Church of England school educators okay with sexual grooming
The Church of England is refusing to intervene on parental concerns of mandatory indoctrination in homosexuality and other sexual perversions in schools connected with the church, reports Decision Magazine.
Nigel Genders, the Church of England’s chief education officer, has stated that the church is referring the matter to the government.
Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre, has pointed out that “The Church of England has a uniquely influential position in the lives of children in this country through its network of schools. We know children do best when they understand and are taught that they are made in the image of God. Many parents want to send their children to Church of England schools because of their Christian foundations that are rooted in Biblical morality.
“How is it that the Church of England’s education authorities and leadership shy away from contending for that truth and prefer to look to the state for guidance rather than the Bible itself?”
Here is a word for the Church of England from Joshua 1:7. “Be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left.”
Surge in British homeschooling
The U.K. Dept of Education reported a total of 86,000 students homeschooled for the spring of 2023 within the country.
That’s up from 39,000 in 2016 — a 120% increase in just seven years!
America’s homeschooling increase more moderate
To compare, over the same time period, official numbers from North Carolina here in America saw an increase of 30% — from 118,268 to 152,717. However, there was only a 7% increase since 2019.
The United States has around 4,000,000 homeschooled students, according to recent estimates.
Pakistan’s political pandemonium
Political instability is rocking the nation of Pakistan.
Fifty-four people were killed and 200 people wounded in a bomb attack at a political rally for a hardliner running for office, reports the Associated Press. ISIS claimed responsibility.
Earlier this year, another 100 Pakistanis were killed in a bomb attack on a mosque in January. And, in February, a police headquarters in Karachi came under an hour-long armed attack resulting in the deaths of two soldiers and two Muslim militants.
Barbie movie’s bankrupt feminism
The world is resonating with Barbie, that is, Barbie: The Movie.
In its second week out of the gate, the movie has moved into the position of the largest Box Office blockbuster in the comedy genre with over $700 million in receipts.
The film highlights the bankruptcy and what is perceived as the “blessings” of feminism over the last 60 years of experimentation with it, as Daniel Blackaby noted in his Christian review.
Men making less; women making more
The Bureau of Labor Statistics has calculated inflation-adjusted earnings for men and women, and found that men are, on average, making less money per week than they were in 1979 — a total of a 4% drop.
Meanwhile, women, on average, are making 32% more than they did in 1979, on weekly earnings.
In addition, the price of the average house has risen 635% since 1979, from $68,000 to $500,000. Median household income has not kept pace, increasing by 325% over the same period of time.
Interestingly, average homes are also 46% larger by square footage, expanding from 1,700 square feet in 1980 to 2,480 square feet in 2021.
America’s gambling problem
Americans are gambling more than ever.
Powerball has collected total jackpots exceeding $1 billion twice in the last several weeks. The program issued a $1.35 billion jackpot on January 13th, and a record $2 billion last November.
Proverbs 13:11 says, “Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.”
22 million people believe violence justifiable to restore abortion
Disturbingly, 22 million Americans believe that violence is appropriate for restoring the “rights” to abortion or the killing of children in their mother’s wombs. That’s according to a University of Chicago survey that has been conducted since last year.
Plus, the percentage of Democrats advocating violence to restore abortion rights has doubled from 8% to 16% in the last six months.
Vandalism, arson, gun-related incidents against American churches
The Family Research Council has reported that between 2018 and 2023, American churches have suffered 442 acts of vandalism, 71 cases of arson, 15 gun-related incidents, and 14 bomb threats.
Ready for two blue moons this month?
August is a blue moon month!
That means there will be two full moons in the same month, on August 1st and 31st, reports CBS News.
Now, what makes this special is that both full moons also happen to be super moons. The moon will look a bit larger, due to the fact that the moon is swinging closer to Earth in its rotation this month.
