20 people killed, 26 injured  in El Paso Walmart

Twenty people were killed and 26 were injured in an attack Saturday morning at the Walmart in El Paso, Texas, reports the El Paso Times.

Children were holding a fundraiser at the store selling water bottles and some reportedly were among the casualties.

By the wall of the building, one man was lying on his side in a pool of blood, with a bandage on his back.  A voice tells him, “Try not to move. Stay with me, OK?”

Wailing is heard in the background, as people tend to others lying injured nearby.

The alleged suspect was identified as Patrick Crusius, 21, of Allen, Texas, a suburb of Dallas where he lived with his parents, twin sister and older brother. Wearing ear defenders, he first opened fire with an AK-47 in the parking lot outside the store.

As believers, we cling to the hope of heaven as revealed in Revelation 21:4 when God “will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore.”

El Paso shooter’s motive?  “Hispanic invasion of Texas”

What was the motive of the alleged gunman, Patrick Crusius?

According to a 4-page white nationalist manifesto posted on the website 8chan entitled The Inconvenient Truth, Crusius cited a “Hispanic invasion of Texas” less than an hour before he started killing people.

He was arrested without a shot being fired.

El Paso, which stands on the Rio Grande across the Mexico–United States border, is a city of 682,000, 85% of whom are Hispanic.

On Saturday, Trump tweeted: “Today’s shooting in El Paso, Texas was not only tragic, it was an act of cowardice. I know that I stand with everyone in this Country to condemn today’s hateful act. There are no reasons or excuses that will ever justify killing innocent people. Melania and I send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the great people of Texas.”

Dem pres. candidate blames Trump for Walmart massacre

Beto O’Rourke, the former Democratic Congressman from El Paso and now presidential candidate blamed President Donald Trump in part for the Walmart massacre, reports Breitbart.com.

O’ROURKE: “We’ve had a rise in hate crimes every single one of the last three years during an administration where you have a president who’s called Mexicans rapists and criminals. Though Mexican immigrants commit crimes at far lower rates than those born in this country, he has tried to make us afraid of them to some real effect and consequence. … He is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country … and it leads to violence.”

Second mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio

In a second mass shooting within 12 hours, 9 people were killed and 27 were injured in Dayton, Ohio near Ned Peppers Bar on East Fifth, reports the Dayton Daily News.

Connor Betts, age 24, of Bellbrook, who has been identified as the suspected shooter, was shot dead within one minute.

Trump’s Chief of Staff: Not fair to blame President for shootings

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney on Sunday said on ABC’s “This Week” yesterday morning, “I don’t think it’s fair to try and lay this at the feet of the president”, reports RealClearPolitics.com.

MULVANEY: “I blame the people who pulled the trigger, Chuck. Goodness gracious. Are you really, is someone really blaming the President? These people are sick.  … You can go and read the things that the person wrote.  He’s felt this way for a long time, from even before President Trump got elected.  My guess is that this guy is in that parking lot in El Paso, Texas, in that Walmart doing this even if Hillary Clinton is president.”

Google engineer fired over conservative views

Kevin Cernekee, a Google engineer, was fired for daring to voice his conservative political views, reports PJMedia.com.

Appearing on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show on Friday, he explained that he faced relentless bullying and intimidation by Google, even being added to an internal blacklist.

CERNEKEE: “When I joined Google, I saw a lot of employees being mistreated and abused and harassed for sharing conservative views or just for questioning company policies.  I raised these issues with all the appropriate channels; I raised it through HR, went to VP’s, eventually wound up filing a charge with the Labor Board.  Google decided they did not like this investigator and they made a lot of false accusations against me and they fired me.”

Cernekee cited an example of Google’s liberal bias.

CERNEKEE: “One thing I saw when I worked there was if you do a Google search for “Crippled America”, which is Donald Trump’s book, you would get results showing “Mein Kamp” [by Adolf Hitler] instead of “Crippled America.” I reported that and filed a bug, I escalated that, I tried to run it up the chain. They took nine months to fix that bug. They just stalled at every opportunity. … They made every excuse in the book to avoid taking down something that made Donald Trump look bad.”

And the former Google engineer noted that the company will do their level best to defeat Trump in 2020.

CERNEKEE: “They have openly stated that they think 2016 was a mistake.  They thought Trump should have lost in 2016. They really want Trump to lose in 2020.  … They have quite a bit of control over the political process, so that’s something we should really worry about.”

More than 90 percent of political contributions from employees of Google’s parent company, went to Democrats since 2004. And in 2018, 96 percent went to Democrats.

Texas woman celebrates 110th birthday, credits God

And finally, a Texas woman who was born all the way back in 1909 has credited God’s unfailing faithfulness for keeping her healthy all these years, reports FaithWire.com.

Born the year the Oval Office was built, Elizabeth Francis, who just celebrated her 110th birthday, is pretty healthy for a woman who has lived through both World Wars and has seen six generations of family life. The Houstonian credits the secret to a long life to the “blessing of the Lord.”

FRANCIS: “He’s the one keeping me. That’s why I’m living.”

Isaiah 46:4 says, “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He; I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you.”
