Christian Leaders Urge Trump to Remember Chinese Believers
The Trump administration was strongly urged by a congressionally-mandated commission to bring up the continued persecution of Christians and other religious minorities with China’s top trade negotiator during this week’s trade talks in Washington, reports The Christian Post.
The bipartisan U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIFR), which includes three evangelical leaders who’ve engaged informally with the Trump White House, called for administration officials to discuss China’s systematic persecution of Christians, Uighur Muslims, and others minorities with Vice Premier Liu He during his visit.
Liu’s visit comes as the U.S. Department of Defense estimates that as many as three million Uighur Muslims have been sent to detention camps in the Xinjiang province of China, while countless Christians, Buddhists, and Falun Gong practitioners continue to face arrest, imprisonment and the closing of their houses of worship.
USCIRF Commissioner Gary Bauer said, “At a time when the lives and freedoms of millions of Chinese people are under attack by their own government, we must put religious freedom and human rights on the agenda, too.”
(In its 2019 annual report, USCIRF called for the Trump administration to use targeted sanctions against Chinese officials who either “perpetrated or tolerated” religious freedom violations.)
Converse Exploits 11-Year-Old Drag Queen, Celebrates Perverted
Converse is releasing a line of their popular Chuck Taylor shoes that focuses on the sexually perverted as part of its so-called “Pride Collection”. Plus, Converse is also exploiting a clearly confused 11-year-old boy who dresses like a girl named Desmond Napoles to make a buck, reports RedState.com.
Desmond made headlines when he danced at a homosexual bar in New York at 2 a.m. while patrons threw money at him. The 11-year-old is often posing and dancing in ways that adult female dancers would in order to accentuate certain parts of the body. The end goal is that his act has normalized the sexualization of children.
Matthew 18:6 has a message for Converse. “If anyone causes one of these little ones–those who believe in me–to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
Consider two action steps. First, stop buying Converse products. And second, call Converse’s toll-free number to object at 1-800-428-2667. That’s 1-800-428-2667.
Homosexual, Pro-Abort PA Rep’s Non-Apology Apology
Brian Sims, a homosexual Democratic Pennsylvania legislator, offered a half-hearted apology after he angrily confronted an elderly pro-life lady and three pro-life girls who were praying outside a Planned Parenthood abortion mill where he volunteers, reports The Christian Post.
Listen to what he said initially to the elderly woman.
SIMS: “Who would have thought that an old white lady would be out in front of a Planned Parenthood telling people what is right for their bodies? Shame on you. Shame on you for hiding your face at the same time you’re shaming other people. What you’re doing here is disgusting. This is wrong. You have no business being out here.”
And here is a soundbite of his harassment of a mother and her teenage daughters who were praying outside of Planned Parenthood.
SIMS: “Hi everyone. Rep. Brian Sims here, and I am outside the Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania. What we’ve got here is a bunch of protestors, a bunch of pseudo-Christian protestors who have been out here shaming young girls for being here. So, here’s the deal. I’ve got a $100 to anybody who will identify any one of these three that I will donate to Planned Parenthood. There is nothing Christian about what you are doing.”
Psalm 94:4 declares, “They pour forth words, they speak arrogantly; All who do wickedness vaunt themselves.”
The pro-life mother of the teen girls said, “So, we’re actually here just praying for the babies.”
Subsequently, responding to the outrage over his behavior, Democratic Representative Sims posted a video to his Twitter account on Tuesday which has been viewed 1.8 million times.
SIMS: “I was a neighbor and a concerned citizen, and I was aggressive. I know that two wrongs don’t make a right. I can do better, and I will do better, for the women of Pennsylvania.”
Ironically, the first alleged “wrong” to which Rep. Sims refers are the prayers of the pro-life Christian activists outside the abortion mill. The second wrong was both his angry confrontation coupled with his offer of $100 to anyone who would help him identify the young pro-life girls.
Ashley Garecht, the mother of the teenagers, told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that “I was concerned that he said multiple times that he wanted the identities of my daughters.”
San Antonio College Targets Chick-fil-A for Christian Convictions
And finally, Chick-fil-A is being vilified once again. This time by the student government of Trinity University, a private liberal arts college in San Antonio, Texas affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, which voted unanimously to ban food from Chick-fil-A for their Biblical stand on sexuality and marriage, reports The Christian Post.
Chick-fil-A does not have a restaurant on the campus, but its food is made available on a rotating basis, typically once every two weeks.
In a resolution adopted May 1, the Trinity Uiversity student government cited Chick-fil-A’s ominous $1.8 million donations to the Salvation Army, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home.

Pastor in Cameroon Killed on April 7th
After Pastor Keloh Elijah returned home to greet his wife and six children in Cameroon, Africa on April 7th, he was allegedly shot and killed by three gunshots at 8:30am as he made his way to church by military forces in amid the ongoing violence in the country’s Anglophone regions, reports the Christian Post.
His family fled into the forest for protection as a ministry called the Oasis Network for Community Transformation is helping the pastor’s family cross the border to Nigeria.
Last year, it was estimated that at least 2,000 people had been killed in the conflict with over 200,000 people being displaced amid reports of military forces turning churches into military barracks.
Trump Pressures Iran to End Nuclear Program
President Donald Trump on Thursday urged Iran’s leaders talk with him about giving up their nuclear program and said he could not rule out a military confrontation.
Trump made the offer as he increased economic and military pressure on Iran, moving to cut off all Iranian oil exports this month while beefing up the U.S. Navy and Air Force presence in the Gulf. Acting U.S. Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan approved a new deployment of Patriot missiles to the Middle East.
The U.S. aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, deployed as a warning to Iran, passed through Egypt’s Suez Canal on Thursday and American B-52 bombers have also arrived at a U.S. base in Qatar.
According to the U.S. Maritime Administration on Friday, Iran could target U.S. commercial ships including oil tankers as a senior Iranian cleric said a U.S. Navy fleet could be “destroyed with one missile”, reports Reuters.
Monsignior to Mayor Pete: Your “Gay” Marriage Does Not Draw You Closer to God!
In recent remarks, Pete Buttigieg, Democratic presidential candidate and mayor of South Bend, Indiana, remarked that his homosexual “marriage” to Chasten Glezman has brought him closer to God.
Buttigieg said, “Being married to Chasten has made me a better human being because it has made me more compassionate, more understanding, more self-aware and more decent. My marriage to Chasten has made me a better man. And yes, Mr. Vice President, it has moved me closer to God.”
Msgr. Charles Pope wrote in the NC Register, “This raises a question: To what god has he moved closer? Respectfully and sincerely, Mr. Buttigieg, it cannot be the God who has revealed himself in the Scriptures … God is not in the habit of speaking out of both sides of his mouth. He does not contradict himself by altering, let alone reversing (as you claim) His teachings.
“At every stage of scriptural revelation, from Genesis through the New Testament, God has spoken of homosexual acts as sinful and disordered. [Genesis 19:1-29; Romans 1:18ff; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Timothy 1:10]
“He also condemns other forms of illicit sexual union such as fornication and adultery. Jesus even condemns the entertaining of lustful thoughts.”
“There are too many people today who think they have a perfect right to simply reinvent God, ignoring what he has plainly revealed. This refashioned God, amazingly, just happens to agree with them about everything! We used to call this practice of creating one’s own god and worshipping it “idolatry.”
No More Money for James MacDonald from Harvest Bible Chapel
Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago said no tithes or severance will go to James MacDonald, its longtime pastor and the previous host of “Walk in the Word”, who was ousted in February, nor will any of its affiliated entities benefit him financially, reports The Christian Post.
More Pastors Need to Preach the Hard Things
When Rev. Mark Creech, president of the Christian Action League of North Carolina, was set to deliver a sermon entitled “It’s a Bad Thing When God Dies” at a revival he was unsure how it would be received, reports The Christian Post.
He said that Christians don’t deny God outright, but we often live as though He were dead as though we don’t need him, something he dubbed “practical atheism.”
He made a number of references to things political like our nation’s Christian heritage, the growing acceptance of socialism, the wholesale acceptance of evolution, all of which has led to the demise of the sacredness of human life and even a rash of school shootings in recent years.
The message was laced with the hope that God provides through the blood of Jesus Christ, but it confronted people with the need to repent – a message by nature quite negative. It challenged them to make a choice — to choose Christ.
At the end of the service, pastors affirmed the sermon, which Rev. Creech, noted was as “reaffirmation for me that if preachers would make a mark for eternity, they must … preach the hard things. If the truth is told, there hardly ever seems to be an appropriate time to preach the hard things.”
45% of Adults Have Difficulty Making New Friends
Forty-five percent of adults say they find it difficult to make new friends, according to new research, reports the New York Post.
A new study into the social dynamics of 2,000 Americans revealed that the average American hasn’t made a new friend in five years.
The study, conducted by OnePoll in conjunction with Evite, uncovered that one of the reasons 42 percent of adults struggle to make friends is due to introversion or shyness. Plus, there’s a sense that everyone’s friendship groups have already formed.
Proverbs 13:20 says, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”
6 or More Cups of Coffee Increases Heart Disease by 22%
While one study released in 2017 found that drinking four or more cups daily may reduce one’s risk of death from any cause, the latest StudyFinds.org discovery found that drinking six or more cups in a day increases a person’s risk of developing heart disease by up to 22 percent.
That’s because too much caffeine can cause high blood pressure, a precursor to heart disease, researchers say.
