Family in Indonesia Bombs Three Churches, Killing 13 People

On Sunday, a family of six carried out suicide bombings against three churches in Indonesia’s second largest city of Surabaya, killing 13 people and injuring over 40 others.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the bombing, Indonesia’s deadliest one in over a decade.

Indonesia is the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation, ranked 38th on the Open Doors World Watch List of worst countries for persecution against Christians.

Ephesians 6:12, 18 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. . . [Pray] with all supplication and perseverance for all saints!”

Alfie Evans’ Funeral Attended by Hundreds

Hundreds of people lined the streets in Liverpool for the funeral of Alfie Evans yesterday. Alfie died on April 28 after a U.K. court ruled he should be taken off life support and not be allowed to travel internationally for treatment of his degenerative brain condition.

The funeral hearse was decorated in flowers forming the words “Warrior” and “our hero.”

Anglican Church of New Zealand Allows Blessing Homosexual Relations

New Zealand joins the Episcopal Church of the U.S. and Scotland in supporting homosexual relationships.

The Anglican Church of New Zealand voted this month to keep a traditional definition of marriage, but to allow clergy to offer services of blessing for individuals committed to unnatural relations.

2 Peter 2:1 warns, “There were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.”

Save the Storks Celebrates Choosing Life in Mother’s Day Video

The pro-life nonprofit organization Save the Storks released a Mother’s Day video, sharing how pregnant women have chosen to keep their babies after getting free sonograms outside of abortion mills on Save the Storks buses.

With four out of five women choosing life after boarding a Stork Bus, the organization has helped over 4,000 women with 39 buses across 26 states.

Listen to a woman named Ashley Goddard share how she chose life after hearing her baby’s heartbeat in a video from Save the Storks.

“When I chose life for my son, I didn’t leave feeling heaviness. I felt just joy is the biggest word that I can think of. It was the heartbeat that made me choose life. And now I’m actually going to school to be an ultrasound technician so I can share the gift of a heartbeat with so many more people.”

Colorado Mesa University Allows Student to Reference Bible at Pinning Ceremony

In God’s providence, Colorado Mesa University recently reversed its decision to ban a Christian student from referencing Jesus and the Bible in her speech for the school’s nursing program pinning ceremony.

This came after Alliance Defending Freedom sent the school a letter, saying their understanding of the First Amendment was wrong.

Here are the words student Karissa Erickson had prepared, “I find comfort in Jesus’ words, and pass them on to you. John 16:33. ‘These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world.’”

Special Report: Powerful Prayer at U.S. Jerusalem Embassy Dedication

Time now for a World View Special Report. I’m Adam McManus.

By Adam McManus (adam@TheWorldView.com)

The U.S. officially opened its embassy in Jerusalem yesterday after President Donald Trump recognized the city as Israel’s capital last December.

Pastor John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, founder of Christians United for Israel, prayed this prayer from America’s new Jerusalem embassy.

“Heavenly Father God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God who calls the stars by name and measures space with a span of his hand, the God who is the king of the universe, we gather here today to thank you for the joy of living and seeing this glorious and historic day.

“We thank you for the State of Israel, the lone torch of freedom in the Middle East, who lives and prospers because of Your everlasting love for the Jewish people. It was you O Lord who gathered the exiles from the nations and brought them home again. It was you who made statehood possible. It was you that gave a miraculous victory in 1967 when Jerusalem was reopened to worshipers of all faiths.

“Jerusalem is the city of God. Jerusalem is the heartbeat of Israel. Jerusalem is where Abraham placed his son on the altar of the Temple Mount and became the father of many nations. … Jerusalem is where Messiah will come and establish a kingdom that will never end.

“We thank you, O Lord, for President Donald Trump’s courage in acknowledging to the world a truth established 3,000 years ago that Jerusalem is and always shall be the eternal capital of the Jewish people. And because of that courage of our president, we gather here today to consecrate the ground upon which the United States Embassy will stand reminding the dictators of the world that America and Israel are forever united.

“Let the word go forth from Jerusalem today that Israel lives. Shout it from the housetops that Israel lives. Let every Islamic terrorist hear this message: Israel lives. Let it be heard in the halls of the United Nations: Israel lives. Let it echo down the marble halls of the presidential palace in Iran: Israel lives. Let it be known to all men, that Israel lives, because he that keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.

“As King David prayed 3,000 years ago we pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and all its inhabitants let the name of the Lord be glorified today for the defender of Israel today tomorrow and forever is here. Can we all shout hallelujah? Amen!”

Deadly clashes with Israeli forces followed the embassy’s opening as 35,000 Palestinian demonstrators rallied at the Gaza border. The Palestinian Health Ministry said 58 protestors died and over 2,700 more were wounded.

Genesis 12:3 says that God will bless those who bless Israel, and whoever curses Israel He will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through Israel.
