Algeria closed 22 churches and jailed pastors

Algeria, Africa is restricting Christian churches.

Now the government is limiting house churches to 10 participants. Several Algerian church leaders are in prison, and 22 churches have been closed as of 2022.

Right now, the Algerian government is particularly hard on Christians, as they are perceived to be in support of the Jews in the Palestinian conflict, according to a report from International Christian Concern

Algeria is ranked the 19th most hostile country worldwide to Christians.

Help the Nepalese people hit by the earthquake

That 5.6-magnitude Nepali earthquake that hit Western Nepal on November 3rd destroyed 18,000 homes and at least 20 churches.

Three church members in one city were killed, and one pastor lost a daughter and four grandchildren in the quake.

Many of our Christian brothers and sisters are now facing a winter in desperate need of humanitarian assistance – food, warm clothes and tents are all needed in the short term.  There is already snow on the ground in places.

America’s tax receipts dropped by 8%

Some economists are asking the question: “With employment so high, the GDP on the rise, and the economy so great, why are tax receipts lagging?”

After an increase in tax receipts by 45% between 2020 and mid-2022, since June of 2022, tax receipts have lagged 8%. That’s the biggest drop off of tax receipts since the 2008 recession.

America’s explosive debt

The federal debt is out of control according to the assessment of multiple economists.

The debt has increased by $2.25 trillion just since May of 2023, and up $520 billion in October alone.  That’s at least 12 times the deficits seen when Donald Trump took office in 2016.

If this is spending like a drunken sailor, the sailor is now lying in a ditch on skid row somewhere.

The economy hurting last four months

In other economic news, the University of Michigan’s Index of Consumer Sentiment registers a 4-month continual drop, after a half-hearted recovery over the last year or so.

The last year has registered lowest consumer sentiment in the 10 years in which the study has been conducted.

Tim Scott drops out and Nikki Haley cranks up

Now revisiting the U.S. presidential race.

South Carolina Senator Tim Scott has dropped out, but Nikki Haley, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, is cranking up campaign spending in Iowa.  She’s spending another $10 million focused on improving her standing in Iowa.  Presently, Haley is polling third place in Iowa, and second place in New Hampshire — the first primary states.

Haley was raised in a Sikh family. Vivek Ramaswamy is a Hindu, and has stated plainly, “I am not a Christian.” Earlier this year, Humza Yousaf, the First Minister of Scotland, was installed as the first Muslim leader of a Western Nation.

And, Great Britain is led by a Hindu, by the name of Rishi Sunak in this post-Christian Western age.

Deuteronomy 28:43-45 warns God’s people who abandon faith that “The sojourner who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him. He shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. All these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you till you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes that He commanded you.”

JP Morgan penalized for facilitating Epstein’s sex trafficking

Be sure your sins will find you out.  That’s the counsel of Numbers 32:23.

Banks doing business with people doing bad things can get into big trouble. J.P. Morgan Chase has been fined an additional $290 million, for a total of $365 million for providing services to Jeffrey Epstein and his widespread promotion of sexual sin involving minors.

The legal complaint filed against the bank alleged that “JPMorgan broke every rule to facilitate Epstein’s sex-trafficking and feed off his wealth and connections.”

You can write a letter of complaint to Mr. Jamie Dimon, JP Morgan Chase President, 270 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017.

Infant mortality up by 3%

U.S. infant mortality increased for the first time, after a 20-year improvement of 22% fewer deaths.

Between 2021 and 2022, infant mortality increased by 3%, according to a recently released Centers for Disease Control report.

Live Action describes maternity-care deserts in America, where mothers have to drive over 100 miles or more to deliver babies or receive maternity care.

The worst infant mortality rates in the world are found in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Chad, Pakistan, and Mozambique.

British medical officials killed Baby Indi Gregory

Baby Indi Gregory died last night by order of the United Kingdom National Health Service.

The medical personnel pulled the ventilator, against her parents’ wishes, and the 8-month-old baby died. Last month, a UK court ruled that this was in the baby’s “best interests” because she “suffered from an incurable mitochondrial disease.”

Disney’s Woke movies are flops

And finally, Disney failed again with what some are calling a “Woke” agenda in the movie world.

The Marvels blockbuster sort of busted over the weekend, taking in only $47 million in its opening — the worst in Marvel history.

So far this year, Disney has lost $1 billion on four films: Ant Man, Little Mermaid, Secret Invasion, and Indiana Jones, reports Forbes.

On top of that, last year, Disney lost almost $500 million on pro-homosexual, anti-family movies like Strange World, Amsterdam, Lightyear, and Babylon
