Pentecostal Church demolished, pastor arrested in India

Government officials in Utter Pradesh, India demolished a Pentecostal Christian church and arrested 18 people, including the pastor and his wife, under charges relating to the nation’s unlawful conversion act, reports UCA News

Pray for Pastor Yadav and our brothers and sisters in jail.  Currently, there are 89 Christians in jail in this part of the country.

India is the 11th worst country in the world for Christian persecution on the World Watch List.

In Psalm 7:1-2, David cries out. He says, “O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; And deliver me, lest they tear me like a lion, rending me in pieces, while there is none to deliver.”

Burmese military killed 29 people, mostly Christians

The Burmese military bombed a Kachin State refugee camp last week, killing 29 people, 11 of whom were children, reports International Christian Concern.

The bombing occurred in the north end of the country, near the city of Laiza near the Chinese border.

The Kachin people are made up of a largely Christian population.

The Assistance Association For Political Prisoners of Burma counts 4,148 killings of innocent citizens by the military junta.

More countries are electing younger leaders

The nations of the world are increasingly electing younger leaders.

Ecuador elected 35-year-old Daniel Noboa to its top office on Sunday. Chile also elected its youngest ever president just over a year ago. 35-year-old Gabriel Boric promised more socialism and promoted more abortion for his country.  El Salvador elected 37-year-old Nayib Bukele as president of the country in 2019.

France elected its youngest president, Emmanuel Macron, at 39 years of age. And Ireland brought in Leo Varadkar, a 37-year-old homosexual prime minister in 2017.

15 countries have women as leader

Plus, the number of nations around the world with women leading at the top office has reached 15 in the world, up from 1 in 1968, and 5 in 2005.

Countries with a majority of women taking top ministerial positions, as of 2021, include Nicaragua, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Albania, Rwanda, Costa Rica, Canada, Finland, France, and Spain.

Isaiah 3:12 reminds us of God’s Words to a fallen nation. He said,  “As for My people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.”

Most Americans support Israel

A recent PBS Marist poll found generally strong support for Israel in the present war among Republicans and Democrats.

In addition, the pollsters found a strong generational divide — 86% of the Silent Generation and 83% of Baby Boomers register support for Israel — while only 48% of Millennials and Gen Zers say that the U.S. should publicly support Israel, reports ZeroHedge.

Canadian home prices dropping

According to the Canadian Real Estate Association, Canada’s home prices have dropped three months in a row — but still holding an average of $815,000 up from $310,000 in 2009. Prices have dropped 21% in the Greater Toronto area.

Fewer American homes are selling

Housing sales in the U.S. are projected at 4.3 million this year, the lowest rate since the housing bust of 2011.

Existing home sales in 2021 were 6.1 million.

MSN reports the Coldest Housing Markets in the U.S. right now are San Francisco (at #1), Tacoma, Washington, San Diego, California, Denver, Colorado, and Boise, Idaho

World’s first off-road solar-powered car

And finally, a team of students from a Dutch university, Eindhoven University of Technology, has created  “the world’s first off-road solar-powered vehicle.”

The 2,645-pound vehicle passed its off-road testing in Morocco this month, traveling 621 miles over varying terrain on solar power, from the north coast to the Sahara Desert in the south.
