Vice President Pence Walks Out on Football Game When Players Kneel for the Anthem

Vice President Mike Pence walked out on his home-state Indianapolis Colts yesterday when several members of the San Francisco 49ers from the opposing team knelt for the national anthem.

Pence tweeted, “I left today’s Colts game because the president and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem.”

Jerry Jones, owner of The Dallas Cowboys, said, “If there is anything disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period. … We cannot in the NFL, in any way, give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag. We cannot do that. I know the vice president did leave because in his opinion, the teams were.”

Hollywood Mogul Harvey Weinstein Fired by His Own Company for Sexual Misconduct

Harvey Weinstein, one of Hollywood’s most powerful moguls, was fired yesterday by his own company for three decades of sexual misconduct, including accusations that he propositioned actresses and harassed female employees, reports TheWrap.com.

The company has been under intense pressure since The New York Times broke an investigative story on Thursday.

Harvey and his brother Bob Weinstein co-founded the indie film company Miramax in 1979 and grew it into a powerhouse brand that made art-house films mainstream with movies including “Pulp Fiction,” “Shakespeare in Love” and “Good Will Hunting.”

Miramax was bought by Disney in 1993, and the brothers continued to run the company until they left in 2005 to launch the new privately held Weinstein Company.

Former Satanist Warns Christians Against Celebrating Halloween

A former satanist has issued a warning to Christians on the dangers of celebrating Halloween.

In an article for CharismaNews.com, John Ramirez, who used to be a high-ranking priest within the Satanic Temple before miraculously having his heart opened to the Gospel, does not believe that Christians should “cute-ify” evil by allowing their children to dress up in costumes and trick-or-treat.

Ramirez has a very different view. He warns Christians that it is impossible to separate the dark origins of Halloween from the seemingly harmless practices of today.

PCUSA Pastor Says Christianity Is Not the Only Way to Heaven

The leader of the second largest congregation in the Presbyterian Church (USA), Rev. Shannon Johnson Kershner, has declared that Christianity is not the only way to heaven.

Kershner, 45, who leads the 5,500-member Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, Illinois, expressed her belief in a podcast with the Chicago Sun-Times.

Interviewer: “Is Christianity the only way to get to heaven, if heaven exists?”
Kershner: “(Laughs) No. God’s not a Christian. I mean, we are … For me, the Christian tradition is the way to understand God and my relationship with the world and other humans and it’s for the way for me to move into that relationship.  But I’m not about to say what God can and cannot do in other ways and with other spiritual experiences.”

According to the Presbyterian Panel Survey, 2012-2014, 45 percent of PCUSA pastors strongly disagree or disagree that “only followers of Jesus Christ can be saved.”

In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father [God] except through Me.”

When asked what she thought about hell, she said she doesn’t think the God she knows from the Bible will be sending anyone there.

“Do I think that God is going to condemn someone to hell? That doesn’t really fit, as a Christian person, with what I see revealed of God in Jesus Christ. That just doesn’t fit with the God I know who’s defined primarily by love and mercy and grace. … It’s just hard for me to reconcile the idea of God damning someone to hell with the God that I see and know.”

But Matthew 25:41 says, “Then Jesus will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.”

Homosexual Daughter of Focus on the Family Executive Says She Was Rejected by Her Family

The daughter of a Focus on the Family executive, who is married to another woman, has released a book in which she states that she was rejected by her own family after declaring that she was attracted to her own gender.

In her book entitled Refocusing My Family: Coming Out, Being Cast Out, and Discovering the True Love of God, Amber Cantorna details how coming out to her family back in 2012 “cost her everything.”

Cantorna wrote, “My Focus on the Family upbringing had taught me that the LGBTQ community were basically the archenemy of Christianity and were responsible for destroying the family unit.”

Romans 1:26 says, “God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.”

Paul Batura, vice president of communications at Focus on the Family, told The Christian Post in an email that, “Our hearts break for all families navigating the very challenging reality of estrangement. They are deserving of our empathy and our prayers.”

Congressman Chris Smith Furious at the US’s Refusal to Help Religious Minorities Against ISIS Genocide

Astonishingly, for three years the career staff at the State Department and USAID have refused to help endangered religious minority communities like Christians and Yazidis survive the genocide which ISIS began in 2014. These communities stand on the brink of extinction. And Republican Congressman Chris Smith of New Jersey, who visited with these groups last Christmas, is furious!

Christian Headlines reports that Congressman Smith believes that President Trump “should issue a presidential decision directive … instructing the State Department and USAID to fund entities … that can capably provide on-the-ground humanitarian and recovery assistance to the religious and ethnic minority communities targeted for genocide.”

American Pastor Remains Imprisoned in Turkey on False Charges

Dr.  Andrew Brunson, who has been a pastor in Turkey for two decades, remains imprisoned in Turkey on the bogus charge that he is somehow a threat to national security.

In an October 5th Townhall.com column, Republican Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma wrote “The United States will not stand idly by as these oppressive tactics target American citizens.”

Plus, he noted that “Turkey’s historic commitment to religious freedom and the rule of law has rapidly diminished in recent years.”

Senator Lankford went on to say, “Our nation’s relationship with Turkey is clearly moving in the wrong direction. It’s unacceptable for a NATO ally to unjustly imprison an innocent American.”

Pope Francis Tells Internet Company Executives to Defend Children from Exploitation

At the conference entitled “Child Dignity in the Digital World”, Pope Francis told executives of leading internet companies last Friday to use “their great profits” to defend children from sexual exploitation and other dangers lurking online, reports Christian Today.

The pontiff, speaking at a conference in Rome, said the Catholic Church needed to accept responsibility “before God, victims and public opinion” for its own sex abuse scandals, but wanted to share the lessons it had learned.

The 80-year-old pope spoke out against the spread of extreme pornography, the dangers of so-called “sexting” between young people and between adults and children, and cyber bullying, calling it “a true form of moral and physical attack”.

Freedom From Religion Foundation Attacks High School Marching Band

The Freedom From Religion Foundation, the notorious atheist organization, has filed a complaint against an Alabama high school, alleging that its marching band endorses Christianity.

According to TheBlaze.com, Leeds City Schools’ high school marching band plays hymns including “I Saw the Light,” “Swing Low Sweet Chariot,” “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee,” and “Amazing Grace” during its half-time show.

But the God-hating group really blew a gasket when they learned about the band’s decision to set up church pews on the football field.

Their attorney Chris Line said, “It was clearly meant to evoke a Christian worship service that you’ll see on Sunday in a church.”

Leeds City Schools Superintendent John Moore remained unintimidated by the Freedom from Religion Foundation’s complaint, saying, “We do not have plans to stop the show.”

Evidence Shows Link Between Abortion and Breast Cancer

There is a demonstrable connection between women who abort and women who get breast cancer, reports Life News.

Dr. Joel Brind, co-founder of the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute, notes that abortion has escalated in China and South Asia over the last few decades. Breast cancer in these regions of the world is also increasing.

Brind notes that breast cancer often takes 20 years to show up after an event that might trigger it like abortion.

He cited a study by Dr. Yubei Huang which documented a 44 percent increase in breast cancer risk among women who had one or more abortions. If a woman had three abortions, the risk for breast cancer was increased up to 89 percent.
