Huckabee to Trump: Grant Asia Bibi Asylum ASAP!
Mike Huckabee has issued a letter to President Donald Trump, urging him to offer Christian mother Asia Bibi and her family asylum in America, reports The Christian Post.
Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor and Southern Baptist pastor, said in an op-ed for Fox News on Sunday that it has been one month since Bibi was acquitted by the Pakistani Supreme Court after spending eight years on death row on trumped up blasphemy charges in that Muslim-majority nation.
Her release from prison sparked widespread protests in Pakistan, with Islamic hardliners demanding that she be put to death for insulting their faith, something which Bibi has denied ever doing.
Huckabee wrote, “President Trump and his administration have been stalwart and vocal champions for religious freedom across the globe. And in Asia Bibi’s case, urgent action is needed RIGHT NOW.
“While the Netherlands, Britain, and Canada have all been mentioned as possible destinations for the family, the United States has been conspicuous by its absence in these reports.”
Huckabee also said, “The United States is without question the safest place of refuge for Asia Bibi and her family. We have a 230-plus year commitment to religious freedom and tolerance. That the United States isn’t being mentioned as her ultimate destination is a betrayal of those principles and an abdication of our responsibilities.”
Huckabee urged Christians to send a letter to President Donald Trump at The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20500.
Canadian Hospital Advertises Euthanasia in Waiting Room
A hospital in Ontario, Canada, is being criticized for the audacity of advertising euthanasia in its urgent care waiting room, reports The Christian Institute.
Pro-life activists object to the ads on TV monitors, saying they normalize deliberate killing, and present euthanasia as a “reasonable and even preferred method of alleviating suffering”.
Wesley Smith, of the Discovery Institute, pointed out that people in hospital waiting rooms are vulnerable to such advertisements, and may be afraid, in pain, or depressed. He said, “The ad makes no mention of palliative care or other means to reduce or eliminate suffering without killing.”
Bob Dole’s Stirring Tribute for George H. W. Bush
Senator Bob Dole, the 95-year-old Republican presidential nominee of 1996, was helped to his feet by an aide out of his wheelchair to salute the late President George H. W. Bush in a flag-draped casket in the Capitol Rotunda as the crowd stayed completely silent.

Ohio Town Removes Nativity, Ten Commandments
A nativity scene and a Ten Commandments display were removed from public property in Dover, Ohio, after an atheist group complained and forced the mayor into action, reports The Christian Post.
Dover Mayor Richard Homrighausen told Fox 8 that the atheist group, the Freedom from Religion Foundation, threatened a lawsuit if city officials did not comply and move the Christian displays onto private, instead of public, property.
The Grand Haven Tribune reports that both the Nativity scene and the Ten Commandments monuments have been moved not far from where they originally stood, to property owned by Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Law Director Douglas O’Meara has pushed back against the atheist group’s assertions that the displays were improperly placed on public property, but noted that a court case would be costly for the city.
Besides the two displays, the city will also have to paint over a Latin cross that is part of a choir display next to City Hall.
Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
Stranger Helps Fix Distressed Mother’s Car
And finally, a stranger’s act of kindness helped a family get home from the hospital after their daughter’s brain surgery, reports SunnySkyz.com.
Amanda Fessler was on a 2-hour drive home from the hospital when her car started smoking. She managed to get off the highway and have a tow truck take her family to a hotel for the night.
The next morning, the car still wouldn’t start and Fessler’s daughter desperately needed to get home to recover. That’s when an angel in disguise stepped in and saved the day.
Fessler shared her story on her Facebook page, saying, “This man recognized our distress in the morning while trying to replace the car’s serpentine belt. He not only offered his tools, he came in and saved the day. Not many people would have been so generous and rushed to the aid to help others. His assistance came at a real time of need. Our check out time was growing near and my daughter desperately needed to get home to recover from her brain surgery. Please help me show him some love by sharing this post in hopes that it finds him. He was definitely our angel that day.”
The angel’s name was Donta Thompson said he was alerted to the Facebook post a few days later, after it had been shared more than 4,000 times.
Thompson told Delaware Online he helps people with their vehicles frequently because it’s a nice thing to do and he’s a capable mechanic.
Mark 12:31 says, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

6 Pastors Arrested in Uganda
Officers arrested six pastors in eastern Uganda on November 24th after hundreds of Muslims, furious over a public talk comparing Christianity with Islam, descended on the local police station, reports Morning Star News.
Following a series of public events earlier this month at which mosque leaders criticized Christianity, a local pastor pointed out the differences between the Koran’s portrayal of Issa (Jesus) and the Christ of the Bible.
150 Hindu Radicals Terrorize Worship Service in India
On Sunday, December 2, a mob of 150 Hindu radicals broke into a private hall being used to conduct a Christian worship service and started to abuse the more than 35 Christians gathered in the KDA Colony of Kanpur, located in India’s Uttar Pradesh state, reports International Christian Concern.
The mob then chased all the Christians from the premises and demanded Pastor Singh to stop leading Christian worship services in Kanpur.
Pastor Vijay Gupta, a Christian leader from Kanpur, said, “The attacks on places of worship have picked up in the last two to three months in the Kanpur region. Pastors and evangelists are constantly being harassed and [threatened].”
Evangelical Christians Arrested in Iran
Mehr News Agency, which is a semi-official mouthpiece of the Iranian Regime, announced in an exclusive report on Saturday that a group of evangelical Christians have been arrested, reports International Christian Concern.
It is not unusual for Iran to publicize the arrests of Christians as part of a deterrence strategy to keep the church underground and Muslims from converting. Iran defines itself as an Islamic Republic, thus Christianity is often regarded as an inherent threat to the country’s security.
Communism Fruit: Thousands of Cuban Buildings Are Collapsing
When Fidel Castro seized power in Cuba in 1959, he vowed to demolish “hellish tenements” and provide new, safe houses for his countrymen.
Now, nearly 60 years later, the country’s buildings are collapsing at an alarming rate, leaving many Cubans with the option of either continuing to live in death traps or moving to the government’s overcrowded shelters, reports The New American.
USA Today notes that “Some 3,856 partial or total building collapses were reported in Havana from 2000 to 2013, not including 2010 and 2011 when no records were kept”.
Cuba is facing a major housing shortage, with Havana alone in need of 206,000 homes.
Ark of the Covenant in Ethiopia?
Bible scholars believe the legendary Ark of the Covenant may have landed in Ethiopia, Africa after it was taken out of Israel, reports Fox News.
The Ark is a gold-covered wooden chest containing two stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments – which Moses brought down from Mount Sinai – are written. It is also contains Aaron’s rod which budded.
The Ark was taken out of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem during the reign of Manasseh, where it was first taken to a Jewish colony in Egypt.
After that, it is thought it was taken down the Nile to Lake Tana in Ethiopia and in particular Tana Kirkos Island, which is considered to be a holy island only populated by Christian monks.
Email Hack of GOP Leaders
The House GOP campaign arm suffered a major hack during the 2018 election, exposing thousands of sensitive emails to an outside intruder, reports Politico.com.
The email accounts of four senior aides at the National Republican Congressional Committee were surveilled for several months. The intrusion was detected in April. Committee officials said they decided to withhold the information because they were intent on conducting their own investigation, and feared that revealing the hack would compromise efforts to find the culprit.
