Dr. James Dobson: “Have We No Compassion? Have We No Shame?”
Dr. James Dobson, host of FamilyTalk, declared, “February 25, 2019, is a disgraceful day in the history of the U.S. Senate, which failed to pass legislation that would have protected newborn babies, some of them at full term, from infanticide. These pitiful babies come into the world wounded after attempts to abort them and are then left to die on porcelain trays, alone and frightened, without the warmth and comfort of their mothers’ breast. Have we no heart for these vulnerable little human beings? Have we no compassion? Have we no shame?”
Dr. Dobson also said, “God Himself created these precious babies who encountered a cruel, cold world, where they would spend their last minutes or hours of life, a few steps from doctors and nurses who could have saved them. It is unconscionable that 44 Democrats voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
“It remains legal in nearly half of America to murder babies—outside their mother’s womb—after they survived a botched abortion. God forgive us!”
As of 2014, only 26 states had laws mandating medical care for babies who somehow survived botched abortions. Furthermore, New York’s recently passed law removed that state’s protection for children who are born alive after an abortion.
Rep. Chris Smith: They Threw Her Born Baby in the Trash!
Yesterday, in a press conference outside the United States Capitol, Republican Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey shared a heart-wrenching story.
SMITH: “In a Florida abortion clinic, Sycloria Williams delivered a live baby girl at 23 weeks. According to Sycloria’s lawyer, ‘she came face to face with human being. And that changed everything.’
“The clinic owner took the baby, who was gasping for air, cut her umbilical cord, threw her into a bio-hazard bag and put the bag in the trash. Sycloria later had a funeral for her baby girl whom she named Shanice. We need to provide protection for babies like Shanice and recourse for mothers like Sycloria.
“In Sycloria’s home state of Florida in 2007, 11 babies were born alive during abortions. The CDC reports that in Florida, over a 10-year period, 143 babies died after being born during the abortion process. The number is likely to be a very low estimate due to poor reporting practices.
“You all remember Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell who operated for decades, under the radar, breaking the law with impunity. He was convicted of killing a number of children and a woman at his abortion mill. The grand Jury summarized it so very well.
“They said, ‘Gosnell had a simple solution for the unwanted babies he delivered: He killed them.’ He didn’t call it that. He called it ‘ensuring fetal demise.’ The way he ensured fetal demise was sticking scissors into the back of the baby’s neck and cutting the spinal cord, and he called that ‘snipping.’
“This legislation, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, builds on the 2002 Act which did not have sanctions against those who would kill the baby. It holds the woman who gets the abortion harmless. There’s no way she will be prosecuted, but it creates a standard of care for that child who is born during the abortion process, needs to be treated just like any other preemie — rushed to a hospital, given the kind of resuscitation and care that any other preemie would receive.
“We call on Speaker Pelosi, as a matter of humanitarianism, to bring up this very important life-saving bill.”
Rep. Roger Marshall: “God Will Not Bless This Country if We Let This Happen”
Republican Congressman Roger Marshall of Kansas, who delivered 5,000 babies during his career as an obstetrician, cited Esther 4:14, when Mordecai told Queen Esther that God gave her the opportunity, “for such a time as this”, to speak out against the wholesale destruction of the Jewish people.
MARSHALL: “Americans are not going to be in favor of killing newborn babies. Call it infanticide. I call it murdering little babies. God will not bless this country if we let this happen. ‘For such a time as this,’ we’ve all been called.”
Indeed, in Matthew 5:13, Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”
Georgia Homeschool Kids, 13 and 11, Called All 100 Senators!
Allyson Reed, the salty homeschool Georgian mother of nine children, wrote me at Adam@TheWorldView.com. What she said brought me to the brink of tears.
“Adam, Thank you for always challenging The Worldview in 5 Minutes listeners to get involved with politics and beyond. On Monday morning our children and I listened to the broadcast at breakfast, and then we made two phone calls (on speaker phone) while we were all still at the dining room table to our two Georgia senators, asking them to please vote ‘yes’ for the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
“After making those two calls, two of our nine children, Lauren (13) and Timmy (11) asked if they could please call the remaining 98 senators to ask them to vote ‘yes’ to the bill as well. They spent the remainder of the day making calls, until they had spoken with every senator’s office.
“Our family was devastated when we found out that the bill did not receive enough votes to pass. We will continue to pray! But, thank you for providing ways for our children to be involved. We are grateful!”
What You Can Do to Take a Stand Against Killing Newborn Babies
In addition to prayer, there are 2 things you can do.
- Call your Congressman at 202-225-3121 and him or her to support the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
- Go to this website www.EndBirthdayAbortion.com. For every $9 you give to Family Research Council, they’ll send a little newborn baby hat to Congress on your behalf. The goal? 90,000 newborn baby hats flooding the offices of Congressmen. That’s www.EndBirthdayAbortion.com.
Christian Teen Makes $35,000 in 4 Days, Tithes 20%, Gives Glory to God
And finally, David Holston, an 18-year-old attendee with his father Mike at a Generations Father-Son Retreat, is not only a budding entrepreneur, but he’s quick to give God all the glory for his success.
A landscaper during the warmer months in Idaho and a snow plower during the colder months, Holston was in Seattle, Washington visiting his mother, who was recovering from surgery.
When he learned that Seattle was going to be hit hard by snow, 10 inches in some places, Holston placed a CraigsList ad about his availability, and drove back to Idaho to get his plow-truck.
For his first job, he cleared a cool $1,000. The money kept rolling in.
According to CNN, Holston received calls to clear mostly commercial parking lots along with some residential neighborhoods. At rates of $500 to $750 an hour, he made an astounding $35,000 in four days.
Holston told Fox News, “I plan on tithing 20 percent to advance the kingdom of God, buy mowers for this year’s mowing season, and save the rest for buying my first house debt free! I credit all of my success to my savior Jesus Christ who died on a cross to forgive my sins and three days later rose from the dead.”
His theme Bible verse for the snow plow trip was Luke 12:31: “But seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.”
He said, “The Lord blessed me with the money for the sole purpose of advancing His kingdom. All of the glory goes to God!”
