Wycliffe Translators Risk Their Lives for God’s Word
Wycliffe Associates, one of the leading Bible translation groups in the world, is committed to translating God’s Word in the Democratic Republic of the Congo — one of the most dangerous nations in the world, reports The Christian Post.
Bruce Smith, president of Wycliffe Associates, described the frightening conditions in Congo, saying they include “people hunted like animals … torture, mutilation, kidnapping, executions … fear and anger and utter, total despair that anything can ever be different.”
Yet Wycliffe is committed to translate the Bible for 200 people groups in Congo, Africa alone.
Joshua 1:9 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Pro-life Protestant Loses Costa Rican Presidential Election
Carlos Quesada, a center-left candidate, decisively defeated Alvarado Munoz, a conservative, pro-life Protestant singer, on Sunday in Costa Rica’s presidential runoff by promising to allow homosexual faux marriage, reports The Christian Post.
Sinclair TV Anchors Commit to Fair Reporting
Sinclair Broadcast Group, America’s largest television station operator with a total of 193 stations, ordered their local anchors to read a statement over the weekend, recommitting to fair, unbiased journalism.

Oddly enough, the mainstream press was in an uproar about Sinclair’s commitment to fair journalism.
President Trump tweeted, “So funny to watch Fake News Networks, among the most dishonest groups of people I have ever dealt with, criticize Sinclair Broadcasting for being biased.”
Trump Affirms Children from Conception
In a March 29th Presidential Proclamation, President Donald Trump declared April as “Child Abuse Prevention Month,” that referenced children from “the moment of conception”, reports Life News.
The president asserted that “we must always remember that all children are blessings from our Creator. They are endowed from conception with value, purpose, and human dignity.”
This isn’t the first time that the Trump Administration has stated that human life, beginning at conception, should be protected. In October 2017, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released a new strategic plan that defined life as beginning at conception for the first time.
Facebook Censors Christian Mother over “Frozen 2”
Recently, The World View cited the news story that Disney was considering the option of making Elsa a lesbian in the movie sequel Frozen 2, which would be a clear abuse of the misguided trust that millions of unsuspecting parents and grandparents still place in the entertainment giant.
Hannah Stowman, one of our Minnesotan listeners, shared a link to the petition which we had included in our transcript.
After sending about two dozen private messages through Facebook, Stowman explained that “Facebook started blocking the photo and part of the link. Today I tried re-sending one. It popped up with the message: ‘Send failed… (#368) The action attempted has been deemed abusive or is otherwise disallowed.’”
Stowman cited Facebook’s censorship in her blog entitled “Come, Be Still”.
Hawaii Fails to Protect Elderly, Disabled
Hawaii is going to be the sixth state to legalize physician-assisted suicide.

Pope Francis: There Is No Hell
And finally, in an interview published on March 28th in La Repubblica with his longtime atheist friend, Eugenio Scalfari, Pope Francis claims that Hell does not exist.
Scalfari asked, “But what about bad souls? Where are they punished?”
Pope Francis said, “They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate Him. But those who do not repent, and cannot therefore be forgiven, disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls.”
CNS News examines how The Catechism of the Catholic Church disagrees with that conclusion.
Revelation 21:8 says, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Special Report: Hawaii Embraces Physician-Assisted Suicide

It appears that Hawaii will be the sixth state to legalize the evil practice of physician-assisted suicide.
The Hawaii Senate passed it overwhelmingly in a vote of 23 to 2.
One of the two lone dissenters was Democratic Senator Breene Harimoto, who had his own battle with pancreatic cancer and attends Grace Bible Church, Pearlside. He said that he did not want to create an “environment of hopelessness” by voting for the bill.
Those for assisted suicide often say that it is a “dignified” way to die.
But The World View spoke to Monica Burke, Research Assistant for the DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society, a branch of the Heritage Foundation, that is speaking out against assisted suicide, about why the bill has “safeguards”, but those are the slippery slope to worse things.
“As we’ve seen in the states that have already legalized this practice, and as we’ve seen in European countries that have physician-assisted suicide, the slippery slope comes to pass pretty quickly.
“This is for several reasons. The bill that was passed in Hawaii has the standard safeguards which are supposed to protect patients, who, and again it’s horrible to use the rationale language of ‘those who’d be qualified’ to die or those who are authorized to receive these drugs and then die in their homes. But, as we’ve seen in other states, these safeguards are insufficient. Simply having a waiting period or having multiple doctors authorize these drugs is insufficient to address, for example, family members that might be pressuring an elderly grandparent to end their life.”
Burke remarked that physician-assisted suicide is part of the downward trend towards euthanasia.
“Some of the additional problems with assisted suicide is that it very quickly becomes a slippery slope for euthanasia. If the only standard is that somebody can authorize this treatment themselves, there’s no inherent reason why a doctor shouldn’t if in the ‘best interest’ of the patient, be allowed to authorize anyone whom they deem fit to die.”
Burke said that this is not a solution for the underlying problems.
“This doesn’t treat the underlying problems of why many of these patients ultimately decide to take this option which is that their experience is hopelessness. They might be struggling with depression, or they might feel that they’re a burden or they might feel that they’re a burden on society.”
Burke emphatically stated that there are alternatives that care for the lives of these people and doesn’t destroy them.
“There are alternatives that we need to be prioritizing such as palliative care in our policy and stop considering these harmful bills to legalize this practice.”
The World View asked Burke why it’s so important to speak out against these laws.
“From the policy perspective, that’s going to start with an emphatic ‘No’ to passing physician-assisted suicide. This not only creates a slippery slope for patients, it creates a slippery slope for physicians by violating the sacred bond between them and the patient whom they are sworn to protect and heal and attempt to heal.
“So I think from a policy perspective, start focusing on solutions to these problems of hopelessness and depression with therapies that are ultimately aimed at healing patients of their mental or physical ills or at least allowing them to die with dignity in the true sense. Allowing them to die of natural causes with team management, surrounded by other people who care about them, who can attend to them.”
Leviticus 19:32 is clear about the elderly people in our lives. “You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the LORD.”
And Genesis 1:27 is a powerful reminder that every human life is valuable because we were made in God’s image. “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Bill Cosby’s Second Sexual Assault Trial
The comedian and television star was once called “America’s Dad.”
But now as Bill Cosby faces his second sexual assault trial, more than half of those summoned Monday as potential jurors said they had already made up their minds about the case, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Of the 120 residents who showed up at the Norristown courthouse Monday, only 10 said they had not heard of the accounts of the more than 60 women who have since 2014 accused Cosby of sexual improprieties dating back decades.
Only one person said he was unfamiliar with the #MeToo movement, which has brought down the likes of Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein and TV personalities Matt Lauer and Bill O’Reilly.
Facebook Censors Crucifixion of Christ Ad
Facebook rejected an ad from the Franciscan Catholic University that included a depiction of the Crucifixion of Christ, reports the Washington Free Beacon.
The ad was rejected for its “shocking, sensational and excessively violent” content, the Ohio college said on its Twitter account.
University officials said they agreed that “it was certainly excessively violent: a man scourged to within an inch of his life, nailed naked to a cross and left to die, all the hate of all the sin in the world poured out its wrath upon his humanity.”
Rod Dreher of the American Conservative, said, “If Facebook, one of the most powerful media companies on the planet, “decides that it will not approve Christian content because it finds that content violent, bigoted, … then that will have a tremendous potential effect, not only on the ability of Christians to communicate, but on shaping the way the Christian faith is regarded widely in this post-Christian culture.”
