Arizona Governor is okay with homosexual/trans indoctrination

Arizona’s Republican Governor Doug Ducey vetoed legislation last week that would have restricted homosexual indoctrination in public schools for fifth grade kids, reports LifeSiteNews.com.

The legislation had required parental involvement in sex ed on homosexuality and transgenderism, by requiring an opt-in for classes.

North Carolina and Utah have also recently repealed laws that would have restricted homosexual indoctrination in public schools.

There are only six states left now with laws that restrict homosexual/transgender indoctrination.  They include Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas

Matthew 18:6-7 reminds us that “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”

Florida House bans disability abortions: Will FL Senate as well?

Late Friday, the Florida House approved legislation to ban abortions of children with fetal disabilities, like Down syndrome, reports WINK News.

However, the measure is not likely to be taken up by the more moderate Republican-dominated State Senate. Justice for Down syndrome babies will rely on the interposition of Almighty God in this case.

U.S. Supreme Court to take up Second Amendment case

After more than a decade of silence on the issue, the U.S. Supreme Court announced yesterday that it will take up a Second Amendment case.  This time, the high court will look at a New York law banning concealed carry for handguns, reports NBC News.

Court observers suggest this move to consider a liberal state’s restriction of gun rights comes by the addition of Amy Coney Barrett to the bench.

California, Florida, and Illinois have banned open carry of all firearms.  New York and South Carolina ban open carry for long guns.

Canadian father imprisoned for objecting to minor daughter’s cross-sex hormones without his consent

A Canadian father has been sentenced to six months in jail for speaking out publicly against the treatment of his daughter with cross-sex hormones in public schools — without his consent.

Robert Hoogland argues that his parental rights were violated by public school officials and public health officials who “allowed and encouraged his minor daughter to receive cross-sex hormones without his consent.”  Despite a judge’s injunction to the contrary, Hoogland continued to speak out for his daughter and to protect other Canadian families.

According to World Magazine, his concerns are “first, sexual orientation and gender identity policies that allow school officials to socially transition children to the opposite gender without parents’ knowledge or consent; second, the British Columbia Infants Act that allows doctors to sidestep parents and give minors puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, experimental treatments with serious known risks; and third, increasing cases of rapid-onset gender dysphoria, a term used to describe social clusters of transgender-identifying adolescent females.”

Another Canadian father, Chis Elston, has taken up the cause, protesting across Canada, displaying a sign bearing the words, “Children Cannot Consent to Puberty Blockers.”

In a 13-minute YouTube video, Elston said this is a major social concern for every family in Canada.

ELSTON: “His crime is that he was given an order by the court not to discuss the case of his daughter who was medically transitioning to become a boy, which of course, is an impossibility. But his daughter, when she was in grade six, she, with her school counselor, without talking to her parents, decided that she would transition to being a boy. The counselor worked with her and changed her name at the school, and they started using he/him pronouns.

“No one even told the parents because this is how things work in British Columbia. A child can change their name at school, and it is the policy of all of these schools not to inform the parents. So, the father actually found out when he looked at her grade seven yearbook, and she now had a different name!

“The school also sent this girl to a psychologist who is transitioning over 1,000 children in British Columbia, per his own report. He states he’s also transitioning over 500 orphans and foster children, so, kids under state care. When you do the math, this works out to about 10% of all the kids in state care are being transitioned by this one psychologist.

“So, anyway, this girl went and saw him. Then she got referred to the British Columbia Children’s Hospital. It is the policy, in British Columbia, under what’s called the British Columbia Infants Act, that parental approval is not needed at all for these doctors at the Children’s Hospital to start medically transitioning these children.”

Is getting COVID-19 vaccine a way to show “love of our neighbors”?

Does God’s commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves require that we get an immunization shot for COVID-19?

A recent Public Religion Research Institute and Interfaith Youth Core survey found that 53% of Americans say, “Yes” to that, reports Christian Headlines. By contrast, only 46% of white Evangelical Protestants agreed to that.

Among the most enthusiastic about the immunization in the survey were the Mormons — 66% of whom believed this was an expression of neighborly love.

Audience for Academy Awards dropped by 58%

The star system is all but dead.  And the Academy Awards show Sunday night came off as a dud.

Viewership dropped to 9.85 million, reports NBC News. That’s down from 23.6 million just last year, and down from 55 million in the year 2000. Hollywood’s most prestigious awards this year went to no-name films hardly watched by anybody — Nomadland, Minari, and Judas and the Black Messiah,

Revelation 18:9-11 says, “The kings of the Earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour Your judgment has come.’ “And the merchants of the Earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore.”
