Body Parts of Murdered Journalist Jamal Khashoggi Found

Body parts belonging to murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi have been found, according to two Sky News sources.

One source suggested that the writer’s remains were discovered in the garden of the Saudi consul general’s Istanbul, Turkey home, located around 500 meters away from the consulate.

It contradicts the explanation being made by Saudi officials that the body was rolled up in a carpet and handed to a local collaborator who was tasked with disposing of the evidence.

The sources have told Sky News that the Saudi dissident had been “cut up” and his face “disfigured”.

Museum of the Bible Removes Dead Sea Scroll Forgeries

Since its grand opening nearly a year ago, the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. has exhibited five fragments from the storied Dead Sea Scrolls, the ancient parchment fragments discovered 70 years ago in a desert cave, reports Christian Headlines.

While the museum had long suspected that the fragments may be forged — and a sign accompanying the exhibit said scholars had raised questions about their authenticity — last week the museum received scientific verification via X-ray testing of the ink and the chemical composition which proved conclusively that the fragments were indeed forged.  They were taken down on Monday.

Majority of Americans Believe Abortion is Sin

A new study finds that a majority of Americans believe that abortion is a sin.

According to Ligonier Ministries “State of Theology” survey, 52 percent of Americans agree that abortion is a sin compared to the 38 percent who believe it is not, reports Christian Headlines.

Dr. Albert Mohler, president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, notes, “Pastors and local churches have played a big part in this by teaching about the sanctity of human life. Ultrasound images plainly show the humanity of the child in the womb, and they are provoking the consciences of Americans. … With a majority agreeing that abortion is a sin, we have a clear indication that many Americans want the state to restore protection to the unborn child.”

God spoke in Jeremiah 1:5 saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”

87% of Christians Believe Halloween Should be Shunned

Is it morally acceptable for Christians to celebrate Halloween? It’s a question that comes up every year around this time, and according to a recent CBN News Facebook poll, an overwhelming amount of believers are opting out of the widely contested holiday, reports FaithWire.com.

A staggering 87 percent of believers said they feel that Christians should not celebrate Halloween, while 13 percent believe it’s OK.

In an interview with CBN News’ “Prayer Link” last year, pastor and former Satanist John Ramirez said Christians should think twice before partaking in any Halloween festivities.

Ray Comfort of Living Waters recommends handing out his evangelistic tracts with candy on Halloween.

College Student Becomes Pro-Life After Watching Gosnell Movie

A college student who watched the new pro-life Gosnell movie said she became pro-life because of the film, reports the Associated Press.

Kathy Zhu, a student at the University of Central Florida, has 50,000 followers on Twitter. She first entered the spotlight two years ago when she began questioning her liberal beliefs. Zhu said she used to be a Democrat and initially supported pro-abortion candidate Hillary Clinton, but she decided to support President Donald Trump after researching their positions on national security in depth, according to Fusion.

On Sunday, she promoted Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer on social media, saying it changed her perspective on abortion.

Zhu wrote, “Yesterday, I was pro-choice. I believed that women should have a say & the gov shouldn’t be interfering w/ our lives. Today, I’m pro-life. After watching #Gosnell & doing in-depth research, I finally understand the horrors of loopholes in late-term abortions.”

San Francisco Allows Illegals to Vote in School Board Election

San Francisco has become the largest U.S. city to give people in the country illegally the right to vote in a local election, but the possibility of the Trump administration learning their identities appears to have kept people away: only 35 noncitizens have registered, reports the Washington Post.

Florida Pastor Talks About Hurricane Michael

And finally, The World View talked with Pastor Steve Vaggalis of Destiny Worship Center in Panama City Beach, Florida about Hurricane Michael which almost completely destroyed one of their buildings.

Pastor Vaggalis said people haven’t lost hope.

“One thing they haven’t lost, though, is a spirit of hope and optimism that is in our area. It’s really unprecedented. And our church, we’re not going at it alone. We’re partnering with some amazing people. All of us are rallying around our campus in Panama City Beach which is the closest to the devastation.”

Pastor Vaggalis shared one touching story about how God provided the simple gift of shoes to impact a Red Cross worker by showing that God is involved in every detail.

“There’s this one lady, who really didn’t believe in the Lord, who came to us from one of our agencies that’s going to be a shelter. She came to our church and asked, ‘Do you by any chance have shoes?’ We weren’t taking any clothing or shoes at that time. It was at that moment, when she was talking to our campus pastor, that there was absolutely no shoes in sight. But here comes this semi coming to our church, just dropped off six pallets of shoes.

“She asked, ‘Can I just talk to you for a second?’ And talking to our campus pastor, ‘Do you really believe there’s a God?’ And he began to pray with her and he said, ‘Not only do I believe that there’s a God who’s powerful, but He’s also personal. He’s provided you with shoes at this moment.’”

Colossians 1:17 says, “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

Trump Redirects Money for Christians in Iraq, Syria to Rebuild

The Trump administration redirects funds to the genocidal Christian victims of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, reports International Christian Concern.

ISIS slaughtered religious minorities such as Christians and Yazidis in order to eradicate any group that does not follow its extremist view of Islam. In 2002, the estimated number of Christians in Iraq was 800,000 – 1.4 million. Since then, due to the persecution experienced by the Christian community in Iraq, their numbers have fallen to less than 250,000 in 2017.

Democrats Only Have a 4-Point Mid-Term Enthusiasm Advantage

According to The Cook Political Report, district-level polls reflect a House battleground gradually polarizing along the lines of the 2016 presidential race.

Democrats are maintaining leads over GOP opponents in upscale, Clinton-won “Whole Foods suburbs” of Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis, and Northern Virginia. But Republicans’ numbers continue to improve in Trump-won districts in places like rural Minnesota, Upstate New York and Downstate Illinois.

A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll shows Democrats enjoy a four-point lead in midterm election interest, narrower than their ten points average lead for the first nine months of the year. It’s likely that cultural flash points like the Kavanaugh confirmation fight and the “migrant caravan” are better-suited to rallying and awakening the Trump base than tax cuts, which mostly fell flat for Republicans in this year’s special elections.

Pro-Abortion Democrat in Texas Spent $5.37 Million on Facebook

Facebook said the top spender on political ads on its sites since May was pro-abortion Democratic senatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke, who is challenging pro-life Republican Ted Cruz in Texas, reports Bloomberg.

O’Rourke’s campaign shelled out $5.37 million on Facebook sites from May to Oct. 20.

Tight Indiana Race for Senate Between Pro-Abortion, Pro-Life Candidates

Indiana Senate candidate Mike Braun, who is pro-life, is pulling close to pro-abortion Democrat Senator Joe Donnelly, reports LifeNews.com.

The senate race in Indiana continues to be razor-thin as a poll released Monday shows Democratic Sen. Joe Donnelly up by only one point and well within the margin of error.

Braun opposes abortion on demand, and he opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion.

Harvey Weinstein, Film Studio Might Provide $100 Million Victims Fund

Lawyers for filmmaker Harvey Weinstein and the women who have accused him of sexual misconduct are working with insurance companies and the New York attorney general’s office in an attempt to reach a sweeping settlement of all civil suits pending against the disgraced producer and his former film studio, reports Wall Street Journal.

The victims’ lawyers are asking for more than $100 million to be put into a victims’ fund.

74 Dead Babies Found in Freezers, Containers at Detroit Funeral Homes

Detroit, Michigan is reeling this week from the grisly discovery of 74 dead babies in freezers, containers and even in a hidden ceiling compartment inside two city funeral homes, reports LifeNews.com.

The Detroit News reports police are investigating the Perry Funeral Home and Cantrell Funeral Home, which do not have any apparent relationship to each other. Separate police raids uncovered stillborn babies’ and infants’ bodies improperly stored at both funeral homes.

Earlier this month, police said they found 10 fetuses and an infant’s body in a hidden ceiling compartment in Cantrell, based on a tip. A week later, they said they also raided the Perry facility and found 36 fetuses in a box and 27 more in a freezer.

A lawsuit by parents Rachel Brown and Larry Davis, of Detroit, alleging fraud and mishandling of their baby girl’s body prompted the investigation of Perry, the Detroit Free Press reports. Brown and Davis said their daughter Alayah died 27 minutes after she was born due to severe respiratory problems.

Here’s more from the Detroit Free Press:

Detroit Police Chief James Craig said he was stunned.

“I’ve never seen anything (like this) in my 41 and a half years” as a police officer, Craig said, at a news conference on Friday, adding: “It’s disturbing, but we will get to the bottom of this.”

Attorney Daniel Cieslak, who also is working on the case, said he believes Perry may have improperly handled as many as 200 babies’ bodies.

World War 2 Hero Blew Up Hitler’s Atomic Production Facility

The leader of a daring World War Two raid to thwart Nazi Germany’s nuclear ambitions has died at 99, reports Reuters.

Joachim Roenneberg, serving behind enemy lines in his native Norway during the German occupation, in 1943 blew up a plant producing heavy water, or D2O, a hydrogen-rich substance that was key to the later development of atomic bombs.

Picked by Britain’s war-time Special Operations Executive to lead the raid when he was only 23 years old, Roenneberg was the youngest member of Operation Gunnerside, which penetrated and destroyed key parts of the heavily guarded Norsk Hydro plant. The attack took place without a single shot fired.

An earlier raid failed to even reach the site, with dozens of attackers captured and killed, and Gunnerside members later described their own assault as a near-suicide mission.

Parachuting onto a snow-covered mountain plateau, the small group teamed up with a handful of other commando soldiers before skiing to their destination, penetrating the plant on foot and blowing up the heavy water production line.

Describing a pivotal moment, Roenneberg later said he made a last-minute decision to cut the length of his fuse from several minutes to seconds, ensuring the explosion would take place but making it more difficult to escape.

While a manhunt ensued, the group fled hundreds of kilometers across the mountains, with Roenneberg skiing to neighboring Sweden, a neutral country in the war, two weeks later.

While historians doubt that Adolf Hitler’s Germany would have been able to produce a nuclear weapon in time to stave off defeat, they also recognize that the risks were much harder to quantify in 1943.

Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg on Sunday praised Roenneberg, calling him “one of our great heroes.”

Phoenix Suns Save 6-Year-Old Boy’s Birthday After Guests Don’t Show Up

After the mother of 6-year-old Teddy Mazzini invited 30 classmates to attend his birthday at Peter Piper Pizza in Tucson, Arizona, no one showed up, reports KNXV-TV.

Mrs. Mazzini took a picture of her sad son sitting at a long, empty table filled with pizza and plates, but no guests.

So Mazzini took to social media to gather well wishes for her son’s birthday. That’s when a couple of sports teams found out about the no-shows.

The Phoenix Suns decided to invite Teddy and his family to “celebrate with thousands at our place” when the NBA team were set to play against the Los Angeles Lakers.
