Sixteen Nigerian Christians released from captivity

Sixteen Nigerians Christians in the Kaduna State were released on June 4th after having been abducted on May 7, reports Christian Solidarity Worldwide.

While 40 members of the Bege Baptist Church were abducted by armed Fulani Muslim militia when they attacked during the church’s Sunday service, the majority managed to escape.  The 16 who were just freed had remained in the hands of their captors for almost a month.

Rev. John Joseph Hayab, the Kaduna State Chair of the Christian Association of Nigeria, explained that members of the local Muslim community had contributed funds towards the ransom, and had also purchased a motorcycle requested by the abductors as part of the payment.

Hayab said, “We are grateful to the local Muslims who contributed towards the ransom, and pray that from now onwards the two religious communities will work together to bring this painful era of kidnapping, violence and killings to an end.”

Biden broke flag protocol

On Saturday, President Joe Biden broke flag protocol during the sexual perversion pride celebration at the White House, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes.

A photograph from the event shows the Progress Homosexual Transgender Pride flag front and center — flanked by two American flags. However, flag protocol states that the U.S. flag should always be front and center. Unless, of course, the White House was sending a subtle message that the nation has a new flag.

Not surprisingly, the president used the event to call for children to be medically mutilated and he also praised transgenderism.

Daniel Quasar, who designed the Progress Homosexual Transgender Flag in 2018, is an animator for RuPaul’s Drag Race tour.

Gary Bauer blasts indictment of Donald Trump

Gary Bauer, a former Reagan advisor, founder of Campaign for Working Families, and the author of the End of Day Report, had four responses to the Thursday indictment of Donald Trump on seven federal criminal counts in connection with hundreds of classified government documents he retained at his Florida home.

He wrote, “First, this is yet another example of federal law enforcement agencies, meant to protect us from criminals and foreign enemies, being turned against us and employed as a weapon against half of America and Donald Trump. The purpose of this indictment is to turn the one candidate that the Biden Administration and the Left fears most into a criminal to ensure that the Left keeps power.

“Second, the natural reaction to this news is to respond based on whether you like or dislike Donald Trump.  That is a mistake.  Our reaction should be based on whether we believe in the rule of law or whether we are willing to surrender our constitutional Republic to fascist left-wing extremists. This will be the sixth time that the Deep State has been deployed by the Democrat Party to interfere in an election.”

Bauer concluded, “Third, the depth of the corruption in our federal institutions and their politicization is breathtaking.  No reasonable person can believe it is merely a coincidence that just as the FBI is forced to reveal a document that finally puts the corruption charges against Biden on the front pages, Trump is suddenly indicted with predictable results.  Biden’s corruption is off the front page, and the charges against Trump are everywhere.

“And fourth, this action reveals the Biden campaign strategy in 2024.  He will hide in the White House basement while government agencies, established to protect us, are used to go after Donald Trump and conservative leaders.”

Students forced to make idol & do pagan ritual in class

A Lexington, Ohio public school teacher required the students in a fifth-grade class to made an idol during school hours after which the children were forced to participate in a pagan ritual, reports Frontlines Ohio.

A kachina doll is a religious doll that Southwest Native Americans carve and paint to teach their kids about different Hopi spirits. They believe each spirit has special powers, such as providing food and water for the community, healing the sick, offering individual protection, and carrying dreams to Heaven.

According to the handout, the students were instructed, back in February, to make the dolls in class, name them, and then describe their special spiritual powers.

In fact, the lesson plan states, “These dolls were used in ceremonies to teach children about the beliefs of the tribe and the gods.”

Benjamin Mutti, whose son was forced to participate in this exercise, didn’t find out about any of this until a month later.  Mr. Mutti and his wife, who are Messianic Jews, believe the assignment violated the Second Commandment, found in Exodus 20:4, which proclaims, “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the Earth beneath, or that is in the water under the Earth.”

The American Center for Law & Justice, which is representing the Muttis, noted that the school did not give any parents the ability to opt their child out of the class. In addition, the attorney said, “No Christian should ever be forced to participate in idol worship in a public school.”

107-year-old woman’s secret: Live by the Golden Rule

And finally, one in every 5,000 people in America makes it to the ripe old age of 100. And 85% of them are women.

A week ago Friday, Julia Mae Hunter-Rice celebrated her 107th birthday in Meridian, Mississippi.

Born on June 2, 1916, she enjoyed the day surrounded by her close friends and family.  In addition to eating a burger and indulging in cake, she danced as her loved ones sang happy birthday.

Her daughter, Dorthy Dickson, revealed her secret to longevity to WTOK-TV.

DICKSON: “She always stood for that which is right.”

Her other daughter, Anabelle, said she has lived by the motto: treat people the way you would want to be treated.

That comes straight out of the Bible.  In Matthew 7:12, Jesus said, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
