Turkey forcing foreign Christians to leave or banning their return

Dozens of foreign Christians in Turkey have been forced to leave the country or have been banned from returning in what appears to be government targeting of the Protestant Christian community, reports Evangelical Focus.

For example, on June 5th, Turkey’s Ministry of Interior notified one foreign Christian, Joy Anna Subasigüller, a U.S.-born mother of three married to a Turkish pastor, that her family visa was denied, according to the German media outlet Deutsch Welle.

Subasigüller, who has lived in Turkey for 10 years, is a stay-at-home mom of three children ages 4, 2, and 4 months. Her children, like their father, pastor Lütfü Subasigüller, are Turkish citizens, and she suspects the decision to deport her is related to his Christian work.

Please pray today that Turkey would stop this persecution of foreign Christians.

Let’s join King David when he prayed, “I call on you, my God, for You will answer me; turn Your ear to me and hear my prayer.” (Psalm 17:6)

Joe Biden picks radical leftist Kamala Harris for Vice President

Joe Biden picked Sen. Kamala Harris of California for Vice President. The daughter of immigrants from Jamaica and India, she previously served as California’s Attorney General.

The New York Times tweeted that the radical leftist is “a pragmatic moderate.”

Matt Whitlock, a National Republican Senatorial Committee senior advisor asked, “What is she moderate on? She supported Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, late-term abortion, repealing tax cuts. There’s nothing moderate about her,” reports Fox News.

GovTrack scores her as the fourth most Liberal member of the Senate behind Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Bernie Sanders of Vermont, and Jeff Merkley of Oregon, reports Fox News.

Republican Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas was especially disturbed that Harris laughed at the idea that the Constitution would prevent her from confiscating guns.

In addition, Kamala Harris has received a 100% rating from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, a 100% rating from the homosexual Human Rights Campaign Fund, an 86% rating from the leftist ACLU, and a 0% rating from conservative groups FreedomWorks and NumbersUSA.

Tony Perkins, Family Research Council President, said, “Vice President Biden has already endorsed taxpayer funded abortions and embraced late term abortions. And now he has chosen a vice presidential candidate who voted to leave perfectly healthy newborns on hospital tables to die and as the attorney general of California went after pro-life activists for exposing Planned Parenthood for illegally selling aborted baby body parts.”

During the Democratic presidential debates, Harris took direct aim at Joe Biden over his opposition to busing to desegregate the schools.

HARRIS: “I’m gonna now direct this at Vice President Biden. It was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators [Mississippi Senator James Eastland and Georgia Senator Herman Talmadge] who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country. It was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose busing. There was a little girl in California, who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools. And she was bused to school every day. And that little girl was me. On this subject, it cannot be an intellectual debate among Democrats. We have to take it seriously.”

Ari Fleisher, the former White House Press Secretary for George W. Bush, charged Harris with being “a fake, empty-suit. She accused Biden of being a segregationist, but then agrees to run with him. Either she faked her allegation against Biden, or she’s faking now.”

Chapman Univ. students want to remove Reagan, Thatcher busts

An online petition calling for Chapman University to remove five busts from campus, including those of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, has garnered more than 700 signatures, reports JustTheNews.com.

The petition wording laughably proclaims, “In order to create a safer and more inclusive environment for Chapman’s marginalized students and community, we feel the busts of Ronald Reagan, Albert Schweitzer, Margaret Thatcher, Milton Friedman and Ayn Rand need to be removed and replaced.”

Christian men addicted to pornography can be set free

And finally, The Worldview spoke with Luke Imperato, a Biblical Counselor with Pure Life Ministries based in Williamstown, Kentucky about the danger of viewing pornography.

IMPERATO: “I’d say one of the biggest problems that men have when they’re addicted to pornography is they’re able to hide their sin and live in darkness. That’s what makes pornography such an overwhelming issue. It’s so easy to hide.”

Imperato said that pornography doesn’t pay off.

IMPERATO: “The promise is immediate gratification, immediate sexual pleasure, with no strings attached. While sin may be pleasurable for a season, it certainly doesn’t satisfy and will not last. And it’s almost always followed by grief, shame, darkness.”

Imperato issued a Biblical challenge to Christian men addicted to pornography.

IMPERATO: “For the Christian, breaking free from pornography can be summed up in one word:  repentance. When you really are honest and confess the problem, things start to happen. Who knows? Does your pastor know? Does your wife know?  You have to live in the light. That in itself oftentimes breaks a lot of the addiction.”

Imperato also recommends accountability through computer software like MMGuardian.com and CovenantEyes.com.

Watch a powerful 3-minute trailer for their DVD curriculum entitled “At the Altar of Sexual Idolatry” which we have linked in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com.

If you have reached rock bottom because of your addiction to pornography, prayerfully consider Pure Life’s 9-month residential program.

1 Corinthians 10:13 gives every man hope.  “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

Fauci: Highly effective COVID vaccine is highly unlikely

White House coronavirus advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said Friday that the chances of scientists creating a highly effective vaccine — one that provides 98% or more guaranteed protection — are slim, reports CNBC.com.

Scientists are hoping for a coronavirus vaccine that is at least 75% effective, but 50% or 60% effective would be acceptable.

Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said, “The chances of it being 98% effective is not great, which means you must never abandon the public health approach.”

Big Ten Conference cancels all fall sports

For over eight decades, the Big Ten Conference, the oldest Division I collegiate athletic conference in the United States, has featured the athletic competitions among ten universities.

The presidents and chancellors of those universities voted Tuesday to postpone all fall sports seasons amid the coronavirus pandemic with the hopes of playing in the spring, reports ESPN.

The fall sports included in this announcement are men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball.
