Chinese Communists Order First Commandment Taken Down
Communist Chinese authorities in Henan Province’s Luoning County ordered a government-approved Three-Self church to remove the first commandment from the Ten Commandments which declares “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”, reports Bitter Winter Magazine.
People from the church were strongly opposed. One believer protested saying, “This isn’t appropriate. They’re falsifying the words of God! It’s resisting the Lord!”
An official rebuked them by saying, “Xi Jinping opposes this statement. Who dares not to cooperate? If anyone doesn’t agree, they are fighting against the country. This is a national policy. … Don’t go against the government.”
Pelosi, Schumer Upset with Trump over Government Shutdown
After meeting with President Donald Trump on the 15th day of the partial government shutdown, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed her frustration outside the White House on Saturday.
PELOSI: “We just completed a lengthy and sometimes contentious conversation with the President. We recognize, on the Democratic side, that we really cannot resolve this until we open up government. And we made that very clear.”
Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was also upset by the impasse.
SCHUMER: “We made a plea to the president once again: Don’t hold millions of Americans, hundreds of thousands of workers hostage. Open up the government and let’s continue the discussions. He resisted. In fact, he said he’d keep the government closed for a very long period of time, months or even years.”
The president, who wants $5 billion for the southern border wall before he will agree to end the shutdown, disclosed that he had considered declaring a national emergency to build the wall without legislative approval, saying, “I can do it, if I want.”
Congresswoman Cortez Pushes Radical Green New Deal, 70% Tax Rate
Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York sat down with Anderson Cooper for an interview which aired last night on CBS’ 60 Minutes.
COOPER: “You’re talking about 0 carbon emissions, no use of fossil fuels within 12 years?”
CORTEZ: “That is the goal. It’s ambitious.”
COOPER: “How is that possible? Are you talking about everyone having to drive an electric car?”
CORTEZ: “It’s going to require a lot of rapid change that we don’t even conceive as possible right now. What is the problem with trying to push our technological capacities to the furthest extent possible?”
COOPER: “This would require though raising taxes.”
CORTEZ: “People are going to have to pay their fair share in taxes.”
COOPER: “What you are talking about is, just big picture, is radical agenda in compared to the way politics is done right now.”
CORTEZ: “I think that it only has ever been radicals who have changed this country. Abraham Lincoln made the radical decision to sign the Emancipation Proclamation. Franklin Delano Roosevelt made the radical decision to embark on establishing programs like Social Security. That is radical.”
COOPER: “Do you call yourself a radical?”
CORTEZ: “Yeah, if that’s what radical means, call me a radical.”
Cortez will pay for her Green New Deal by nearly doubling the top federal income tax rate of 37% to 70 percent, according to Americans for Tax Reform.
California taxpayers would pay a top rate of 83.3 percent – the 70 percent plus the California rate of 13.3 percent.
Pew: “Christians Overrepresented in Congress”
According to Pew in the Washington Examiner, “Christians [are] overrepresented in Congress” at 55 percent Protestant and 30 percent Catholic, with 6 percent identifying as Jewish. Overall, 71 percent of all U.S. adults call themselves Christian.
Most notable, while 23 percent of the nation claims to be unaffiliated, atheist, or simply “none,” there is just one member of that group. Arizona Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema who said that she is religiously unaffiliated.
Bisexual Senator Refuses Oath on Bible
In related news, Democrat Senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, a self-professed bisexual and pro-abortion extremist, refused to take her ceremonial oath of office with her hand on the Bible, choosing instead to place her hand on the Constitution, reports LifeNews.com.
To his credit, Vice President Mike Pence, who administered the oath, ended with this question, “So help you God?” Sinema responded, “I do.”
Alabama Cashier Volunteers Kidney to Ailing Wife of Customer
And finally, an Alabama woman received a New Year’s blessing after a local grocery store cashier offered to give her a kidney, reports Christian Headlines.
40-year-old cashier Leilani Crocker noticed that her typically smiling customer named Eddie Drummond, age 53, seemed off. She wanted to know what was wrong.
EDDIE: “Why was I looking so sad. And I said that my wife wasn’t doing so good on dialysis. She needed a kidney transplant. She told me, ‘I’ll give her mine. And she was shocked.’”
Donnie Drummond, Eddie’s wife, had been diagnosed with kidney failure three years previously and has been waiting for a new kidney ever since. She had gone through hundreds of dialysis treatments and years of difficulty finding a match.
After blood tests revealed that Crocker, the cashier, was indeed a match, enabling her to donate one of her kidneys, she announced the good news to Mrs. Drummond in person at their home. Eddie’s wife was ecstatic.
Mrs. DRUMMOND: (Scream of surprise and delight)
Crocker explained what motivated her.
CROCKER: What if it happens to me and I need a stranger to come help me.”
Eddie’s gratitude is boundless.
EDDIE: “You will always be a part of us because you put an extension on my wife’s life and I can’t thank you enough.”
His wife knows that God works in mysterious ways.
MRS. DRUMMOND: “I asked for a miracle blessing and He sent it to me because He’s not done with me on this Earth.”
The two, who have quickly become friends, are scheduled to have their transplant surgeries in February.
John 13:35 says, “By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

Democratic House Passes Radical Bill Funding Abortion Overseas
The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives voted Thursday night to pass government spending legislation that would reinstate federal funding to abortion organizations worldwide.
The bill essentially repeals Trump’s expanded Mexico City Policy — also known as the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Policy — which he enacted as one of his first acts as president in January 2017, reports The Christian Post.
Both Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the White House have vowed to oppose the bill.
Marjory Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life grassroots organization Susan B. Anthony List, said, House Speaker Pelosi’s “first act as speaker leaves no doubt about House Democrats’ senseless priorities for the next two years.”
Muslim Congresswoman Calls President Trump a Profane Word
Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, doubled down on her commitment to impeach President Donald Trump with a foul-mouthed reference to the Commander-in-Chief, as she oddly recounted a conversation with her own son, reports the Associated Press.
Trump said Tlaib’s comments were “disgraceful” and that she “dishonored herself”.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that while she didn’t like the profane language, it was a “generational” choice of words. Pelosi is 78, while Tlaib is 42.

New Hampshire Town Raises Atheist Flag over 10 Commandments Monument
The city of Somersworth, New Hampshire, will again allow a national atheist group’s flag to fly above a Ten Commandments monument displayed in the city’s downtown area, reports the Fosters Daily Democrat.
The flag, which has a blue backdrop with a large red letter “A” declares, “Freedom From Religion”.
Apparently, God-hater Richard Dawkins invented the red letter A as a symbol of atheism and agnosticism.
The atheist flag will fly above the Ten Commandments monument at “Citizens Place” until January 11.
All Women’s College Welcomes Men Pretending to Be Women
Stephens College in Missouri, the second oldest all-women college in America, announced that it would allow men who pretend to be women to enroll starting in the fall of 2019, reports Christian Headlines.
But, if any women want to pretend to be men they will have to leave the school immediately.

Miracle Man Survives After Children Pull the Plug
A man named Scott Marr whose children had decided to remove his breathing tubes has recovered and left an Omaha hospital after weeks of therapy, reports the Lincoln Journal Star.
Marr originally was diagnosed with a stroke on December 12th after he was found lying in his bed, unresponsive but breathing. He was rushed to Methodist Hospital and soon placed on a breathing machine in intensive care.
According to the doctors, Marr was not expected to recover, and was on his way to brain death.
His daughter, Preston Marr, said her father “had always said, ‘I never want you guys to see me lying in a hospital bed, lying in a nursing home.’ So, we said our goodbyes before extubating him, all the monitors were shut off and we waited by his side.”
He kept breathing. In fact, Marr was still breathing on his own the next morning when his children returned after skipping their appointment with a funeral home.
“I asked him to move his thumbs, and he slowly moved his thumbs, and I asked him to wiggle his toes, and he wiggled all his toes really slightly.”
His doctors soon ordered another test. It showed that Scott Marr was suffering from a rare condition called posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome.
Marr credits his faith for his survival. His family calls him “Miracle Man.”
