Founder of China Aid speaks to The Worldview about Hong Kong

Approximately 130,000 people are fleeing from Hong Kong to the United Kingdom after Communist China took over the administrative region, reports CBN.com.

The Worldview spoke to Bob Fu, president of China Aid, about how dire the circumstances are for Christians and others seeking religious freedom in Hong Kong.

FU: “What’s happening now is that the most fundamental freedoms that the former British colony, Hong Kong, is pretty much gone. The Hong Kong National Security Bureau, a newly created National Security Court totally controlled and appointed by the Beijing puppet chief executive, can literally arrest anyone, anywhere in Hong Kong based on their social media content, and even the long arm of the Communist Party already expanded beyond the Hong Kong border into Hong Kong citizens and to many other foreigners.”

Fu shared a couple of key prayer points when you think of your brothers and sisters in Hong Kong who are facing more religious persecution now than ever.

FU: “We should really pray hard that they won’t be imprisoned or if they are, like Joshua Wong or 20-year-old Agnes Chow, that they can stand firmly on their faith in God.”

How you can bless the Christians in Myanmar

Also, please pray for Christians in the Southeast Asian nation of Myanmar.

Hundreds of thousands of Myanmar citizens protested across the country on Monday against the military coup that occurred this month.

Police killed at least three protesters and arrested over 600 more. Christians face even more persecution at a time like this.

The Worldview spoke to Pastor Mark Robinette, founder of Mission to Myanmar, about the situation.

ROBINETTE: “We are thankful that, with the Lord’s help, we are still in contact with our brothers and sisters there. And we fully expect to remain so. God has blessed us with some backdoor channels to help them get support.”

Please pray for Christians in Myanmar and consider supporting them through a special link in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com.

Almost half of Israel has been COVID vaccinated

The nation of Israel is beginning to ease coronavirus restrictions.

Israel has the highest vaccination rate in the world. Forty-nine percent of the population has received at least one dose.

Shops, libraries, museums, gyms, hotels, and synagogues are reopening after a study there found the Pfizer vaccine to be 95.8% effective.

GOP becoming party of blue-collar Americans

An NBC News poll found the Republican Party is quickly becoming the party of blue-collar Americans.

Over the last decade, the percentage of Republican blue-collar voters increased by 12 points. By contrast, the percentage of Democratic blue-collar voters decreased by 8 points. The percentage of white-collar voters across both parties has not changed significantly.

The growth of Republican blue-collar voters includes gains among African-Americans and Hispanics.

Southern Baptist prepared to expel perversion-endorsing church

The Southern Baptist Convention is preparing to expel a member church for accepting people living sexually perverted lifestyles into membership.

Jim Conrad, the pastor to Towne View Baptist Church in Kennesaw, Georgia, said he accepts the likelihood that the Southern Baptist Convention will disfellowship his church.

The SBC’s statement of faith labels homosexuality a sin, and thus people living in unrepentant sin would not be allowed to become church members.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says, “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites . . . will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”

Planned Parenthood killed 354,871 U.S. babies

A new report by Planned Parenthood found the abortion giant killed a record number of babies in the womb between 2019 and 2020.

Planned Parenthood performed 354,871 abortions over that timeframe and received $618.1 million in government funding.

While much of the economy shut down during the coronavirus pandemic, abortion mills continued to operate last year.

NASA’s Mars probe landed last Thursday

And finally, NASA’s Perseverance Mars Rover  landed on the Red Planet last Thursday.

It’s the ninth U.S. rover to land on Mars since the 1970s. It will spend a year on Mars which is the equivalent to 687 Earth days.

Yesterday, NASA released the first audio recordings from Mars taken by the rover as well as the first color picture.

Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.”
