Hindus in India spreading lies about Christians

report by the World Evangelical Alliance found Hindu nationalists in India and Nepal are spreading misinformation about Christians to provoke persecution.

Since 2014, India’s government has been suppressing all religious minorities, including Christians. Hindu nationalists often use social media to spread misinformation about Christians so that they will face discrimination.

In Nepal, officials have harassed pastors and Christians. Nepal’s criminal code changes in 2017 legitimized this persecution. The government also does nothing to stop the spread of stigmatizing misinformation about Christians online.

The World Evangelical Alliance called out both India and Nepal for inaction, disregard, and even complicity in these misinformation campaigns.

Delta COVID variant prompting 4 countries to lockdown again

Nearly 100 countries are facing the more infectious Delta variant of the coronavirus.

Israel, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Thailand are reimposing COVID-19 restrictions in response to the variant.

British street preacher awarded money for arrest & imprisonment

A county court in Britain ruled that a local police department must pay a Christian street preacher named David McConnell $4,500 for wrongfully arresting and imprisoning him in 2019.

At the time, McConnell was responding to bystanders who were heckling him about abortion and homosexuality. Police charged him with a hate related public order offense.

McConnell told The Christian Institute, “I have to say that, when I am preaching now, the police in Huddersfield are very good with me. I’m glad I’m able to continue to share the good news of Jesus Christ.”

Romans 10:15 says, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”

26 states have exited out of Pandemic Compensation program

Ten more states in the U.S. are opting out of the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation Program.

That makes 26 states that have exited the program. All but one of the states are run by Republican governors. The states blamed workforce shortages on federal handouts and want people to get back to work.

32 U.S. cities have banned murder of unborn babies

While the Biden administration is pushing its abortion agenda, many local governments across the U.S. are taking a stand for life.

So far, 32 cities across Texas, Nebraska, and Ohio have banned the murder of unborn babies.

Lebanon, Ohio is one of the recent cities to become a Sanctuary City for the Unborn. City Councilman Adam Matthews told CBN News they are deliberately standing up to the Biden administration.

MATTHEWS: “President Biden has said that he wants abortion access available in every single zip code of this country. We have our own zip code and we have people that we want to be able to protect.”

Local governments in half a dozen other states are also considering legislation to ban abortion.

Psalm 82:3-4 says, “Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.”

Catholic Bishops refuse to ban pro-abort politicians from communion

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops clarified that it has not made a decision to ban pro-abortion politicians from communion.

This comes a week after the bishops approved a draft document on the meaning of the eucharist. Many saw the document as a rebuke to pro-abortion Roman Catholics and an attempt to bar them from communion.

Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. said this week they will not deny communion to President Joe Biden.

Facebook becomes 5th U.S. company to reach $1 trillion value

On Monday, Facebook became the fifth U.S. company to reach a market capitalization of $1 trillion.

The social media giant joins Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google-parent company, Alphabet, in the trillion dollar club.

As tech companies continue to grow, a bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers is advancing antitrust bills to limit the market power of Big Tech.

Children living with both parents exceeded 70%

The percentage of U.S. children living with both parents exceeded 70% last year. This reverses a 30-year trend of fewer and fewer children living in two-parent homes.

Last year, the percentage of children living with a single-parent fell to 25.5%, a 25-year low.

11 new Worldview listeners donated $3,375

And finally, to help keep The Worldview on the air, we need to raise $65,000 by Friday, July 9th.  Toward our goal of raising $48,750 by this Friday, July 2nd, 11 new Worldview listeners stepped up to the plate.

Our thanks to Wendy in Colorado Springs, Colorado who gave $25, David in Houston, Texas and Shawna in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho – both of whom gave $100, and Max in Macon, Georgia, Suzanne in Macon, Georgia and Jamey in Macon, Georgia – each of whom gave $150.

We’re grateful to God for Shala in Tieton, Washington, Denise in Aurora, Colorado, and Sarah in Poughkeepsie, New York – each of whom pledged $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300.

And we’re humbled by the generosity of Bryan in Parker, Colorado who pledged $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600 and David in Hyattsville, Maryland who pledged $100/month for 12 months for a gift of $1,200.

Those 11 gifts add up to $3,375.  Ready for our new grand total?  Drum roll please. (Drum roll sound effect). $39,498!  (Sound effect of people cheering)

In order to hit the $48,750 goal by this Friday, July 2nd, we need to raise $9,252. That means I need to find 15 Worldview listeners who will pledge $25/month for 12 months for a gift of $300.  And another 7 listeners who will pledge $50/month for 12 months for a gift of $600. In fact, the next 4 listeners who pledge $50/month will be matched, dollar for dollar, by a generous couple in Minnesota.

Just go to TheWorldview.com, click on “Give,” select the dollar amount, and select the recurring button, if that’s your wish.  What would the Lord have you do?
