Mob of 200 Attacks House Church in Central India

On January 9, a house church in India’s Chhattisgarh state was brutally attacked by a mob of radical Hindu nationalists, reports International Christian Concern.

According to Pastor Hemanth Kandapan, the attack began when a single radical named Sanjith Ng broke into the worship service. Once inside, he began to beat members of the congregation and Pastor Kandapan, dragging him outside where a mob of  200 had gathered.

As the mob attacked, they used foul language against the Christians, claiming they were illegally converting Hindus to Christianity. The mob went on to threaten the Christians, saying they would be killed if they continued to hold prayers in the village.

The mob brutally beat Pastor Kandapan and another Christian named Sankar Salam, both of whom were hospitalized with severe internal injuries.

In late December, Hindu nationalist leaders called for Christians to be shot if they were caught engaging in conversion activities.

2 Timothy 3:12 says, “Everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”

Biden’s approval rating plummets to 33%

According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, President Joe Biden’s approval ratings have plummeted to 33%, down from 36% in November 2021.

On Biden’s handling of the economy: 34%. On his foreign policy: 35%. And on Biden’s handling of COVID: 39%.

Supreme Court blocks Biden Covid vaccine mandate for businesses

The Supreme Court has blocked the Biden administration’s COVID-shot mandate for private businesses, reports The Epoch Times.

In a 6–3 ruling yesterday, the court halted the mandate for all private employers with 100 or more workers, ruling that the states and companies that challenged the rule were likely to succeed. Biden administration officials had argued that the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 gave them the authority to impose the mandate, but a majority of the justices disagreed.

In a rebuke to the White House’s COVID strategy, the court’s majority reminded Biden and his Occupational Safety and Health Administration that  “Administrative agencies are creatures of statute. They accordingly possess only the authority that Congress has provided. The Secretary has ordered 84 million Americans to either obtain a COVID–19 vaccine or undergo weekly medical testing at their own expense. This is no ‘everyday exercise of federal power.’ It is instead a significant encroachment into the lives—and health—of a vast number of employees.”

The 6-3 ruling came from Republican-appointed justices including John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett, the last three of whom were appointed by President Trump.

Over the objections of Barrett, Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch, the court did leave the COVID-shot requirement in place for health care workers at any facilities that get Medicaid and Medicare funds by a narrower 5-4 margin. By the White House’s estimate, that means about 17 million Americans will be affected by the stay, which will continue to fuel shortages of healthcare workers as they are fired or quit to avoid the forced COVID-shot mandate.

Pro-life warrior James Sedlak has died

James Sedlak, executive director of American Life League and a towering figure in America’s pro-life movement, has died at age 78, reports LifeSiteNews.com.

Sedlak once recounted. “In 1979, I read a book called The Tiniest Humans. It was just an absolutely compelling book about the humanity of the preborn child. And that’s what brought me into the pro-life movement.”

Sedlak didn’t just join the pro-life movement, he became one of the driving forces combating abortion throughout the world. According to ALL founder Judie Brown, Sedlak was the “#1 Enemy of Evil in America.”

Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director in College Station, Texas, said,  “When I worked at Planned Parenthood, their greatest threat was one humble man named Jim Sedlak. They were terrified of him.”

Billy Graham’s granddaughter suffers 2 heart attacks; Send get well card

And finally, Rachel-Ruth Lotz, the granddaughter of the late evangelist Billy Graham, was rushed to the hospital this week following a heart attack caused by a rare condition, reports The Christian Post.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Lotz’s mother, evangelist Anne Graham Lotz, shared that her daughter was currently in the hospital.

“Multiple times I have prayed Psalm 73:26 for people who were struggling with heart issues: My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Rachel was “rushed to the hospital on Saturday night with a heart attack, followed by a catheterization. Sunday afternoon, she had a second heart attack, followed by another catheterization. The mystery is that her heart has no blockages which can cause traditional style heart attacks. Hers is a very rare condition one doctor described as a ‘broken heart syndrome.’ There is no known cause. The condition can also be triggered by a serious physical illness or surgery.”

Anne Graham Lotz specifically requested prayer for “her heart to stabilize; for accurate diagnosis and treatment; for the doctor’s supernatural wisdom; for peace and comfort for all of us.”

Please send a get well card to Rachel-Ruth Lotz, Angel Ministries,
5115 Hollyridge Dr, Raleigh, NC 27612.
