Nigerian pastor freed by Boko Haram hours before execution
Last Wednesday evening, Muslim terrorists from Boko Haram in Nigeria freed Pastor Bulus Yikura after having held him captive since Christmas Eve. He was released just hours before the ransom deadline expired and the terrorist group was set to execute him, reports The Christian Post.
Boko Haram released a video on Feb. 24 where Yikura pleaded with the Nigerian government and the Christian Association of Nigeria to rescue him before he was killed, according to HumAngle.
The pastor said, “If you want me alive, I beg you in your capacity as president, the governor and our local government chairman to save me from this suffering. … Anyone who has the intention should help and save me. Please release me from this pain.”
In one of the videos, the pastor knelt as a knife-wielding man in a mask stood behind him.
Isaiah 61:1 says, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the afflicted. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners.”
Senate passes $1.9 trillion COVID relief bill
In a 50-49 party line vote on Saturday, the U.S. Senate passed a $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package as Democrats rush to send out a fresh round of aid, reports CNBC.com.
The Democratic-held House aims to pass the bill on Tuesday and send it to President Joe Biden for his signature before a March 14 deadline to renew unemployment aid programs.
The legislation includes direct payments of up to $1,400 to most Americans, a $300 weekly boost to jobless benefits into September and an expansion of the child tax credit for one year.
CPAC caved to sexually perverted sponsors
During a breakout session at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Febrauey 27, pro-life activist Abby Johnson, who was featured in the movie Unplanned, chastised the organizers for doing little to promote conservatism’s inherent ties to America’s Judeo-Christian heritage, for not defending Biblical marriage, and for permitting morally subversive groups like the Log Cabin Homosexual Republicans and Atheists for Liberty to exhibit at the conference, reports CNSNews.com.
JOHNSON: “They haven’t had one keynote speaker stand up and stand up there and talk about the attack on traditional marriage. And they can’t. Because some of their sponsors are gay conservatives.”
Johnson was steaming angry.
JOHNSON: “What is going on? There is an attack on Judeo-Christian beliefs in this country. And we’re not addressing it at our country’s largest conservative conference because we want sponsorships to roll in?”
Johnson put her finger on the problem.
JOHNSON: “We have a problem in the conservative movement because we are allowing diversity to trump Jesus Christ. I think gun rights and election integrity and all of that is important, but we need to hear more about God from the largest conservative conference in the United States.
“We are too worried about offending our neighbor and we should be 100 percent worried about offending the heart of God. … And the only way to bring back truth — big ‘T’ truth — in the conservative movement is to focus less on diversity and to focus more on Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 5:11 declares, “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”
Miss. Governor ready to protect women’s Sports from trans craziness
On March 3rd, the Mississippi House voted 81-28 to ban biological males, pretending to be females, from competing in biological women’s sports in the state’s public schools and universities, reports CNSNews.com.
The Mississippi Fairness Act was passed by the state Senate in February and now goes to Republican Governor Tate Reeves who has said he will sign the bill into law.
The bill specifies that there are “inherent differences” — ranging from chromosomal and hormonal differences to physiological differences. “Men generally have denser, stronger bones, tendons, and ligaments and larger hearts, greater lung volume per body mass, a higher red blood cell count, and higher hemoglobin.”
Leftist organizations, such as the America Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), said this legislation is “attacking trans youth.”
Christian colleges with ties to Planned Parenthood
Students for Life of America has released its first list of U.S. Christian colleges that have ties to Planned Parenthood, reports The Christian Post.
After investigating more than 700 Christian U.S. colleges, the pro-life group announced last Wednesday that 100 of them have “quiet relationships” with Planned Parenthood that “fly under the radar.”
The types of connections Christian colleges were found to have with Planned Parenthood include such things as “advertising Planned Parenthood internships and career postings; referring students to Planned Parenthood as a resource; incorporating Planned Parenthood into medical school rotations; and hosting events for students with the abortion giant.”
Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life, said, “There is an unholy partnership between a number of Christian schools and the abortion industry.”

Christian actor Kevin Sorbo: I’m a “double leper”
And finally, in a recent Fox News interview, Kevin Sorbo, the conservative, Christian actor, blasted Facebook and Hollywood for its Cancel Culture censorship.
SORBO: “I find it amazing that places like Facebook have more power than our government apparently. And the government allows them to do what they’re doing right now in terms of just canceling people that they don’t agree with. And then their own politics or whatever it may be religious, non-religious, whatever it is.”
Sorbo explained the type of rejection he has experienced as an actor due to his biblical worldview.
SORBO: “Being a Christian and a conservative in Hollywood, that’s kind of like being a double leper. So, I’ve got my own battles to deal with. Thank God for independent movies, otherwise, I wouldn’t have a career right now.”

Trump: “Our border is now totally out of control”
Last Friday, former President Donald Trump blamed President Joe Biden Friday for an influx of illegal immigrants crossing America’s southern border.
He said, the U.S.-Mexico border is “totally out of control thanks to the disastrous leadership of Joe Biden. Our great Border Patrol and ICE agents have been disrespected, demeaned, and mocked by the Biden Administration. A mass incursion into the country by people who should not be here is happening on an hourly basis, getting worse by the minute.”
