Pakistani Christian couple released from death row

Praise God! Pakistan’s Lahore High Court acquitted a Christian couple last week that has been on death row for eight years on false blasphemy charges.

A mosque leader accused Shafqat Emmanuel and Shagufta Kausar of sending text messages insulting Islam in 2013. Emmanuel said police tortured him into giving a false confession. Needless to say, the couple’s four children are desperate to see their parents again.

Please pray for the family since Christian Pakistanis, who are acquitted of blasphemy charges, often face persecution and death threats.

The Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, “We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed . . . persecuted, but not forsaken . . . always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.”

Hong Kong police prohibit commemoration of Tiananmen Square Massacre

Seven thousand Hong Kong police stood guard last Friday to keep people from commemorating the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre.

Normally, tens of thousands of people gather in Hong Kong’s Victoria Park to remember those who died when the Chinese military cracked down on pro-democracy demonstrators 32 years ago.

Even churches received threats where people planned to gather in remembrance of the fallen.

Communist China has been extending more control over Hong Kong since last June.

Netherlands killed 6,938 people by euthanasia

Sadly, a record 6,938 people were killed last year in the Netherlands by euthanasia.

The death count is 4.3% of the total number of deaths in the country for last year.

Dutch lawmakers are now considering a law to legalize euthanasia for children between the ages of 1 and 12. The Netherlands became the first European country to legalize euthanasia in 2002.

VA school board forced to reinstate Christian teacher

A U.S. Circuit Court judge ordered a Virginia school board to reinstate a physical education teacher who was suspended for his Christian views on sexuality.

Last month, teacher Tanner Cross told the Loudoun County School Board he could not in good conscience affirm transgenderism to his students.

Tanner’s attorney, Tyson Langhofer with Alliance Defending Freedom, told Fox News that the teacher’s suspension should never have happened.

LANGHOFER: “The reason this was so extreme was that the school board punished Tanner simply for speaking at a public meeting in his private capacity. And even he went to work the next day and there were no problems, yet they still suspended him. That’s unconstitutional. And that shouldn’t happen.

Judge struck down CA ban on so-called “assault weapons”

Last week, a federal judge struck down California’s 32-year-old ban on so-called “assault weapons” as unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez wrote, “Like the Swiss Army knife, the popular AR-15 rifle is a perfect combination of home defense weapon and homeland defense equipment. Good for both home and battle.”

The ruling noted, “In California, murder by knife occurs seven times more often than murder by rifle . . . A Californian is three times more likely to be murdered by an attacker’s bare hands, fists, or feet, than by his rifle.”

Justice Dept. recovered $2.3 million of $4.5 million pipeline ransom

The U.S. Justice Department recovered millions  of dollars worth of ransom money paid by Colonial Pipeline to Russian-based hackers last month.

To regain operations, the major pipeline paid the hackers 75 bitcoins, worth $4.5 million at the time.

U.S. agents were able to recover 63.7 bitcoins, now worth about $2.3 million.

The repentance of former homosexuals vs, pride of the unrepentant

And finally, 200 people joined the third annual Freedom March in Washington, D.C. on Saturday.

The event celebrates the lives of people who have turned to Christ and been set free from sexually perverted lifestyles.

March participants wore t-shirts that said: “Rainbow Revival.” Participant Angel Colon told the Christian Post, “We are taking back the rainbow. It’s His. For us, it’s something beautiful.”

As the nation celebrates pride in sexual perversion, the Freedom March included a time of repentance.

FORMER LESBIAN: “Lord, on our behalf, on behalf of our nation Lord, we ask for forgiveness. We have given ourselves over to every other lover. God, we repent. Lord, we have looked to idols. We have looked to all things to satisfy our intimacy that only you can bring Lord. We repent for going our own way. We repent for making ourselves in our own image when God we are made in Your image alone. God we repent.”

James 4:6 says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
