Hindu extremists beat Christians, tear Bibles, steal offering box

On September 8th, 50 Hindu extremists disrupted a worship service of 40 Christians, beat individuals, tore Bibles, broke church supplies, and stole the offering box – and live-streamed all of it on Facebook. The assailants, from the youth militant group Bajrang Dal, led the attack in Domchanch villa of the Koderma District in the Jharkhand state, reports International Christian Concern.

Pastor Manohar Varnwal was threatened and temporarily locked up by police.

The livestream ended when the Hindu leader said, “our job is to make this area free of Christianity”.

800 Irish pro-life doctors, nurses take a stand against abortion

Saying  that their “consciences demand that we not be silent”, over 800 Irish healthcare professionals have outlined their opposition to new abortion laws due to come into effect by October 22nd, reports Christian Today.

Dr. Andrew Cupples told the Belfast Telegraph he feared for the right to conscientious objection, saying, “We have a lot of Christians who very strongly feel that the unborn child is a human being with value and worth. We also have a strong compassion and a real desire to care for women in crisis pregnancies.”

Senator Ted Cruz exposes why Democrats want to impeach Trump

Last Friday, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz explained what is animating the Democrats, reports Fox News.

CRUZ: “Congressional Democrats are angry. They’re angry about the 2016 election and ultimately they’re angry at the voters. They’re angry that the voters elected President Trump. From day one, they had been wanting to get this president out of office. And as a result, they’re not doing their job. They’re not actually interested in legislating. They’re not actually interested in working together to produce more jobs and raise wages and expand opportunity.”

Senator Cruz weighed in on the impeachment push by the Democrats.

CRUZ: “What we have seen from the Democrats is a consistent and relentless push to impeach — regardless of the facts, So, for months and months and months, it was all about Mueller.  Mueller, Mueller, Mueller. Mueller is going to prove everything’s wrong.  Then the Mueller report came in and it found no collusion. And suddenly all the Democrats have been screaming impeach, they have nothing to say.  Right now, they’re all screaming Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine.  And oddly enough, it’s the exact same conclusion: impeach the president. By the way, in a month or two, it’s liable to be something else.”

NC Bishop condemns cross-dressing NFL player, sportscasters

North Carolina Bishop Patrick Wooden Sr., founder of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ in Raleigh, has rebuked Carolina Panthers star quarterback Cam Newton for “dressing like a woman” at a recent news conference wearing a headscarf, a silky blue suit, and gold shoes, reports the Christian Post.

While Newton was roundly ridiculed on social media for his unconventional attire, Wooden claimed popular sportscasters such as Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith, and Shannon Sharpe have refused to acknowledge that Newtown’s behavior is part of a larger plan to condition the public to be more accepting of the sexually perverted.

In a video that was posted to their Facebook page, Bishop Wooden  addressed his congregation.

WOODEN: “All these sportscasters, they are such hypocrites. They are such weasels. They are weak. They’ll do what they have to do to keep their jobs. They talk about Cam Newton, they talk about his shoulder, they talk about his foot. How he’s not throwing the ball right and all that. A man’s standing there in a scarf, dressed like a woman, 6-foot 5-inches tall, built like a Greek god, 250 pounds, maybe 1 or 2 percent body fat, muscles everywhere, dressed like woman!

“They bring up everything, but the obvious thing. See that is designed to make you condition your minds to make you think, ‘Well, I’m being judgmental if I find that odd.’ No, you know what you’re doing? You have common sense. Men don’t dress like that. You don’t get our morals from an athlete. We get our morals from the Word of God.”

Deuteronomy 22:5 declares, “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this.”

(Citing other black athletes, such as flamboyant former Chicago Bulls forward Dennis Rodman, who enjoyed cross-dressing and once wore a bridal gown, make-up and bright red lipstick to promote his best-selling autobiography “Bad As I Wanna Be”, Wooden further argued that the sexually perverted have been using black men in particular to further their agenda and he was “ashamed.”)

Episcopal Bishop opposes homosexual faux marriages

In another example of a Christian leader taking a Biblical stand, Bishop William Love of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany refused in November 2018 to allow congregations in his regional body to bless homosexual faux marriages. He was punished last year by The Episcopal Church and has appealed, which will go before a hearing panel to argue his case, reports the Christian Post.

In his initial 8-page letter that he sent to all the churches he oversees, Bishop Love wrote, “Jesus is calling the Church to follow His example. He is calling the Church to have the courage to speak His Truth in love about homosexual behavior — even though it isn’t politically correct. Sexual relations between two men or two women was never part of God’s plan and is a distortion of His design in creation and as such is to be avoided.”

Court affirms Michigan adoption agency’s right to prohibit “gay” couples

On Thursday, foster families won big in a Michigan court as a federal judge says that the Michigan Attorney General discriminated against faith-based agencies, thanks to a lawsuit by Becket Law.

St. Vincent Catholic Charities, an adoption agency, has a proven track record of effectively uniting vulnerable children—sibling groups, older children, and children with special needs—with loving families. But their policy is not to place children with homosexual couples.

Thankfully, the federal court ruled that “the State’s real goal is not to promote non-discriminatory child placements, but to stamp out St. Vincent’s religious belief and replace it with the State’s own.”

After brain aneurysm, Hillsong singer “100% healed”

And finally, Chelsea Lee Taylor, the Hillsong worship leader who suffered a brain aneurysm on August 18th, is being allowed back home to continue her recovery after her nine-hour emergency surgery, reports ChristianToday.com.

Emma Fellers, administrator at Hillsong Church, said that Taylor was now “100% healed, able to walk, talk, DRIVE”.

Psalm 34:8 says, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”

300 boys and men in chains at Nigerian Islamic school

More than 300 boys and men, some as young as five and many in chains and bearing scars from beatings, have been rescued in a raid on a building that purported to be an Islamic school in Kaduna, northern Nigeria, police said on Friday, reports Reuters.

The children, who had been brought from neighboring countries including Burkina Faso, Mali and Ghana, shuffled with their ankles manacled and others were chained by their legs to large metal wheels to prevent escape.

One boy, held by the hand by a police officer as he walked unsteadily, had sores visible on his back that appeared consistent with injuries inflicted by a whip.

The rescued children have been moved to a temporary camp at a stadium in Kaduna, while attempts were made to find their parents, police said.

Parents in northern Nigeria, the poorest part of a country in which most people live on less than $2 a day, often opt to leave their children to board at the schools.

India charges 8 Christians with “forced conversion”

A massive crackdown on house churches by radical Hindu groups has led to the jailing of at least eight Christians on charges of forced conversion in the Lakhimpur Khere district of Uttar Pradeshafter, according to the persecution advocacy group International Christian Concern, reports the Christian Post.

Pastor Ram Kumar said that he and another pastor named Gokran were assaulted by a mob of angry Hindus during a prayer service on September 15. When police arrived, Kumar said he and the other pastor were arrested, but not the perpetrators of the attack.

“We were around 50 people worshiping in a little hut, all of a sudden a mob of 20 Hindu radicals stormed into the hut while shouting at us using filthy and abusive language dragged me and Pastor Gokran out of the hut and started to beat us,” Kumar alleges.

According to ICC, both pastors were charged with blasphemy under section 295A of the Indian Penal Code barring “deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.”

The pastors were released on bail five days after their arrest, last Friday.

According to the online resource Map violence, there have been over 1,400 incidents of persecution against Christians in India since 2014.

Elizabeth Warren beating Biden in 2 primary state polls

Twenty-seven percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents polled by Quinnipiac University said they favor Senator Elizabeth Warren for president in the first two primary states, according to a survey released last Wednesday, reports Politico.com.

Twenty-five percent said they prefer former Vice President Joe Biden.

Disabled man, former psychiatrist, pleads against assisted suicide

Dr. Mark Blackwell, a former psychiatrist, who is now severely disabled and relies on his wife Eppie for round-the-clock care, pleaded with lawmakers not to legalize assisted suicide, reports ChristianToday.com.

His wife said “life with a severe disability is not all misery”.

Dr. Blackwell, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2011, suffered a severe stroke in 2011 after undergoing deep brain stimulation surgery to help with the symptoms of the Parkinson’s.  The stroke caused the left side of his body to become paralyzed and his speech was left impaired.

In a video for the ‘Lives Worth Living’ campaign, Dr. Blackwell admits that his condition did initially make him want to die but he now feels “happy to be alive”.

“But I want to be alive because important things have not changed. Eppie, my wife, loves me; my children love me. I have six grandchildren, I enjoy writing my blog, I go to a club where we play games and do puzzles – they think I’m some sort of genius! My friends visit me.

“I am happy to be alive. If assisted dying is legalized, it would make me feel that my life and my suffering are a waste of time. It would make me feel I am a burden for Eppie and my children.”

Judge dismisses an ex-gay psychotherapist’s case

A federal judge in Maryland has dismissed an ex-gay psychotherapist’s lawsuit against a state law banning mental health professions from providing so-called “gay conversion therapy” to people struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction, reports the Christian Post.

U.S. District Judge Deborah Chasanow, who was nominated by Democrat President Bill Clinton in 1993, granted the state’s request to throw out the legal challenge to the Youth Mental Health Protection Act.

The bill, which was signed into law last May by liberal Republican Governor Larry Hogan, labels this type of counseling, known as sexual orientation change efforts, as “unprofessional conduct” that is subject to disciplinary action.

With the help of Liberty Counsel, Christopher Doyle, a therapist at Patrick Henry College, arguing that the new restriction violates the free speech and freedom of religion rights of both he and his clients who voluntarily seek his help.
