Terrorist Attack in London

A man in his 20’s from the U.K. was arrested on suspicion of terrorism in London yesterday morning after he struck and injured three pedestrians and cyclists with his silver Ford Fiesta before crashing into barriers outside Parliament, reports The Telegraph.

Trump’s Benedict Arnold

President Trump’s campaign organization filed for arbitration yesterday against friend-turned-enemy Omarosa Manigault Newman, claiming that she broke a 2016 nondisclosure contract by disparaging the president in her new book Unhinged and revealing private talks which she recorded from the ultra-secret White House Situation Room, reports The Washington Examiner.

Omarosa has turned on her former friend and employer, calling him unfit for office, claiming he used racist language during the filming of “The Apprentice.”

But Trump tweeted, “I don’t have that word in my vocabulary, and never have. She made it up.”

301 Abuser-Priests in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro yesterday discussed the findings of a just-released state grand jury investigation of alleged child sexual abuse by 301 predator priests and clergy in six Catholic dioceses, including Pittsburgh and Greensburg.

“The investigation into widespread sexual abuse of children within the Catholic Church and the systematic cover up by senior church officials in Pennsylvania and at the Vatican.

“Moments ago, an 884-page report, issued unanimously by the 40th statewide investigative grand jury — the largest, most comprehensive report into child sexual abuse within the Catholic Church ever produced in the United States — was released.

“It builds on The Boston Globe’s Spotlight report which identified 229 abuser-priests.”

“In God We Trust” Displayed in Florida Public Schools

Thanks to Republican Governor Rick Scott, public schools in Florida will be required to display signs with the official state motto “In God We Trust” in a prominent place starting this week.

The motto echoes Proverbs 3:5. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Bible Study Banned on Private Property

Sewickley Heights, Pennsylvania is one of the wealthiest municipalities in the state. But, according to a CBN report, it will also become known as the place that bans Bible studies on private property.

Scott and Terri Fetterolf, who have owned their 32-acre farm for 15 years, have been ordered to cease and desist their Bible studies. Authorities characterized them as a “special or studio school”, which requires the homeowner to go through a lengthy conditional use approval process.

If the Fetterolfs continue Bible studies without obtaining permission or conduct any worship nights, religious retreats, or religious fundraisers, the borough will fine the Christian couple $500 per day.

“Homosexuals” Can Embrace Their God-Given Heterosexuality

A new study is challenging the politically correct contention of the American Psychological Association that therapies for unwanted homosexual attraction are harmful, reports The Christian Post.

The study, “Effects of Therapy on Religious Men Who Have Unwanted Same-Sex Attraction,” which was first published July 23 in The Linacre Quarterly, finds that sexual orientation change efforts, often derisively called “conversion therapy,” improves the mental health of participants. Researchers surveyed 125 male residents of the United States. The men, mostly Christian, were at various stages of experiencing unwanted homosexual attraction. Some were involved in fornication while others were abstaining.

Over 80 percent reported they had some degree of depression and an inclination to suicide at the beginning of therapy. Thankfully, nearly 70 percent of respondents self-reported “some to much” reduction in their homosexual attraction and an increase in their opposite-sex attraction.

Apple’s Steve Jobs Might Have Been Aborted

The biological mother of Apple founder Steve Jobs was an unwed graduate student who arranged for his adoption in 1955, 18 years before abortion became legal in America by way of Roe v. Wade, writes Star Parker for Life News.

“If Jobs had been conceived 18 years later, or if Roe v. Wade had become the law of the land 18 years earlier, there is some chance that there never would have been a Steve Jobs. The life that would have become Steve Jobs could have been another in the vast sea of abortion statistics. There would be no Macs, iPods or iPhones.”

Jeremiah 1:5 declares, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”

Italian Bridge Collapsed, Killing 26; Incredible Survivor Story

And finally, a 51-year-old highway bridge in the Italian port city of Genoa collapsed in a driving rain yesterday, killing at least 26 people and injuring 15 others as it sent dozens of vehicles tumbling into a heap of concrete and twisted steel, reports The Associated Press.

Davide Capello, 33, who is a soccer goalkeeper, described the moment his car plunged when the road gave way, according to The Sun.

He said, “I went down with the bridge; I do not know what saved me. I heard a dull sound, I saw the road going down and I was going down with her. I was lucid and I immediately called the firemen, then my family. It was shocking. I feel miraculous.”

Trump Champions Christian Contractors

The Trump administration, through the Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs, has issued a directive to protect the rights of faith-based federal contractors who have religious objections to homosexual faux marriage and homosexuality, reports The Christian Post.

Mat Staver, president of the conservative religious freedom law group Liberty Counsel, said, “I commend the Trump administration …  for taking a strong stand in this new policy directive to protect the religious freedom of individuals and organizations under federal law and the U.S. Constitution.”

Trump, McConnell Quietly Re-Shape Highest Courts

As the Senate moves toward confirming Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are leading a lower-key yet deeply consequential charge to remake the entire federal judiciary, reports The Washington Post.

The Senate already has installed 24 appellate court judges since Trump was sworn in, the highest number for a president’s first two years in office.

While much of the focus has been on Kavanaugh and Justice Neil Gorsuch, the Senate’s rapid approval of appellate court judges is likely to have its own broad impact on the nation, as the 13 circuit courts will shape decisions on immigration, voting rights, abortion and the environment for generations.

There are 179 authorized judgeships for the U.S. Court of Appeals. With 24 confirmations and 13 vacancies to fill, Trump and the Republicans have the power to install more than 20 percent of the judges on the nation’s second-highest courts.

T.D. Jakes’ Wife Touts Yoga

Serita Jakes, wife of popular televangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes, has reignited debate over the practice of yoga among Christians after she shared a series of photos showing members of a women’s group at The Potter’s House of Dallas enjoying a “taste of yoga” as a part of a healthy living endeavor.

The post sparked debate with critics saying it’s wrong for Christians to practice yoga.

While yoga was developed in India in a primarily Hindu culture, the group says, it was intended as a universal human practice and can be used as a good health exercise for Christians.

Well-known evangelical theologian John Piper expressed his opposition to yoga, calling it “antithetical” to Christianity.

And Christian writer Matt Walsh wrote, “The physical practices of yoga are expressly designed to open ourselves up to enlightenment (Hindu enlightenment that is). The intended final stage of yoga is to achieve a state called Samadhi, where the self disappears and you are brought into an unthinking trance.

“I don’t think you’ll automatically be possessed [by demons] if you do yoga. I don’t think all yoga practitioners go to Hell. But neither do I see how a pagan ritual could ever help someone get to Heaven, and maybe that’s reason enough to leave it alone.”

Mainstream Media Honors Loss of Orca’s Calf, Ignores Human Abortion

On July 24th, a 20-year-old mother orca or killer whale named Tahlequah gave birth to her calf, a female, near Victoria, British Columbia, but the calf died soon afterward, reports USA Today.

For 17 days, an unusually long time, she mourned by preventing her baby from sinking, nudging it toward the surface of the Pacific off the coast of Canada and the Northwestern United States before releasing it into the ocean this week.

The Guardian said, it was “an image of grief that struck an emotional chord worldwide.” CNN opined, “It was a journey of love, driven by a mother’s loss, stretching across a thousand miles of ocean as the world watched and wondered.”

Yet, as Life News asserts, there is virtually no mainstream media attention for the 2,000 human babies killed in America every day by abortions or the grieving mothers and fathers who learned too late that the abortion did not empower or free them. It only left them with a dead child.

Widow of Sutherland Springs, Texas Church Killer Speaks

Texas shooter Devin Kelley, who massacred 26 people inside the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs last November, apologized for his actions shortly before he shot himself, his 23-year-old widow Danielle has revealed.

According to the San Antonio Express-News, she said, “He kept saying how sorry he was.”

Devin was captured on the church’s video recorder shooting his victims, which included several young children, execution-style. He shot them as they sang “Are You Washed in the Blood?” At least eight members of one family, including a pregnant mother, were also killed and 20 others wounded.
