Chinese Seminary Targeted by Communists

Without a warrant, Chinese officials arrested two Christian pastors in the middle of teaching their seminary class in China’s eastern Jiangsu province last week.

The class challenged the police on the legality of the arrests, but the officials said the seminary did not have proper credentials to be operating as a school.

Even while police took ID card information, the students sang hymns, reports China Aid.

Luke 12:11-12 says, “Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”

Top 5 Atheist Countries

China has the highest atheist population. A 2017 Gallup poll found 67 percent of Chinese people do not believe in religion, while only 9 percent say they are religious.

Other countries which boast of 20 to 30 percent atheist population include Japan, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and South Korea.

U.S./North Korean Summit Appears to Be Back On

After cancelling a summit between the U.S. and North Korea, President Donald Trump said Friday there are now “productive talks” between the two countries about reinstating the meeting.

And North Korea has indicated it is still open to holding talks with the U.S.

Irish legislators Prepare Bill to Murder Unborn Babies

After Ireland’s referendum last week to overturn protections for unborn babies, the Irish parliament is expected to approve the government’s bill that would legalize the murder of the unborn children.

The proposal would allow abortions for any reason up to 12 weeks of pregnancy and up to six months for a broad scope of reasons.

Isaiah 59:7 says, “Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.”

Catholic Church Stands Tall Against Sexual Perversion

Ambridge Event Center is suing the Oregon Holy Rosary Catholic Church for $2.3 million in “damages” after the church refused to allow an event supporting sexual perversion to take place in one of their buildings.

Ambridge had rented out space owned by the church for different events, but was instructed by the church to turn down an LGBT event. Ambridge is now filing suit, saying the move is destroying their reputation.

The church has also cut ties with Ambridge after the company hired an openly homosexual event coordinator.

Franklin Graham: Christian Faith and Politics Mix

Evangelist Franklin Graham began his 2018 Decision America Tour last Sunday in California, gathering thousands for prayer. Ahead of mid-term elections, the tour goes through several swing districts for the U.S. House.

While on tour, Graham called for Christian involvement in politics in an interview with Together LA.

“Christians need to vote for politicians that are going to stand for biblical values…  I want Christians to run for office. The Christian faith and politics can mix. Just because we’re Christians doesn’t mean if we go into politics, we stop being Christians. We take our faith with us into office.”

Oldest Fragment of Mark ever Discovered

A much-debated fragment of the Gospel of Mark was recently assigned to the late second to early third century A.D. by the Egypt Exploration Society.

Uncovered in 1903, it’s the oldest fragment of Mark ever discovered.

The papyrus includes references to Mark 1:7, 8.

“And he preached, saying, ‘There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.’”

Christian “Spider-Man” Climbs 4 Stories to Rescue Little Boy

And finally, Mamoudou Gassama, a 22-year-old immigrant from Mali to Paris, has been nicknamed “Spider-Man” after bravely scaling four stories of an apartment building to rescue a 4-year-old boy dangling from a balcony.

The incident occurred Saturday around 8 p.m., when the father left the young child alone to go shopping. And then, he was playing Pokemon Go once he left the shop. He faces up to two years in prison for abandoning his parental responsibilities and a fine of $35,000.

French President Emmanuel Macron presented a gold medal to Gassama, who will also be granted French citizenship.

Gassama told CNN, “I didn’t think about it; I climbed up and God helped me.”
