Iraqi Muslims target Christians
The United Nations released a report recently, documenting the Islamic State’s crimes against humanity and war crimes against the Christian community in Iraq.
Militants with the Islamic State made a bloody attempt in 2014 to set up a caliphate in the country. They met eventual defeat in 2017. However, sleeper cells with the group continue to make attacks.
The U.N. report said the Islamic extremists were guilty of “forcibly transferring and persecuting Christians, seizing their property, engaging in sexual violence, enslavement and other ‘inhumane acts,’ such as forced conversions and destruction of cultural and religious sites.”
Spanish Evangelicals number 400,000
The Evangelical population continues to grow in Spain, now numbering over 400,000.
Máximo Álvarez with Evangelism in Depth said they have reached 940 of Spain’s municipalities with over 4,000 Evangelical churches.
With over 8,000 municipalities in the historically Roman Catholic country, that leaves much work left to be done.
Álvarez said, “We have to plan how to develop church planting, to go and make disciples. That is what moves us.”
Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Guam considers Heartbeat Bill
Lawmakers in the U.S. territory of Guam are considering a bill to ban abortions on babies with detectable heartbeats.
The Guam Heartbeat Act of 2022 advanced last week, and final debate on the bill began on Monday.
Like U.S. state legislatures, Guam is responding to the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Guam does not currently have any abortion mills, but the American Civil Liberties Union is challenging the territory’s previous abortion regulations in an attempt to bring back abortions.
Biden signs homosexual/polygamous faux marriage bill into law
Yesterday, on the lawn of the White House and in front of a group of sexual perversion activists, President Joe Biden signed the “Disrespect for Marriage” bill into law which not only greenlights the codification of homosexual faux marriage nationally, but also polygamous faux marriage (look at answer to question 7 in previous link) if one state decides to pass such a law, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
Listen to the president’s disturbing attempt to wrap the American flag around immoral behavior which God has called an abomination.
BIDEN: “Today’s a good day. (cheers) A day America takes a vital step toward equality, toward liberty and justice — not just for some, but for everyone — toward creating a nation where decency, dignity, and love are recognized, honored, and protected. (cheers) Today, I signed the ‘Respect for Marriage Act’ into law. (cheers) Deciding whether to marry, who to marry is one of the most profound decisions a person can make.”

Idaho Christian students victorious in college free speech case
Three Christian law students won a $90,000 suit against the University of Idaho last week in a free speech case.
The university issued no-contact orders to the students for expressing Biblical views on marriage. The students were also members of the Christian Legal Society chapter at the university.
As part of the lawsuit, the university has rescinded its no-contact order. Peter Perlot, Mark Miller, and Ryan Alexander are now free to express their religious beliefs without repercussion.
Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema leaves Democratic Party
U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona announced last Friday she is leaving the Democratic Party to become an independent. Sinema said she is declaring independence from the “broken partisan system in Washington.”
SINEMA: “A growing number of Arizonans, and people like me, just don’t feel like we fit neatly into one party’s box or the other, like many across the state in the nation. I’ve decided to leave that partisan process and really just focus on the work that I think matters to Arizona and to our country, which is solving problems and getting things done.”
Democrats were expecting a 51-50 Senate majority with Sen. Raphael Warnock’s win in Georgia last week. However, after Sinema’s move, Vice President Kamala Harris may have to continue casting a tie-breaking vote.
Sinema said she won’t be joining the Republican caucus. Her vote has been something of an outlier for Democrats like that of Democrat Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, who himself signaled that he might also become an Independent in light of the fact there are more registered Republicans in West Virginia than Democrats, reports Forbes.
47% of Christians think this is the end times
A new Pew Research survey found 39% of American adults believe humanity is living in the end times, while 58% disagreed.
Christians were more divided. Forty-seven percent believe the end times are here, while 49% disagree.
Ten percent of adults and 14% of Christians believe Jesus will return to Earth in their lifetime. Thirty-seven percent of Christians weren’t sure if Jesus would return in their lifetime, 25% said He would not return in their lifetime, and 22% said He would not return at all.
The study also found 20% of U.S. adults believe Jesus will return after a worsening of global conditions, while 3% believe Christ will return after an improvement in conditions leading to a high point of peace and prosperity.
Speaking of Christ, Psalm 110:1-2 says, “The LORD said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.’ The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!”
Nuclear fusion breakthrough
And finally, U.S. scientists announced a breakthrough in nuclear fusion yesterday.
For the first time, they were able to produce more energy from a fusion experiment than they put into it. However, energy from nuclear fusion still has a long way to go.
The breakthrough comes after decades of research into harnessing fusion. The same process that powers our sun and other stars could be a near-limitless source of clean energy.
