Christian Pakistani Slave Freed From Slavery!
Even though slavery is technically illegal in Pakistan, Christians are often forced into such a life.
Salim Masih was living a life of servitude as a brick kiln worker. And when he tried to gain his freedom, Masih was tortured by the brick kiln owner, reports Christian Today.
Thankfully, the British Pakistani Christian Association intervened and paid a ransom to secure his release. The organization says it normally tries to refrain from paying ransom to captors, but Masih’s case called for swift action.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 reminds us of Christ’s ransom for us. “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave himself as a ransom for all people.”
Six Women Testify About Their Imprisoned Husbands in China
Six women who testified before Congress last Thursday belong to an exclusive, tragic club: The wives of human rights lawyers and activists imprisoned by the Chinese government, reports Christian Headlines.
The women shared similarly distressing stories of their husbands’ arrests for human rights work, the torture they faced in prison, and the emotional and physical toll on their families.
For example, Xie Yang ‘s wife Chen testified that her husband endured “beating delivered in rotation by a roster of guards, exhausting interrogations for 20 hours at once, having cigarette smoke blown into his face and eyes, starvation, dehydration, and the refusal of medical treatment for his illnesses.”
The wives urged the Trump administration to raise their husbands’ cases to Chinese President Xi Jinping and end the torture of political prisoners.
South Sudanese Child Refugee Count Reaches 10,000
World Vision has warned that the number of South Sudanese child refugees travelling alone to seek sanctuary in neighboring Uganda, Africa is approaching the “staggering” and “alarming” level of 10,000 children.
Gilbert Kamanga, World Vision Uganda’s country director, said: “Every day, World Vision is registering more than 100 separated and unaccompanied minors. The majority of these children saw their parents being killed while others lost touch with their families once fighting broke out. Some of them walk for more than a week to get to Uganda, with nothing to eat.”
In the past year, Uganda has become host to the largest refugee settlement in the world, with more than 2,000 refugees from South Sudan arriving into Uganda every single day. 86 percent of these refugees are women and children.
Right now, Uganda’s Bidi Bidi refugee camp boasts a population of 270,000 people.

President Trump Signs $110 Billion Dollar Deal with Saudi Arabia
After having flown to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, President Donald Trump signed a nearly $110 billion arms deal to help the Persian Gulf ally with its military-defense system, reports Fox News. After the president signed the deal, he said, “Tremendous investments in the United States. Hundreds of billions of dollars of investments into the United States and jobs, jobs, jobs.”
Unlike former President Barack Obama, Trump did not bow to the Saudi king.
Then yesterday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, President Trump challenged the Muslim nations of the Middle East to drive out the terrorists.
TRUMP: “The path to peace begins right here, on this ancient soil, in this sacred land.
America is prepared to stand with you. But the nations of the Middle East cannot wait for American power to crush this enemy for them. The nations of the Middle East will have to decide what kind of future they want for themselves…

Trump’s nine-day, overseas tour will also take him to Israel, to the Vatican to have an audience with Pope Francis, then to a sit-down with allies at a NATO summit in Brussels and finally to the Group of 7 wealthy nations in Sicily.
American Airlines Passenger Detained By Duct Tape
An American Airlines passenger was detained in Honolulu, Hawaii on Friday after a 25-year-old Turkish man named Anil Uskanil tried to get into the cockpit during the Flight 31, but was subdued by a crew member and another passenger, before he was duct-taped to his seat and federal agents boarded the plane and arrested him, reports Fox News. Just another handy application for duct tape.
Canadian Doctors Who Reject Assisted Suicide May Leave the Profession
On May 18th, the Ontario, Canada legislature rejected Bill 129, the Regulated Health Professions Amendment Act, a bill that was sponsored by Jeff Yurek to provide conscience protection for health care workers in Ontario, reports the Toronto Sun.
In a joint press conference organized by the Concerned Ontario Doctors and the Coalition for Healthcare and Conscience, many Ontario doctors and nurses who work in palliative care say their objection to playing a role in assisted suicides may force them to leave the medical profession altogether.
2 More Abortion Mills Close in Colorado
More great pro-life news. Two more Planned Parenthood abortion mills announced plans on Friday to close their doors, this time in Longmont and Parker, Colorado, reports The Times-Call.
The two facilities are part of the Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains affiliate, which announced a total of six closings last week. These include three more facilities closed in New Mexico and one in Wyoming.
Anglican Church Debates Homosexual Marriage
The Anglican Church has been locked in debate for some time now on the issue of homosexual marriage and if it should be permitted in the Church. Recently, UK Prime Minister Theresa May weighed in on the issue, reports the Christian Post.
While the Christian daughter of a Church of England vicar supports homosexual marriage, she does not believe that the Anglican Church should be forced to officiate such ceremonies.
Although many in the Church of England have been lobbying for the acceptance of homosexual marriage, the Anglican Church on a broader scale is less in favor of changing official Church doctrine which states that marriage is between one man and one woman.
Alaska Based Russia Ministry Will Continue to Spread the Gospel
Despite Russia’s newly enacted anti-evangelism laws, Alaska-based SOAR International has said that it will continue its outreach in Russia, offering Bible study and discipleship programs for youths this summer.
According to Mission Network News, they will host a four-week camp in Rison, a two-week camp in Moscow and a one-week camp in St. Petersburg. The camps are focused on “building relationships, teaching life skills, teaching English, teaching the Bible” said Joanna Mangione with the American Christian ministry.
Pro Life Club Banned From College Campus
Apparently free speech has been banished on the high school campus.
Several students at Parkland High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania inquired about launching a chapter of Students for Life last September but their inquiries were ignored by school administration officials, according to the Christian Post.
Elizabeth Castro, a senior, said that they wanted to “create a life-affirming culture at our school, educate our peers on the issue of life, hold diaper drives to support pregnant and parenting students, and become a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.”
How dare they!
Thankfully, The Thomas More Society has written a demand letter on the students’ behalf, outlining why the school’s refusal violates their constitutional rights.
Alaska Law Maker Introduces Bill To Ban Abortions
An Alaska state lawmaker introduced a controversial bill last Monday that would ban all abortions and protect unborn babies’ right to life, reports the Alaska Dispatch News.
The Life At Conception Act, or House Bill 250, introduced by state Rep. David Eastman, would put into law what the Alaska State Constitution already says.
Eastman said his bill will bring “state law into conformity with the Constitution of the State of Alaska, which provides that ‘all persons have a natural right to life,’ ‘all persons are equal and entitled to equal rights’ and ‘all persons are entitled to equal … protection under the law.’”
The bill also would repeal language from state murder and manslaughter laws that exempt abortions, and make the intentional killing of an unborn baby a crime of murder.
Eastman said destroying the life of an unborn baby should carry the same penalties as destroying the life of a born child.
