Hindu Brutality Against Pentecostals in India

Twenty-five masked Hindu extremists, armed with wooden sticks, interrupted an April 29th service at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in northern India, indicating that they were looking for Pastor Kamlesh Kumar saying, “We will kill him today”, according to his wife’s account to the Morning Star News.

When Ram Prasad, a 55-year-old man, intervened as they were beating members of the congregations, they hit him with a brick, causing him to fall to the ground, bleeding profusely, hitting him with wooden sticks until he lay motionless, unconscious, on the floor.

The pastor’s wife, Shashikala, said, “We had hidden [my husband] inside a room and locked the room from outside. They went on hunting for him everywhere. This is how we were able to save his life.”

Prosperity Gospel Televangelist Wants $54 Million for Fancy Jet

Jesse Duplantis, a Louisiana prosperity gospel televangelist, is asking supporters for money to buy a jet that costs $54 million.

Jesse Duplantis Ministries has already paid cash for three private jets. Now he has his sights set on a Dassault Falcon 7X, a three-engine jet with a range of 5,950 nautical miles. Its customizable cabins accommodate 12 to 16 passengers.

“We’re believing God for our brand new Falcon 7X so we can go anywhere in the world one stop. Now people say, ‘My Lord, can’t you go with this one?’ Yes, but I can’t go in one stop. And, you see, if I can do it in one stop, I can fly it for a lot cheaper because I have my own fuel for ‘em. And that’s what’s a blessing of the Lord. But this one here I have to stop and then you pay those exorbitant prices of jet fuel all over the world.

“We’re believing God. It was once of the greatest statements the Lord ever told me. He said, ‘Do you want to come up where I’m at?’ I said, ‘What do you mean?’ ‘Before you ask, I’ll answer.’ Isaiah 65:24. I said, ‘Yes Lord.’

“He said, ‘I want you to believe me for a Falcon 7X.’ So, I said, ‘Okay.’ But the first thing I thought of was ‘How am I going to pay for it?’ And then that great statement He told me in 1978 flooded into my mind. He said, ‘Jesse, I didn’t ask you to pay for it. I asked you to believe for it.’

“So, pray about becoming a partner to it, if you’d like to. I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the earth today, He wouldn’t be riding a donkey. Think about that for a minute. He’d be in an airplane, preaching the Gospel all over the world.”

Duplantis joins prosperity preachers Kenneth Copeland and Creflo Dollar who attempt to justify fleecing their flocks to fly around in luxurious private jets in order to share the Gospel of Christ.

I wonder how God was able to use Billy Graham without a fancy jet?

Special Report: The Inspiring Faith of 21 Egyptian Martyrs

Time now for a World View Special Report by Emily Swanson. I’m Adam McManus.

By Emily Swanson

Three years ago, ISIS forced 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians, dressed in orange jumpsuits and with their arms handcuffed behind their backs, to kneel down on a beach near Tripoli, Libya before they were beheaded for refusing to renounce Christ. The evil plot was videotaped and published by the Muslim extremists in a video entitled, “A Message Signed with Blood to the Nation of the Cross.” It sparked air strikes from Egypt against ISIS units in Libya.

On May 14th, 2018, God provided closure for the families when their coffins arrived back In Egypt.

The World View spoke to Claire Evans of International Christian Concern who explained how the martyrdom of these Christians affected other Christians in Egypt, especially when it comes to finding jobs.

“These other Christians that were martyred were in Libya because they were looking for work that they couldn’t find in Egypt. After they were killed many Egyptians stopped going to Libya for obvious reasons. Economically, it meant that their families lost their breadwinner, so they weren’t receiving any income, and that put them in this dire strait. More broadly, it affected other Christians because they were too scared to go to Libya, and they remain too scared.”

Evans said that it has been devastating for the families of each of the men.

“It’s also had a big impact in ways that are more positive than negative. The negative; they were devastated. It broke their hearts in so many different ways and that devastation was really, really hard for some of these families and still is.”

Evans also testified that God has worked this out for the strengthening of their faith as well.

“On the other hand, as the healing process went on, the way they’d phrase it is that they became glad. And what they mean by that is that they were very glad that their sons, fathers, brothers kept the faith. That encourages them to keep the faith daily despite all these other hardships that they’re facing.”

Evans said the closure of having the bodies of their sons, brothers, and fathers returned was healing for the families.

“And then having the closure by having the bodies actually returned to the village where most of them are from and placed in the church that was built to honor them. It’s this reminder that their memories are still alive. Their faith was strong, and it encourages the faith of other Christians to be strong even when all these other hardships are going on.”

Evans said to continue to pray for the families as they live life for Christ without these family members. Pray that they would continue to be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.

Hebrews 12:1-2 says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”
