Burmese army using landmines against Christian civilians

The Burmese army has been planting landmines in the state of Kayah, Myanmar where a sizable population of Christians reside, reports International Christian Concern.

Since June of 2021, at least 20 civilians have been injured or killed by these landmines. Tragically, they blow off a victim’s foot or whole leg.

According to Amnesty International, “The military has laid mines in at least 20 villages in Hpruso, Demoso, and Loikaw townships in Kayah State in recent months.”

In fact, on June 15th, the Burmese army placed eight landmines around St. Matthew’s Church in the village of Hpruso.

The country of Myanmar has been in a state of turmoil since February 2021 when the military staged a coup that overtook the government.

According to Open Doors, Myanmar is the 12th most dangerous country in the world to be a Christian.

Biden considers Monkeypox emergency declaration

The Biden administration is considering whether to declare the monkeypox outbreak a public health emergency as cases in the United States soared to more than 2,800 on Friday, reports Bloomberg.

Ashish Jha, the White House COVID response coordinator, said, “We’re looking at that, looking at what are the ways in which the response could be enhanced by declaring a public health emergency.”

The World Health Organization has been debating similar action, in light of 16,000 cases worldwide.

Monkeypox is primarily affecting homosexual men who comprise 1.5% of the population.

Romans 1:26-27 declares, “God gave them over to shameful lusts. … Men abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.”

GOP attorneys general to Google: Don’t censor pro-life pregnancy centers

A group of Republican state attorneys general have vowed to take action against Google if it follows through with congressional Democrats’ demands to censor search results by preventing women from finding pro-life pregnancy centers when searching for abortion, reports The Christian Post.

On Thursday, Virginia’s Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares and Kentucky’s Republican Attorney General Daniel Cameron, along with 15 other state attorneys general, wrote a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai. They warned that the company could be investigated if it caved to demands by Democratic members of Congress to “take action” by preventing pro-life pregnancy centers from appearing in search results for queries about abortion clinics and abortion pills.

Democratic lawmakers are seeking to “limit the appearance of anti-abortion fake clinics” in Google Ads and on Google Maps. They claim that pro-life pregnancy centers are “fake clinics that traffic in misinformation” and don’t provide comprehensive health services. These Democrats also argue that pro-life pregnancy clinics are “dangerous to women’s health” and their appearance in search results “undermines the integrity of Google’s search results.”

Christian historian Marshall Foster died

And finally, Christian historian Marshall Foster, founder of the World History Institute and the author of The American Covenant: The Untold Story, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in May, died on July 22nd at 4:30pm.

His vision was to restore our nation to its Judeo-Christian heritage. Toward that end, Dr. Foster trained tens of thousands through live seminars in 40 states, Canada, and Europe. He was the co-host of a weekly syndicated radio broadcast entitled “The Story of Liberty” which reached hundreds of thousands of Americans.

Dr. Foster had been recently admitted to the hospital for over a week, unable to eat or drink. The doctors performed a surgical procedure to place a stent, which they hoped would allow him to resume eating and drinking, but the procedure was unsuccessful.

As the days went on, he became more malnourished and was losing strength.  By God’s grace, on July 14th, he received a stomach/intestinal bypass to get him some nutrition.

After he had gone to heaven, the family posted this quote from Charles Spurgeon.  “The vista of a praiseful life will never close, but continue throughout eternity. From psalm to psalm, from hallelujah to hallelujah, we will ascend the hill of the Lord, until we come into the Holiest of all, where, with veiled faces, we will bow before the Divine Majesty in the bliss of endless adoration!”

Join me and send a hand-written sympathy card to Marshall Foster’s wife, Trish, at World History Institute, P.O. Box 4673, Thousand Oaks, CA 91359. If your time is limited, you can send an email: info@worldhistoryinstitute.com.

Revelation 14:13 says, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, ‘they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.’”
