Iraqi Christians Hide from ISIS Under Beds for Seven Hours

Seven Iraqi Christian students in Kirkuk hid under their beds under blankets for seven hours while soldiers from the self-proclaimed Islamic State occupied their house. Thank God they escaped the grasp of ISIS. . .and they told the World Watch Monitor that, “We prayed a lot and God answered.”

Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Homeschooling Families Targeted by Truancy Initiative in Florida

Homeschooling families in Jackson County, Florida were probably a little shocked last month to hear that their children would be considered fair game for a countywide truancy initiative called “Operation Round Up,” reported News Channel 7, WJHG.

T.J. Schmidt, an attorney for the Home School Legal Defense Association, called it a threat against homeschoolers, intended to “instill a spirit of suspicion and hostility” against home educators in the community.

City Leaders in Toowoomba, Australia Seek to Make City Porn-Free

The church and the state can agree Down Under. Pornography has harmful effects. That’s why City Women of Toowoomba, together with local Toowoomba, Australia city leaders are hoping to make their city porn-free, reports The Christian Post.

They draw compelling parallels to anti-smoking campaigns, saying that “there has been a huge reduction in smoking. You’ll never stop it, but you can show people the impact it has on your life.” Here in America, the state of Utah has declared porn use a public health crisis.

Proverbs 7:21-23 warns, “With persuasive words she led him astray; she seduced him with her smooth talk.  All at once he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noose till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life.”

90% of Americans Oppose Late-Term Abortion

Is Hillary Clinton telling the truth when she says partial-birth abortions are not happening in America? The World View spoke to Troy Newman of Operation Rescue about what motivates Clinton to make these claims.

“She know 90% of the people are vehemently opposed to late-term abortion, and she supports it.”

Newman explained why people consider late-term abortions to be more appalling than first-trimester abortions.

“Of course there’s no difference, morally or ethically or medically, between killing a child in the first day after conception all the way till after birth. But unfortunately many people view it as one being morally repugnant. Everybody can see the baby on the sonogram, they know babies have been born a little bit premature, in the seventh, maybe the sixth month gestationally, and they can’t rationalize that.”

Baptist Pastor Affirms Transgender Woman

It’s bad enough that a transgender Christian female, who presents herself as a man, has asked for the blessing of the church in south London this coming weekend. Now a Baptist pastor named Steve Chalke, from the Oasis Church in Waterloo, has agreed to preside over the ceremony. And the BBC is planning to film the charade. Pastor Chalke says the woman is a “totally committed Christian”, according to Christian News.

Isaiah 5:20 says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!”

Filipino Boxer and Congressman Builds Homes for Underprivileged Families

Manny Pacquiao is known the world over as a professional boxer. He also serves as an elected Congressman in the Philippines, and now he is investing some of his own fortune to pay for 1,000 homes for underprivileged families in his hometown in Sarangani Province.

Pacquiao Facebooked on his project: “As faithful stewards of God, each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others. I’m still building more [houses] because I believe what the Bible says — offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.”

Ben Carson Calls American Christians to Vote

Former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson warned Christians that they have a responsibility to vote based on biblical values come Election Day on November 8th, arguing that religious freedom and traditional America are on the line, reports The Christian Post.

Carson, who has endorsed Donald Trump, says, “We are facing what may be the most important election of our lifetime. As Christians, the Bible calls us to be salt and light to influence our culture. That starts with the choices we make in the voting booth.”

Carson urged Christians to visit the website www.MyFaithVotes.org

Canadian Couple’s Lost Dog Found by Their Other Dog

Cindy and John Billesberger had been searching for their missing chocolate Labrador retriever, Bruno, for almost four weeks in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. They were especially worried after the temperature plummeted and it began to snow, reports SunnnySkyz.com.

On Oct. 14th, Cindy and John were walking their female yellow Lab named Esme who stopped in one spot and wouldn’t budge. As it turned out, she was standing near a 10-foot-deep abandoned well where Bruno had been trapped for 27 days. Cindy told ABC, “He looked like a skeleton with skin. He was caked in mud and his skin had deep rashes from standing in that murky, wet environment for so long.” But thanks to his canine companion, Bruno is on the mend.

Mysterious Sniper Targets ISIS Terrorists

A renegade sniper has been striking fear into the hearts of ISIS thugs in Mosul — picking them off one-by-one, according to The Sun, a UK-based paper.

The mysterious marksman — dubbed the “Sniper of Mosul” — is believed to be behind shootings in four separate neighborhoods in Iraq’s second largest city. The sniper has been hunting down militants in broad daylight, with the most recent hit unfolding during a public beheading. The shooter had killed an ISIS executioner just seconds before he could behead a local teen who was accused of supporting resistance movements within Mosul. His bullet struck the terror thug just as he was taking aim at the boy’s neck.  Sadly, ISIS fighters shot and killed the boy before he was able to escape.

Some believe the “Sniper of Mosul” could be part of an elite, Special Forces team — though it is unclear whether they would be Iraqi or allied soldiers.

Late-Term Abortions Are Never Needed to Save Mothers’ Lives

Hillary Clinton also claimed in last Wednesday’s presidential debate that the only reason late-term abortions are ever done is to save the life of the mother.  Dr. Lawrence Koning, an OB/GYN in Corona, California, wrote, “As an OB/GYN physician for 31 years, there is no medical situation that requires aborting/killing the baby in the third trimester to ‘save the mother’s life.’”

And that’s the World View in Five Minutes.
