South Korean Supreme Court Legalizes Abortion

World destruction, by way of abortion, continues in South Korea.

The New York Times reports that the nation’s supreme court legalized abortion last Thursday, in a 7-2 ruling. That’s the same 7-2 vote the U.S. Supreme Court cast in 1973, resulting in the deaths of 60 million innocent babies.

South Korea is the last major far eastern country to fall to the abortion blight, except for the Philippines and Taiwan. South Korea also has had one of the lowest birth rates in the world due to its use of abortifacient contraceptives.

A 1953 law which outlawed abortion in the country has been largely ignored in recent years, with as many as 100,000 abortions conducted annually.

The Generations/World View team will be speaking at the South Korea Christian Home School Conference March 5-7 of 2020.

Sudanese President Arrested After Persecuting Christians for Years

A nation that has relentlessly persecuted Christians for 50 years finds itself in upset.

In God’s sovereign providence, the military has overthrown the government of Sudan. President Omar Al-bashir has been arrested, and the military council promises to initiate committees to fight corruption and the lifting of media restrictions and censorship. This will represent a big setback for the radical Muslim group Hamas, long supported by the Al-bashir government, reports Haaretz News.

Psalm 46:8 says, “Come, behold the works of the Lord, who has made desolations in the earth.”

Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris Burns for Hours

Just a few days before the celebration of Easter, Paris was shaken by a gigantic fire that burned Notre Dame Cathedral, reports The Daily Mail.

Yesterday, the iconic, 800-year-old church burned for several hours while Parisians watched and sang hymns from the streets. The main spire collapsed, but the major portion of the church building was saved.

Neither terrorism nor arson is suspected. French media quoted the Paris fire brigade as saying the fire was “potentially linked” to a $6.8 million renovation project on the church’s spire and its 500 tons of wood and 250 tons of lead.

No one was killed, although one of the 400 firefighters was injured.

A recent survey found that only 5% of French attend church, although 53% still call themselves Catholic.
