Congo Muslims Kill 6 Christians Including 9-Year-Old
Islamic militants killed six Christians, including a 9-year-old child, in the city of Kalau in the Democratic Republic of Congo this month, reports Open Doors.
The four-hour attack sent nearly 500 families running for their lives from the predominantly Christian city.
The Allied Democratic Forces, the Islamic group behind the attack, started in the mid-1990’s and is believed to have killed at least 700 civilians and over 20 United Nations’ peacekeepers.
The area in the Congo also faces an Ebola outbreak which is now in its eighth month in some regions.
Argentinian Christians Take Stand Against Abortion, Gender Confusion
Christian leaders in Latin America are concerned about the spread of gender ideology in their countries, the idea that a man or a woman can pretend to be the opposite sex against God’s order.
Pastors who refuse to bow to the gender ideology receive persecution, reports Evangelical Focus.
One religious school in Argentina was targeted by government authorities for rejecting gender ideology.
Nevertheless, Latin American pastors and Christian leaders met recently in Panama City to unite against abortion and gender confusion and are ready to take their fight to the United Nations.
1 Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
Canada’s Euthanasia Program: 8,000 Killed in 3 Years!
Canada’s legal assisted suicide or Medical Aid in Dying program has yielded little data so far.
However, Jocelyn Downie, a leading Canadian pro-euthanasia activist, presented some disturbing new numbers last week to the Royal Society of Canada in Ottawa, reports Life News.
Downie stated that 7,949 people have reportedly been killed in the program between December 2015 and December 2018.
Psalm 94:6-8 says, “They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. Yet they say, ‘The LORD does not see, nor does the God of Jacob understand.’ Understand, you senseless among the people; and you fools, when will you be wise?”
US Sanctions 2 Chinese Companies Aiding N Korean Nuclear Program
The U.S. imposed sanctions on two Chinese shipping companies it says are helping North Korea evade sanctions from the international community over its nuclear weapons program, reports Reuters.
These are the first sanctions imposed since President Donald Trump met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un last month.
Last ISIS Stronghold in Syria Falls
Fox News reports the last ISIS caliphate stronghold has been defeated and the people liberated in Baghouz, Syria.
The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces have been tearing down the black flags of ISIS as bombings and gunfire have ceased for five days for the first time.
The Pentagon says there may still be remnants of ISIS hiding in caves.
Number of Religiously Unaffiliated Now Equals Evangelicals in America
The National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago released a new study this week on the changing religious landscape of America.
The data showed that the number of religiously unaffiliated is now equal to the number of evangelicals. 23.1 percent of those surveyed claimed to have no religion, while 22.8 percent said they were evangelical Christian.
Since the survey began in 1972, the religious “nones” – n-o-n-e-s — comprised only 5 percent of the population.
Psalm 14:1 says, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.”

Italian Teen Who Saved School Bus of Kids from Kidnapping Arsonist
And finally, a 13-year-old Italian boy has been hailed as a hero after saving the lives of 51 fellow schoolchildren during a recent school bus attack near Milan, reports the BBC.
The bus driver, a 47-year-old Italian citizen from Senegal, hijacked the bus and set it on fire, saying, “No one will survive.”
13-year-old Ramy Shehata hid his mobile phone when the bus was confiscated and phoned the police.
One school child said, “He is our hero.”

Special Report: God’s Gift of People with Down Syndrome to Hurting World

Yesterday, March 21st, marked the first day of spring as well as World Down Syndrome Day, but there is nothing “Down” about it. It’s a popular hashtag on Instagram that describes the blessing of those children we have with one extra chromosome.
Psalm 127:3 says, “Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.”
The World View spoke with Savannah Fine, a sister of a little boy with Down Syndrome named Charlie who passed into glory with Jesus just over two years ago, about why these children are an invaluable treasure.
FINE: “I love March 21st, because it’s such an incredible day to remember that all were created in the image of God, and they’re all fearfully and wonderfully made. I think of Psalm 139 where the Psalmist says, ‘For you formed my inward parts. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works. My soul knows this very well.’ And I think that applies to all of God’s creation, all the people that the Lord has made, whether Down Syndrome or not.”
Miss Fine shared that these children have so much joy, something she’s seen over and over again.
FINE: “They’re life givers. They love people. Their joy is contagious. My cousin just sent me some statistics this morning, and as I was reading through them, it just rings so true, because as our family has connected with the Down Syndrome community, I’ve seen this in real life.”
She went on to share the statistics about people with Down Syndrome from this study which you can find linked in our transcript today at www.TheWorldView.com.
FINE: “It says that 99% of these people are happy with their lives. 97% say they really like who they are. 99% say they LOVE their family. And then it goes on to say, ‘Do you know of any group of people, of any economic status, educational level, age, ethnicity, that even approaches those percentages?’”
May we embrace a culture of life that helps these precious people to “rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice.”
1 Corinthians 1:27-29 says, “But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.”
