China Communists require teachers to have no religious belief

Wenzhou city in China’s Zhejiang province, one of the cities in China that has the highest number of Christians, is reportedly asking its teachers to sign a pledge to not believe in any religion, reports International Christian Concern.

According to China Aid, the “Teacher’s Promise to Not Believe in Any Faith” issued by the Communist Party of China has recently been distributed to Longwan District Primary School in Wenzhou, requiring all teachers’ signatures.

Since Xi Jinping came to power, Zhejiang has seen a sharp rise in Christian persecution, including large scale cross removal, banning of minors in churches, and banning Christian teachers from teaching at schools. It shows that the Communist Party of China continues its plan to clamp down on Christianity.

Trump rallies Georgia voters to vote G.O.P. in Jan. 5th Senate race

On Saturday, President Trump campaigned in Georgia for Republican senatorial candidates David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

TRUMP: “What’s at sake in this election is control of the U.S. Senate. And that really means control of this country. The voters of Georgia will determine which party runs every committee, writes every piece of legislation, controls every single taxpayer dollar. Very simply, you will decide whether your children will grow up in a socialist country or whether they will grow up in a free country.”

The special run-off election is slated for January 5th. If Democrats win both seats, and Biden is certified as the president-elect, then Kamala Harris, as the Vice President, would be the tie-breaking vote to advance their socialist agenda.

Will Supreme Court determine presidential election?

Last Thursday, Trump campaign lawyer Jordan Sekulow said the most likely path to victory for the president would be for the U.S. Supreme Court to combine cases from several states that would together determine the outcome of the election.

The matter could then go to the House, where the Constitution gives each state delegation one vote. Republicans control 26 state delegations while Democrats have 23.

Video: 4 suitcases of ballots in Georgia get counted

On Friday, 20 House Republicans demanded that Attorney General William Barr open an investigation into the Georgia election, citing a video that showed suitcases of ballots pulled out from underneath a table during the counting.

Listen to the description by a Trump attorney who narrated the video.

TRUMP ATTORNEY: “I saw four suitcases come out from underneath the table. What are these ballots doing there? They’re separated from all the other ballots. And why are they only counting them whenever the place is cleared out with no witnesses?”

CA Mayor: Being bare-faced is “an act of domestic terrorism”

A Los Angeles County public official reportedly believes that not wearing a mask should be considered domestic terrorism, and critics are fuming at the exaggeration.

Lancaster, California, Mayor Rex Parris expressed his anger about rising coronavirus cases in Los Angeles County in recent weeks, and suggested that those who do not comply with the rules should be arrested, according to a Los Angeles Daily News report.

Parris said, “If it were up to me, anybody not wearing a mask when they are out in public would be arrested … That’s an act of domestic terrorism and should be treated like one.”

Philly archbishop: Joe Biden should be denied Holy Communion

Charles Chaput, the archbishop emeritus of Philadelphia, proclaimed that Joe Biden should be denied the sacrament of Holy Communion. The former archbishop maintains that his opinion is not “political,” but rather a “pastoral concern,” reports The Blaze.

Chaput said that despite Biden being Catholic, the former vice president should not receive Holy Communion. He asserts that Biden’s support for the “grave moral evil” of abortion should disqualify him from Holy Communion.

Lauren Daigle offers hope through Christmas special

Yesterday evening, Grammy Award-winning artist Lauren Daigle premiered her holiday concert “Christmas Under the Stars.”

In an interview with The Christian Post, Daigle said that, for her, the coronavirus lockdowns taught her to appreciate “rest and stillness.” She said, “I have had to look at the things that make me feel frantic and frenzied and realize that rest and stillness are a thing of beauty. After this year, I think I need the wonderful reminder of Christmas to refocus on hope and joy.”

For many people though, joy can be hard to come by. Listen to Daigle’s remarks along that line.

DAIGLE: “There’s a lot of people that are sad during Christmas. There’s a lot of people that have lost loved ones and it becomes a season of sorrow. A lot of people feel lonely in this season. And so I think really being mindful that not everybody around you is ‘in the cheer.’ But, in that, Christ came to bring hope he came to bring joy and comfort, to the lonely to the brokenhearted.”

Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

2020’s most-read Bible verse found in book of Isaiah

And finally, searches on the YouVersion Bible app increased by 80% this year, to nearly 600 million, as the pandemic created a sense of uncertainty and turmoil. Isaiah 41:10,  a verse about God’s promise for strength and help, was the verse that was bookmarked, highlighted and shared the most, reports the Christian Post.

God says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

With 43.6 billion Bible chapters read, 7.5 billion audio chapters played, and 1.4 billion Bible Plan days completed, YouVersion says it “saw its highest levels of global Bible engagement in app history.”

YouVersion founder Bobby Gruenewald said, “While 2020 is a year so many say they’d like to forget, we see it as a year to remember how God used the Bible App to help so many people who are searching for answers. Through every hardship, people continue to seek God and turn to the Bible for strength, peace, and hope.”

Trump: “If we don’t root out voter fraud, we don’t have a country anymore!”

Last Wednesday, President Donald Trump concluded his speech on voter fraud with a warning.

TRUMP: “Many very smart people have congratulated me on all we’ve done. The biggest tax cuts in history, regulation cuts the biggest in history. we rebuilt our military, we took care of our vets like never before Spaceforce and so much more. But then they went on to say, as big and as important as these events were, the single greatest achievement in your presidency will be exactly what you’re doing right now.

“Voter integrity for our nation. It’s more important than any of the things that we discussed. If we don’t root out the fraud, the tremendous and horrible fraud that’s taken place in our 2020 election. We don’t have a country anymore.”
