Using a different map for the general election would wreak havoc on the fairness and orderliness of Missouri’s congressional elections, calling into question the candidacy of those nominated in the primaries and the votes of those who voted in the primaries. Widespread voter confusion would inevitably follow.”

The ruling comes after Republican Congressman Bob Onder and Republican congressional nominee Rick Brattin, and two Missouri primary voters argued that their votes would be invalidated if the old maps were reinstated for the November election. Judge Clark agreed with their argument.

The ruling will help enable the Republicans to retain control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Nigerian Muslims killed 51 percent more people in last quarter of 2025

The Christian persecution charity Open Doors published a report on Nigeria, Africa this month. It’s ranked 7th on the charity’s list of the world’s most dangerous countries worldwide to be a Christian. 

Islamic extremist groups drive much of the violence in the country which affects many Christians.

Abductions linked to extremist violence rose to 3,415 incidents during the last quarter of 2025. That’s up 153 percent from 2024. Plus, civilians who were murdered rose to 1,735, up 51 percent. Many of those martyrs were Christians. 

The report noted, “After a period of relative stabilization, killings and abductions appear to be rising again, with sharp increases recorded in late 2025.”

In Psalm 82:4 and 8, the psalmist prays, “Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked. … Arise, O God, Judge the Earth; for You shall inherit all nations.”

Conservative Global Methodists grew to 7,250 churches

The Global Methodist Church held its General Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa last week.

The theologically conservative denomination started in 2022 as churches left the mainline United Methodist Church.  

Global Methodists had around 4,700 churches in 2024. Now, just one and a half years later, they’ve grown to 7,250 churches.

Federal appeals court heard abortion drug arguments

Here in the United States, a federal appeals court heard arguments in a case about abortion drugs yesterday.

Under the Biden administration, the Food and Drug Administration made the abortion drug mifepristone more accessible through the mail. Previously, an in-person visit to a doctor was required. The state of Louisiana is now challenging these changes in court.

Attorney Erin Hawley with Alliance Defending Freedom said, “It’s high time the FDA be held accountable for the destruction it began causing under the Biden administration with this high-risk drug that is flowing illegally into states that protect life.”

Democrat Sen. Fetterman praises Trump at GOP Convention 

Republicans are holding their first-ever midterm convention this week. (You can watch the video here).

The two-day event kicked off yesterday in Dallas, Texas.

President Donald Trump attended the event, and was the keynote speaker, along with Vice President J.D. Vance, cabinet officials, and congressional candidates.

Republicans hope to energize voters through the convention ahead of the midterm elections in November.  

One surprise at the GOP Midterm Convention, which turned a lot of heads, was a video appearance by Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania who rejected the socialist rise of extreme candidates in his own party, praised Republican President Trump, and introduced his Republican colleague in the U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania, David McCormick.

FETTERMAN: “A big room of Republicans in Dallas. Yes, I'm Senator John Fetterman, Pennsylvania. Yes, I'm a Democrat. Why am I here talking to you today? Because, well, I'm a common-sense Democrat. I'm always going to stand with America. “I'm always going to reject the extremes and socialism and that anti-American way of life. Dave McCormick is the kind of senator that gets the job done. And he's going to fight for Pennsylvania. “I'm proud to count him as my friend. Right back over my shoulder, that's the iconic U.S. steel mill. And that's exactly the kind of thing that will work together and will work with President Trump to fight and defend the steel way of life right here in the Steel Valley. “I have this opportunity to introduce this great American, a great senator. And yes, he's in a different party, but I'm proud to count him as my great friend. So, for everybody in Dallas, I'm here to introduce Dave McCormick.”

Republican Senator David McCormick of Pennsylvania is not up for re-election until 2030.

CNN pollster calls GOP Mid-term convention ill-conceived

In related news, CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten provided polls on voter enthusiasm on the eve of the Republican midterm convention. Enten called the event "ill-conceived," saying the party's core voters "don’t need to be convinced" to come out.

ENTEN: “This idea is so ill-conceived and you can just see it by the fact that they're doing it when the football season is starting. Who does that?

“When you look at the numbers, no, that is not the part of the party in which you actually need to motivate. You can see this here. Extremely motivated to vote in the midterm elections: Sixty percent of Democrats are extremely motivated to vote. Fifty-nine percent of that hard-core Trump base, MAGA Republicans, 59 percent. The same as the Dems."

Enten pointed to a graphic showing that the least motivated voters in the mid-term election this November are the 41 percent of Republicans who do not identify with "Making America Great Again."

ENTEN: “The ones who are not motivated to vote are the non-MAGA Republicans. The people who are far less likely to approve of Donald Trump. The people who think that Donald Trump's Republican Party probably this should be the end of it. That's where the problem is. “So, no, it is not, in fact, the hard-core Republican base that needs that motivation. It is other folks -- at this convention -- simply put, they won't be reaching because they'll probably be watching football like most Americans.”

Diesel prices hit an all-time high

Last Friday, U.S. diesel prices hit an all-time high 

The average nationwide price reached $5.85 per gallon. It was $3.76 per gallon back in February. That’s when the U.S.-Iran conflict began, disrupting the oil supply.

Diesel is used in most freight transport in America. Higher transport costs will likely translate into higher retail prices especially for groceries. 

New York homeschooling up 200% since 2011

Homeschooling is up 200 percent in New York over the past 15 years.

The Empire State now has 53,905 homeschoolers. New York City itself has 14,000 homeschooled children. Homeschooling is not only growing, it’s outpacing the rate of charter school enrollment. 

Zilvinas Silenas, president of the Empire Center for Public Policy think tank, told The New York Post, “For the past few decades, New York’s schools have been in a death spiral of worsening performance and exploding costs. New York’s taxpayers spend $37,000 — the most in the world to educate one kid — yet we lose in reading and mathematics to Mississippi, the poorest state.” 

Adults admit to spending too much time on smartphones

And finally, a new Pew Research survey found over half of U.S. adults say they spend too much time on their smartphones.

Among adults under 30, 70 percent said their phone usage is excessive. Overall, a quarter of Americans admit they use their smartphone almost constantly. 

Over the past 12 months, 45 percent of adults have tried to cut back on smartphone use. A quarter of those report they have been successful. 

Ephesians 5:15-17 says, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

No Christian refugees have been granted asylum in America

The United States has not admitted any Christian refugees fleeing persecution over the last year. That’s down from over 18,000 Christian refugees admitted in 2017, according to a report from Open Doors and World Relief. 

Compared to his first administration, the second Trump administration has deprioritized refugee resettlement for people suffering religious persecution. 

World Relief created a petition which we have linked in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com. The petition calls for the U.S. government to “once again prioritize Christians and other religious minorities fleeing religious persecution.”

Brazilian Evangelicals are largest group of young people in Catholic nation

Evangelicals are now the largest religious group among young people in the historically Catholic nation of Brazil.

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics published new data from the country’s 2022 census. 

Roman Catholicism remains the country’s largest religion at 57 percent but has been declining for decades. Evangelicals now represent 26.9 percent of the population. And people who identify with no religion remain a minority but are growing in Brazil.

Our demographically-aging population

The U.S. Census Bureau released a population report last month entitled, “An Aging World: 2025.”

The report found that people aged 65 and older make up about 11 percent of the world’s 8.1 billion people. Meanwhile, children who are five years of age or younger make up only nine percent of the world’s population.

This means there are more senior citizens than young children in the world for the first time on record. Plunging fertility rates are behind this demographic change. 

Psalm 127:3 is as applicable today as the day it was written. “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

Idaho given green light to enforce abortion ban

A federal court ruled Idaho can enforce its ban on most abortions.

Idaho passed its Defense of Life Act in 2020. The state’s supreme court upheld the law back in 2023. However, a new lawsuit seeks to allow abortions in the state to supposedly protect a mother’s so-called “health.” 

Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador said, “Last month a federal judge blocked Idaho from enforcing our pro-life laws. We appealed immediately, and today the Ninth Circuit put that order on hold. Idaho can enforce the law again while this case is heard, which means unborn children and their mothers in our state are protected under Idaho law.”

Artificial Intelligence making students less intelligent

Global student performance is declining as Artificial Intelligence usage rises.

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development surveyed over 760,000 students in 91 countries last year. Student performance continued to decline last year, especially in reading and math. Reading scores in the United States reached their lowest point in over two decades. 

The report found that students who used Artificial Intelligence for specific schoolwork tasks were outperformed by those who did not use AI.

Using Artificial Intelligence for Bible study is problematic

Speaking of AI, the Barna Group reports a rising concern about Artificial Intelligence misinterpreting Scripture. 

Seventy-four percent of U.S. adults are concerned about this. That figure rises to 83 percent among practicing Christians and 94 percent among pastors.

When Artificial Intelligence is asked about theological disagreements, 60 percent of pastors say it should show all major interpretations, but not tell which is best. Meanwhile, practicing Christians are divided.

Twenty-six percent say that Artificial Intelligence should show the major interpretations and tell which is best. Twenty-percent say it should only show the most widely agreed-upon interpretation. And 19 percent say AI should avoid interpreting these parts of theology. 

105-year-old woman thanks God for her life

And finally, a Texas woman is giving thanks to God after turning 105.

Blynda Vidock was born in 1921. She celebrated her birthday this year surrounded by five generations of her family.

VIDOCK: “I don't really have anything to do with it. The good Lord put me here for so many years. It's His life through me. I've always been very athletic, played tennis and swam all my life. Ate good food, which I preach to my kids, and they still eat junk food. (someone nearby laughs) And my grandkids and my great grands.”

The 105-year-old also said, “I wonder every day when I wake up in the morning, 'This is another day, Lord, why am I here?' Every day is a blessing!”

Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “Through the LORD's mercies, we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!”

New Pakistani law prohibits marriage to girls under 18

The Lahore High Court in Pakistan has ruled that anybody living in a marital relationship with a girl under 18 will constitute child abuse even if the minor offers so-called “consent.”

The ruling is intended to protect minority girls, especially Christians, from forced religious conversions and sexual abuse in forced marriages to Muslim men.

The decision comes after the passage of the Punjab Child Marriage Restraint Act 2026. This is a welcome decision after court proceedings with Maria Shahbaz — a 13-year-old Christian girl who was kidnapped in Lahore a year ago, and was forcibly married to a 30-year-old Muslim man. 

According to Open Doors, Pakistan is the 8th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians.

Orthodox U.S. Jew harassed for hosting prayer group in home

Here in the United States there’s another religious persecution case.

Back in 2021, Daniel Grand, an Orthodox Jewish homeowner in Cleveland, Ohio, emailed a group of friends, inviting them to his home on Saturdays for prayer.

Apparently, he didn’t want to walk to the local synagogue since Orthodox Jews are not allowed to drive on the Sabbath. Somehow Daniel's email made it to a city official, and he was told to “cease and desist,” unless he first obtained a “special use permit.” The city officials dubbed his home “an illegal synagogue.” Thankfully, Alliance Defending Freedom has taken up the case.

Incredibly, the attorneys noted that, according to the city, “The only way for Daniel Grand to pray with friends at his home [is] to convert his home to a commercial space and move his family.”

Conservative German party won 44 percent of seats in local election

The Alternative for Germany Party won 44 percent of the seats in their local election in the state of Saxony-Anholt over the weekend, reports CBS News. That’s the first time a nationalist, anti-immigration party has gained this much political ground since World War II.

The Alternative for Germany Party is advocating for the deportation of immigrants — a position that is widely rejected in the rest of Germany right now. Twenty percent of Germans are foreign-born today. Nine years ago, that was 12 percent.

The birth rate for German citizens is 1.2, whereas the current birth rate for foreign citizens living in Germany is 1.8. At this birth rate, the population of German citizens, without the benefit of immigration, would decrease from 71 million to 30 million in 50 years.

With or without the Alternative for Germany Party, Germany is dying.

Brazilian presidential election: Luiz da Silva vs. Flavio Bolsonaro

The Brazilian presidential elections are approaching. The sitting president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will face off against conservative Senator Flavio Bolsonaro. 

Flavio is the son of Brazil’s previous president, Jair Bolsonaro, who has been imprisoned by rival parties in the country. Polls indicate a tightening in the race — which may head into a runoff.

Several South American countries have seen a shift to the right of center since U.S. President Donald Trump took office in January 2025. 

Canadian welcome males, pretending to be females, in women’s prisons

The Canadian government is reiterating its support for males, pretending to be females, being housed in women’s prisons.

This comes after the government was challenged by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, which contested the ruling that men could invade women's prisons upon request.

According to the Canadian government’s Statement of Defense, “The Directive is neutral in purpose, applies uniformly to all persons subject to it, and does not subject cisgender women inmates to differential treatment based on a protected ground or immutable characteristic.”

However, Attorney Chris Fleury pointed out, “Female inmates are being exposed to real risks and real harm. This case is about protecting their safety, dignity, and constitutional rights.” 

The Scriptures refer to cultural degradation. In 1 Kings 14:24, the Bible says, “And there were also perverted persons in the land. They did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.”

Trump drafts plan to pay at-home parents $9,000 per child

The Trump administration is looking at applying a $9,000 per child subsidy to stay-at-home parents that would typically go to childcare for low-income working moms, reports NewsNation.

The New York Times noted that the plan would create what could become the first federal grant program to directly compensate parents for staying at home to raise their children.

This would be in addition to the current $2,200 per child tax credit available to families earning less than $400,000 per year. 2 percent of Jewish Americans now identify as Christians

Recent Pew Research data finds that 2 percent of adults raised in the Jewish religion here in the United States now identify as Christians. Additionally, 17 percent identify as non-affiliated — or just secularists.  

On the other hand, the move towards secularism seems to be one way in which ethnic Jews are moving towards Christianity. An earlier survey found that 19 percent of those of ethnic Jewish background now claim the Christian faith.

Dutch race car driver saves fellow driver after fiery crash And finally, a Dutchman race car driver, Loek Hartog, saved the life of a fellow British driver during the China GT Championship race in Shanghai over the weekend, reports People Magazine. 

Loek pulled over, jumped out of his car, and took a fire extinguisher to the burning Ferrari, before pulling Ollie Millroy, a British man, out of the conflagration.

HARTOG: “What I saw was a huge fireball ahead, and I knew that whoever was in the car would not be able to carry himself out. So, I knew that I had to stop. That's basically pure intuition to get there as soon as possible inside. There was so much fire that, in first instance, I wasn't able to get to him.

“But when I ran around the car to see if I could get him out that side, it was not possible. I saw that he didn't move, so I knew that he was either disoriented or not in a position to get himself out. So, I had a fire extinguisher nearby, so I could get the fire down a bit. I got him out, but it was a very scary minute.”

Ollie suffered six broken ribs, a broken collar bone, fractures to his hands, and a bruised lung.

The Good Morning Britain co-host said this.

INTERVIEWER: “When we see the fireball, which we've been showing on our screen, you just told us that you assessed the situation. You couldn't get in. You've got a fire extinguisher to go back to try and get him out. Do you have any training? Are there any procedures?”

HARTOG:  “No.”

INTERVIEWER: “Couldn't the car have blown up with the petrol, ignited at that moment? I mean, isn't what you did incredibly dangerous for you and reckless?”

HARTOG: “It was. For sure, it crossed my mind for five seconds. But it was just more important to get him out as soon as possible.” From his hospital bed, Ollie Millroy wrote, “I am still alive tonight, entirely thanks to one man. There were no fire marshals or fire crews in sight. … He risked his own life to get me out of the car. I don’t remember anything between 30 seconds before the crash and 1 hour after it, but I will remember his incredible act of bravery for the rest of my life. One day I will tell our three kids this story and Loek will be the biggest superhero in history in their eyes too.”

In John 15:13, Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Elderly Chinese pastor still missing

A 73-year-old Chinese pastor, who suffers from serious cardiovascular issues, is still missing months after Chinese Communist authorities arrested him at his home in March, reports International Christian Concern.

Pastor Wang Sanyuan is the pastor of Chanchunli Church in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province in eastern China. As the influential leader of a government-registered church with 500 regular attendees, his arrest shocked his community. 

No one knows where Wang was taken — not even his wife and children. A church statement said, “The family has nowhere to turn with their complaints and is pushed to the point of desperation.” 

One local pastor said, “I believe the authorities are now settling old scores.” 

In 2009, despite protests from the congregants, the church building was demolished by Communist authorities to make room for a shopping mall. Believers still protested, pitching their tents on the property. They were met with a force of more than 200 police, who stormed through their tents and injured 27 people. Through it all, Wang had encouraged his congregation to stand strong in their faith, according to ChinaAid.

Pastor Wang, like those described in Hebrews 11:16, is a great man of faith.  Like our ancient Biblical heroes, Pastor Wang longs for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called his God, for the Lord has prepared a city for Pastor Wang and all who name Jesus as the Christ.

US strikes three Iranian oil tankers after Iran’s attack on US ships

U.S. forces struck three Iranian oil tankers on September 5th including one off the coast of Kharg Island, near Iran's key oil export hub, reports Reuters.

The strikes were carried out ‌after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy ships, according to Central Command.

Admiral Brad Cooper, head of U.S. Central Command, said, "Let the message ‌to the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost — taking out three of ​yours.”

Lindsay Clancy’s mistrial on three murder charges

Lindsay Clancy’s six-week-long triple-murder trial ended in a mistrial in Massachusetts on September 4th after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict, reports NBC News.

The jury weighing the 36-year-old’s fate was sent back twice to deliberate but said that “with a heavy heart” it was ultimately unable to reach a verdict after seven days of deliberations.

With the deadlock, Judge William Sullivan told the court he would declare a mistrial in the case, prompting Clancy’s 73-year-old defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, to announce his intent to appeal to Massachusetts’ top court, an effort which ultimately failed.

The jury was tasked with determining whether Clancy was criminally responsible in the 2023 deaths of her three young children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, 3, and 8-month-old Callan — or whether she was not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility because of mental illness. Prosecutors alleged Clancy strangled the children with exercise bands before attempting suicide by jumping from a second-story window which left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair.

Steven Watercotte, a defense attorney who practices in Missouri and Illinois, explained what will happen next.

WATERCOTTE: “A mistrial is basically going to put this trial back to square one, as if it didn't happen. A jury has to be unanimous in their verdict, meaning all 12 jurors have to either decide on guilty or not guilty. When a jury does not come to a unanimous verdict, it results in a mistrial, a mistrial by way of a hung jury.

“What this means for the defense and the prosecution in the Clancy case is that you're back to square one. The case and the charges are still pending against the defendant Lindsey Clancy.

“However, they will pick a new trial date. They will empanel new jurors. That's the important part. This jury's service is done. The jurors in this case that sat for this trial will no longer be serving.”

Sadly, even if Lindsay Clancy is found guilty in the next trial of murdering her own three children, Massachusetts has rejected God’s standard altogether. Genesis 9:6 states, "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in His own image."

Feminist Gloria Steinem rejected God’s design

And finally, glowing obituaries are pouring in after the September 2nd death of feminist icon Gloria Steinem, the founder of Ms. Magazine. The Associated Press called her “a potent voice of U.S. feminism,” and the Washington Post heralded her as the “lodestar of the modern women’s movement.”

Not surprisingly, Leftist women of today -- Hillary Clinton, Jill Biden, Meghan Markle, and Lena Dunham – all took to social media to feature pictures of themselves with Steinem.

But, if you have a Christian worldview, Steinem represented one thing: a rejection of God’s divine design. She told women they did not need God, they did not need a husband, and they certainly did not need children.

Steinem famously declared:

• “A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.” and
• “A gender-equal society would be one where the word ‘gender’ does not exist.”

In Matthew 19:4, Jesus asked, “Haven’t you read that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’?”

Carrie Gress, founder of the online women’s magazine Theology of Home, wrote, “Gloria Steinem may have been the first to say publicly that a child would have ruined her life as she reflected on her abortion while a waitress in London, awaiting a visa to work in India.” Steinem said, “My life would’ve stopped there.”

Gloria promoted the feminist notion that men are contemptible — and women need to become just like them.

To fully understand the roots of Steinem’s feminism, Carrie Gress noted that Steinem’s father was “a traveling salesman, gone most of the time while providing very little financially or emotionally. Young Gloria was left for months at a time to care for her mentally ill and bedridden mother — truly something no child should be left to do. She adopted feminism as a kind of bubble wrap against any kind of vulnerability that comes with being a female.”

STEINEM: “Since a lot of us had mothers who were driven crazy by society, or who just couldn't be powerful through no fault of theirs, the society wouldn't let them be powerful. In some sense, we were motherless. What the women's movement has done is to allow women to become each other's mothers, and to support and model and hope, and praise, and love each other enough so that we can begin to repair the early damage.”

As a result of Steinem’s feminism, only 35% of women under 25 today have a favorable view of men, according to The New Statesman. And, as we documented on The Worldview’s September 4th newscast, the West faces a birth dearth that threatens us on a civilizational level.  

Gress concluded, “Feminism has slowly corroded civilization from the inside out. Steinem is no heroine.” Indeed, she spat in the face of Almighty God.

Proverbs 31:30 captures the Biblical picture of what is admirable in a woman. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”

Radical Hindus tear apart house of Christians in India

More disturbing persecution news against Christians in India.

We are just now learning about what happened in early July to a Christian family in Chhattisgarh State.

After the believers refused to participate in a Hindu reconversion ceremony called Ghar Wapsi, a radical Hindu mob tore down the roof of the family’s home, leaving seven people exposed to heavy monsoon rains and unable to live safely in the structure, reports International Christian Concern. 

Around 8:00 a.m. on July 2nd, a group of nearly 100 anti-Christian activists surrounded the home of “Kamal Sinha” to force him to undergo Ghar Wapsi, a reconversion ceremony back to Hinduism. When Sinha refused, tensions escalated, and the mob climbed onto the roof and ripped it apart. 

The man explained, “All of our harvested crops were drenched in the rainwater after the roof was destroyed.”

The leader of the mob, named Dhruv, confronted Sinha, demanding that he and his family renounce Christianity.  

He said, “By becoming Christians, you have polluted the village and defiled our gods and goddesses. You should not live here. You do not worship our deities, do not offer coconuts or other offerings, and do not accept the prasad given to our gods. And you follow another religion and another God. Therefore, leave the village. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to live here. We will stop your farming, demolish your house, and drive your entire family out.” 

As a result of the attack and ongoing pressure, Sinha’s family was forced to shut down their small grocery shop. The mob also cut off the water and electricity connections to the Christian family’s house. 

Just this year, hundreds of Christian families in Chhattisgarh, India have become homeless, building temporary shelters in the nearby forest.

Please pray that God’s grace would be sufficient for these hurting believers and God’s power would be made perfect in their weakness, as 2 Corinthians 12:9 articulates.

192 House Democrats refused to disavow socialism

On September 1st, almost every House Democrat voted against a congressional resolution disavowing socialism and calling for the enactment of President Trump’s election security bill known as the SAVE America Act, reports the New York Post.

The non-binding resolution, introduced by Republican Congressman Jeff Crank of Colorado, asked lawmakers to condemn and denounce “socialism in all its forms,” including the increasingly influential Democratic Socialists of America movement, and oppose the implementation of socialist policies in the United States. 

The resolution passed in a 220-192 vote, with 192 Democrats opposing the measure.  

Only eight Democrats voted with all the Republicans in support of the resolution. They included Representatives Kathy Castor of Florida, Henry Cuellar of Texas, Don Davis of North Carolina, Jared Golden of Maine, Vicente Gonzalez of Texas, Marie Perez of Washington, Darren Soto of Florida, and Gabe Vasquez of New Mexico.

The resolution also called Congress to:

• “Reaffirm its support for free, fair and secure elections.
• “Reiterate that American elections are for American citizens only.
• “Recommit itself to upholding the Constitution of the United States.
• “Call for the enactment of the SAVE America Act to ensure election security, increase public confidence in America’s voting system, and close loopholes in order to prevent noncitizens from voting in elections.”

Call your two senators at 202-224-3121, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, and ask them to vote for the SAVE America Act which will ensure that only U.S. citizens can vote in the elections.  Tell the Capitol Switchboard operator to patch you through in two separate calls and wait for the option to leave a voicemail message on an issue of concern.

ICE looking to create national database of voters

In a bid to tackle voter fraud, Immigration and Customs Enforcement is preparing to award a contract worth up to $5 million to a company that will create a national database of voters.

ICE first explained what the contract would entail in a document published last week. The document said, “The purpose … is for the handling and secure delivery of publicly available voter registration files and voter history files to support Homeland Security Investigations fraud detection and data segmentation activities.”

ICE says that the agency will initially provide a list of specific states it wants to acquire public voter registration files from, though the successful contractor will need to have the capability to obtain data from all 50 states.

America’s declining fertility rate

In an article entitled “What can we do about low fertility rates?”, World Magazine reported that American fertility has dropped dramatically.

Among 1,000 women of childbearing age, they will only have 1,600 children.  That’s well under the 2,100 children needed to hold a population steady.

In its 2026 State of Fertility Report called “The Demographic Dead End,” the Institute for Family Studies wrote, “The evidence suggests the explanation for this may be more cultural than financial. After all, there are identifiable differences between those who are having children and those who are not.”

Among Americans under 30, regular churchgoers want three children and those who never attend church want about two.

Psalm 127:3 declares, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.”

Minnesota: 1 person killed, 5 people injured including 2 police officers

Authorities confirmed that at least one person was killed during Wednesday’s shooting in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, reports One America News.

On Wednesday afternoon, September 2nd, five individuals were wounded, including two police officers near the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Saturday Evening Post to cease publication

And finally, after 205 years, the Saturday Evening Post, the famed magazine that printed its first issues on Ben Franklin’s Old City printing press and whose Norman Rockwell covers defined the optics of quintessential 20th-century Americana, will print its last issue early next year, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.

According to the Mystic Museum of Art, Rockwell’s earnest and unpretentious attitude to his work also characterized his subject matter.

He said, “I showed the America I knew and observed to others who might not have noticed.”

Rockwell loved looking at the people around him: middle class children, families, and adults, as they played, worked, visited a doctor, or fixed a flat tire. He had an eye for everyday settings.

By turns humorous and deeply moving, Rockwell’s subjects found an enthusiastic public. According to The Saturday Evening Post, his work helped raise its subscription base to 6,900,000 nationwide by 1960.

Sadly, subscribers received a letter in the September issue, which arrived in mailboxes this week, stating that the January/February 2027 issue of The Saturday Evening Post will be the publication’s last printed edition. A piece of America has died.

However, it will continue to publish online.

Iranian Muslim leaders killed 33 Christian ministers recently

Iranian authorities have killed at least 33 Christian ministers in the past few months.

The pastors were serving with Iran Alive Ministries, a Texas-based organization that supports house churches in the country. Authorities also arrested 131 Christians associated with the organization. Some of them are now on death row. 

Despite this persecution, the ministry reports 5,849 Muslims have converted to Christianity this year. Iran Alive founder Hormoz Shariat  told the Baptist Press, “Christian prisoners consider prison as their place of ministry and they are leading many people to Christ.”

The Apostle Paul was also a witness in prison. Acts 16:25 says, “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.”

Iran-American War reaches sixth month

The war between Iran and the United States continued into its six month last week.

The United States carried out strikes on Iran’s southern coast on Tuesday. Iran fired on U.S. bases in the region. It’s the biggest exchange between the two countries since July, according to Reuters. 

Despite ongoing conflict, oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz have rebounded to about two-thirds of pre-war levels. 

Christian convert from Iran received asylum in Canada

A Christian convert from Iran recently received asylum in Canada after being deported from the U.S.

Twenty-seven-year old Artemis Ghasemzadeh entered America in 2024. If returned to Iran, she would face extreme persecution.

International Christian Concern noted, “Refugees fleeing religious persecution have traditionally been granted asylum on American soil, but they faced more stringent border and refugee laws under the Trump administration. Ghasemzadeh pursued asylum in Canada after lawyers advised her that the United States was unlikely to allow her to return.” 

Litigation over the Abortion Kill Pill delated until after midterms

Litigation in the U.S. over the abortion kill pill is being delayed until after the midterm elections in November. 

The case began last December. Florida and Texas challenged the original approval of the abortion drug mifepristone in 2000 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. 

However, a federal judge paused the lawsuit on Sunday until at least December 1. If successful, the lawsuit would make the abortion drug unavailable in all states.

Florida removing all Flock cameras

Florida is removing all Flock cameras from state roads. Flock cameras automatically read license plates and capture vehicle data for law enforcement, neighborhoods, and businesses.

The Florida Department of Transportation recently revoked permits for license plate readers, including Flock cameras along highways. The cameras are the subject of privacy concerns across the nation, especially alleged misuse of the cameras by police officers.

DESANTIS: “I'm all about having law enforcement have tools to be able to hold criminals accountable. I think that's important that we do that. No one's been stronger on law enforcement than me. But I don't want to have this become a surveillance state.”

American church attendance up

Churches are seeing more people attend worship services in recent years.

A new survey from Lifeway Research found 54 percent of U.S. Protestant pastors report a growing church. Thirty-percent report a plateaued church. And 16 percent report a declining church. 

Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research, noted, “Given the trajectory of many churches before COVID, we expected to see more pastors reporting declines in attendance. However, we continue to see a majority of pastors saying their attendance is higher than two years ago.”

Archeological proof that Christ’s tomb in garden

And finally, recent archaeological discoveries in Jerusalem support biblical accounts.

Francesca Stasolla is an archaeology professor at the Sapienza University of Rome. Last year, she led an excavation focused on the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The site is believed to be the location of Jesus’ crucifixion and the empty tomb.

The area was used as a stone quarry before Roman occupation. Later it was used for agriculture and tombs. The archeological effort discovered ancient seeds and pollen there. Stasolla told Fox News Digital that the pollen and seeds date to “between the use of the quarry and the Roman age, when the area had a funerary use”, meaning it was used for burying the dead.

This aligns with the New Testament. John 19:41 says, “Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.”

Another state in India passed anti-conversion law

India’s state of Maharashtra became the 13th in the country to enact an “anti-conversion” law last week. It’s the country’s second-most populous state.

This has prompted thousands of churches in the area to have worshippers sign a form. The form simply says the person is attending freely and not under coercion. 

India’s “anti-conversion” laws are often used to target Christians. Hindu nationalists have attacked churches in Maharashtra 11 times in the last six months.

India is ranked 12th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most dangerous places to be a Christian. 

In John 15:18-19, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet, because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Australia’s new assisted suicide law

ABC News Australia reports Australia’s Northern Territory passed a bill legalizing assisted suicide last week.

The territory was the first in the world to legalize voluntary euthanasia in the 1990s. Australia’s federal government overturned the law within a couple years. But in 2022, the government reversed its decision, allowing the territory to legalize assisted suicide once again. 

Now, all states and territories in Australia allow for this form of killing. Over 7,200 people have died this way in the country since 2019.

Trump’s Venezuelan oil deal gives access to 65 billion barrels

The Trump administration announced a major oil deal with Venezuela on Friday. 

The deal would give the United States access to 17 oil fields in Venezuela with proven reserves of 65 billion barrels of oil. That’s about 20 percent of the country’s reserves. By comparison, the U.S. has 46 billion barrels of proven oil reserves. 

President Donald Trump hopes the deal will lower gas prices for Americans. However, analysts suggest that the deal will not relieve prices in the short-term. 

Homeland Security investigates voter fraud in 9 states

CNN reports that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is investigating voter fraud in nine states ahead of the midterm elections in November.

These states include California, Connecticut, Georgia, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Wisconsin.

The Trump administration is pushing for states to phase out certain electronic voting systems and move to paper ballots. The administration has threatened to withhold significant homeland security funds from states that do not adopt such election changes. 

ICE arrested 51,000 immigration arrests in July

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement made 51,000 immigration arrests in July.

That’s up from 43,000 arrests in June. Both months set records for the agency. 

Nearly 20,000 of July’s arrests were in Texas and Florida. Both states have been very cooperative with the Trump administration’s mass deportation efforts. 

Gallup poll: Americans supportive of marriage if couple has kids

A new Gallup poll found that more Americans are supportive of marriage when children are involved.

Thirty-nine percent of U.S. adults say it is very important for a couple to be legally married if they have a child together. That’s up from 29 percent in 2020. However, it’s down from 49 percent in 2006.

Gallup noted, “Weekly church attendees show one of the largest increases since 2020 in the belief that couples, who have a child together, should be married, up 24 points, from 41% to 65%.”

Bible societies distributed 148 million Scriptures in 2025

And finally, the United Bible Societies distributed over 148 million printed Scriptures in 2025. 

The top countries for Bible distribution last year were Brazil, China, India, Nigeria, and the Philippines. 

Rev. Dirk Gevers, Secretary General of the United Bibles Societies, said, “While printed Scriptures continue to reach hundreds of millions of people each year, digital engagement is growing, opening new opportunities to connect with the Bible through mobile devices and online platforms.”

This year is the organization’s 80th anniversary. Since 1946, the Bible society has distributed 25 billion Scriptures, including 1.1 billion complete Bibles. 

Malachi 1:11 says, “From the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; in every place incense shall be offered to My name, and a pure offering; for My name shall be great among the nations.”

Russia shot down 239 Ukrainian drones

The Russian-Ukrainian War is not relenting.

Russia fired almost 1,500 drones into Ukraine over the last four days. Meanwhile, Russia reportedly shot down 239 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory over the last day.

Both countries are targeting food distribution and energy infrastructure over a long and drawn out conflict.

Russia considers nuclear weapons against Ukraine

A leader of the Russian legislature and the country’s nationalist party, Alexis Zhuvraflev, announced on Sunday that the use of nuclear weapons in the war is now under consideration. In his words, “If necessary, we are obliged to use [tactical nuclear weapons]. ... If we need to strike, we will strike.”

Russian President Putin appears increasingly frustrated with the progress of the war. A source informed The Economist that Putin is afraid “they will hang me” if war objectives are not accomplished.

For greater context, the Kyiv Post quoted U.S. CIA Director John Ratcliffe as saying the life expectancy of a Russian soldier on the front line was “less than 35 minutes.” He added that Moscow had captured only 1% of Ukraine’s total territory during the previous 18 months.

How Chinese manufacturing and trade surplus is a military advantage

China’s manufacturing productive capacity is on the increase — all told, about double that of the United States.  

In 2025, China made 960.8 million metric tons of crude steel versus only 82 million tons in the United States. China produces three times the number of automobiles compared to the U.S. And China’s machine-tool production is six-fold that of the United States.

China’s trade surplus is hitting $1 trillion this year while America’s trade deficit is going the other direction — now an annual rate of $900 billion.  Indeed, China's enormous manufacturing base becomes one of its greatest military strategic advantages.

Politician in Alberta, Canada upset about tariff war with America

Alberta, Canada Premier Danielle Smith shared her thoughts on the ongoing trade war between Canada and the United States.

SMITH: “Tariffs and counter-tariffs are harmful to both countries involved. They disrupt businesses, threaten jobs, drive up inflation, decrease productivity, and strain relationships between allies.

“What is happening between Canada and the United States right now is tragic, unjustified, and wholly unnecessary to what has been one of the largest and most successful trading relationships in world history.”

Smith went on to push back against suggested oil tariffs against the United States.

SMITH: “I cannot think of a more disastrous policy decision than cutting off or taxing Alberta's oil to the United States. Doing so would absolutely devastate the Canadian economy. It would not only extinguish the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of Albertans, it would economically hobble our friends and neighbors in other provinces to the east.”

Flash flood in Nepal killed 955; 4,471 people are missing The death toll from flash flooding in Nepal has reached 955, with another 4,471 people missing as of today, reports the French News Agency. (We have a link to the eye-opening video from CBS Evening News in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com)

This flash flood has shaped up to be the worst disaster in Nepal since the earthquake of 2015 which killed around 9,000 people. It may also be the worst flash flood disaster in recorded history — topping the Peruvian glacial lake outburst of 1941. 

American economy is lagging

America’s golden age hasn’t quite arrived yet.  

The U.S. economy is lagging — registering the lowest economic output since 2020, and then again back in 2009. The latest reading on the Gross Domestic Product from the second quarter puts annual output at 1.47%.  Removing the contributions from Artificial Intelligence, the annual output is an anemic 0.9%.

Economists have pointed out that the bang for the buck from federal deficits is not working like it used to work. In the 1990s, the Keynesian approach yielded 3.1% growth with 2.1% deficits. During the 2000s, this decreased to 1.9% growth with 2.3% deficits. During the 2010s, this decreased to only 2.4% growth with 4.8% deficits. And, over the last five years, only 2.4% growth with 8% deficits.

Over the last three decades, the United States has moved from periods of strong economic growth with little or no federal deficit to historically large peacetime deficits accompanying substantially slower economic growth.

Deuteronomy 15:5b-6 repels this debt in these words: “Carefully obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe with care all these commandments which I command you today.  For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.”

New Jersey bans prayer and protests at abortion mills

New Jersey Democratic Governor Rebecca Sherrill has signed a bill into law which would ban prayer and protests outside of abortion mills.

The law specifically prevents an individual from attempting to “injure, threaten, intimidate, or physically block patients or providers…to interfere with reproductive healthcare services.”

Shawn Carney, CEO of 40 Days for Life, argued, “Prayer is not a crime. Holding a sign is not intimidation. Offering a woman help is not coercion. This law is designed to scare people of faith off the sidewalks outside abortion facilities by creating the constant threat of prosecution and costly lawsuits.” 

Proverbs 31:8-9 exhorts all of us to “Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.”

11,000 Americans infected by lettuce parasite

That cyclosporiasis outbreak, attributed to Taylor Farms de Mexico, has now infected over 11,000 Americans across 20 states, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  

Fox Business reports a 30% decrease in lettuce sales across the country. The culprit is a single-celled parasite that produces stomach cramps, nausea, and fatigue.

Texas looks to end no-fault divorce

The state of Texas is looking to end no-fault divorce. 

In its legislative priorities for 2026-2028, the Texas GOP State Convention lists protecting kids as a major priority, specifically mentioning the promotion of marriage, parental rights, the end of homosexual adoptions, and the end of no-fault divorce.

The document further explained, “When a marriage breaks down, family law proceedings should respect 50/50 equal parenting presumptions in the best interest of children.” 

Other priorities for the Texas GOP include border security, banning taxpayer-funded lobbying, and equal protection for the unborn. 

New NASA telescope 100 times more powerful than Hubble telescope

And finally, on Sunday, August 30th at 7:26am Eastern Time, NASA launched a rocket to place the next generation telescope into our Solar System from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The Nancy Grace Roman telescope, named after NASA's first chief of astronomy Nancy Grace Roman, is 100 times more powerful than both the James Webb telescope and the Hubble space telescope. It will take about 100 days to reach its destination — about one million miles from Earth.

That’s equal to the distance of orbiting the Earth’s circumference of 24,900 miles 40 times over.

Burmese military killed pastor and another believer

The Burma Research Institute has confirmed that Rev. William, who used no last name, and another Chin Christian, Nam Ceu, were extrajudicially murdered on June 4th by the Burmese military dictatorship in Myanmar, reports International Christian Concern. 

Rev. William had pastored the Chungcung Baptist Church in Chin State for more than 25 years. He was arrested with Ceu in May and had been detained by the military since then.

Sources told the Burma Research Institute that Rev. William and Nam Ceu were killed for allegedly supporting the Hakha Chinland Defense Force, which is fighting against the Burmese military dictatorship.

Psalm 116:15 says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."

Zo Tum Hmung, President of the Burma Research Institute, said, “We call the Trump administration to protect the persecuted Christians in Burma.”

Democrat James Talarico: Muslims and Christians worship same God

James Talarico, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senator in Texas who is running against Republican Ken Paxton, the current Texas Attorney General, falsely claimed that Muslims worship the same God as Jews and Christians.

TALARICO: “Christians and Muslims and Jews all worship the same God. Muslims love Jesus. They love Moses and Abraham. We are all branches on the same tree as the Abrahamic faiths. 

“So. it's heartbreaking to watch extremists, whether they are Christian nationalists or whether they're the Taliban or al-Qaeda, perverting these beautiful traditions, that have so much in common, to attack others and consolidate their own power.”

There are three primary differences between Christianity and Islam.

First, regarding the nature of God, Christians teach that God is the Trinity—one God existing in three co-equal, co-eternal persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19) By contrast, Islam completely rejects the Trinity.

Second, Christians believe that Jesus is the divine Son of God and God incarnate who physically died on the cross for the atonement of the sins of the elect and rose from the dead. (John 1:1,14) By contrast, while Islam reveres Jesus as a major, virgin-born prophet and messenger of God, it explicitly denies His divinity, crucifixion, and resurrection.

And third, Christianity teaches that salvation is a free gift of grace received through personal faith in the finished sacrificial work of Jesus Christ, rather than by human effort. (Ephesians 2:8-9) By contrast, Islam teaches that salvation depends on total submission to Allah’s will, adherence to the Five Pillars of Islam, and the final judgment of one's deeds.

Therefore, Muslims and Christians clearly do not worship the same God.

Georgia Democrat distanced himself from antisemitic leftist

Georgia Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff has offered sharp criticism of President Donald Trump which generated buzz about Ossoff potentially running for president in 2028.  

That, in turn, has attracted some left-wing figures who have lauded his messaging like left-wing streamer Hasan Piker, who told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in April that he was “intrigued” by Ossoff.

There are two developments of note. 

First, Ossoff, whose father is Jewish, is facing criticism from some of Georgia’s local Jewish community over his votes to block certain arms sales to Israel.

Second, Senator Ossoff has distanced himself from Hasan Piker over recent comments that many interpreted as justifying threats to American Jews,  reports the Jewish Telegraph Agency.  

Speaking on a Twitch livestream on August 20th, Piker said this.

PIKER: “If Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone’s going to come around and take action. Not against the state of Israel, mind you, but against American Jews.”

Last Thursday, according to Fox News, an Ossoff spokesman said that the senator “unreservedly rejects reckless and dangerous rhetoric suggesting that policy advocacy invites violence against the Jewish community or any community.”

In Genesis 12:3, God said, “I will make [Israel] into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on Earth will be blessed through you.”

Undercover video exposes GOP Sen. Murkowski on SAVE Act

And finally, liberal Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska stood on the Senate floor and painted a grim picture of the supposed damage the SAVE America Act, or the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, would do in her home state. 

This is the bill that would ensure that American citizens — and only American citizens — should decide American elections. It would simply require:

• A valid ID before registering to vote in a federal election.
• Proof of citizenship.
• No Mail-in Ballots (except for illness, disability, military, or travel).

MURKOWSKI: “What we're talking about right now is just the registration to vote. So, you're in Unalaska -- say you're a fisherman or a teacher -- the flight to Anchorage, because this is where you're going to have to go -- you're going to have to go into Anchorage: 800 air miles, $1,100 per seat, if you can maybe get on a charter.”

James O’Keefe, an undercover journalist with the O’Keefe Media Group and the Justice League, flew to Unalaska to find out firsthand if Senator Murkowski’s claim was true.

O'KEEFE: “I'm James O'Keefe, and I'm in the middle of absolutely nowhere, about 800 miles off the coast of Alaska, on a remote island in the Aleutian Islands.

“Now, Senator Lisa Murkowski says that one of the reasons she's not going to pass the SAVE Act is because of people that live here on this island of Unalaska. 

“Senator Murkowski saying if the SAVE Act passes, online registration goes away, and the residents here, the few thousand people that live here, are going to have to fly 800 miles and spend thousands of dollars to go to Anchorage to take care of their business. 

“But all the people we spoke with here, they all said that that's wrong, including the post office, the library, the city clerk, the DMV. We didn't know there was a DMV here. Everyone we spoke to here said they're able to register to vote here. They're able to prove citizenship by going to the library. 

“So, Senator Murkowski says, ‘If you're a fisherman in Unalaska, the closest election office is 800 miles away; it would cost $1,500. You would also need a hotel, cabs, and food while in Anchorage. But the librarian just told us differently.”

Here is the portion of the undercover investigation with a female undercover agent, who accompanied O’Keefe, to the library in Unalaska.

UNDERCOVER FEMALE AGENT: “Just wanted to learn a little bit more about the process to get an ID. “

LIBRARIAN: “We do passports here.”

UNDERCOVER AGENT: “Oh, you do passports here.”

UNDERCOVER O’KEEFE: “Mmm.”

UNDERCOVER FEMALE AGENT:  “That's good to know, though, that if somebody wants to confirm their citizenship, they can do it here.”

UNDERCOVER O’KEEFE: “To get the Alaska ID, do you get it here or back in Anchorage?”

LIBRARIAN: “Oh no, here. The DMV should be the near the police station.”

UNDERCOVER O’KEEFE: “So, we don't have to go to Anchorage to get it.” 

LIBRARIAN: “No, no, no. As long as you have all the paperwork you need.” 

UNDERCOVER O’KEEFE: “But I read in the newspaper that the senator [Lisa Murkowski], said, ‘Oh, they're going to pass this SAVE Act, and everyone's got to go to Anchorage to get it.’”

LIBRARIAN: “I don't think so.”

UNDERCOVER O’KEEFE: “Oh no. Okay.”

Nigerian Christian farmers are being targeted by Fulani Muslims

For many Christian farmers in the Plateau State of Nigeria, traveling to their own farms has become dangerous, reports International Christian Concern.

Some have stopped going altogether. Others now move in groups, hoping that numbers will offer some protection. But for families who depend on agriculture for survival, abandoning their land is not an easy choice. 

The fear has grown following a series of attacks by armed men suspected to be Fulani Muslim militias which have targeted farmers traveling to and from their fields. 

On July 30, according to Christian leader Joseph Yonkpa, 60-year-old Christian farmer Bulus Turu was “attacked and macheted while returning from his farm.”  At least 27 people have been killed in ambushes, many of whom were Christian farmers traveling to their farms. 

Yohana Boh, a community leader, said, “We received early warning, but the Nigerian Army ignored it. We can’t sleep. We can’t farm. We’re calling for help.”

Flash flood in Nepal killed 360

The deadly flash flood in Nepal on August 26th has killed 360 people and left 1,400 missing including 90 Americans, reports Weather.com.

The flood was likely caused by a huge chunk of a glacier that broke off and temporarily dammed a river.  That may have led to the backed-up water surging downstream with enormous force a few hours later. In fact, water levels in rivers across the flood-affected region rose by as much as 29.5 feet in 30 minutes.

The U.S. State Department said it is not aware of any U.S. deaths, but three Americans have been rescued.

Hundreds have lost their homes across the Himalayan region, and officials reported large-scale damage to critical infrastructure, including hydropower dams, roads, buildings and bridges in the region.

US Patriot missile stocks in Europe are ‘beyond critical’ due to Iran war

An unnamed U.S. defense official in Europe and an unnamed NATO official told the Associated Press that the U.S. military is experiencing a “beyond critical” shortage of advanced missile interceptors in Europe largely driven by President Donald Trump’s war with Iran.

This raises concerns about vulnerabilities in NATO countries to a potential Russian attack.

The U.S. defense official said the most concerning shortfall involves Patriot missile interceptors, which can shoot down Russia’s high-speed ballistic missiles. The NATO official confirmed the low inventories of Patriots among American and NATO forces in Europe.

President Trump renames Lake Ontario to Lake America

On August 27th, President Donald Trump said he is renaming Lake Ontario to be known as “Lake America” in the United States as he escalates his trade war with Canada, reports the Associated Press.

The president signed an executive order directing the Interior Department to update the lake’s name in the U.S. geographic naming service.

Girl Scouts promotes Islam

The Girl Scouts organization in America already has plunged neck-deep into transgenderism and abortion, with ideologies that support such leftist agendas. Now, the group is jumping into Islam, reports WorldNetDaily.com.

An online report confirmed the Girls Scouts are offering "badges" that are earned by little girls when they visit mosques and learn the "Pillars of Islam." Not surprisingly, social media commenters were outraged.

Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk, tweeted, “Nothing says Girl Scouts of AMERICA like learning the pillars of Islam.” And another wrote, “Never buy Girl Scout cookies again.”

According to a new investigation by Natalie Winters, the White House correspondent for Steve Bannon’s War Room, she documented that, "Girl Scout troops across the U.S. are incorporating Islamic religious instruction, prayer and activities, [like wearing the hijab head covering and participating in the Ramadan fast] into scouting programs.”

Winters reported, "Girl Scouts Heart of Central California knew about the Sacramento Area League of Associated Muslims’ religious integration years earlier. The council's 2009 annual report said that four troops with 30 girls began …  [incorporating] Girl Scouting into the mosque's youth programming. It highlighted a Ramadan sleepover involving fasting and girls 'praying through the night.'"

The examples appear to involve individual troops and local councils rather than a nationwide requirement imposed on all Girl Scouts.

However, there is a "nationwide pattern of Girl Scout troops based at mosques incorporating Islamic prayer, Quranic instruction, and lessons on hijab into activities conducted under the Girl Scouts banner."

In Exodus 20:3, God said, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” And, to be sure, Allah, the Islamic god, is not the one true God.

Mom banned from school after protesting push of sexual perversion

And finally, an Oregon mother is suing Portland Public Schools for banning her from her children’s elementary school for protesting its promotion of homosexual transgender “pride,” reports LifeSiteNews.com.

The Oregonian reports that Allison Roberts, who has two children at Meriwether Lewis Elementary School, took issue with benches painted with “Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride” rainbow designs. She also objected to an assignment in which one of her kids was tasked with filling out an “identity flower” exercise including gender.

After a meeting with school officials to discuss her concerns, she began distributing letters about the situation outside the school, leading to a “heated exchange” with one parent. That led to a one-year trespass order keeping her off the grounds ostensibly for “threatening and intimidating members of the school community” with “harmful, unlawful and/or disruptive behavior.” As a result, Roberts was forced to miss one of her children’s graduations from elementary school.

Now, she is suing to reverse the trespass order and secure her rights to engage in free speech about her children’s education. 

Mrs. Roberts should prayerfully consider pulling her children out of the pro-perversion government schools and homeschool them instead.

Haitian gang members killed 50 people in church

Gang members attacked a church in Haiti on Sunday, killing nearly 50 people.

Displaced people were sheltering in the building of Church of the Ark of the New Covenant. The evangelical church is located near Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince. Up to 90 percent of the area is controlled by gangs. The gang members killed 47 people and injured another 22 people. 

Please pray for Christians in Haiti who face much of the widespread gang violence in the country. 

In John 10:10, Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

Germany first country to display Muslim prayer times on official signs

Evangelical Focus reports a German town became the first in the country to display Muslim prayer times on its official signs.

The municipality of Penzberg previously listed Sunday service times for the Catholic and Lutheran parishes in town. Signage now includes prayer times for the local mosque established in 1990.

Muslims with a migrant background make up about eight percent of Germany’s population, up from five percent in 2016.

New U.S. economic sanctions against Iran

The Trump administration announced aggressive economic sanctions against Iran on Monday. 

Operation Economic Outcast aims to cut Iran’s financial connections with the rest of the world. The sanctions will also affect any country doing business with the regime.

Facebook/Instagram pay $18 billion over addictive algorithms for kids

Meta Platforms agreed to pay up to $18 billion over the next decade in a settlement announced yesterday.

Nearly every U.S. state accused the social media company of designing its platforms to be addictive to children. The tech giant is being held accountable for the role its platforms played in undermining children’s mental health. These platforms include Facebook and Instagram. 

California will get the largest sum of $1.5 billion, but several other states will still collect hundreds of millions of dollars each over the decade. The money will be used to pay for legal fees, mental health care for children, after-school programs, and education about the risks of social media use.

According to the Associated Press, Meta will eliminate push notifications during weekday school hours and bring in “robust” age-assurance measures and “age-appropriate” content controls to prevent bullying and harmful material about eating disorders and self-harm.

The case also argued that Meta violated federal laws by routinely collecting data on children under 13 without their parents’ consent.

As part of the settlement, Meta agreed to limit teenagers’ use of Instagram and Facebook to a couple of hours a day.

1,235 assisted suicide deaths in California last year

The state of California reported 1,235 assisted suicide deaths last year.

The death toll is up nearly 150 percent over the past five years. 

The California End of Life Option Act allows adults, expected to live six months or less, to obtain life-ending drugs. The state has authorized the deaths of at least 6,758 people since the law went into effect in 2016.

3 California homeschoolers sue over prohibition from participation

Three homeschool families petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court last week after California excluded them from a state program.

Some of California’s tuition-free charter schools allow homeschool academy programs. However, families cannot use state funds from these charter schools for religious curriculum. 

In one case, the state rejected a grammar exercise simply because it used the sentence: “God sends the rain to help plants grow.” 

Acts 14:17 says God “did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from Heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”

Protestant churches are multigenerational

Most Protestant churches report being multigenerational. 

A survey from Lifeway Research found 91 percent of churchgoers agree their church has a good number of active members from all generations. Seventy-eight percent of pastors also agree. 

Being multigenerational was more frequently reported by pastors of larger churches, younger pastors, and evangelical pastors. 

Dolly Parton, who died at 80, championed a false gospel

Dolly Parton, the country singer, actress, and businesswoman, died peacefully at her home in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday. She was 80 years old.

Known as the Queen of Country, the singer-songwriter is among one of the best-selling music artists of all time.  She wrote and sang this song in 1974 which Whitney Houston would later famously cover. 

PARTON:

Parton grew up in a Pentecostal church and described herself as a person of faith. 

PARTON: “My grandpa was a preacher. So, my grandpa pastored this little church called the House of Prayer. He was a very positive, uplifting person. And I learned to love Jesus, and learned that Jesus loved me when I was a little bitty kid.

“And all those things that Mama used to say, you know, that through God all things are possible. I kept all those things kind of tucked away into my subconscious mind and in my heart. And those are the things that have helped me through the years. I never do anything that I don't pray about it, and I always ask God to lead me and to show me and direct me into what I'm doing.”

She was married to her husband Carl Thomas Dean for nearly 60 years until his death in 2025.

As a philanthropist, Parton supported children’s literacy and medical research. Sadly, she was also known as an advocate for unbiblical causes like homosexual behavior and faux homosexual marriage. 

Appearing with Larry King, she defended homosexuality.

KING: “Didn't you recently, though, throw support to the [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender] community?”

PARTON: “Oh, I've always encouraged, not encouraged. They've made me the poster child I think only because I'm so outspoken as far as just being accepting of people in general. 

“I do not believe that we should criticize and judge other people. I think we should be accepting and loving. We are all God's children. We are who we are, and we should allow, be allowed to be who we are.”

Kate Newman, a Christian YouTuber, objected to Parton’s bad theology, referencing John 1:12.

NEWMAN: “We are not all children of God, contrary to popular belief. We receive the Spirit of adoption from God when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and we are led by His Holy Spirit. But until then, we're actually all children of the devil.”

Larry King asked Dolly Parton this follow-up question.

KING: “Did any of the faith-based communities that deeply believe the other way take umbrage with you?”

PARTON: “Oh, absolutely.

KING: “They did?”

PARTON: “Oh, yes. I get it all the time. I keep saying, ‘Well, if you're the fine Christian that you think you are, why are you judging people? That's God's job. We're not God. We're not judges.’ You know, we're supposed to love one another. We're supposed to not judge. 

“If you're gay, you're gay. If you're straight, you're straight. And you should be allowed to be, you know, how how you are and who you are.”

In 2024, Ericka Andersen wrote a column for The Federalist entitled “There’s nothing loving about Dolly Parton’s false gospel.” She argued that, “Parton’s version of love, which includes condoning immoral sexual behavior  is unaligned with God’s vision for humanity. Like so many secularized spiritual leaders, Parton equates love with agreement, but the two are not reciprocal. Love doesn’t mean we must accept sinfulness as good to avoid hurting someone’s feelings.

“To be sure, the culture is on a constant witch hunt for those who would call homosexuality sinful. I understand wanting to avoid the avalanche of criticism, but calling sin out by name isn’t judgment. It’s adhering to Scripture.

“She’s right that all should be treated with love and kindness, but when we refuse to label sin a sin, we’re doing more harm than good.  The gospel of Dolly Parton is popular with the masses, but don’t bank your eternity on it.”

Leviticus 18:22 says, “Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable.”

Somalian Muslims attack mother of 8 for trusting Christ

Muslim extremists in Somalia, Africa attacked a mother of eight for converting from Islam to Christianity.

Sophia Ibrahim came to Christ in April 2022. Several Muslim men beat her unconscious after they found her attending a Bible study this month. She was discharged from the hospital last week. 

Ibrahim told Morning Star News, “I will continue serving [God] and making others know Him because of the everlasting life and the joy of knowing Christ.”  

Somalia is ranked second on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most dangerous countries worldwide to be a Christian. 

In Philippians 3:8, the Apostle Paul wrote, “Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.”

Bible app expands footprint into Latin America

The Bible app YouVersion is expanding its presence in Latin America.

YouVersion leaders met in Mexico City last week to partner with churches and ministries. Among Latin American countries, Mexico and Colombia have some of the highest levels of Bible app usage.

YouVersion CEO Bobby Gruenewald told Christian Daily International, “It took us 17 years to reach the first 1 billion devices. We believe the next billion will come in the next five years. There is a hunger for the Word of God at a global level.”  

2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.”

Update on Trump’s border wall

The Trump administration is continuing to build the wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

The New American reported, “According to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as of mid-August 2026, about 365 miles of primary border wall, 58 miles of replacement border wall, and 423 miles of secondary border wall either are now under construction or have been completed since U.S. President Donald Trump took office in January 2025.”

The Trump administration is seeking to build or finish 1,200 new miles of wall, as well as hundreds more miles of vehicle barriers and replacement wall.

Funding for the continued border project mostly comes from Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passed in 2025.

President Trump rejected trans ideology and affirmed parental rights

President Donald Trump addressed education at the White House on Monday as many students return to school this week. 

The president specifically called out transgender ideology in schools.

TRUMP: “Every public school in America is now on notice that if they tell a child that they are trapped in the wrong body, they are committing child abuse. …

“Under the Trump administration, we're systematically ending every single one of these radical Left betrayals, and we're putting the parents back in charge. They're the ones that love our children. They're the ones that should be in charge.” (applause)

Alliance Defending Freedom advances religious liberty in 250 bills

Alliance Defending Freedom is helping to advance religious liberty through over 250 state and federal bills this year.

These measures support core God-given freedoms. Dozens have already become law.

The organization said it provided “legal analysis, bill review, and guidance on laws that curb radical gender ideology, end institutional censorship, and help secure parental rights.”

570th anniversary of Gutenberg Bible

And finally, this week in history is commemorated as the anniversary of the Gutenberg Bible. It is named after Johannes Gutenberg, a German inventor and printer.

The earliest date appearing on a copy of the completed Gutenberg Bible is August 24, 1456 – 570 years ago.

This Bible represented the first work printed in Europe with moveable type. The new printing press would become invaluable for the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. It allowed teachers like Martin Luther to easily spread their writings on the Bible.

Isaiah 52:7 says, “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns.’”

Indonesian pastor sentenced for citing Mohammed’s polygamy

An Indonesian pastor has been sentenced to two years in prison for pointing out Mohammad’s polygamy. At the time of his death, the founder of Islam had nine wives.

Dedi Saputra was falsely accused of “hostility, hatred or incitement” with a “potential of causing unrest.” 

Like Dedi, the Apostle Paul ran into troubles along the way as well. 

In Acts 17:4-5, Luke writes, “And some of them [in Thessalonica] were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas.

“But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar.”    

Surrogate mother speaks up for choosing life

Baby Gabriel, the child in the middle of a massive rent-a-womb controversy, has survived his first heart surgery since being born two weeks ago.

The child’s surrogate mother, McKenna West, refused to abort him despite being sued by his biological parents, Nausheen Gilkar and Omar Ahmed. However, Baby Gabriel is now in the custody of the very parents who sought to have him killed! 

In the New York Post, Miss West wrote, “No woman should be forced to kill the baby inside her. Most importantly, every child deserves a chance to live. As a cardiac nurse, I knew this little one had a great shot at survival if given the opportunity to receive the necessary treatment.

“After I communicated to the contracting couple that I could not end this baby’s life, their lawyer, and my own former lawyer, sent me letters threatening six-figure penalties if I didn’t comply with their demand to terminate. The contracting couple cut off my payments, and I covered the rest of the pregnancy expenses myself.”

The United States and Canada are in another trade war.

The White House has announced that the U.S. will impose 50% tariffs on certain Canadian products like vehicles and steel imports. And now, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada will “hit back.” 

Here’s what Carney said in a press conference on Saturday: “You’re at war when you’re attacked, and we got attacked.”

He added this.

CARNEY: “We cannot accept what they’ve offered and we will not give what they’ve asked.”

Trump added this on Truth Social on Sunday: “Canada wants the benefits of being a State, without being one!!! They have also charged our great farmers, for many years, massive amounts of tariffs. No more!!!”

United States to buy back its own bonds to lower inflation

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the federal government will be buying back its own bonds in an effort to rein in inflation and reduce the interest on the bonds, reports CNBC.

That means that the government will use its $1 trillion checking account -- which happens to be borrowed money to begin with -- to buy its long-term bonds, in an artificial attempt to reduce interest rates.

U.S. debt topped $40 trillion

The United States federal debt topped $40 trillion last week, reports CBS News. (Check out the eye-opening website www.USDebtClock.org)

The market responded.

According to Fortune Magazine, gold is back up to $4,650 an ounce and silver is scraping $70 an ounce.

Condo prices sinking

Condo prices are sinking like a rock in 33 major city markets including in Florida, California, Texas, Colorado, and Washington state. 

Wolf Street estimates a 29% average drop since the 2022 peak. Add inflation into that and that’s a 38% drop in condominium prices.

Condo prices can signal housing stress before the rest of the market collapses. 

Divorce rate up for those over 55

U.S. divorce rates are way up for people older than 55 years of age. In fact, they’ve doubled since 1990. And,  among those over 65, the divorce rate has increase five-fold since 1990.  

A recent Bowling Green University study found that the 50+ crowd now accounts for nearly 40% of all people getting divorced. That was only 8% in 1990.

2032 is Social security depletion date

The Social Security depletion date has moved up another three months, now targeted for 2032.

The ratio of workers paying into Social Security per retiree has plummeted from more than 5-to-1 in 1960 to 2.9-to-1 today.

Mel Gibson to release Resurrection movies in 2027 Film producer and director Mel Gibson is wrapping up a 10-year project — a production of the sequel for The Passion of the Christ.

The project is slated to be released as a two-part series on the Resurrection sometime in March and May next year — Good Friday and Ascension Day on the Christian calendar.

The films were shot in Rome.

Spiderman: Brand New Day misuses God’s name 16 times

And finally, the blockbuster film, Spiderman: Brand New Day, is #1 at the box office for its fourth week -- now at $2.2 billion worldwide.

That’s a record for the franchise.

But Focus on the Family’s PluggedIn.com and Ted Baehr’s MovieGuide.org both warn of foul language, the single most concerning drawback for families. God’s name and Jesus’ name are misused a total of 16 times in the movie. 

Exodus 20:7 says, “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses His name.” Close
