Sudanese Church Bulldozed
Without prior notice and just a few hours after the end of Sunday worship at the Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church, authorities demolished a church building in North Khartoum yesterday with a bulldozer accompanied by police in three trucks, reports Morning Star News.
The church sat on land that the government helped a Muslim business to seize.
Update on Billy Graham’s Health
During a devotional delivered at a week-long Bible conference on Moody Bible Institute’s Chicago campus, Anne Graham Lotz gave an update on the health of her legendary father Billy Graham who is nearly 100 years old.
“I would be remiss if I didn’t bring you greetings from my father. I’m not sure he knows that I’m here. He doesn’t track like he used to, but his mind is still clear.
“He can’t see; he has a hard time seeing because of macular degeneration. He’s fairly deaf, I have to use a microphone and he wears a headset for me to speak to him. He’s not mobile.”
“He’s still gorgeous. His white hair and blue eyes. He’s just gotten quieter. It’s as though he’s said everything he wants to say and he’s tired. And so, he listens, very precious, and it’s wonderful to be in his presence.”
Leviticus 19:32 says, “You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the LORD.”
How You Can Take a Stand Against Oregon Euthanasia
Last week, The World View reported on the pro-euthanasia Oregon House Bill 4135 which will allow patients with a mental illness, like Alzheimer’s or dementia, but are still able to eat and drink, to be starved and dehydrated to death.
The time to take action is now since the Oregon House will vote on the bill tomorrow, February 15th.

Atheist Group Crushed Acknowledgement of God
Arkansas’ Searcy High School featured some powerful Bible verses in their choir room.
- Ephesians 5:19: “Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord”
- >Colossians 3:14: “Love binds us together in perfect harmony” and
- Psalm 42:1: “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God”
After the Freedom From Religion Foundation complained, Superintendent Diane Barrett said that the displays were taken down, reports Christian News.
While some state that God and government must remain separated, others note that the nation was founded by those who believed that America could not expect to be blessed if it failed to acknowledge and honor Almighty God.
On March 23, 1798—less than 12 years after the signing of the U.S. Constitution—John Adams, the second president of the United States, called for a day of national repentance, prayer and fasting, saying “[T]he safety and prosperity of nations ultimately and essentially depend on the protection and the blessing of Almighty God…”
Bill Murray: Democrats Are Divisive
Actor Bill Murray, known for Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, and Groundhog Day, sat down with CNBC’s Squawk Box, and said that Democrats often create political division by striving to represent certain minorities, rather than simply saying they represent all Americans.
“They try to pick out little pieces of a population. We represent the Hispanics. We represent the LGBT or something. They’re not speaking to everyone at once. It’s almost demeaning to say I’m choosing you because you’re a splinter group or you’re a certain minority group.
“There’s almost a resentment that somehow you are separated again by a politician. I’m in control of you. I represent you instead of thinking that each citizen has a right to be respected as a citizen first, under the laws of the country.”
History of Valentine’s Day
Did you ever wonder about the origin of Valentine’s Day?
Emperor Claudius II, called Claudius the Cruel, ruled the Roman Empire with an iron fist during the third century. He was having difficulty recruiting soldiers and believed Roman men were unwilling to leave their loved ones because soldiers were required to fight for at least 25 years. Therefore, Claudius banned all marriages and engagements.
That’s why Valentinus, a leader in the church who refused to worship the Roman gods, secretly married Christian couples in the woods at night until he was caught and arrested for both crimes against the state. Valentinus was so gutsy, he even proclaimed Jesus as God incarnate and dared to invite the emperor to believe in Him and be saved.
According to the Voice of the Martyrs children’s book entitled “The Story of St. Valentine” which I have in the McManus Home Library, Valentinus prayed that God would restore the sight of his jailer’s blind daughter which led to her miraculous sight while awaiting his execution. On the eve of his death, he wrote a note to the jailer’s daughter and signed it, “From your Valentine.”
In 496 A.D, more than 200 years after Valentinus was executed, a church leader marked February 14th as a celebration to honor Valentine’s courageous life to replace a pagan Roman holiday, which had honored Juno, the Queen of the Roman gods.

Corruption Accusations Against Israeli Prime Minister
The Israeli police announced yesterday that there was sufficient evidence indicating Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took bribes in two separate cases and acted “against public interests”, reports Haaretz.
The two cases are the so-called Case 1000 – in which Netanyahu is suspected of accepting lavish gifts from wealthy benefactors in return for advancing their interests – and Case 2000, which alleges that Netanyahu tried to strike a deal that would have provided him with positive coverage in Israel’s second largest newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, in exchange for hurting its free rival, Israel Hayom.
Trump’s Son, Daughter-in-Law Targeted with White Powder
Vanessa Trump, the wife of Donald Trump Jr., sought treatment at a New York City hospital Monday after opening a letter that contained a white powder which had been addressed to her husband, reports World Magazine.
Trump called 911 when she started coughing and feeling nauseous. A New York Police Department spokesman said preliminary tests indicated the powder did not contain anything harmful, although they don’t yet know what it was.
Success Defined by Young American Pastors
According to a report released by the Dallas-based Leadership Network titled “How a New Generation of Pastors Is Shifting to Strategies That Reproduce and Multiply,” the vast majority of pastors younger than 40 — 83 percent — value not just reproduction, defined as “starting a new church or campus,” but multiplication, or “starting new churches or campuses with the vision that they, too, will start new churches or campuses.”
Among the 20 top-attendance churches in North America, 18 of them (or 90 percent) are multisite, reports The Christian Post.
Dirty Dozen Corporations Guilty of Sexual Exploitation
On Monday, The National Center on Sexual Exploitation released its 2018 “Dirty Dozen List.”
The list highlights well-known companies and entities that are considered to be “mainstream facilitators of sexual exploitation in our society and culture.”
They include:
- Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer which sells eroticized child nudity photography books, and books with actual ‘how to’ instructions for sex trafficking
- Comcast, the nation’s leading cable television and internet service providers, that provides access to hardcore pornography.
- iBooks, which is an app “filled with erotic literature that supports rape myths, normalizes adult-with-teen-themed and incest-themed exploitation.”
- Roku which provides backdoor streaming access to hardcore pornography.
- Snapchat, a popular social networking apps used most by teens today, which allows users to monetize and profit from exchanging pornography.
- Steam, the online video game distribution service used by 35 million minors with 780 games in the categories of “sexual content” and “nudity.”
- HBO, the premium cable television network, which is guilty in helping to normalize rape myths, sexual violence, and commercial sexual exploitation.
- Twitter, one of the world’s most popular social media and news distribution platforms, features 10 million Twitter accounts devoted to pornography.
- YouTube, the Google-owned video-sharing platform which hosts videos that target children and put children’s characters in “sexually charged or violent situations.”
High School Teacher in California Sexually Harassed by Students
A California high school teacher has joined the #MeToo movement. But the culprits are not administrators or other faculty.
Instead, Tamalpais High School math teacher Eva Rieder claims that male students have sexually harassed her more than a dozen times with physical touching and obscene emails, letters and phone calls, reports the Marin Independent Journal.
School administrators and staff failed to respond to her reports or take any action to stop it.
Young Man Paralysed at 13 Becomes Skiing Champion
Andrew Kurka was an award-winning wrestler at the age of 13 when an ATV-related accident left him paralyzed from the waist down, reports the Good News Network.
Today, at 26, Kurla from Homer, Alaska is a mono-alpine skiing champion, competing in the Pyeongchang Winter Paralympic Games in South Korea.
