Nigerian Archbishop Calls for New Reformation to Wipe Out Immoral Sexual Practices

The Anglican Archbishop Nicholas Okoh in Nigeria, Africa, says the era of “European Christendom” has passed. He believes it’s time for a new Reformation to wipe out the “sinful” practices of sodomite sex and faux marriages which celebrate unnatural relations, reports Christian Today.

2 Timothy 4:3 says, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires.”

Seven Sailors Lost After US Navy Ship Collides With Philippine Ship

Seven US sailors have been lost at sea after the USS Fitzgerald, a Navy destroyer, collided with a Philippine-flagged container ship four times its size before dawn off the coast of Japan, reports Fox News.

Bill Cosby Released Due to Jury Deadlock

Bill Cosby’s criminal trial for the 2004 rape of Andrea Constand ended Saturday in a mistrial as the jury was hopelessly deadlocked after 50 hours of deliberation in Norristown, PA, reports Deadline.com.

The decision has for now spared the once-beloved 79-year-old actor from a potential decade behind bars.

In a surprising development, The Daily Mail reports that Camille Cosby came out swinging in a statement read Saturday morning just after the decision was announced.

“How do I describe the district attorney? Heinously and exploitatively ambitious. How do I describe the judge? Overtly arrogant and collaborating with the district attorney. How do I describe the councils for the accusers? Totally unethical. How do I describe many, but not all, general media? Blatantly vicious entities that continually disseminated intentional omissions of truth, for the primary purpose of greedily selling sensationalism at the expense of a human life.”

Man Who Shot Scalise Carried List of Republican Congressmen

It’s a chilling revelation. The gunman who opened fire on congressmen at a Virginia baseball field last Wednesday had a list of the names of conservative Republican congressmen in his pocket at the time of the incident, Fox News has confirmed.

Albuquerque Abortionists Single Out Disabled Babies

Abortionists in Albuquerque, New Mexico choose which babies they will and won’t kill, according to an undercover call released by Abortion Free New Mexico.

The World View spoke to Tara Shaver of Abortion Free New Mexico about the latest call to The Southwestern Women’s Options Abortion Mill in Albuquerque.

“The abortionist is deciding who lives or dies based on their comfort zone. It really doesn’t have anything to do with the health of the mother or the lives of the mother. It just is dependent on the comfort zone of the abortionist. And they’re highly discriminatory against handicapped children, children with fetal anomalies as they say.”

The World View asked Shaver if women are afraid to have babies with disabilities.

“I believe that the discrimination starts in the medical community. These women go to doctors, and they are trusting these doctors. And then when they come back with a bad diagnosis, the doctor capitalizes on that and encourages abortion.”

Washington Post Report Features the Value of People Born from Rape

Three cheers for Washington Post reporter Danielle Paquette!

Despite the fact that nearly 100% of the liberal media outlets justify abortion in cases of sexual violence, her article’s pro-life tone featuring the stories of young men and women born through the tragedy of rape was refreshing, reports Life News.

According to a 2011 Gallup poll, 75 percent of Americans, including many who would call themselves pro-life, believe it should be legal to murder a pre-born child conceived through rape.

Mary Rathke, one of the people featured in the Washington Post report, said, “Even those in the pro-life movement think it’s OK to abort me. Because I hear all the time, ‘I’m pro-life, except in the case of rape.’ I’m really hearing, ‘I’m pro-life, except in the case of Mary Rathke. Just because my father was a rapist doesn’t mean I don’t deserve life.’”

Psalm 139:13-14 says, “For You formed my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Katy Perry Says God’s Grace Intervenes in Her Life

During a live therapy session on Saturday, pop singer Katy Perry tearfully talked about her Christian upbringing, her suicidal thoughts and why she’s thankful for God’s grace.

Perry said the low point in her life was just after she split with her ex-husband, Russell Brand, and battled thoughts of suicide. She wrote about that emotional rollercoaster in her 2013 song, “By the Grace of God,” which talks about God intervening.

Perry said, “I’ve been given this gift; I know that God has His hand on me. I know sometimes I go through things and they’re just too intense and I can’t handle them. Then He swoops in and He shows me that it’s His grace that brings me through it.”

While we celebrate Perry’s acknowledgement of God’s grace, we pray that Perry, who has rejected the Christian faith of her youth, would repent, turn back to Christ and stop singing songs which celebrate worldly values.

15-year-old Homeschooled Listener Writes in

Tristan Joy, a homeschooled young man from Plainfield, Vermont, wrote me at adam@TheWorldview.com.

He said, “Mr. McManus, I’m 15 years old and the oldest of three siblings. I’m super thankful to have a daily Christian radio broadcast during the week. There are too many liberals up here in this state, mostly in Montpellier. The World View is the best one I think I’ve ever listened to. I think it is really interesting to hear what goes on in the US and around the world.”

Thanks Tristan. We are so pleased that you listen to our newscast on a regular basis. Most mainstream outlets are hostile to God and His values. We strive to honor Him and His Word.

Our exciting fundraising update in just a moment.

Support to The World View Skyrockets!

Each day, our team spends 8-9 hours working on The World View between researching, interviewing, transcribing, writing, text editing, voicing the newscast, and audio editing. In order to help keep The World View on the air, we need to raise $20,000 of pledges by this Friday, June 23rd. Among the tens of thousands of our listeners, we are looking for the remnant to step up to the plate.

We are looking for World View listeners to pledge $50 per month for a year or $25 per month for a year to hit the $20,000 goal. Go to www.TheWorldView.com, click on “Give” on the top right, choose $50 or $25, and check the recurring donation button.

Last I reported, our new donors had pledged $9,030 for The World View by last Friday morning. Later that day and over the weekend, we had the most number of pledges yet. The numbers shot up dramatically. 24 of God’s people gave sacrificially.

Special thanks to Chris and Stuart who each pledged $5/month, to Yvonne who pledged $10/month, and to Kristin, Kimberley, Timmie, Robin, Ronald, Brian, Mark, Curtis, Angela, and Scott who each pledged $20/month. We’re also grateful for Timothy, John, and Lucinda who pledged $25/month and Evenell, Oscar, and Amy who pledged $50/month. Finally, thank you to the following World View listeners for their one-time gifts including $50 from Chad, $100 each from Kristi and David, $130 from Adrian, and $500 from Daniel.

Our new total is $15,250 toward our $20,000 goal by this Friday. That means we only need to find 3 listeners to pledge $50/month and 7 folks to pledge $25/month.

Iraqi Immigrants in Chicago Brace Themselves for Deportation Raids

Chicago’s Iraqi immigrant community is bracing for raids by U.S. immigration officers after witnessing a sweep over the weekend in Detroit, where federal agents rounded up more than 100 Iraqis, most of them Christians, and sent them to a detention center in Ohio, pending deportation, reports World Magazine.

More arrests appear slated for other Iraqi communities—in Chicago, San Diego, and Nashville.

But this initiative runs headlong into U.S. foreign policy. The State Department in 2016 declared ISIS actions in Iraq against Christians and others to be genocide, and its latest travel warning warns all residents that travel to Iraq “remains very dangerous.”

Villagers in India Beat Christians and Force Them into Hindu Rituals

Villagers in Uttar Pradesh state, India beat Christians, forced them to participate in Hindu rituals and have refused to provide them water.

Four families who were attacked in Jalalabad village, Ghazipur District rely on the water to irrigate their fields, they said.

“How will we survive if we don’t grow our crops?” Sasikala Kumari asked Morning Star News.

Worse yet, on April 25 Hindu villagers beat Manoj and his wife Pushpa Kumar with sticks, accusing them of forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity.

To their credit, the four couples along with four other Christians refused to participate in the Hindu ritual or deny Christ. Sadly, a total of 13 other younger Christians felt compelled to participate in the Hindu ritual and deny Christ.

Russian Defense Ministry Investigates Whether ISIS Leader Was Killed in Airstrike

The Russian Defense Ministry is trying to verify whether ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in a strike in late May along with other senior group commanders, reports CBN.

In a statement, Russia claims the airstrike was carried out during a meeting of ISIS leaders outside the group’s de facto capital of Raqaa in Syria.

Secretary of Defense James Mattis told CBS News that his order from President Donald Trump is to eliminate the Islamic terror group once and for all.

Polynesian Canoe Circumnavigates the Globe

No modern navigation instrumentation guided a Polynesian voyaging canoe as it followed the horizon during a three-year journey around the globe, reports Associated Press.

About a dozen crewmembers for each leg of the voyage relied only on their understanding of nature’s cues — ocean swells, stars, wind, and birds to sail across about 40,000 nautical miles to 19 countries.

The voyage is perpetuating the traditional wayfinding that brought the first Polynesians several thousand miles to Hawaii hundreds of years ago. The trip also helped train a new generation of young navigators.

Democrats Give Their Baseball Trophy to Keep in Scalise’s Office

One day after a gunman opened fire at a GOP baseball practice, injuring five, including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, Democrats soundly defeated the GOP in the annual Congressional Baseball Game on Thursday night 11-2, reports TheHill.com. But the score wasn’t the focus of the game that evening.

The Democrats gave the GOP their trophy to keep in Scalise’s office during his recovery. He remains in critical condition, but the hospital where he is being treated said he has improved over the past 24 hours.

More on Archbishop Okoh’s Stand Against Homosexual Marriage

Anglican Archbishop Nicholas Okoh of Nigeria, Africa has compared the crisis over homosexual marriage to the battle between the heretic Arius and St. Athanasius that rocked the church of the fourth century. That battle centered on the nature of the Trinity.

Arius claimed that the Son was a created being, not really God. And St. Athanasius is still remembered as the man who was willing to make a costly stand against this heresy.

The Christian Church is facing a similar struggle for the integrity of the gospel in this era, he continues, and refers to the decision by the Scottish Episcopal Church to change its doctrine to allow homosexual marriage. This follows similar Bible-rejecting decisions by the Episcopal Church of the US and the Anglican Church of Canada.

The archbishop didn’t mince his words.

He said, “This attempt to redefine marriage is not a secondary issue about which we can agree to disagree and continue to walk together. It means that Jesus was mistaken when he taught that marriage was between a man and a woman and that sex outside of such a marriage is a sin. It is a radical rejection of the authority of Scripture. The Church claims that it can consecrate behavior that God’s Word clearly teaches to be sinful.”

FBI Finds List of Republican Congressmen in Shooter’s Van

The handwritten list of Republican congressmen whom James Hodgkinson, the deranged Bernie Sanders volunteer, wanted to kill, was found in his van according to the FBI.

The lawmakers named on the list are known to be conservative members associated with the Freedom Caucus including Republican Representatives Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee (pronounced day-zharr-LAY), Trent Franks of Arizona, Jeff Duncan of South Carolina, Jim Jordan of Ohio, Mo Brooks of Alabama and Morgan Griffith of Virginia. The list confirms what most suspected. This was indeed a premeditated attempt to kill the politicians.

James Hodgkinson was living out of a white cargo van in Alexandria for months and was seen showering and working on a computer at a nearby YMCA.

Hodgkinson, a 66-year-old former volunteer for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign, had a history of run-ins with the law, including arrests for battery and drunken driving.

Governor of Texas Signs Bill Protecting Faith-Based Adoption Agencies

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has signed House Bill 3859 into law that prevents the government from punishing faith-based adoption agencies that operate their organizations in accordance with their religious beliefs, reports The Christian Post.

The Human Rights Campaign, the largest sexually misguided lobbying group in the U.S., denounced the passage of the bill which is a self-revealing guarantee that Governor Abbott did the right thing.

And that’s the World View in Five Minutes.
