Turkey Digs in Its Heels; Refuses to Release Andrew Brunson

The United States has imposed financial sanctions on Turkey over the detention of Pastor Andrew Brunson on false charges. Turkey’s ambassador to the United States met with White House National Security Adviser John Bolton on Monday to discuss the release of Pastor Brunson, but Turkey rejected a second appeal yesterday.

The U.S. is also sanctioning Iran after pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal. Now the Muslim regime is “lashing out by arresting evangelical converts” according to Peter Kohanloo, president of the Iranian American Majority advocacy group.

Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Answered Prayer: Sudanese Muslim Gov’t Drops Charges Against Christians

In God’s providence, a Sudanese court dropped charges last week against eight Christian leaders with the Sudan Church of Christ over their refusal to give control of the denomination over to a government committee, reports Christian Solidarity Worldwide.

This development comes despite the Muslim-majority country’s persecution of Christians, arrest of pastors, and destruction of church buildings.

Italian Politician Takes a Stand for Heterosexual Marriage

Italy’s Conservative Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini recently ordered the wording on identity card application forms for children to be changed from “parent 1” and “parent 2” to “mother and father.”

Salvini said, “We will defend the natural family founded on the union between a man and a woman.”

Round 2: Colorado vs. Christian Baker Jack Phillips

Psalm 14:4 asks, “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?”

Along that line, the state of Colorado is going after Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips for his faith . . . again. Phillips won his case before the Supreme Court in June for not baking a cake for a faux homosexual wedding.

Now, Phillips is facing the Colorado Civil Rights Division for not baking a cake in celebration of gender confusion.

Phillips told CBN News his faith in Jesus has continued to grow through this.

“My faith in Jesus Christ sustains me in everything. It’s grown through all this. Just to see day by day how many times and how many ways He’s helped, He’s done things that shouldn’t have happened or that we couldn’t orchestrate. My family’s grown together closer. Everybody around me would say the same thing. My faith is much stronger because of this.”

Vermont’s Democrat Transgender Candidate for Governor

The Democratic candidate for governor of Vermont, a man born with the name David Hallquist who now goes by the name “Christine”, is America’s first major party transgender nominee for governor.

“Tonight we made history. We really did. (applause) And I am so honored to be part of this historical moment. The blue wave starts here. (applause) And this is a national movement.

“You know, in the physics world, we have this saying, ‘For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.’ This is a reaction to 2016. Our children’s children are going to look back at 2016 and say, ‘Wasn’t our democracy awesome? We survived a despot.’

“We are going to win in November. (applause) I’m going to tell you why we are going to win in November. Because nothing is impossible when you’re on the side of justice.”

Hallquist has come out against Christians multiple times on Twitter.

Ainsley Earhardt of “Fox and Friends” is being vilified by the liberals today for referring to David Hallquist as “that transgender.”

“That transgender beat the 14-year-old. Remember, they didn’t have an age limit. So the 14-year-old said, ‘Well, I’m going to run.’ And didn’t win.”

Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri Celebrates 1,839 Soldier Converts

U.S. Army Chaplain Jose Rondon says God is doing an “unbelievable work” at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. Rondon said 1,839 soldiers have come to Christ since March.

Retired Major General Doug Carver who serves as the executive director of chaplaincy for the North American Mission Board told the Baptist Press, “The current spiritual awakening at Fort Leonard Wood is indicative of a great move of God taking place within the Armed Services today.”

Listen to this audio captured by Rondon of hundreds of soldiers singing “Amazing Grace.”

“I once was lost, but now am found.
Was blind, but now I see.”

Jesus said in Luke 15:7 that “there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous persons who need no repentance.”
