Navy SEAL Killed Defending Christian Town from ISIS

A U.S. Navy SEAL was killed while defending a Christian town from an attack by Islamic State militants, reports Christian Today.

31-year-old Navy SEAL Charles Keating IV was killed by an Islamic State sniper in the battle for the ancient town of Telskuf, Iraq.

It was the fiercest battle his men had seen, lasting for five or six hours. About 430 Islamic State fighters were killed. The Americans fought until they ran out of ammunition. The anti-ISIS, Peshmerga forces, with help from the Americans, were able to win the battle, although 20 percent of the Nineveh Plains town was destroyed.

Keating’s best friend, Rob Morgan of Houston, Texas, set up a GoFundMe page which we have linked in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. Morgan said Keating was the “true definition of an American Hero,” and added that Keating once told him, “Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. Moderation is for cowards.”

Rebuilding of Homes for Christians Near Mosul Set to Begin

The rebuilding of 100 homes for Christians on the Nineveh plains, northeast of the city of Mosul, Iraq, is beginning Monday. According to International Christian Concern, the plan is to build 13,000 homes that will cost approximately $250 million. To be sure, it’s quite an undertaking!

The World View spoke to William Stark, the Regional Manager for the Middle East of International Christian Concern, about whether or not the project would be dangerous. He spoke about going to Qaraqosh, one of the towns in Iraq that was re-taken from ISIS last year.

“I think this will actually be quite safe for them. I was actually in Qaraqosh last month and was able to walk around the streets, look at the buildings, walk into the church and even for myself I felt pretty safe in that area. ISIS has been out of those areas since October of 2016.”

Stark said that there have been extra precautions made to prepare the area for the Christian families to return.

“Since then the NVP, which is the Nineveh Plains Protection Unit — it’s a Christian majority militia — they’ve actually been holding these areas. Also an organization that removes mines and IED’s (an improvised explosive device) went through the community and was able to remove any mines and IED concerns.”

Special Report on Reaction to Comey Termination After the Newscast

The fallout from President Trump’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey has been huge! More on that with mind-blowing audio clips from Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters coming up in my Special Report immediately following today’s newscast. Plus, I’ll feature Gary Bauer’s compelling analysis.

Michael Savage Gives Advice on Saving Trump Presidency

Nationally syndicated talk show host Michael Savage has a prescription on how to save the Trump presidency, reports WorldNetDaily.com.

“Number one, stop the impulsive tweeting. It’s unnecessary, and stop listening to your liberal ‘Manhattan’ family members…. We did not elect your family.”

Savage explained that he’s not “an apologist for Trump.” Instead, he noted, “I’m here as a defender of the agenda that Trump has been trying to enact.”

Israeli Researchers Find 6,500 Genes That Are Different for Males and Females

A biological male can take hormones, surgically alter his body and identify as “female,” but the procedures still will not make him a woman, according to new evidence found by Israeli researchers, reports WorldNetDaily.com. Why we needed new evidence is anyone’s guess.

They found 6,500 genes that contain sex-specific instructions for males and females.

How far we have fallen from the Deuteronomy 22:5 prohibition: “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this.”

Last Abortion Mill in Kentucky May Soon Be Going Down

Kentucky is on its way to becoming the first state with no abortion mills, according to LifeNews. There is only one abortion mill left in the state and officials say that the clinic has not complied with basic safety standards.

Ohio Considers Bill Banning Abortions Based on Down Syndrome Diagnosis

In other pro-life news, the Ohio House of Representatives considered a bill yesterday that would prohibit an abortion from being performed on an unborn child on the basis of that child having Down syndrome.

Ohio House Bill 214 is called the Down Syndrome Non-Discrimination Act.

Tragically, studies show that 90 percent of unborn babies diagnosed with Down syndrome are aborted.

Survey Shows Large Percentage of Professing Christians Hold to Non-Christian Ideas

A disturbing new survey reveals the scope of influence of non-Christian belief systems on the mindsets of practicing Christians, with large percentages of them agreeing with ideas from other faiths and secular philosophies, reports the Christian Post.

Barna in cooperation with Summit Ministries discovered that Marxism, secularism, postmodernism, and even a category called “new spirituality” have become profoundly influential on Christians.

  • Nearly 30 percent agreed that “all people pray to the same god or spirit, no matter what name they use for that spiritual being.”
  • And 54 percent agreed with some postmodernist views, 36 percent accepted ideas associated with Marxism, and 29 percent said they believe ideas based on secularism.

Conclusion? “The call for the Church, and its teachers and thinkers, is to help Christians dissect popular beliefs before allowing them to settle in their own ideology.”

2 Timothy 4:3-4 warns, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

Special Report on Reaction to Trump’s Termination of James Comey

And now, as promised, my special report.

As President Donald Trump sat in the White House with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, he was peppered with questions from the White House Press Corps about giving FBI director James Comey the ax on Tuesday.

“Why did you fire Director Comey? Why did you fire Director Comey?”

TRUMP: “Because he wasn’t doing a good job. Very simply, he was not doing a good job.”

According to McClatchyDC.com, new indications arose yesterday that Comey was seeking to expand the investigation into Trump’s inner circle and its ties to Russia.

Senator Dick Durbin, an Illinois Democrat, said he’d been told that Comey recently had asked newly installed Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for more money for the probe.

President Trump tweeted, “The Democrats have said some of the worst things about James Comey, including the fact that he should be fired, but now they play so sad!”

He also said Comey had “lost the confidence of almost everyone in Washington” and predicted, “When things calm down, they will be thanking me!”

Democrats Who Blasted Comey Before Are Now in an Uproar About Trump’s Decision to Fire Him

NBC’s Peter Alexander grilled Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California for her displeasure with President Trump for firing FBI Director James Comey after she had announced in January that he had lost all credibility after she attended a classified briefing conducted by Comey.

WATERS: “All I can tell you is the FBI Director has no credibility.”

Then in March, Waters issued a press release that read Comey “advanced Russia’s misinformation campaign.”

Congresswoman Waters appeared to be bi-polar in her interview with Alexander.

PETER ALEXANDER, NBC NEWS:  “You obviously have been very critical of James Comey in the past. You said that he had no credibility. I assume that you support the president’s decision then to fire his FBI director.”
WATERS: “No, I do not necessarily support the president’s decision. If the president had not gone all over the country, praising him about the way he handled Hillary and the emails…”
ALEXANDER:  “But if you said that FBI Director James Comey had no credibility, wouldn’t you support the fact that the president, then-candidate Trump, now president Trump, made the decision to get rid of him?”
WATERS: “No, not necessarily. And let me tell you why.”
ALEXANDER: “Why not?”
WATERS: “You have an investigation going on where the president is implicated. And this is a serious investigation. I’ve been trying to get people to focus this connection with the Kremlin and with Putin…”

However, when Alexander asked if Waters would be okay with a hypothetical President Hillary Clinton dismissing Comey from his position, Waters said yes.

ALEXANDER: “So, if Hillary Clinton had won the White House, would you have recommended that she fire FBI Director James Comey?”
WATERS: “Well, let me tell you something. If she had won the White House, I believe that given what he did to her, and what he tried to do, she should have fired him. Yes.”
ALEXANDER: “So [Hillary Clinton] should have fired him, but [Trump] shouldn’t fire him. This is why I’m confused.”
WATERS: “No, no you’re not confused!”

Family Research Council Founder Gives Analysis of Comey Termination

Gary Bauer, founder of the Family Research Council, and now director of the Campaign for Working Families, said, “For the past year, people like former Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi have blasted Comey. They have demanded his resignation and accused him of violating the rules, breaking the law and interfering in the election.

“In recent days, according to one report, nearly 1,000 headlines have repeated Hillary Clinton’s claim that Comey cost her the election. The left-wing outlet Mother Jones blasted Comey as ‘worse’ than a partisan Republican hack.”

Yet after Donald Trump fired Comey, Bauer continued, “this action is denounced as ‘Nixonian’ and ‘authoritarian.’ MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said it had the ‘whiff of fascism.’”

In addition, Bauer weighed in directly on Trump’s firing of FBI Director Comey.

He wrote, “We have reported to you in the past that the FBI was deeply divided over Comey’s actions last year. Former Justice Department insiders, like Joe diGenova, have said for months that Comey no longer has the confidence of FBI field agents.

“In recent days, Comey made major errors in his testimony before Congress. The FBI has been busy correcting his testimony. The truth is that no matter when Trump removed Comey, the left was going to scream ‘Cover Up,’ just like it did when the president dismissed federal attorneys.

“As Trump was evaluating Comey, he had to wait for a major piece to fall into place. That was the confirmation of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, a highly respected career prosecutor who has direct oversight of the FBI.

“Rosenstein was confirmed only two weeks ago. But evidently Rosenstein did not like what he saw at the FBI, and he wrote an extremely compelling memo making the case for Comey’s dismissal.”

Bauer concluded by saying, “Some critics are saying that President Trump should have briefed Republicans in Congress before Comey was dismissed so they would have been prepared. Trust me, if the president had told more than two or three members of Congress, it would have leaked within 15 minutes and there would have been massive pushback to prevent the firing.”

This has been another Special Report. I’m Adam McManus.

Churches in Sudan Get Demolished Despite Government Promises

Sudanese Christians were forced to stand and watch as their church was demolished despite government promises to stop targeting Christians, reports Debanga News.

Rev Elias Abdelrahim said, “We heard about the news of the demolition at 2pm. Members of the church and I arrived at the site in the afternoon and found the church levelled.”

Survey Shows Majority of Millennials Supports Freedom of Speech and Religion

The American Millennial generation overwhelmingly supports the freedom of speech and religious liberty, according to a study by a right-leaning Washington, DC-based group.

According to the Christian Post, The Fund for American Studies found that 93 percent of Millennials said they supported religious liberty and 92 percent said they supported free speech.

Roger Ream, president of the group, said that the findings contradicted the popular imagery associated with the Millennial generation.

“The media keeps showing us images of violent protests on college campuses, young Americans being angry and disruptive, but the truth is that millennials support religious and social freedoms more than non-millennials,” stated Ream.

Wrestler and Comedy Star Dwayne Johnson Considers Pursuing Political Office

Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, has dominated the wrestling ring and Hollywood comedy films. But is he ready for the presidency? Like Arnold Schwarzenegger before him, Johnson is intrigued by the world of politics.

When GQ Magazine asked him whether he honestly might one day give up his life as the highest-paid movie star on earth, The Rock said solemnly, “I think that it’s a real possibility.”

More on Study Showing Genetic Difference Between Males and Females

More on the Israeli study which indicated that 6,500 genes that contain sex-specific instructions for males and females.

For the study by Israel’s Weizmann Institute of Science, professor Shmuel Pietrokovski and Dr. Moran Gershoni, both researchers from the institute’s Molecular Genetics Department, “looked closely at around 20,000 protein-coding genes, sorting them by sex and searching for differences in expression in each tissue. They eventually identified around 6,500 genes with activity that was biased toward one sex or the other in at least one tissue, adding to the already major biological differences between men and women.”

It doesn’t seem fair or sportsmanlike for transgender weightlifters, like Gavin Hubbard, who was born a man, and now competes as Laurel Hubbard, to win the Australian international women’s competition this past March.

Substitute Teacher Snoozes While Student Gets Choked in Fight

Can you recall when one of your substitute teachers lost control of the class? Most of us can.

But in Richmond County, Georgia at Hephzibah Middle School the substitute teacher was actually napping while sixth grader Mikiline Lester, who already suffers from breathing problems, was being choked by another student, reports WRDW-TV.

A fellow student snapped an embarrassing picture of the sub with her arms folded across her chest, her eyes closed, her face facing the ceiling and her mouth wide open like a baby robin looking for its next worm. The picture has been shared through social media.

The substitute teacher reportedly will not return to the school, but is still eligible to work in other Richmond County, Georgia schools. Just another reason to homeschool your children!

And that’s the World View in Five Minutes.
