American Pastor Tells Story of North Korean Christian Persecution

Pastor David Platt, who leads McLean Bible Church in Washington, D.C., recently visited the border between North and South Korea, praying for persecuted believers outside a demolished church in the world’s most oppressive regime in one video he posted.

Listen to Platt.

“Just 70 years ago, this was a church building in North Korea. It was destroyed by communists. All kind of torturing and killing happened inside this church building. The history actually of this church goes back before the Communists took over. When Japan was ruling here, and the pastor of this church refused to participate in shrine worship, the pastor was martyred. So right behind me is a picture of faithful saints who over the last century worshiped Christ here and paid for it with their lives. It’s a reminder of church buildings like this all across North Korea. They estimate there are 3,800 church buildings in North Korea — all of which are destroyed or some are used as Communist training facilities.”

I want to ask you to join with me in just praying for our persecuted brothers and sisters in North Korea right now.”

“God, we pray that you would strengthen them, that you would uphold them with your righteous right hand God. As they are worshiping in secret, as they’re in labor camps right now, God we pray, please, please strengthen them, sustain them.”

In a follow-up clip on Twitter, Platt revealed that he was inside a tunnel that North Koreans had dug in an attempt to get into South Korea.

Anti-Semite Kills 11, Injured 6 in Synagogue Shooting

In the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in America, 11 Jewish people were killed and six others were injured, including four police officers, during a shooting on Saturday at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

KDKA reported that the suspected gunman, 48-year-old Robert Bowers who was armed with an AR-15 and three handguns, yelled, “All Jews must die!”

Bowers, who was in fair condition at a hospital after being shot several times by police, was charged late on Saturday with 29 federal counts, including hate crimes and weapons offences, reports the Associated Press.

In a speech before the Future Farmers of America convention in Indianapolis, President Trump shared his heart.

TRUMP: “This wicked act of mass murder is pure evil. Our nation and the world are shocked. This was an anti-Semitic act. Our minds cannot comprehend the cruel hate and twisted malice that could cause a person to unleash such terrible violence, during a baby-naming ceremony at a sacred house of worship on the holy day of Sabbath.”

(A GoFundMe page to benefit the victims, their families and the synagogue has already raised $176,000 toward the $1 million goal.)

Straight Pride Flag Doesn’t Last 24 Hours in Canada

Residents in a central New Brunswick, Canadian village are seeking an apology from officials who allowed a “straight pride” flag to be raised in the center of town, reports the CBC.

The flag which depicted interlinked male and female symbols on a background of black and white horizontal lines — has been raised by some American conservative groups in the U.S. in response to homosexual pride events.

Elizabeth Johnston, the Activist Mommy, said, “if we live in a world where it’s OK to brag about how proud you are to be attracted to members of the same sex, the plain and simple truth is it’s flat-out hypocritical to get offended when people who aren’t homosexual want to celebrate their sexuality too.”

Ephesians 5:31 says, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”

“Christ Followers” File Lawsuit Against Tax Funded Drag Queen Story Hour

On Wednesday a federal judge in Texas rejected a lawsuit filed against a library for hosting a Drag Queen Storytime funded by taxpayer dollars, reports FaithWire.com.

A group of self-proclaimed “Christ followers” filed the lawsuit against the Houston Public Library and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner after the city sponsored a “Drag Queen Storytime” event for children. The Freed-Montrose Neighborhood branch, where the story hour took place, is located in Houston’s historic homosexual neighborhood.

You can call the library at 832-393-1800 to politely object to the taxpayer-funded Drag Queen story hour.

NBC Fired Megyn Kelly over Defense of Blackface Costume

On Friday, NBC fired talk show host Megyn Kelly after she said last Tuesday that it was appropriate for white people to dress in blackface as part of their Halloween costumes.

Kelly started Wednesday with an on-air apology which was not enough.

KELLY: “Good morning everyone. I’m Megyn Kelly. I want to begin with two words: I’m sorry. You may have heard that yesterday, we had a discussion here about political correctness and Halloween costumes. And that conversation turned to whether it is ever O.K. for a person of one race to dress up as another—a black person making their face lighter, or a white person making theirs darker to make a costume complete. I defended the idea, saying as long as it was respectful and part of a Halloween costume, it seemed O.K. Well, I was wrong, and I am sorry.”

NBC might have been looking for an excuse to get rid of her.

On Kelly’s watch, ratings in the 9 a.m. hour of “Today” shed 400,000 viewers, or 13 percent of its audience, compared to when the show was previously hosted by Al Roker and Tamron Hall.

Hindu Nationalists in India Increase Christian Persecution

Christians living in India’s Uttar Pradesh state endured a record-setting month for religious intolerance in September. According to a study by Violence Monitor, 25 cases of religious intolerance were documented in Uttar Pradesh in September 2018, reports International Christian Concern.

On September 13, a Christian in Jaunpur was leading a prayer meeting when he was beaten and threatened with severe consequences if he continued. Following that incident, other raids on Christian activities made local Christians so fearful that they were afraid of praying in their own homes.

The majority of the incidents documented Hindu nationalists targeting Christian leaders and falsely accusing them of forced conversions.

In 2014, the year the Hindu nationalist party – BJP — took power, the Evangelical Fellowship of India recorded 147 instances of Christian persecution in India. In 2017, after three years of BJP rule, the Evangelical Fellowship of India recorded 351 instances of Christian persecution.

After a five hour police interrogation, Byle was told he must leave the country, but would not be issued a re-entry ban.

Former Planned Parenthood Director to Make Pro-Life Movie

Abby Johnson, who left her job as a director at the College Station, Texas Planned Parenthood to fight for the lives of the unborn, and wrote the book Unplanned, is now making a movie about her story by the same name which will come out in the spring of 2019, reports LifeNews.com.

Johnson began to rethink her stance on abortion after she assisted with a 13-week, ultrasound-guided abortion at a Planned Parenthood that she managed. “I was shocked to see this 13-week-old fetus — it appeared to be struggling and moving away from the abortion instrumentation and I knew then that there was life in the womb.”

She now runs a non-profit organization called And Then There Were None, which provides support to abortion facility workers who quit their jobs.

Facebook Censored Pro-Life Ads

Facebook removed and rejected a pro-life group’s election advertisements featuring the stories of two babies who survived premature births.

The Susan B. Anthony List, a national pro-life advocacy organization that has knocked on over 2 million doors nationwide this year to drive turnout for the 2018 midterms, cried foul this week after Facebook took steps to censor two of its 30-second advertisements.

One of the video ads features the success story of Micah Pickering, who was born at 22 weeks of gestation. Listen to his mother, Danielle Pickering, take a stand for the rights of unborn children in the video which Facebook censored, reports The Christian Post.

“We were so excited to be having a little boy. Out of nowhere my water broke. At 22 weeks, Micah was delivered. We didn’t know if he could survive. When we first got to see him, he grabbed onto our fingers and he just held tight. Micah today is a wonderful little boy. For somebody to say that a baby at 20 weeks doesn’t have the right to live, I want to tell them to come and see Micah.

Fred Hubbell supports painful late term abortions. He’s just too extreme for Iowa.”
