The Unusual Murder of a Myanmar Pastor
Last week, The World View reported the tragic news that Pastor Tun Nu in Myanmar was killed. He is survived by his wife and children.
The World View spoke to Gina Goh of International Christian Concern about how people can support Pastor Nu’s family.
“The mission organization he was part of is called Gospel for Asia. I’m sure if you feel financially burdened to support his family, you can donate to the organization, and you can write in the subject line, ‘This is for Pastor Tun’s family.’ And also Gospel for Asia, on their website, they did put out a big prayer request, basically praying for his wife and three boys he left behind and his congregation, that’s about 50 people.”
Goh explained it is generally rare for Christians in Myanmar to be killed for their faith.
“Killing is not the norm. Lot of times it’s really just physically threatening or they could beat you up. This case is rare, but also because it happened in Rakhine state. The Rakhine people are mostly Buddhist, and my Burmese contact also shared with me that they have hostilities towards Christians and other religions as well like Muslims.”
Venezuelan Women Selling Their Bodies to Help Their Kids
Tragically, Venezuelan women who have fled the country because of political and economic unrest, out of desperation, are prostituting themselves to help their children.
According to a story from CNN, a Venezuelan woman said of the terrible slavery of prostitution, “It’s not easy, and it’s dangerous. But as a mother, ‘you don’t think … you do what you have to.’”
May God grant liberty in Christ Jesus to these women and provision for them so that they will no longer turn to these desperate ways.
Ezekiel 34:16 says, “I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with judgment.”
New Mexican Doctors Might Be Coerced into Killing Unborn Babies
Doctors in New Mexico might be coerced into participating in the killing of unborn children against their will, according to a new abortion bill on the table.
The New Mexico Alliance for Life states that HB51 “strips away the only explicit conscience protection for doctors and other medical professionals that protect them from being forced to participate in abortions.”
To sign the petition against the bill, go to the link in our transcript at www.TheWorldView.com. That’s where you can email New Mexico legislators, praying that God might preserve doctors and other medical professionals in New Mexico from this unjust decree.
Ephesians 5:11 commands, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.”
Iowan Christian Student Business Group: Homosexual Cannot Join
Recently, the University of Iowa attempted to dissolve a Christian student club. But U.S. District Court Judge Stephanie Rose said that the school must allow the club to continue on its campus.
According to Christian Headlines, the school attempted to take away the “registered status” of Business Leaders for Christ after they politely declined to allow a person, identifying as a homosexual, to join their group.
Eric Baxter, president of Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, called the ruling a “win for basic fairness.”
Two Christian Artists, Lauren Daigle and Toni Kelly, Win Grammys
Two Christian artists, Tori Kelly and popular singer Lauren Daigle, both won Grammy awards on Sunday evening.
Daigle won for her single “Look Up Child.”
DAIGLE:
“Where are You now (where are You?)
When all I feel is doubt?
Oh, where are You now
When I can’t figure it out?
“Oh I, I-I-I, I hear You say
I hear You say
“Look up child, ayy
Look up child, ayy”
In her Grammy acceptance speech, Daigle made this comment.
DAIGLE: “And I love that music gives us the opportunity to look up. It gives us the opportunity to spread love to the entire world, and so I just want to thank Jesus for letting me be a part of this, that He’s put a voice in my throat.”
Unvaccinated Kids Getting Measles
One hundred and one cases of measles have been recorded recently, according to NBC News.
The Centers for Disease Control reports that the people coming down with measles have either not been vaccinated for the disease or haven’t received the measles booster shot.
The Church at Planned Parenthood
And finally, one courageous Seattle pastor stepped out in faith last October and planted a church right outside of Planned Parenthood. Called “The Church at Planned Parenthood,” they do once a month services outdoors in front of the Planned Parenthood abortion mill in Spokane, Washington.
The leaders insist that “The Church at Planned Parenthood is NOT a protest. It’s a worship service at the gates of Hell. The Church at Planned Parenthood is a gathering of Christians for the worship of God and the corporate prayer for repentance for this nation, repentance for the apathetic church and repentance of our blood guiltiness in this abortion holocaust.”
Listen to Pastor Ken Peters preaching of the gospel of repentance there at Planned Parenthood from a service there on October 24th, 2018.
PETERS: “I think the church cares, but listen to me. We don’t look like we care. We don’t look like we care, because we’re so busy. We know the path of peace. Luke says because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death, and guidance to the path of peace. We are in the shadow of death, and God’s light shows a way to the path of peace. We know it. Even the darkness knows that this is life.”
Pastor Peters shared that, “We’re aware of all the rules and doing our best to stay within those, so the police are definitely there. They’re watching. But we tell them we’re not there to cause trouble. We’re there to worship God. We’re there to pray. We’re there to preach the Gospel.”

Praise God for the courage of one Democrat Senator from West Virginia, Senator Joe Manchin. He applauded Trump who said late-term abortions must be banned. Manchin stood alone, and he called late-term abortions “horrific.”
Pray that more Senators and House Representatives would be convicted of the preciousness of every human life formed in God’s image.
NY Man, Who Killed Pregnant Woman, Only Charged in One Homicide
As a result of the new pro-infanticide law in New York, a man who killed a pregnant woman was not charged with the death of the unborn infant, last week. The prosecutors said that they couldn’t charge the murderer with the death of the baby because of no restrictions on abortion in the state.
On Lila Rose’s Twitter page she wrote, “A 5-months pregnant mother was murdered in Queens last week. Both her and her baby deserve justice. @NYGovCuomo’s new abortion law denies any justice for the slaying of the baby. Children ALL deserve protection – inside and outside of the womb.”
Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi Has Not Left the Country
International Christian Concern reports Asia Bibi is unsure of when or if she will be able to leave the country. She is currently in an undisclosed location near Karachi, Pakistan. This after she was permanently acquitted of false blasphemy charges on January 29th.

Psalm 40:1-2 says, “I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”
