Violent Protests Break Out in St. Louis, Missouri

Protests in St. Louis, Missouri over the acquittal of a white police officer in the shooting death of a black man turned violent late Friday as demonstrators clashed with riot-gear-clad cops and surrounded the home of the city’s mayor, reports Fox News.

Members of a crowd of about 1,000 broke at least two windows at the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson and threw red paint at the brick house before riot police moved in to disperse the crowd with tear gas, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

President Trump Softens Policy on Children of Illegal Immigrants

President Donald Trump’s tough talk on illegal immigration was a big part of the reason his bid for the presidency gained such momentum, reports the L.A. Times.

Trump shifted last week in an apparent compromise with the Democrats to allow the 1,700,000 children of illegal immigrants – the so-called “Dreamers” —  to stay in the country. The Dreamers are comprised of those living in the country under the age of 31 who came to the U.S. as children; who don’t have a criminal record; who have served in the military, or are currently attending, or have graduated from, high school or college.

Just weeks ago at a Phoenix, Arizona campaign rally, the president said the sole route to legal status for those living in the U.S. illegally would be to “return home and apply for re-entry like everybody else.”

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter, author of “Adios America”, who was an early endorser of Trump, is aghast, tweeting, “I bet on a loser…At this point who DOESN’T want Trump impeached?”

Most White Evangelicals Say an Immoral Person Can Be a Good Leader

A new Public Religion Research Institute study has shown that the majority of white evangelicals believe that a politician who acts immorally in his private life is still able to conduct himself ethically in his public life, reports Relevant Magazine.

When the survey was conducted in 2011, only 30 percent of white evangelicals said that a politician who acted immorally could still be a good public leader. Last year, however, in 2016, the same survey found that that percentage of white evangelicals jumped all the way to 72 percent.

The Bible takes issue with their unbiblical conviction. James 1:8 says, “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

Ben Shapiro Shatters Student’s Pro-Abortion Arguments

Last Thursday, popular conservative author Ben Shapiro dazzled the audience at the University of California at Berkeley when he rapidly refuted a young man’s pro-abortion arguments, reports Life News.

During the question and answer period in the sold out auditorium, a young man asked, “Why do you think a first-trimester fetus has human value?”, explaining that he believes sentience — or the capacity to feel, perceive, or experience — is what makes humans valuable.

Ben Shapiro: “The problem is any time you draw any line other than the inception of the child, you end up drawing a false line than can also be applied to people who are adults. So either human life has intrinsic value or it doesn’t. I think we both agree that adult human life has intrinsic value. Can we start from that premise?”
Liberal student: “I believe sentience is what gives something moral value, not necessarily being a human alone.”
Ben Shapiro: “Ok, so when you’re asleep, can I stab you?”
Liberal student: “I’m still considered sentient when I’m asleep.”
Ben Shapiro: “Ok, if you are in a coma from which you may awake, can I stab you?”
Liberal student: “Well, then, uh, no. I guess not.”
Ben Shapiro: “I’m glad that you answered that because I have no interest in actually murdering you.”
Liberal student: “But that’s still potential sentience!”
Ben Shapiro: “I agree. That is potential sentience. Do you know what else has potential sentience? Being a fetus.”

Rosie O’Donnell’s Former Partner Dies of Apparent Suicide

Rosie O’Donnell’s ex-wife, Michelle Rounds, was found dead in her home last Monday of an apparent suicide at the age of 46, reports MSN.com.

Rosie said, “I am saddened to hear about this terrible tragedy. Mental illness is a very serious issue affecting many families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle’s family, her wife and their child.”

Rosie and Michelle rejected Biblical counsel and started dating in 2011 and went through a faux marriage ceremony in June 2012. They broke up in November 2014 and Rosie filed for divorce in February 2015.

Seven months after they made their unnatural relations official in the eyes of the state, Rosie and Michelle adopted their daughter, Dakota, who is now 4 years old.

1 Corinthians 7:2 says, “But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.”

Special Report: Evangelist Nabeel Qureshi Goes to Meet Jesus

Time now for a World View Special Report. I’m Adam McManus.

Popular evangelist Nabeel Qureshi, who once sought Allah, has now found Jesus face to face. He died Saturday of stomach cancer, reports Christianity Today.

Qureshi was born and raised in the United States to a devout Pakistani Muslim family and had finished the Qur’an by the time he was five years old.

He met his match when he attended Old Dominion University in Virginia and met David Wood. Qureshi challenged Wood’s Christian faith when he saw him reading a Bible by himself. Thus began a two and a half year period where the pair challenged each other on the doctrines of their faiths.

Eventually, Qureshi realized his arguments for Islam crumbled under the evidence for Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and divinity.

But it wasn’t just the physical evidence that convinced Qureshi. He had three prophetic dreams about Christ that eventually won him over.

Qureshi accepted Christ as his Savior and faced the difficult task of telling his parents.

He said, “When my parents did find out it was probably the most painful day of my life. To have Christ in my life makes every loss worth it.”

He went on to study Christian Apologetics at Biola University, while also getting his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He later completed a degree in religion at Duke University and entered a phD program in New Testament studies at Oxford University. Qureshi became an itinerant speaker with Ravi Zacharias’ International Ministry.

Qureshi published three books, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity, Answering Jihad: A Better Way Forward, and No God but One: Allah or Jesus? A Former Muslim Investigates the evidence for Islam and Christianity.

Listen to a brief clip from one of his Christian talks in which he indicates that he was willing to count the cost to follow Christ even after he was virtually disowned by his Muslim parents.

“The resurrection happened. Jesus claimed to be God, then He died on the cross and He proved it by rising from the dead. God died on the cross. That God, Who made the universe, suffered that death because He loves us that much. That is the Christian message. That is worth believing. Now if you ask me, ‘Nabeel, you had a perfect life, you had a family that loves you, you had — you were become a doctor, you had a good place in society, everything was great for you; was it worth it?’ absolutely it was worth it! I would do it a hundred times over again!

“My mom and dad didn’t come to my wedding. Every single time I see a video of a son dancing with his mother at his wedding, I have to think that it was worth it. Every time I see parents lovingly hug their children and say, ‘we’re proud of you,’ I have to think it was worth it. Because it was worth it. And if I have to die the same kind of death that Christ died, in order to proclaim this message of hope to other people who are here, that would be the greatest honor I could ever have.

“Did you know, we sent one missionary per million Muslims into the rest of the world over the past few decades? And God looked at us and said, ‘Well, since you’re not going, we’re going to bring them here.’ And so He brought Muslims to Denver, Colorado. There’s tons of them! We were here, God left us here, for the specific purpose of loving others and leading them to Christ, sharing God’s love with them, and letting them know what it means to be loved by God. That is why we’re here. That is why we’re here. And God equips us to do that. And there’s hope and purpose and peace and love in that. And that is the Gospel.”

Qureshi made the official announcement of his cancer diagnosis in August 2016.

He said this in a Facebook post. “This is an announcement that I never expected to make, but God in His infinite and sovereign wisdom has chosen me for this refining, and I pray He will be glorified through my body and my spirit. My family and I have received the news that I had advanced stomach cancer and the prognosis is quite grim.”

In the last video before his death, he said he hoped he leaves behind a legacy of love, saying, “As you consider my ministry, I hope it leaves a message of love, of peace, of truth, of caring for one another.  Our God is a God of love.”

In summary, I’d like to cite the words of Christ Himself from Matthew 16:24. He said, “Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me.”

It’s my prayer that you will be inspired by the life of Nabeel Qureshi who was transformed by the life of Christ.

Bomb Goes Off in London Subway

Twenty-two people have been injured in a subway explosion in London, although none of them is serious. Officials believe the attack was likely an act of terror, but are currently still investigating.

CBN News reports that the bomb went off in the Parsons Green underground train station in West London at 8:20 a.m. local time. The perpetrators behind the attack likely deliberately chose the busy morning rush hour as the time to detonate the explosion.

Thankfully, however, no casualties are reported.

Survey Shows Most British Young People Follow No Religion

According to a new survey commissioned by the Church of England, only six percent of British adults are practicing Christians. The demonstrations of Christian faith were measured by regular prayer, Bible reading, and church attendance.

Only 15 percent of respondents described themselves as Anglicans. And 71 percent of young people aged 18–24 said they follow no religion.

Woman Wanting to End It All Instead Founds School for Poor Children

In early 2016, a 57-year-old Australian named Kathryn Lowe found herself on the precipice of turbulent life, wondering if it was all worth it.

She told she told Good News Network that “Before I left, I wrote out my will, I didn’t expect to come back. I was either going to find an existence over there or quietly fall off the side of a mountain.”

During one of her 10-hour treks with her sister, she discovered the isolated village of Lukla and learning about the tragic story of an 8-year-old child who was denied formal education because his parents couldn’t afford the $15 per month tuition.

At first, Kathryn decided to sponsor the classes for some of the most destitute children.

Reaching deep into her savings Kathryn purchased a block of land and with further self-funding and donations from family and friends, a new four-roomed schoolhouse became the hub for education in the village and the manifestation of Kathryn’s newfound passion.

“Some kids, from neighboring villages, will walk for up to two hours just to get there in the morning. Often, they’ll be 40 minutes early! The students have really taken ownership of their learning.”

You can learn more about the school by visiting the Learning For Lukla Facebook page.

Court to Rehear Appeal of Block to Abortion Regulations

Ready for a good news, bad news, good news story?

First, the state of Missouri’s legislature passed a law which required abortionists must have hospital privileges within 30 miles of their murder mill. That’s good news.

Then, earlier this year, U.S. District Judge Howard Sachs blocked the enforcement of that law which prompted two Planned Parenthood organizations to push forward with plans to expand abortions into four communities in the Show Me State. That’s bad news.

But last Tuesday, September 12th, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals granted State Attorney General Josh Hawley’s request that the full court rehear the appeal of the ruling that blocked the long-standing safety regulations, reports Life News. That’s good news.

Interestingly, none of the abortionists involved in the expansion plans have qualified for hospital privileges, leaving women at risk of delay in emergency care should abortion complications arise, as they have all too frequently at the currently-lone Missouri abortion facility in St. Louis.

New York Women Get Plastic Surgery to Look Like Ivanka Trump

A New York plastic surgeon says that since the 2016 Republican primaries, he has seen a deluge of patients who want to look like Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter, reports PageSix.com.

Dr. Norman Rowe says that since last summer, up to 50 clients have asked him to give them the Ivanka look — which he describes as widened cheekbones, a slender nose and large eyes. The price tag is a cool $50,000.

Eight Elderly Patients Died from Heat Across the Street from Air-Conditioned Hospital

The facts are finally coming out about the eight deaths of elderly patients at Rehabilitation Center of Hollywood Hills, Florida reports Miami Herald. They were largely avoidable.

Three days after Hurricane Irma hit Florida, the center still didn’t have air conditioning.

Authorities launched a criminal investigation to figure out what went wrong and who, if anyone, was to blame.

On Saturday, Florida Governor Rick Scott ordered that all assisted living facilities and nursing homes needed to purchase generators and fuel to maintain comfortable temperatures for at least 96 hours following a power outage.

More startling, there was an air conditioned hospital just across the street from the rehabilitation center. Why weren’t the patients all transferred to Memorial Regional in a timely manner?

Vendetta Craig, whose mother was sickened at the nursing home, said the center’s administrators should “be prosecuted to the full extent that the law allows and then some.”

State records showed problems with fire and safety standards, as well as more serious issues with generator maintenance and testing, according to February 2016 reports by Florida Agency for Health Care Administration inspectors.

Amazon Removes Negative Reviews of Hillary Clinton’s Book

Amazon can’t just sell books, it has to alter how people feel about them.

The London Telegraph reported that “Amazon has been monitoring and deleting reviews after Hillary Clinton’s new book was greeted with a torrent of criticism on the day it was released.”

The result? As of Thursday night, fully 94 percent of Amazon’s 655 Hillary book reviewers have awarded the book 5 stars….and only 3 percent have disapproved with a one-star review. Guess who hasn’t reported on this website manipulation so far? The Amazon-owned Washington Post.

New Member of Russia Investigation Team Donated to Democrat Candidates

Yet another Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama donor has been picked to work on special counsel Robert Mueller’s team of Russia investigators, reports The Daily Caller. Kyle Freeny, a Justice Department attorney, gave $250 to Obama in 2008 and 2012 and $250 to Hillary Clinton last year.

According to Politico, at least eight of the Mueller team members, including Freeny, have shelled out nearly $65,000 in donations altogether to Democrat candidates.
