Iranian Christian Convert Denied Asylum in Sweden

An Iranian convert to Christianity from Islam, Aideen Strandsson, has been seeking asylum in Sweden since 2014, but may be deported to Iran after officials recently denied her asylum request. This happened despite the fact she would likely face imprisonment and possibly death in her Islamic country of origin, CBN News reported.

However, Hungary’s Deputy Prime Minister released a statement on the government’s website earlier this month, offering asylum to Strandsson. The minister stated, “taking in persecuted Christians is our moral and constitutional duty all at once.”

To contact the Swedish migration board about Strandsson’s case visit the website which we have linked in today’s transcript at www.TheWorldView.com.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25, “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You. . . a stranger and welcome You, or naked and clothe You? . . . And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.’” (Matthew 25:37-38, 40)

Australian Psychological Society Supports Homosexuality and Gender Confusion

Australia’s September vote on legalizing unnatural relations is around the corner. Ahead of this, the Australian Psychological Society released a guide on Tuesday, urging parents and teachers to support children who question their gender and to approve of faux homosexual marriage.

The pamphlet tells parents they should let their children know “it’s ok to question one’s sexual orientation. . . or one’s gender identity.”

But Jesus said in Mark 9:42, “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.”

Pro-Lifers Protest at Planned Parenthood’s Trivia Night

The Pro-Life Action League organized a protest on Tuesday outside of Planned Parenthood’s Trivia Night at the Revolution Brewing fundraiser in Chicago. The group passed out their own “trivia” which was factual information about the murder giant.

The group’s director, Eric Scheidler, stated, “There’s nothing trivial about abortion. While these partygoers are raising funds that ultimately contribute to the deaths of countless innocent children, we want to ensure they get the facts about the organization they’re supporting.”

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis Freezes President Trump’s Transgender Military Ban

Congregation in Haiti Raises $600 for Texas Disaster Relief

The estimate of 400,000 people needing some kind of relief in the Houston area is staggering, but Houston residents have not been left alone.

The World View spoke to Devin Vanderpool, Director of Communications for Live Beyond, a Christian disaster relief ministry, about what they are doing to help. She said they asked members of local Houston churches what they needed most.

“We took what money that people donated, and we bought items. We are currently transporting 30,500 pounds of water. We’ve got 170 cases of soup. We’ve got 50 rolls of duct tape. We’ve got all sorts of things that were on their list of things that they needed.”

Vanderpool shared a touching story of how one congregation based in Haiti raised $600 for relief, even though their minimum wage in that country is around $2.00.

“Live Beyond’s mission statement for a long time has been to relieve oppression. And we take that from Luke 4:18 and 19, and the Haitian people that we work with know that. From what I heard we had the members of our church, it’s the poorest country in the Western hemisphere, and they came up with 600 U.S. dollars to donate to Hurricane Harvey victims.”

Vanderpool said that if anybody wants to donate in kind or monetary donations, they can go to their website at www.livebeyond.org.
